Late review!!

Late review!!

Man...I don't really have the words to describe the experience my wife and I had. It was a wedding gift to us and we were honored to be able to be there and experience not only a wonderful staff lineup...but an amazing display and work of art that was served to us 9 times in different sizes, shapes and tastes with cool details in between...would love to come again if the opportunity to arises.

Bravo Mr. Keller

Currently writing this from the bathroom after eating a HOT Sando!

I tried the medium before and thought the spice was good, which made me curious about HOT. Let's just say thank goodness I had milk in my fridge!! I had to drink milk to get through finishing the sandwich, and now I'm a little delirious!

Order HOT at your own risk!!

Special occasions only. An overwhelming culinary experience at Per Se may ruin the fun of fine dining in New York. This is a real treat, if you can get in. I cannot wait to try The French Laundry next time I'm in California.

It was our second visit to Per Se. We remember a few dishes from last time (pearl oyster and the cappuccino mousse), but other were new. The dinner menu is tasting menu only, but there are a few variations and upgrades for selected dishes (beef steak, caviar, etc.) The food and experience is one in a kind. Knowledgeable and attentive staff presented and explained to us all the dishes and could help if needed with the wine selection (they had an amazing bottle of Barolo!). It is something special and if you need a place to celebrate such a occasion, this is it. Centrally located, right across the Central Park...

I love this place!

Every time I've gone it has been busy and the stuff is gone out of his way to get me in my company a table as soon as possible. Everything that has been recommended to me either has been awesome. They have one of the best meatballs I've eaten in a long time.

I had always loved the ideology of Thomas Keller and its kitchen team. Per se was a bucket lost restaurant for me. And the experience was amazing. We reserved for 1 pm and ended up leaving at 5 pm. We had a 14 course dinner with outstanding quality for all the products. The bathrooms were impeccable. The service was of the highest level and helped my mother understand the menu. She is not into the culinary world and terminology as I am. My only but was one small part of the dessert. The mint and chocolate macaroons where too hard to bite. Maybe it was too cold or something. But is my only complain. We had a kitchen tour and meet the crew that made our food. Amazing experience. Super expensive for normal mortals but if you have the money and time dont miss the experience.

The only problem is that the price is too high.

The only problem is that the price is too high.
Ordered the alare carte with 9pm reservations.
Still cost $150.
The tempura style is very closed to the traditional style.
If you do not want the omakase, you should ordered alare carte by your self.
The mushroom is very good.
Street parking is easy to find after 7pm.

I had dinner at the Salon, which is next to the dining room. The food was incredible. But what truly struck me was the service.... Never seen such better or polished service from any other place, and I been to quite a few places like Bouley, Jean Georges and Le Bernardin. The food is very much comparable to Jean Georges and Le Bernardin, as it is a 3 star Michelin, I had perhaps one of the finest angelotti dishes I have ever had, if not the finest of all. It was quite magnificent. Then I had a veal dish that was beautifuly prepated and made of the finest touches. It was awesome too, but not quite like the angelotti. Like I said, the service is the reason, behind its wonderful food; that it gets its praise by people. It was quite a polished affair.

Thomas Keller has it right when to put service included when you want the finest dining experience that one could have....

Excellent food quality, very nice and attentive staff, and relaxing ambiance. I really appreciated how they made our special occasion feel with the personalized menus and celebratory desserts!

I unfortunately took away one star because I was disappointed in the lack of flavor creativity, was not impressed by certain courses, and certain food textures could have been a bit better. Also, the price that's charged (enough to go on vacation) does not meet the food experience. I was expecting more from this 3-star Michelin restaurant. This was my experience in August 2018.

I had my first dining experience in Per Se on October 2018 with my friend. It was a excellent experience as this is my first time to try Michelin 3 stars restaurant in New York. The restaurant is well located so I am able to see the Central Park clearly from the french window. The service was really great and the atmosphere inside the dining area was elegant and charming. We were warmly welcomed and the restaurant provide us Jacket that fit nicely to our figure. I ordered a 5 course salon tasting menu due to the budget limitation, but I can still feel every courses were well designed both interiorly and exteriorly, Per Se must put in a lot of effort into it. The Caviar and Foie Gras was well blended with the taste from other ingredients, so it won t be too rich and nicely tickle the taste bud. The main dishes lamb and the wagyu beef was perfectly cooked medium rare - to rare, although the portion size is small, but I like it very much. At the end, the assortment of desserts mark a perfect ending for the meal, I love the chocolate which is decorated into the eight planet in out solar system. Overall, although Per Se is expensive to most of the people, the service and food is worth the price. I highly recommended the restaurant and give it high credit.

