My friends and I had a fantastic trip! It was downpouring and the rapids were hard, but it was fun. Kelly was a fantastic guide. We never got stuck or fell off the raft. And Sky was a great storyteller.

Great experience.. Enjoyed the day out in the waters of Pocono.. Great Staff..a Summer experience that you cannot miss out. It was for a duration of 4 hours while we rafted down the river for about 20 miles. I left the place happy and tired. bang for the buck.

Wonderful experience! The guides were well informed, supportive and fun. My two little girls even received special kayak rides from two of the guides! We will definitely go on more adventures with this company! Thank you Adam and Alex you two rock!

I participated in a dam release on 6/26 with my siblings and in Laws . We are a group of 16. We were all very excited to be rafting though we had no prior experience . The first 2.5 hours prior to the lunch break was awesome . We were navigating the river and feeling very confident . After lunch we decided to switch sides . Those on the left side switched to the right and vice versa . After switching it took us a while to get into the new groove of directionality . The kayaker behind us who was also the lead of the 9:15 group was extremely disrespectful, arrogant and down right rude . He actually even said,"ugh, this is the worst part of my day," to my group when we got stuck on a rock (which come on , everyone gets stuck !) he consistently referred to my siblings and I as kids even though we are all 0ver the age of 25 . At one point he even made a joke about my brother in law strength , which I found to be completely uncalled for especially considering my BIL is a Veteran Marine . In addition , I also found Key, another staff member to be rude , as well as , in audible , ineffective , and simply UNBEARABLE ! This company may need to provide some leadership and and effective communication skills trainings for their staff . Almost everyone on my bus agreed that aside from the staff , they had a great time . However they do not think they would return because they felt disrespected and belittled. The website reads," No experience necessary" however the staff acted irritable and offended when you would ask for help or when they needed to help retrieve you . Rafting is not a cheap day out . At $71 a person and 16 people being in our group , our family spent over $1,000 to enjoy a beautiful Sunday together . I have to say that we will be spending that money with one of the other companies because the staff made it totally unenjoyable . I will say however that the one guide , who is also a dentist,(his name escapes me ) he is your saving grace . Promote him .

My family and I had a great time! We were struggling in the beginning then Kayla(a guide) came into our raft and gave all of us some great pointers. After that we did awesome. Logan and the other guide were also asking us if we were ok throughout the tour. We thought they were all very nice and the river was beautiful. We will definitely be going back when we can all the way from Florida.

The only reason why this gets one star is because 0 Stars was not an option. We came from out-of-state to do a dam release whitewater rafting day outing, only to find that once we got here our trip had been cancelled. We understand the circumstances that led to the cancellation, as the river was higher than usual, and that wasn't the issue. The issue lied in the lack of communication from the staff to all of the people who were booked for the late morning/afternoon outings. Because the river was higher, the guides had to be present on each and every raft. This company did not accommodate for all of the outings because they ran out of guides, and thus our late morning trip was cancelled. If that is how they handle these types of situations, I wouldn't recommend this place. Dealing with the weather/river is understandable. But they should've called us first thing this morning to let us know they couldn't accommodate our trip and offered the refund or rescheduling over the phone, so we didn't have to waste time driving all the way there for no reason. So many people like us were disappointed. Don't take a chance with this company, atrocious service and communication!

Aside from the river having only 2 and 3 currents it was a nice and relaxing trip. Halfway down the river you stop for lunch that is provided by the staff. All you can eat. The whole trip took about 4-5 hours. Great staff.

Pleasant family rafting on class I and II rapids.

Pleasant family rafting on class I and II rapids.
Guides knew what to do and are pretty hands off.
They had a picnic lunch ready, and took care of the set up, clean up, all transportation & gear.
Only point off for not teaching paddle techniques before just letting everyone loose on the river.

Went 2 years ago and paid $59 per person to do the family trip. Came back today and paid $69 per person to do the "dam release" trip and it was the EXACT SAME THING!!! What did I pay the extra $$$ for?!? Also, the parking situation is terrible. People were blocked in by my vehicle and were waiting on is to get back for over an hour. If it would have been me blocked in I would have been furious. It isnt a very comfortable situation to park and be left to wonder how the heck you are getting out when you get back from a long day. Also, not this places fault, but beware GPS directions as this place is right off an EZ PASS ONLY exit and we were unaware of this until it was too late. Now a $65 fine will be coming in the mail, so thats great. Plan on spending a LOT MORE than the ticket price.

Horrible experience lunch spot was a sharp right turn with strong currents. Instead of helping us they were yelling paddle to shore. We were trying to but the current pulled us down the river. It took a very long time before someone came to assist us. We then had to walk in the water on the rocks dragging our boat for 30 minutes walking against the current. We finally make it back to the lunch area and everyone was getting back in their boats. We missed lunch and a chance to get a drink and rest. Another hour and a half to go. Never again

Tragic. If anybody was in the same group with my brother who drowned on 9/1/2018 please leave contact information. My brother drowned and this company had no safety procedure to help rescue him. There staff was not trained for an emergency like this.

Great day on the river, and being able to jump in and swim, was much needed in the heat! I wish the same was open so we could have some rapids, but all in all, was very relaxing. Adam, Margot, and Joe were great as our guides!

