My particular room was very nice. Warning though, take the bottled water. Tap water was disgusting, would not even recommend for coffee

The hotel was very accommodating. Our room had a view of the river and mountains. Staff was friendly and helpful, although most everything was already there without having to ask. The restaurant in the lobby was also great.
Nice hotel and clean. Beds were comfortable and I liked they have Netflix on the tvs. However the bathrooms have a sliding door that does not seal and their is no fan. If you use this hotel know that anything that happens in the bathroom will be heard by everyone else.
Beautiful view from here, John. Enjoy your retirement.
I have stayed at Marriott Hotels all over the country as a business traveler. This hotel is the oldest one I have stayed in, but they are completing renovations. I don't enjoy the overall ambience of the halls, room, size, etc. I didn't really mind because I am here on business. What I do mind is having my room be inhabitable for hours during the day which I paid for.
They do not tell you on their website or during booking, but they are completing renovations on the outside of the hotel. When I went into my room at 11 in the morning, there was a man in a huge gas mask and extremely loud sander on my balcony. My room was smelled terrible and the air was so dusty that I didn't want to breathe (I guess that was the point of his mask). I had a conference call that I had to reschedule because no one could hear me over the sound of his machines. I asked if he could come back to my room later and he gave me the sign for 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, I had to leave because my ears couldn't stand the noise.
I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do and how long he would be there. The woman said that they work from 9-5 during the summer. My room could not be used until they left at 5 and they did not even say I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
You will be paying a large sum for the room, $30/day for parking, $13/day for wireless. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone.
After insisting on a better room, as I paid for their best, and waiting an hour, I finally got a room with a great view.
Great places to stay I enjoy the wonderful breakfast
We have really enjoyed our stay at the Marriot. The rooms are very nice. The decor has a modern feel touched with northwest charm. The service here is outstanding which was very much appreciated.
I've stayed at plenty of marriotts and I have to say that this one is probably one of the worst ones I've stayed at. Upon entering the room there was a smell of what smelled like onion that stayed with us the whole time. There was a pop stain on the toilet seat which we never used as the toilet paper was still nearly folded. The smoke detector had a cover over it rendering it useless. Give it a 3/5, not sure if i would stay again.
Food was great, roast beef sandwich with sweet pickled onions and hot ham and cheese
Beautiful hotel. Just under $200 for a king for 2 people. Very nice and very clean. Nice staff, intuitive amenities like book lights on the headboard, but no coffee. Be aware you need your key to get the elevator to move at all, just like in the Czech Republic. Only complaint was the shower controls were insanely hard to figure out.
The recently remodeled rooms were great, as was the brand new M Club lounge.
Really nice lunch buffey for the Microsoft conference.
The view is nice if you actually face the water. The rooms look pretty modern. The service isn't great.
Good hotel. Very nice staff. Rooms are nice and well laid out. Concierge lounge is comfortable with good food and lots of space. Convenient downtown location.
Nicely located. Enjoyed the Club level. Breakfast was solid.
Great service and nice room with beautiful water view.
It's nice, but for the amount you pay there isn't much of a room. Quality, cleaniness is outstanding but value isn't there.
Beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were well designed. Bathrooms were small and the shower could have had better water pressure, but overall a great room. The balcony was a nice touch as well.
I never knew there were event rooms in the lower floors. It's a big building . Good place to sleep though
Great hotel for business meetings. Remodeled and very clean. MClub on 3rd floor is a nice addition.
Rooms and staff are great. Good room service food and drinks. DO NOT USE VALET SERVICE HERE! Normal to have two hour wait on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
I was there for a conference during the day at one of the downstairs training rooms. The rooms were large and accommodating, the lighting was good, the temperature was perfect, and the facilities were large enough to take care of a couple hundred guys during a fifteen minute break. The hotel also provided coffee and ice water, although I'm pretty sure that the drinks were paid for by the conference sponsor. Overall, a decent, even better than decent, facility to hold a conference for several hundred people.
Great views but at a price where you d expect better.
The bath faucet that was loose, outdated furniture, loose charging stations,or a wacky HVAC?
