Really massive mugs for cups of tea were very much appreciated by myself and the hubby! Great food portions, typical cafe sort of food but cooked well, good prices and certainly no complaints from myself, the husband and the three kids! Cheep and cheerful.

Defienetley the worst burger ever. The meat was like ready low quality burger from supermarket - tasted like frankfurters from Lidl. Mozzarella was a thin slice. Bun was totally cold!!! The should call it a sandwich not a burger. Chips looks disgusting and taste not much better, were black. Very greasy.
Only plus was coleslaw. Nice.
Only for really hungry people.

Fair prices, good service!

Updated: 2nd time I've been served stone cold food. Sad to say that after 20 years of coming here, I'm never coming back now. Lowered score from 5 to 3.

Absolutely awful food, I had a " Dragon burger ", so bad, 1 burger slapped in a bap with chilli sauce poured over it with a plate of chips, had a large mug of coffee with it, stewed watery taste.

The wait for the food was indeed quite long but understandable as there was a group of 8 students before us. Had the daily special lasagne but was disappointed as the whole thing was dry and I've had better from a supermarket one.

Pete's Eats is a great walkers cafe. The food is always good quality, substantial and filling. The cafe is busy year round but there is never a long wait for food. We have been visiting there for years even though we live in Snowdonia.

Ordered the special of steak pie, first they just gave just a pie, then they gave me a proper meal, but pie was dry as can be. Sent it back and it was returned with fresh pie, but everything else had gone cold, so changed it to ham,egg and chips which was nice

The actual restaurant is great for social distancing as it's huge with comfortable seats and big tables. Efficient and quick service. However after reading the other reviews, I had high expectations when it came to the food and the food was.... average. Everything needed a touch more seasoning. On the plus side, we were given big hearty portions and the prices were cheap.

I was having a pretty rubbish morning anyway, so was hoping a breakfast in Petes and a hot tea would help. Unfortunately, 40 mins after ordering i went to check where our food was and was told "oh, I'll go and do it now". They had lost our food ticket, which ok, can happen, but there was no apology. Both the kids were starving and after waiting another 20mins for our food they had forgotten part of our order again. Anyone with small children knows how fun it is being in a cafe for that long waiting for food. Regretted going in.. staff need some basic customer service lessons.

Arrived at Pete's Eats just after a power cut. Rather than turn us away, the lovely staff invited us to stay. Unable to cook us anything, they offered to make us a brew and provided hot water for us to heat our baby daughter's pouch for lunch.

There was no charge for the tea but we bought some flapjack that was absolutely delicious.

Lovely staff made us feel very welcome.

We were four people. Milkshake was made from luke warm milk. Burgers were made of market grade cheap market food stuff and one of them came out cold. No dressing just the "steak", dry buns, tomato slice and salad. The omelet was burnt to crisp. Fast service though.

Another cracking meal at Pete s Eats. With their large mugs of tea and great portion sizes, Pete s is the perfect place for a pit stop after a day walking in the mountains. Outdoor seating too for when the weather is fine!

Very nice and welcoming place with proper cup of tea :)
The staff is welcoming and helpful, food is in the right budged and right size of the portion (after meal never goes hungry even on the way to the summit), the food will sort you out nicely after long walk to the mountains.

In cafe you can find home freshly made sandwiches to eat in or take out (good for pack lunch) very nice cakes (to eat in or take out for pack lunch) perfect cup of tea or coffee, nice selection of local bottled bears.
What I like that on the wall is always freshly printed forecast for the Snowdon Summit for the whole current day, so you can have nice full breakfast - check the weather and go for adventure. So that was my main spot to have a breakfast, check forecast and start my day.

Would be nice if cafe would offer option of the pack lunch for some price - so you can pick 2-3 items to take with you.

Pizza night - very good pizza and the effort to decorate place made it cozy and nice - specially when it is wet and very windy outside. I just had come back from 20 mile walk and though pizza would be nice for end of the day. Nice local bottled bear. plenty toppings, nicely done pizza, at the right size for the hungry man for the right price - when food make me happy then I am very happy :)

This is probably the best cafe there is. Simple food - liver, burgers, breakfasts, omelettes, jacket potatoes - but well cooked, well priced and in very hearty quantities. Always busy, but you'll find a seat. A bit of a wait for food, but not too long.

No dogs allowed inside, but outside seating is available, weather permitting.
