Large meals at good prices. Unfortunately only guide dog allowed inside, but they did bring water out for the dog when we sat outside. And they where very friendly.
Been going here for 29 years! It has evolved, but still friendly and comforting.
Been going here for years when we walk up Snowdon. Great big proper cups of tea and wonderful full English breakfasts. But evening meals have been a bit hit and miss and the kitchen haven t always been willing to do something about it. Whilst it s a local icon some competition is needed to help Petes up their game.
4 of us ordered.
1 was charged twice
1 had the wrong order
1 also had the wrong order twice and when asked for it to be corrected was left with rude retorts.
Super slow service. 25 minute wait for egg on toast when the cafe was about 50% capacity.
What on earth has happened to the legendary Pete's Eats?????
Go elsewhere
A long established classic cafe. A trip to Llanberis without popping into Pete's would be a wasted journey. Mine's a Big Jim and a pint of tea thanks!
Used to be awesome in the 80's and 90's. Food and service lacking the last few visits... shame
It's alright if you find yourself hungry.
Service can be quite slow but we understand this is a small family run place.
I would like to say this place is a life saver! The food was freshly cooked and they don't hold back on the portion sizes. After deciding I was going to drag my son up the mountain, we booked camping for two on a nearby site, the wind and rain put a stop to campsite cooking and our weekend ended up being fueled by Petes Eats
Great easy going, all welcome from muddy walkers, climbers and familys, great plates of food at good prices. Pints of tea hot chocolate.
We were told there was twenty minutes wait for food but after 1 hour and twenty minutes of waiting the last of our orders arrived. My order was average at best but the rest of our party had many issues including food not arriving at all. Avoid this place if you have plans later that day.
Cheep and cheerful, good hearty food when you need it.
Brilliant staff, very patient and polite. Good food for a good price. Would come back again!
Always have breakfast here before a day in the mountains! Great fuel!
If you like decent food, don't eat here.
I had a breakfast it was terrible my partner had porridge (cold) also large black hair in my beans
Awesome food and a pint of tea! Just what I needed after 3 days in the hills.
big cheap meals and hostel above self catering cheap all the way
Brilliant place, great prices and service. A huge mug of tea is a must after climbing Snowdon.
I've been hearing about Petes' Eats so thought I'd try it. Outside looks newly painted and nice. Service took ages, had to clear away the table ourselves before we ate, I had the large breakfast and my kids had chicken nuggets. I wouldn't have considered the large breakfast as being large, the egg and bacon had been was significantly overcooked, and the kids meal particularly uninspiring. Thought I'd try some ketchup to 'cheer it up' . oh no, not even Heinz . the cheap stuff you buy in bulk and put in squeezy bottles. I know everyone raves about it..
Cracking bacon and egg butty.
Just what I needed before trek in downpour up snowdon.
Nice chunky bacon.
Belting.

Went there a couple of times, love the menu they have, ham, egg and chips I love. Reasonably priced too and the staff are very friendly.
We've been here for breakfast, lunch and tea and always found it to be decent and busy with people.
The hot chocolate after a day in the mountains is a treat.
It took 10 minutes to order our food and then another 25 minutes for it to be cooked and brought to our table. One portion of chips and a full english breakfast. The place was crammed with people more to do with its location than the quality of the food or the service . Neither of which matched my expectations for the price charged . The place looked like it had been decorated by a 5 year old although in fairness it was clean . Most definately will NOT go there againThere was a perfectly good chippy just around the corner and will go there instead on my next visit to Llanberis....
Really poor service and a long wait.
Very disappointed by our recent visit.
We have been coming here for ages and used to live just up the road.
Unfortunately today the staff all but ignored us. No greeting, no friendliness.
The drinks I ordered with the food were just left on the counter, five minutes after I'd ordered and paid for them. No one even told me they were mine!!
Our table was dirty and we waited half an hour for our food and it wasn't very busy, I've seen it much more rammed.
We wouldn't have minded the wait, but we weren't told about it, as I said the servers didn't even speak to me apart from to ask what I wanted and to thrust a card machine at me.
The exception was the guy with the mustache. He was running around all over the place and really working hard but he was really polite and friendly. Shame he didn't serve us.
Will we be back? Yes because I like the place and I get people have off days but please treat customers better, it might be their first visit and I certainly wouldn't return if today was my first impression.
Good food, simple and cheap. Everything you need to set you up for a day in the mountains.
Good ish food and coffee, nothing special. Good history though
Food and service brilliant. Well recommend and excellent value for money
Had dinner and breakfast here three days in a row, supersized meals at low prices, so glad we found this place while staying in Llanberis. Diolch!
Great place good quick service.
Excellent food. Had the liver and bacon. Probably the best I've ever had, huge plate full excellent value! Proper mug of tea.