Dam release rafting is fun, but go with a different company. We have been on 5 other rafting trips in other parts of PA and WV, and this is by far the worst. I called to make a reservation, the woman on the phone said no need for reservations, but to bring cash. So, we did, only to find out that they take credit cards. To get to the river you have to walk about a mile and a half, then you have to carry your raft through the very cold waters of a stream into the Lehigh river. This is not mentioned anywhere. They do not provide lunch unlike all other raft companies. Instead, they give you a large bucket in which you can store your lunch. This large plastic bag is not attached in any way to the raft, so first it gave me serious bruises on my shins, and second - we lost ours on one of the rapids. We were in a group of at least 25 rafts if not more. We constantly had to stop and wait even at places where the water was too strong to stop. The guides are not guides at all - do no give loud clear directions. All they do is stop you, so you wait for all other rafts to catch up. There were only 4 guides in kayaks. During our trip, a thunderstorm came and it became very cold, and there was pouring rain. Despite that, they insisted on stopping in the middle of the river under the rain to have lunch! The dam release made the Lehigh pretty fun for a family, but not with Pocono Whitewater.

We had an absolute blast!! We did the dam release and c ouldnt have asked for a better time!! The staff was amazing and if you have the pleasure of meeting Eli you are in for a good time!! He was our "sweeper" and actually rode in our raft for a while. It was an amazing experience and highly recommend it!!!

Loved the trip!! Our tour guides were fantastic (Cory, Ace..another whose name I forget!). The only downfall was a raft popped so the rest of us had to wait around for a bit for them to catch up. There were a ton of people on our tour but to be expected for a big business. Definitely go on a dam release. Despite other opinions, we thought it was very organized and we had a blast. Make sure to go on an early morning session. Would definitely go back.

Excellent trip, everyone had lots of fun. Rapids here are way more fun than those on Delaware river or CT. If you want more extreme go to the Gorge in WV. This place is in close proximity to major metro areas, gets busy on weekends. Plan ahead, sign up for a group deals to get discount. Bring your vest as some of the vests they give you at this facility are old, stinky and moldy. Once you get in the water, it won't matter but would be a nice touch...

MUST READ!!!!! My two friends, their dad, and me went white water rafting at this place on Saturday. Two things to describe Pocono Whitewater are extremely fun, and it's easy to do. The guides are funny and are really helpful if you have any questions. The guides would also show you historic places in the town of Jim Thorpe. They would also pop a few questions on the bus ride. The water was pretty easy to maneuver the raft in and the rapids were the best part. The wetsuits were easy to get into and they sure did keep me warm during the rafting. I wanted to see if they would keep me warm if I jumped in the river and it sure did. When I got out I didn't want to get back in the raft. If I were to rate this whole trip out of 10 it would easily be an 11 without a doubt. I'm really glad I went on this trip.

While most of the guides were nice and helpful a few were very rude. This was made worse by the fact that they have way more people in each group of rafts than they should, pileups were common and often made the main parts of rapids impassible. Likely much better off using another service that doesn t cram as many people down the river at once.

We went for a family style rafting experience as my son is 5 year old. It was lots of fun and totally safe.

We had three amazing guides who were escorting us in their canoes. Very different from what I had done back in India - as we were controlling the rafts on our own. In India, the guides sit in your boat and basically manage the entire show.

Here, the sense of achievement was much greater as we were the ones controlling the boat all the time. We did get stuck once, but the guides helped us to get moving again.

Really great experience.

Not far from NYC for a day trip. The water level varies according to time of the year. Summer months are good if have young kids and just want to spend some time on the river. The weather and water is warm in summer, so you can swim in the river alongside the boat. Spring might be better if you're crazy about whitewater rafting. Weekends and holidays are crowded. Bring your own food and check the requirements before you come.

Britney Marzon is the best guide. Best in the game. Straight stud. She was chill but dope and well focused. I mean she the type of person I wanna sit down and have a few cold ones with. Employee of the month. She knew we were studs, so we want u to tell her we know she was one.

We had a kick ass day at Pocono Whitewater! Our group had such a great time biking, hiking, and rafting all day on our Big Day Out. Our guides Kayla and Sofie did a fantastic job, and really did everything they could to make our staff appreciation day awesome. Looking forward to doing more in the future. What an all around great group of people.

I went with a group of 6 friends and overall had a great time white water rafting BUT we did run into a major issue! Obtaining tickets over the phone was easy and the person was fantastic with info. since it was our first time. They provided you with everything you need, which is perfect. The only thing I would change about my experience, with all of my friends in agreeance, is the CONSTANT hold up during our time in the river. We felt like we spent more time waiting then actually enjoying the white water rafting. Let me further explain, EVERYTIME we approached the next set of difficult rapids we had to stop and wait for every other raft to catch up. Sometimes we would be waiting up to 15-20 minutes. I understand that it s more difficult for others but the company should be prepared to handle that instead of holding up everyone else. For people that are a bit more up to speed with what to do, they should have one person watching them. And for people that are farther behind, there should be another worker watching them. A 4-5 hour river time would have only taken 3 hours MAX without all the waiting. My whole raft was pretty disappointed with that honestly. Do not think it was worth the 70 bucks per person and would not return.

It was the first time that I went to rafting, friends invited me, so I decided to try it, and turned out to be the best experience I've had in years, guides were pretty nice, especially Tom, but Annie wasnt really that nice to us, I know she is concerned but she shouldn't be yelling at us. The trip was pretty fun, we had a group of 6, the water were really fast, sometimes we will hit some big rocks and I fell into the water then my legs will hit some rocks before I can climb back on the kayak, and actually there were too much people, I can say like 80+ people, some kayak will bump into our and they will bump into us, sometimes that wasn't really safe, but overall it was a pretty experience, I will visit again!
