A small restaurant. The food was excellent. The best prosciutto I have ever had. It melted in my mouth, none of that stringy chewy stuff. Waitstaff was efficient and professional. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Went here tonight for our 6 year anniversary. What a disaster. The large table next to us showed up wasted and ruined the meal for everyone around. Several tables complained, but nothing was done to stop it. They yelled, fought, cried, stormed away, came back and fought some more. We could not even have a conversation. The restaurant should have stepped in. Total waste of our money, anniversary night, and babysitter. They compt my coffee and salad...what a joke.

Edit: emailed weeks ago like asked, still waiting to hear back....

2017: Friendly staff, live piano music in the bar, and best views of Portland. That's about it though sadly. 5+ years ago PCG was pretty decent, easy 4/5 -- now I can't even justify a 3/5. Quality is way down and prices are way up. Entrees average $50, curiously small portions, and look/taste like chain-restaurant fare. At least the bread is good? Happy hour used to be awesome, now it's always super packed and the food selection is generic. Dinner menu is priced beyond reason for the generic quality food: 4 drinks, 2 apps, small salad and 2 entrees: $200! With so many amazing food places in Portland, check out the view at PCG and then go somewhere else to eat

I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are appetizing and the team is generous and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we pass a lovely evening. warmly recommended.

Phenomenal menu! I've been to PCG for drinks and dinner, both for special occasions. As a vegetarian, I was pleased with their dinner selections (which are accompanied by warm bread). I recommend making reservations, and planning to pay for nearby parking.

I've been here for lunch and dinner on multiple occasions. Service and food was always great. Lunch prices are very affordable. Reservations are recommended during dinner, but it's usual easy to find a table for lunch.

Fantastic spot for dates - especially during happy hour when the prices are incredibly reasonable. The interior is dark and cozy with plenty of nooks and crannies to have a secluded cocktail with your date or a seat near the window where you can get one of the best views of Portland's skyline available. Dinner is definitely upscale and has never disappointed.

If you are in Portland and looking for a place with great food and exceedingly excellent views of this beautiful city, this is the place for you. They specialize in meat and seafood, doing both with great skill and aplomb. Located on the entire top floor of the tallest building downtown, this comfortable space can accommodate a party of any size. If you are planning to dine here in the evening, reservations are highly recommended and will net you 100 points on Open Table. Have a cocktail and take in the beautiful city lights, you will not be disappointed.

It's great if your an Applebees customer and want to feel fancy for a night. But this is nothing more than a chain restaurant dressed up as fine dining. I've been there. I was not impressed.

It was just a wonderful experience, food and drinks were both amazing. The service was lacking but I honestly believe it was just our server, he wasnt very personable. But the atmosphere and dining more than compensated! We were able to sit privately and conversate without interruption of other patrons.

Best view in Portland. It gives you a sense of fanciness, the decor is tasteful and there's a pianist who dares to play Nirvana! Amazing. Food is good, not overpriced. I wish we had a place like this in Seattle! Please

Good for a date or night out with friends. Pretty casual vibe.

The dinner and atmosphere were great as was the service. The bad was the drunk loud foul mouthed group sitting behind us. It was like a loud tailgate with colorful languged mixed in. At least there weren't any children there.

New to Portland Oregon and had to find a quick spot to take the wife for her birthday dinner. Asking around, was Recommended PCG. Building was under construction so finding the front door was interesting. Navigating all the homeless, panhandlers, crazies, and boarded up stores. We found the front lobby, took the elevator to the top. Doors open to a dimly lit corridor where we we're greeted by a very nice individual who found our resorvations immediately. Led to our table, a nice window table overlooking the elusive city of Portland.
We choose an earlier time to have dinner so we could watch the sun set. It was a very beautiful view. Inside the restaurant itself very low key and elegant. Our waiter Izzy was extremely professional. Very knowledgeable about all products being served and within 20 minutes our drinks and apptizer were on the table. 25 minutes after that our main courses. I went with the Wagyu Ribeye. Which was amazing, a bit costly but big enough to bring some left overs home haha.
Our experience in total was amazing, we will definitely be recommending and returning for future occasions. Thank you PCG for keeping it 100% professional.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. The walk in bar felt more comfortable than in the dining room and the view of downtown Portland outstanding. The service at the bar and dining room gave this a 5th star.

Great views, great service and reasonable prices for a fine dining experience. If the venison is in season, I would highly suggest it. Wonderful wine list and expertly crafted cocktails top off a truly stunning evening. If you are looking for a place to bring customers or to take your partner out for a night on the town, look no further.