Will be recommending to everyone. Definitely going again
Nice bunk house, good prices and includes bedding, tea & coffee. In a great location to explore the area and right above the cafe, perfect for a good breakfast and/or dinner
Service was a bit ropey and chaotic but through it all the staff were friendly and good natured. It was incredibly busy due to the main Snowden centre being closed for winter, hence the chaos. The meal when it arrived was very generous and tasted great, I saw some amazingly large and delicious looking hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream going out too! Cappuccino was very nice too. I would go back :)
good food, good prices, good staff, open early everyday for walkers.
Although the food was nice, the service was terrible. It took over an hour and a half to get our food after ordering. Staff were very apologetic, but wasn't enough!
Great place really big and do a massive varity of food teas coffys and beer.not so many options if you gluten free or vegan and really they could do with more options.if you eat meat there are plenty to choose from.the staff is friendly and it is a fun place to eat.will be going again when over there
Cheap and huge portions. Staff are chatty when it's not ram packed too which is always nice!
The coffee is gigantic too!
Climbing photos on the walls are epic! Hope to get one of mine up there some day!
Good wholesome everyday food. Portions are generous and served promptly. Can get very busy during holidays and weekends. Very popular with locals and walkers.
Great big walking breakfast before Snowdon. Very reasonably priced!
It's Petes! No need to say more.
. Get in, get warm, get full!
Charged us for 2 extra breakfasts which we had to sort out, then messed up 5 out of 6 orders and took an hour to get to ua
Food good and punctual, but lady behind till was very moody
Love this place. Start thinking about what I'm going to get on the way down every mountain.
Best eating amd meeting place in Snowdonia. Great tea and cakes.
Yet again a great place to drink a massive mug of tea and food. Great atmosphere. Fist time my daughter has visited.
Love this place perfect place to stay the night staff are great and food is gorgeous, would definitely stay again !! Cheers
A friend recommended the Chips & Cheese Butty... it definitely did not disappoint!!!
Cheap, filling and really quality cafe food. Recommend it with no reservations. Great stuff.
Yes but with reservations. Orders can get lost, if it's taking time chase it up!
Great cafe that we visit every time we are in the area. Huge portions and a friendly atmosphere.
Great place to get warm, fuelled up and out of the elements!
Great place to grab a full breakfast when you re on your way up or back down Snowdon. The proper full on breakfast available in different sizes. Nicely cooked to order. Good, tasty mountain fuel.
The tea sometimes could be a bit fresher - sometimes it s over-stewed.
Does exactly what it says on the tin, good hearty meals for weary walkers. A beacon of hope after a long weekends walkabout.
Great food but quite slow with the serving whilst busy , over an hour for breakfast ...! Overall spot on for great for good old cafe food
not many places do fresh food ,freshly cooked and great portions and not overpriced, , if you want a hearty breakfast or a meal this is definitely the place to go , warm welcome clean toilets shower room right in the middle of llanberis forget the rest this one definitely deserves to be the best locals and visitors made welcome , forget the little tea rooms look for Pete's eats on the corner, went 3 times out of 5 days and would go back anytime
great little cafe, loads of space, had a lovely burger and chips which was huge but a reasonable price. great job lads
The best place to eat after a long hike. Popular place for hikers, big meals and great food
Lovely breakfast
Lovely service from staff
Hygiene was good
Been going here for a while also nice to visit this place
Good size cafe grub for after a tough day in the mountains or the morning after a heavy party
It's Pete's absolutely classic to this day and cannot go wrong after a day on the mountains. Highly reccomend the hot chocolate with everything.
Staff friendly, the food should have been better, but on the Saturday night we visited, the kitchen was struggling to keep up.
Great filling food. Large menu. Good portions for a reasonable price. Great if you have been up the mountain, swimming, running, walking etc. Highly Recommended.
If you go to Llanberis you MUST go here, loads of good food to choose from, steaming mugs of tea and coffee, loads of people to chat to, great place
Real food, properly cooked.
Large tea/coffee = 1 pint mug :-)
Small = standard mug anywhere else!
Classic greasy food. Good for the soul. Maybe not the body
I ordered an omelette and it was the most oily and greasy thing I ever had. The chips were ok and I guess if you like cheap fast food you will like it.
Top notch breakfast after a night in a tent quick service as well but keep your ears open for your order number!
Best cafe in the world?
Very possibly.
Great vegetarian options, and just a wide variety of dishes offered at good prices. The place is climbing themed which is a plus. A brilliant place to crash after a weekend highlining.
good quality, massive portions, fun decor, friendly staff, nice calm but buzzing ambience full of weathered outdoorsy folk, and tonnes of local info about hiking, running, climbing routes and activities... go eat at Pete's!
I have ordered extra egg and got nothing only 20 minutes wait. I have even asked waitress and waited for extra 10 minutes thinking it could sorted. They are too busy and not organised. The breakfast was large but tasteless. The same with eggs, why are they using eggs from the supermarket??? so many farms around!