While staff were friendly, the hotel is meh.
Very nice hotel, the staff is especially professional and polite... Gym is huge; modern lobby and rooms; great views.
Comfortable beds and modern decor. Beautiful views!
The staff was great from the time I parked the car. It's right on the waterfront and I like that about it.
Very nice rooms, the bar was a little spendy but fun.
This was my first Marriott in awhile, the room was nice and had a lot of technology features (like access to Netflix and Hulu) Room service was interesting but very good. I would stay here again.
I love all Marriott hotels. The room was clean, loved the look of the bathroom and the light up mirror. Lobby was nice and clean and valet was quick and friendly. There as a good amount of elevators and they were good sized elevators. The view we received was amazing. There s a small balcony you can hang out on. It was still a little chilly but I m sure it ll be perfect during warmer weather. There was a fridge but no freezer. In front of the hotel there s a trail too, would be perfect to run in the morning. The place can be a little noisy as it s closer to the busy streets.
If you don't have much time, take a Legends tour to see the city, to get the history, and to spend some time in their awesome gardens.
Great location, with several restaurants within walking distance. The room was a little cramped and had bad lighting. Room service was prompt and everyone we interacted with was very friendly.
So far so good. Spent some time here for Memorial Day weekend. The hotel is very busy and so far accommodating. The 2 queen bedroom we are staying in is clean and cozy.
Great staff and crew for the week long conference I went too. Did not stay here.
Excellent views of the waterfront and My. Hood on clear days.
Nice hotel, Mclub is great. Try to get a waterfront view. Staff were super friendly and courteous.
Check in staff were very friendly to satisfy requests and make stay enjoyable!
Service is fantastic. Crew is soooooooo nice. Environment is awesome. Super clean room with all the amenities. They also work with Thann as their shampoo supplier! Amazing! I love this place so much!
We got a deal on priceline so the hotel was perfect for the price we paid. Not sure we would have felt the same paying full price. Room was a little small but clean, comfy and staff was very welcoming. Overall a good experience.
Excellent location for a conference. Centrally located in walking distance to tons of retail, dining and local attractions.
Not an ideal hotel and would not recommend for travelers. There are much better values in the area. Food is good and the lounge is great but rooms leave a lot to be desired.
Nice rooms, M Lounge is better than most. Not the most convenient location for me but I'm sure it is for others
It's a beautiful hotel, and the staff seem very friendly
Spectacular in every way! Would fershure stay here again!
Proof Reader hotel lounge has good drinks and eats.
The room was Quant and elegant. Very comfortable with a great view of the water. The shower was awesome great pressure and lots of space. Food was great too only issue we had was Parking was a bit expensive.
I had used Marriott points to get a free night for my 10th anniversary and wasn't expecting much for a free room. They upgraded us to a river view room, plus had champagne waiting in our room for us! Great service!
The garlic french fries were good but not crispy enough for my tastes.
Beautiful space located across the street from the Portland Riverfront. It's got easy access to the entire City. The valet service is fabulous making it easy to get your car for exploring. The rooms are cozy and nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean friendly close to public transport.no problems with a typical weekend stay.
We stayed here because we went to a concert at the Keller Auditorium (short 2-block walk). In morning walked along the river. Convenient location, super clean and nice!
A surprisingly pleasant stay, staff were all very helpful and friendly. Access to breakfast is well worth it since they obviously put time and effort into it as opposed to simply putting out various cheap pastries and powdered scrambled eggs. Centrally located downtown within walking distance to most area attractions and a wide selection of restaurants. The parking garage is a block away which is a bit of a pain but not bad enough to impact the stay. Rooms are clean and service is prompt if you need anything. Would fully recommend staying here if you're coming to Portland.
