I know climbing can make you hungry but none can an omelette that big!
Awesome cafe, and great way to pass the time, whether it be for breakfast, a rainy day, or after a big day out on the hills
Says it's dog friendly on the website when it clearly isn't. Dogs have to stay outside so if it's raining you will have to eat in the rain with your dog at the few small dirty tables, no shelter is available, very poor. Why not have a dog section inside?
All day breakfast was good price but not great. Why put toast under the egg??
What bothered me was the staff - having noisy conversations, swearing and complaining about the management. Also is it legal to prepare and serve food wearing a vest? Even if it is it is not good. It's the third time I have been and I won't be back.
We went here for dinner one night - the menu selection is HUGE, which was a little overwhelming - make sure you leave time to read it before you go up to order. We ordered something only to hear that they turned off the machines to make it a full two hours before the restaurant closed, which seemed early. The specials board was a little confusing, so somehow we ended up with just a bowl of Bolognese rather than Spaghetti Bolognese and my Ham and Cheese Sandwich was ham with no mayo or anything and shredded parmesan cheese, which fell out of the sandwich (though I saw this in other places so I think it's an English thing).
Having said that, I have to say we sat outside and the location is nice, close to the park, and it seems to be very popular with the locals. Good for a quick bite or lunch and it looks great for breakfast. The homemade chips were FANTASTIC.
The wait for food took a while and they forgot our sausages at first but the portions are really generous and they gave us an extra sausage and toast on top. They're real bros.
A full english and a large cup of tea are exactly what you need before exploring the local area. I make sure I have at least one meal here every time I come up. The food is good, the portions are generous and the price is reasonable. The bunkhouse is clean and there is a kitchen that can be used (no oven) and showers.
Great food. Great prices. Showers. Map room. Internet. Music.
Came to Llanberis to climb Mount Snowdon and i found this little gem. It is in my opinion the best cafe i have ever eaten from. Although the que's are out of the door the service is still snappy and food top notch. If this place isn't already award winning then it should be. Tucking into their breakfast as i write this and looking out at the hill views. Fab place and if i ever come back this way i will be sure to pop in...thanks guys you give a sterling service!
Great food, fantastic bright decor with plenty of pictures of Snowdonia at its finest gracing the walls. Well organised during these Covid-19 restrictions and, best of all, lovely huge mugs of hot steaming tea. Cracking place!
Amazing place for brecfast/lunch! Very fast service and the portions are an amazing size! (I reccomend the chips!)
The best place to eat in Wales! Bold statement but accurate. Food is expertly cooked and portion sizes will make any hungry hiker or climber happy. A must try place that will have you coming back for more.
Pete's Eats contributes hugely to Llanberis bring an excellent base for a hiking trip. Generous portions and good value in a comfortable setting. Highly reccomend a trip here!
Fantastic place with tasty and simple food. Easy to find, colourful with friendly staff and uncomplicated atmosphere!
Original place with committed staff members. Much love and passion put into design.
Lovely place to go for a quick stop if walking in Snowdonia.
Their chocolate cake is to die for
Brilliant food for a good price! We will be back again
Not bad
Cheap and somewhat cheerful
Delicious and cheap. The breakfasts are v big. Service is a little slow but friendly.
Well it's cafe food and not good quality twelve of us had food and was not worth it
Pete's Eat's in the heart of Snowdonia is the perfect to relax after a walk up Snowdon or visiting all the amenities that Llanberis has to offer....with a fantastic choice of food and drink and a very friendly atmosphere with free WiFi and very friendly staff you will be assured of a most welcomed experience....It's an experience you will always remember.
Good price great place for groups lots of space and very popular. Basic but perfect if you are on a budget. Raffle ticket queuing system is pretty effective at keeping service quick even when it's full.
Great food. Friendly staff. Can't wait to go back and have the hot chocolate with a stack of marshmallows.
Water in tea taste perculier, not my best fried breakfast I've had, not likely to return.
decent standard breakfast. would have liked more variety
Great food, good atmosphere everything you need ready for a trip into the mountains
Great place to eat.
A place of history in North Wales adventure.
Great value and quality. You won't leave hungry.
One of several cafes in Llanberris. Cosy for brekkie, coffee or lunch. On the day we were there it was busy but staff coped well. Portions are big and priced reasonably. Try the builders mug of tea-huge!
Love the pints of tea, food, board games and atmosphere. Always a great stop after a long day on the hills or if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Nice and warming place perfect after a walk definetly lives to reputation can't wait to be back tomorrow! I recommend the hot chocolate!
Very disappointed, part of an egg and cold food after waiting nearly 40 minutes. Table service was good but the guy the dealt with my issue needs to learn how to converse with people in the correct way. We weren't the only ones to have issues today.
We had to wait half an hour for our drinks and another half an hour for our food order and they got it wrong twice! Then they were rushing us to leave so they could have the table for other customers. The food wasn't that good either. Over priced and terrible service. There is a subway up the road, wish we had gone there instead.
Definitely gone downhill, wrong order and poor service, don't be surprised to wait an additional 30 mins if you want a top up on drinks, even when quiet
Food very average lots of it staff know every excuse in the world why the order is incomplete till operator said reason for being charged more than the menu stated was she was tired won't be eating here again
If you've been up Snowdon and need to restore your energy, this is the place to go to! Large portions and good too!
Always well feed and good place from coming off the hills and climbing too
No mayo on the tables . Plastered chips in salad cteam in error
Cracking caf. Doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, just good Scran at good prices served by nice people.
Get a simple fry up here. Very extensive choice of food. Good coffee and a great selection of wall mounted photos of the local area and climbers. Free wifi is a real bonus.
Excellent value breakfasts. Good portions. Friendly staff. Nice venue.
Relaxed authentic place to get a fried breakfast and a coffee
Good hearty food before, during or after after your outdoor adventure. Iconic colourful cafe with tea in pint mugs. Well organised and clean
Fantastic place. Good options for vegans. Serves the food you need to get you up the mountain. Relaxed and casual atmosphere.
Pet is grate bloke food is amazing good value for money
Always good, been visiting Pete's Eats for 35 years, that type of loyalty happens for a reason. Although, I still think the even larger breakfast should have retained the "Big Jim's" breakfast after Big Jimmy Jewel sell the story...
Just what you need after a hike! Excellent food at a reasonable price. Nice lovely atmosphere
Steak night the best steak I have had in a long time, staff great and helpful compliments to you all xxoo hope to back soon....noel
You've got to try the chip bap, and have a giant mug of tea. Great value.
Great place. Good food for a good price, there's also a shower for travellers and they have a map library. How cool is that.
Maintaining its unique atmosphere with good value and friendly feeling.
Good all round breakfast better than the Royal Victoria hotel. Served all day aswell.
Great fry up just what's needed when in North Wales