Overpriced. Food is mediocre at even half the price. Used to be good, but slowly became inconsistent... then just bad most of the time... then they raised their prices. The only reason to go here is the view. But don't expect a window seat if you're coming up past 4pm. Come for lunch in the middle of the week for best views and $5 wine glass pours. They have a long happy hour (4-7pm and then 9pm-close), but there's only a few things that are worthwhile - come early cause the quality of the happy hour food decreases exponentially as it progresses. Happy hour bites you should order: Steelhead is by far best bite and value... Jambalaya, Chicken Noodle Bowl can be decent. The staff is pretty phenomenal though - that would be the biggest reason I return. 5 star staff, but prices and food quality deserve zero stars.

Outstanding place, classy, friendly helpful staff and excellent views! The food is amazing melt in your mouth, definitely worth it. The only down side is it was difficult to read the menus but the ambience was perfect.

Fine dining at its best. Had a petit filet mignon that was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes were superb. Service was beyond excellent. I highly recommend this place, and the view is to die for!

My wife and I went for the first time for our 30th anniversary. Everything was absolutely perfect! They put little happy anniversary decorations on the table and even had a card for us signed by some of the staff. We got there early for our reservation and waited a little bit for a window table...totally worth the wait. Our server, Ray, was top notch and full of perfect recommendations for wine and dessert...very attentive. The food was excellent. We just moved here from Chicago and are happy to have found our new "go to" place for a fantastic meal. Will definitely be return customers.

A must see when your in Portland Oregon, how fun to ride the elevator to the 30th floor and have dinner or sit in the bar for happy hour and drinks... one of the best happy hour menus around with an amazing view of the city just really helps cap the night, for a night cap! Dinner is fancy so you may wanna wear a nice shirt and surprise the lady with a pretty dress to wear amd surprise her by taking her here, for an anniversary or special occassion hint hint...

First, the view can't be beat. The food was also very good. The sourdough bread soft and warm with great flavor. The crab cakes were also amazing, not dense and cakey more mounds of delish crab loosely held together with some bread crumbs. We had the sirloin and salmon. They split it for me and my date and the portion size was perfect. The lobster Mac and cheese was ok but not great. The cheese sauce was sups thin and the dish overall was a bit salty. The Bread pudding was very good. The cherries were tart and added great balance to the rest of the dish, didn't taste any of the pear which was kind of disappointing the cinnamon ice cream was a good texture and temperature balance but I didn't really care for the flavor overall. I'd still get the bread pudding anytime.

I wish I could have stayed at 4 stars and debating in my mind between 3 and 4. The thing that brought them down for me was the overall atmosphere. The party right behind us was large (around 10 people) out celebrating someone's birthday. Happy Birthday Stranger! I'm all for having a good time but I still think you should be respectful of those around you. They were very loud (felt like they were yelling in my ear) lots of NSFW language, and at one point one was like bouncing up and down in his seat which shook our seats and table.

Nice restaurant with great views. I ordered the filet mignon and to me it was a little under seasoned. I don't normally order steak but the waitress sold me on the filet. My husband got the wagyu with salmon and Dungeness crab and he enjoyed that very much. We also ordered a sushi roll with tempura shrimp and eel, which was very delicious. We got a side of white cheddar mac and cheese with our steaks and that was tasty. To end the night I received a complimentary sorbet since it was my birthday and we ordered their vanilla bean creme brulee, both of which were very delicious. Oh and there was a pianist playing on their grand piano near the bar which I hoped we would be seated near him but sadly we weren't. Overall, our night was very enjoyable and would recommend this place. It is pricey and would make for a very nice date night.

Great food and atmosphere, have come for happy hour and dinner. Defiantly not my every day go-to eating out location but well worth it. Friendly staff as well. Celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary and had a great time.

A romantic, fine-dining restaurant with exquisite views! I've eaten in and thoroughly enjoyed the main restaurant, but I really love their Happy Hour. Reasonable prices (e.g. huge kale salad for $5.95), great selection, and delicious food, and you still get the unbeatable, city views! A must for locals and visitors alike!

Staff was wonderful and the drink festive, however the food was lacking for the price. Chicken Noodle bowl was very salty and the Asian Rolls lacked sauce. Also skip the happy hour cake as it was dry and the frosting crusty.

Yes, prices are higher than a typical night out. That s why we went to happy hour for cocktails, beer, and tasty dinner by piecing together a couple small plates per person. Hard to beat this view of the city, and the piano lounge vibe with live music.