We have been to the sister restaurant - TFL and we were very excited to try Per Se. The atmosphere is quiet, yet elegant and the service is impeccable. We were not as impressed with the tasting menu as we thought, but as always we stay open minded. TFL was better in terms of food and pairings, but Per Se service was friendlier and more social, which we enjoyed. Although we didn t love the food options to the fullest capacity, we enjoyed the experience and would return in the future. Hopefully by then the menu will have some new tasting items. Also, important to note the price is high (as with any Michelin starred restaurant) but we have had better food in other spots. As I mentioned, we will return in the future but this is not our top choice.

I can easily say this is the best restaurant I've ever visited. The food and the service is spectacular, and you leave feeling so happy despite the huge bill. You can select from one of two tasting menus; one with meat, the other vegetarian, but they are always accommodating at changing dishes for your dietary requirements (or desires). This trip included ossetra caviar, fois gras, fluke with a citrus foam, quail, steak with an amazing reduction and duck with perfect crispy skin. Then they bring a 7-8 different desserts and cookies on the way out. It's not something you can do all the time, but I can't think of anywhere I'd rather go got a special treat every few years.

Salted cod fries. Who even knew that was a thing? Everything we ordered here was delicious. I especially liked the salmon entree I ordered. It was pretty windy the day we came so sitting on the patio meant that a lot of leaves was blowing into our food, but that didn't ruin the experience.

We went to Per Se for our 25th anniversary and they really made it special. The food was outstanding- 9 courses of amazing food. We are foodies and our travel always includes amazing meals (Paris, London, NY, Milan, Barcelona, Oahu) - Per Se stacks up with the best of the best. Plus they added all the little touches like "happy 25th anniversary" printed on the menu's and giving us a tour of the kitchen. Thank you Per Se for an amazing evening!

Per Se lives in a world of its own. I find it quite unique. Restaurant nicely situated, great views of Columbus. Food amazing, wine list scary, all the usual adjectives apply. What's different is the atmosphere, its actually a fun place to be. Staff likeable and interested. Here's a pasta dish. You can't see pasta 'cos it's hidden behind the biggest mound of truffle I've ever seen. Then they came back and added more! A nice touch. Loved the place, it is serious food, top class dining but also a great place to party. Thanks

I love this place! They prepare superb food, their menu is varied, The chef in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The food is always good, the attitude towards the clients is agreeable. I often go to this place and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Is it great? Yes. Should you go if you can afford it? Yes. Should you ever go back once you've been there? Probably not, it is that insanely expensive. But do you go here for value for money? No. You go for the experience, which is world class.

You probably know pretty much everything about this place. It is an iconic restaurant considered one of the best in New York with Bernardin (ranked several times in the World's Best 50 Restaurants). But what you may not know know is you do not necessarely have to pay the $325 of the tasting menu to enjoy dining there.

There is a salon offering the same dishes a la carte for usually $40. Do not expect to be completely satiated with one order (it is a gastronomic restaurant after all), but it turned out to be enough with the complimentary appetizers and the amazing artisan bread and butter offered.

Amazing service, very good food, great view. It is definitely an experience, but am not sure it is worth the price tag. Have had better food for cheaper, but per se seems more about the atmosphere, service and frills which is unparalleled. The wine is surprisingly reasonably priced. The meal is also the perfect amount of food. Took a bit longer than expected, about 2 and a half hours.

Food is disgusting, tiny tiny portions and price is incredibly high $1600 for 4 people (fixed $340 per person plus one bottle of $96 wine). Ate 6 pieces of bread in order to not leave restaurant hungry. This restaurant is a fraud and ripoff. Believe me , don t waste your money and don t believe fraudulent five star reviews made by owners of this restaurant .

I completely didn't mind this diner, the food is amazing, plus the bathrooms were ok. It was a little fridgity indoors, really was not totally cool. The wait is great. I will certainly think about returning once more if I have the possibility. Me as well as my pal bought the salad as well as we were not disappointed. My one tip is to keep the chilly outside. Thanks!

It's very good, but even the salon menu came out to be over 500 for 2 for lunch. Didn't care too much for the cheese course and the cheese and crackers portion of the amuse bouche. The rest of the courses were done very well, my favorite one was the scallop course.

Expectations fully met and exceeded. Dishes were very innovative, artfully plated and of course delicious. Dessert was also wonderful with the only downside being the variety and quantity (which did not detract from quality) - i.e. Ensuring you don't leave without being stuffed!
