You're coming here for the view and a reasonably tasty meal. Nothing is going to be spectacular or overly original, but the happy hour menu is stellar and there isn't a better view of the city. Happy hour fills up really early, so get there on the front side if you're dead set on window seats. Not great odds of getting a table if you're looking to sneak in for the last 30 minutes of happy hour. Pretty good beer, cocktail, and wine selections. Great place to take out of town visitors so lots of tourists all the time.

Went there for mothers day. Service was wonderful and the view is great. There were four in our party. Only one of the 4 didn't make a comment about their food not being what they expected. One person had pork and they felt it was more done than they had ordered. The next person ordered a steak and they said it wasn't that great for the price. My dish was a chicken breast and it was the strangest piece of chicken I have ever had, I don't know if it was tough or muscle or what but it wasn't nice and juicy at all.
Not sure I would go again.

One of my favourite bars in Portland. I go there on regular basis since I moved to PDX. Happy hour is superb with delicious small plates, tasteful drinks and outstanding bartenders - Ryan, Trivias and Marvin!

Extremely happy and impressed! The staff was fantastic and when I reserved my table and noted it was an anniversary dinner, they went above and beyond with special decorations and a complimentary desert. The food was fantastic and worth every penny. Thanks for making our night so special!

What can you say that hasn't already been said! Amazing views and a great menu to choose from. The staff is all super friendly and they knew the menu front to back when I went. We went on a Tuesday evening and didn't need a reservation, but it did fill up fast while we were there. If you have a super important dinner or a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead.

If coming from out of town I would try somewhere else. I was impressed by the view but that was about it. The restaurant itself was so loud I could barely hear across the table, the food was mediocre, and the price was over the top. The cheese plate was pretty good and the wait staff was nice though.

By far one of the best places I ve ever been. The staff was super helpful and didn t ask us how we were every 5 minutes which was good for a change and they even got us in a hr early. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very laid back. I would go here every time I m back in Portland.

The views are amazing especially at night when the city is lit up. It's always busy so you may not get a window seat. It's a great place to take out of town visitors. A bit price, but happy hour prices are reasonable.

Went to Portland City Grill the wait was ridiculously long for having made a 2 week in advance reservation. Finally we were directed to a table only because the bartender took the initiative to get us a table being aware of our very uncool situation and the long wait we were being subjected to. The food was a big disappointment to say the least and I asked the waitress to clear my place I was not interested in eating what was presented to me my dinner companion was also very unpleased with the fishy smelling oil soaked salmon that was presented as well and we abandoned our meal and settled up our bill and found some dinner elsewhere at a nearby steakhouse.( 5 stars for the bartender)

The views from this place are amazing. I ve eaten on the restaurant side and had drinks on the bar side. If you can, go there for happy hour and try to sit by the window and just enjoy the view.

Great place to take some out of towners for an impressive view of the city. Food is decent but pricey and happy hr cocktails are just okay. Definitely more about the ambiance than the actual food/drink.

Delicious romantic and excellent service. My only complaint is that they were not able to accommodate our party of 6 + 1 highchair near a window despite having reservations on a weeknight.

Fancy and affluent restaurant located on the 30th floor of the US Bancorp Tower, with views of the Portland city skyline. Always look to make a reservation when you can, you may be fortunate to find a table during happy hour which is the best time to visit for a more affordable experience. Food, drink and service are top notch.

Reserved nearly a month early and it was worth the extra effort. Originally we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. You WANT a window seat here, trust me. The view is absolutely breathtaking. This place is extremely nice; the kind of place you propose to someone. Food is all very good, I had the salmon with asparagus. Drinks are also very strong (Portland Street Car) and colourful. They also vouch parking so you can save a few bucks there. Nice service, view of the city, and food; just prepare to reserve early for a good table.

You have to reserve from before. And it's on the expensive side. But the experience is absolutely worth it.

Really really good food. And overlooks what's just the best view you can get of Portland.

Great lunch experience here in Portland City Grill.
Anthony our waiter was a nice, polite and pro active guy. He gave us great suggestions and recommendations on the Wine and the Food menu.
And the food is fairly delicious and the location is definitely one of the best in the state.

This place like so many others has changed, probably due to Covid.
The happy hour menu is not as good as it used to be and while the service was satisfactory, it was not exemplary as it was in the past.
All this probably explains why we were able to get a window seat late in the afternoon. The place used to be jammed at that time.
However, the view is still fantastic and the prices are still high.

You simply cannot go wrong here. Every bite I've ever had here has been amazing.

Try the Happy hour if you don't want to go totally nuts, but it's a great place to spend a lot of money if you're inclined.

Had a business meeting/dinner here. Views are wonderful. Made reservations Wednesday night at 6:15. We arrived 30 minutes early and were offered a window seat. Awesome views! Our waiter was great! The food was served hot and was good. Mixed drinks were a bit light on alcohol. Charging 9 or 10 for a Bacardi and coke is ok for a place like this but at least give a decent pour. Only reason I am not rating a 5.

The restaurant is on the 30th floor of the Bancorp building. The first time we went there for happy hour at 4. If you go at this time it s full and all the seats by the window will be gone. We went back a second time just after lunchtime and there were lots of places to sit by the window. You can see most of the city and the view is exceptional. We had drinks and dessert. The service the first time was not great, probably because it was jammed, but the second time it was excellent.