We have been staying at this hotel for about 7 years now for business trips to Portland at least three times a year. This past stay was totally unacceptable. The floor of the kitchenette was so filthy it was disgusting, there were drops of sticky food all over it and I ended up washing it so my feet wouldn't keep sticking to whatever was all over it and the towel I used to clean it was black and nasty. The furniture in the room was worn and dirty and in need of replacing. The desk chair looked like something they picked up off the street corner it was so torn and dirty I didn't even want to sit on it. I let the front desk know about the condition of my room and they said they'd send someone up with a new chair, I asked that they not enter my room without my being there and had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and staff went into my room anyways and moved my personal belongings around while there, it was very disturbing and strange that they would enter a room with a Do Not Disturb sign on it and the replacement chair was almost as bad as the original one. When I let the management know that the room was unacceptable they did give me a very small credit on my account (less than 1/4 of one daily room rate), but seriously for the rate that these rooms go for I felt like they should have given me a credit much higher as this was more like a stay in a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. We won't be returning to this hotel until they've remodeled or done something to make the rooms nicer and cleaner.
Hotel was clean. Staff was helpful. Location was great.
Beautiful hotel. Great location. Jenna sent a charcuterie up to our room with champagne. So sweet.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the facilities are nice and the location is great. I will stay here again the next time I visit Portland.
Perfect location and the M Club was the best I've ever been to, mostly because of the worderful staff.
Great location right next to the water. Rooms are very comfortable and great decor
The staff was great! Very helpful and courteous. The hotel was great for the conference I was at...great food and wonderful rooms.
Rooms are clean and modern with fantastic views. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that this location still has their tubs!
We had such a wonderful stay at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront! We arrived early and we were able to check in to a beautiful room with an amazing view. We also were allowed to sign up for late check out with no extra charge. On top of the chic, comfortable rooms and amazing service from the start the staff also heard me mention it was my 30th birthday and had a gift of champagne and chocolates sent to the room. It was a great time and we will definitely be back.
Visited for a quick 5 hour meeting. Very friendly valet and clean hotel.
Well placed as we we're here for the Dragon boat festival. Very well furnished with up to date modern d designs. Bar staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay.
Short walk through beautiful neighborhood to Farmer's Market Saturday morning.
Beautiful views.
Spotless.
Flawless.
Lots of traffic noise on the higher flootsy. Rooms were night and clean.
Great hotel - fantastic rooms and the bistro has great food and beer
It is an expensive hotel in the downtown area. In here for business trip. It's quiet and in a nice location near downtown. The rooms are comfortable
The hotel was very lovely and well kept, with a very clean and modern feel. Our room was very nice, spacious and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and helped make the stay very enjoyable.
It was a first time visit to the hotel. Beautiful place. Good for stay.
Excellent service and great food.
Centrally located.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and convention space is professional and well organized. Location of the hotel is also good.
Very nice stay. Gym located on the 3rd floor with my room. Very nice.
From our short visit, lobby bathroom was fairly clean and the chairs and couches were comfortable. The room looked small, though.
Great location. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The people working there were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. A pleasant stay.
Employees were super nice. Hotel was very clean and modernized
Excellent hotel in a good and safe part of downtown Portland. A quick 15 minute walk downtown and close to convenience stores and public transit (streetcar and Trimet). Room recently redone. Very clean and comfy. Also fantastic whisky bar in lobby.
First time in Portland & first stay in Marriot. Rooms and bathroom were very small. View was really awful. Plus side Staff were helpful and nice.Overall okay, definitely will not return.
Service is great. Rooms are modernish - but you can tell they're dated. Our room has an a/c unit in the room...not central A/C. That being said, not a huge issue since everything is clean. Good hotel!
I attended a Microsoft tech Summit at the Portland Marriott. Various sessions were held in the conference rooms at the Marriott. Those rooms were set up well, the sound system made it easier to hear the speakers and the chairs wooden tables were comfortable. The staff were very helpful and breakfast and lunch were provided. The breakfast was standard fare but the quality was above normal and the lunch was very good with food options for my vegetarian needs. Overall it was a great place to have a conference.
Work events here. Staff is awesome. Food is great. It's fancy and inviting.
Everyone treat's you like a king or queen. Great staff always smiling and will to help you right away thank you.
Nice hotel, be prepared for nickel-and-diming if you're not Marriott elite
Great service, the best views.... you can always count on consistently the best...
Rooms are newly renovated and very modern. Friendly, helpful staff and the breakfast was excellent.
