ParkWhiz Review

They charged my CC , confirmed the spot in the garage , when I tried to pick-up my car I was told to pay. ! I protested , to no avail...I had to pay double the price in order to get my car. This Co. Is bogus and scam artists! Stay away they are bunch a thieves!!!

Do not use ParkWhiz!!! They gave me a scanner code that didn't work in a busy downtown Chicago parking lot. People behind me were getting angry that I was taking so long. I ended up having to pay for a full price ticket out of my own pocket to enter and exit the facility. When I asked for compensation, they only returned my discounted original purchase and gave me the rest as a "credit". I've been going back and forth with them via email, phone, and text but still no luck. ADVICE: USE SPOTHERO INSTEAD!!

Overbooked the lot. I was taking my kid to her 1st Cubs game. It was the 4th inning by the time we found parking and got inside. You suck Park Whiz. Thanks for nothing.

Customer service guy calls me back, doesn't say he's from parkwhiz and was not helpful when it came to trying to find monthly parking. Saying monthly parking is not available could mean either there are no current spots available at this time OR that parking garage does not do monthly parking ever. He didn't descriminate between the two even when I asked multiple times and he got upset with me for asking him the difference. Terrible customer service.

I entered the parking garage 15 minutes early and left the garage before noon on Sunday and was suppose to leave at 3 am on Monday. I got charged an extra $22 for entering early. This is rediculous you should be able to enter or exit to explore any time you would need to without being charged extra because you reserved your space for an allotted amount of time. When it comes to other people reserving the company would know how many spaces are available.

Great company! I never have a issue but when I do it gets resolved efficiently when I contact there support line.

DO NOT USE PARKWHIZ. Do yourself a favor and use Spothero or take a chance with the City of Chicago's parking meters (seriously, this company is WORSE than the City of Chicago). Parkwhiz will have you pay for parking, not help you when you have a problem (which seems to be the norm w/their garages) and offer you a credit when you demand a refund. But who wants a credit for a business that you won't patronize? I know it's extreme but you'll be far better off using a parking meter. My experience with Parkwhiz was worse than getting a parking ticket and I live in Chicago.

Don't even think about calling their customer service. IT IS A JOKE! I am typically very quiet but today, I was near downtown Chicago, screaming at some lady about a parking pass and trying to convince her that it really said to "pull a ticket" to get in the garage (I am not brilliant but I can read. The parking pass clearly said to "pull a ticket." Apparently, this lady thought she was some kind of wizard who could convince me that the parking pass didn't say what I could clearly see that it said). Not only was I late for work but I was wet (it was raining). If I wasn't so mad, I would think this was funny. But it was not and I AM PISSED.

Please read their yelp reviews. There is a reason that EVERYONE has rated them a 0. This company really is terrible.

Worst service ever. I waste my money and my time. I booked my parking spot 3 weeks before the concern. I got the address some hours before the event and due to all the things that they put in the email, it sent it to spam folder immediately. I spent one hour looking for the parking lot and at the end I finished parking it in the street.

Love the idea and the execution of the idea, but I didn't like the fact that I couldn't scan into the parking facility. My online app didn't display a barcode to scan. The customer service was excellent and got me in and out without further delays. That being said, any time I'm in the Chicago area, ParkWhiz is definitely the way to go if they can get the scanning down and the over booking down.

I booked 6 days (Aug 23 - 29) of parking thru the ParkWhiz phone app at Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel on 4440 W John Carpenter Fwy in Irving for only $53. . Needed a ride to / from DFW & a safe, inexpensive place for my car while I flew Spirit Airlines to see my daughter & son-in-law in the Twin Cities.
ParkWhiz app was easy to book my parking ahead of time with, provided a pass for parking personnel, took-up little space on my phone, & got me a great deal on long term parking.
I highly recommend it to anyone!

Zero stars. Did not tell us that they would be closed for July 4 and our car was locked up for a day and a half. We had no access.

I've used Parkwhiz for years and never had a poor experience. After reading some of these reviews, its clear that the reviewers didn't follow the instructions listed in the app. Discounted parking, efficient and effortless parking in most cities; I'm happy!

We downloaded the app which seems to work well. Was looking to park near Wrigley field for a Cubs game. The app gave us several options with different prices available. We confirmed the location and made the payment. The directions and lot description were great. Upon arrival to the lot we were told we could not park there that there was a mistake in availability. Keep in mind there were open spots and a sign at the entrance for Cubs parking. The attendant sent us to another lot stating they were accepting the confirmation. So we drove the 3 blocks only to be denied there also. I'm not sure what went wrong and don't know if I would trust the app again. I did call customer service and they were very apologetic and said they would credit us right away. We'll see

I would give no stars if possible. Please do not trust this company. They gave me a parking pass to a lot that was full and would not let me in. I had to ask cars behind me to back out on to a busy street in downtown Chicago (they loved me!). Once out, I pulled over to call ParkWhiz and I was given a $75 ticket by the police which of course ParkWhiz offered me no compensation for in any way. I would never have been in this position if they had given me a legitimate parking pass in the first place. Lesson learned. Never use ParkWhiz.

Parkwhiz charged me $20 more then actual rate at parking lot. Never use again

DON'T!!!!! I don't have the time to explain ALLLLL the things that went wrong because I've spent HOURS on the phone with them, the police, City of Mississauga, reps, supervisors, etc. etc. etc. JUST DON'T!!! Trying to get credit (not enough money in the world) for parking fines, etc. They sent me the wrong amount (less of course)!!! INSANE AMOUNT OF WASTE OF TIME BESIDES THE MONEY.

Not reliable. Parkwhiz will book a spot for you in a parking garage or lot and there won't even be a spot available. Fraudulent practices.

Stay away from this company.
They sold a parking space to me. When I got to the place the attendant said "This is not ours...if you want to park you have to pay $20".
This is not the best situation when yo are with your family attending an event.
Be careful.

wish I could give negative stars! They send you to places that give your reservation away! PaI'd $200 For tickets and drove 2 hrs only to have nowhere to park! Do no use these people $

I would give negative stars for ParkWhiz if I could. Similar to many of the other posts I had a horrible first time experience. Paid for a spot near the Chicago Theater for an event and when I got there the lot was full and there was a backup of cars in front and behind us so by the time everyone moved we were running late and had to park in the first lot I could find which was MUCH more expensive than what I paid. Customer service was responsive but their offer of providing a credit was not acceptable. I'm afraid to use the service again and wish I would have read these reviews ahead of time. DO NOT use this service, it will cause you more hassle and frustration vs being easy and convenient.
