We always have the BEST experience here. Our server Brandon was amazing and provided great customer service. The food is always prepared perfectly and the view of the city and the mountain is to die for. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

Went here for my anniversary, reserved a table, and when we arrived we were seated window side overlooking the city. Our server was tentive and personable. He even showed me how to crack open a lobster tail. Hands off, of course. Our food was fresh and of course delicious, the servings were big enough that we didn't need to order desert even though we were tempted. Portland City Grill is following safety guidelines in regards the pandemic. All servers and staff are wearing masks, as well as their customers, of course up until we are seated or we are ready to eat. I would recommend PCG to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, or simply wants to have a night out with their partner.

Fantastic. The cask strength old fashioned is phenomenal if you're into Scotch (maybe not if you're too into it though). The bread is vegan and delicious. The Caesar salad was saucy, but not fishy at all, with plenty of Parmesan, just the way I like it. The filet mignon (7.5oz) was cooked just to my taste, and was beautifully seared. The mashed potatoes were creamy and scrumptious.

I ve lived here since 2000.. it was cool, then trendy, then cool, then trendy. I struggled with being a local and going here until I discovered their tofu vegetable dinner. (No, I m not vegan, nor do I usually (ever) order tofu). Go there, get a booth, enjoy the view, and get the tofu. Always a tourist pleaser, I always sit in the bar. Cool live piano though it can be a bit loud. Worth it!

To say that this is a good restaurant is a joke. It is dirty, has bad service, and has gross food. I got the lobster mac and cheese and roasted asparagus. The asparagus was limp and tasteless. The mac and cheese tasted like salted noodles with mushy lobster. I have no idea why anyone would eat it. The servers kept trying to fill my cup with water, but just ended up splashing me as they filled it with ice. The ceiling had tons of dust on it, the floor was sticky, and confetti from previous table celebrations was all over the floor. The restaurant was also very cold. I was thoroughly disappointed with this place and would not recommend it to anyone. The only reason it is not a one-star is because the view is nice and I have only been here once. If I have the displeasure of going again and trying something else on the menu, I will adjust my review accordingly.

Love it

Highly recommended to us by two woman working the food truck where we bought lunch. They truly gave us a great recommendation. We arrived about 4:15 and had a seat at the piano bar which provided a beautiful view of Mt. Hood. The views were beautiful in all directions. If you want a window seat I would suggest you arrive early. Our service was attentive and unrushed. We enjoyed our beverages and all the sights that could be seen. Very enjoyable...Enjoy!

Come here for the view, not so much the food. I did not try any of their steaks, and was not overly impressed. The focus seemed to be on quantity and sugar, less so on outright quality. The food is good, but I would not call it fine dining.

A Portland classic. It is a great location with a view of Downtown. The food is delicious. Make sure to get here early (for happy hour, or make reservations for regular menu) or you'll have trouble getting a table.

I came here with my significant other to have an anniversary dinner, and it was a spectacular experience! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and overall the view was beautiful. Because it was me and my husband's anniversary, they set out a card and little confetti congratulating us. They even brought a little complimentary pastry/cake with a candle. It was spectacular. Would highly highly recommend.

It was raining when we got here, and have been waiting for an hour (window seat), but if you have reservations you can get in right away. Love city view, good food and AWSOME SERVICE really enjoy it.

We had our wedding reception in the private dining area at Portland City Grill Leap Day, 2020.

We were SO IMPRESSED with the quality and value that we found in hosting at this fine dining establishment. The service that Kelly provided us during our over a year-long planning crusade was beyond amazing and helpful and stress-free.

The food was THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD AT A WEDDING. The selection was AMAZING. The bartender FABULOUS. And OMG, the ambiance! The whole night could not have been more perfect.

Thank you so much Kelly and PCG, for making our wedding so memorable and so exquisite.

Breathtaking view of Portland, so be sure to sit near a window. The food is excellent, and the portions are great. It is more expensive, but the tastes, views, and experience make it worth while. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, we will definitely return when we can.

I never knew why people would pay so much to eat out, until I had the brunch buffet at the Portland City Grill. I am a picky eater, and this is by far the best food I had ever enjoyed outside of my own home!

Restaurant is iconic & views are spectacular! The wait staff were excellent & attentive. The food was lacking. I had the short ribs & it & everything on my plate was so salty it was inedible. My friend had scallops that were gritty & full of sand. Not a place I would recommend for dinner. Go for a cocktail & an unforgettable view of Portland.

Super amazing view. I went for happy hour and had 3 "courses" and 2 drinks for about $30. Wait staff are all really professional and nice. We moved from an inner stool to a window booth with our food when it opened up and our waitress was very accommodating letting us cash out with her and open a new tab under the new waitresses area. Had some self important a-hole invite himself and his friend to sit at our booth after we told them not to sit there, but it's not the restaurants fault this guy felt himself so important. They seemed just as confused by his sitting there as we were. All in all a great experience. Maybe if you go to happy hour invite a 3rd friend so you don't have strangers butt in on your space, if you are lucky enough to get a window seat.

We had an excellent experience with a fantastic waiter. The view was beautiful, especially watching the sun set. The food was also excellent. A perfect place for an anniversary or extra special date

In my personal opinion this place is over rated. It did not meet my expectations. The quality of the food is good but it wasn't amazing. The area is very dark as well which I dislike but that is just personal preference. The view is gorgeous.

The views where spectacular. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was ok but you can tell you are paying for the view. I was really hoping to be surprised but in the end it was what I was expecting.

I love Portland City Grill. For a nice occasion, their dinner is great. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. My personal favorite, however, is their happy hour. It's first come first serve, but I always take my out-of-towners here for delicious plates at a good price and some great cocktails. Oh, and of course you can't beat the view - large windows on three sides with a great view of the city.

Eat the seared steelhead and snow crab during happy hour or you will regret it the rest of your life. We ordered one and then awkwardly proceeded to order another one.... and really wanted a third. Amazing!!!
