I am from out of town and decided months ago I wanted to get a Flamingo tattoo while I was in Florida the next time. My husband and I researched a few places in the Destin area and decided to go to Atomic Frog Tattoo. Staff was very friendly treated you like family. Chris, my artist, did a wonderful job and now I want another tattoo. We are supposed to be going back to Destin in August so I may just have to stop by there.

My husband and I got tattoos to celebrate our 12th anniversary and John Boy and Chris did an amazing job! John Boy did mine and he was super cool and professional. I wanted my tattoo under my breast (on my rib) so I was a little nervous about laying there in my bra but he made me feel very relaxed and comfortable the entire time. We absolutely love our tattoos and will definitely be back!

Heather is a rad chick who (after I interrupted her lunch) gave me an awesome tattoo! I wanted very simple stick figs. IMO the simplest tattoos are the easiest to eff up but she had amazing/perfect straight line work. I can only imagine her work on larger/more in depth pieces because she's got an intense eye for detail. The shop was tolerant of my spawn sitting on the couch with my husband and tolerant of folks coming in with no idea of what tattoos they wanted and worked with them with great patience. First time getting tattooed by a girl (aka bad ass woman) which made my tattoo even better and my daughters have been obsessed with her ever since they saw her tattoo me and they know she's a skater...seriously (they are dorks). Recommend Heather...she's awesome! Shop generally very laid back, friendly, and prices are good!

Best tattoo experience I ve ever had (only had 4 prior). Honestly though, they were very professional, worked well with our budget & our artist (Jon boy) had a great personality as well as talent (he did exactly what we had in our heads). If you re in the area & want that vacation tattoo everyone tells you not to get, go here! Ask for Jon Boy for a great conversation & piece!

I got my nose pierced last night and the staff was super amazing. I was so nervous but they calmed me and made me feel like part of the family. Snowball did a great job ! My tattoo artist Ed was a great artist and was very kind and helpful, however they charged me $140 for a TINY pineapple that took 15 minutes to complete ( he was going slow for my anxiety) it was literally just lines, no shading or color whatsoever. Don t plan on coming back unless I m offered a fair price for the work I m having done. Should ve shopped around before putting down a non refundable deposit down of $60 4 days in advance and I suggest you do too.

Edit from response: Me and the rest of my group felt like we were taken advantage of being that 3 of us had never had a tattoo before so we did not know what to expect. I thought it was a bit outrageous when handing over my debit card (Especially because I DID voice how expensive it was with the original quote of $160 so it was brought down to $140) but I didn t have previous experience to compare a legitimate fair price. Plus I had wasted my last day of vacation waiting in the shop for my turn (5 hours for a TINY pineapple). Long story short, I think this establishment saw a group of people wanting to get tiny tattoos on their family vacation and totally screwed us.

Chris did an amazing cover up for me! I actually said WOW when he was done and I saw it! Could not ask for a better artist or a better tattoo shop! I highly recommend them and I am hard to please!!!

I made a last minute decision to get a tattoo and my friend nicci referred me to tommy, he did an amazing job and made me very comfortable, he has a light hand and is on point!!! I will definitely be getting tommy to finish my new piece as well as sending anyone wanting to get some ink their way!!!

Most tattoo shops either gouge or treat you like an outsider if you do not already have several tats. Not the case here. Tommy quoted a great price. Everyone was friendly to my wife and I even though we did not have any visible ink. By far the best tattoo experience we have ever had.

Tattoo is perfect & the staff was awesome!! We got 5 tattoos between the 5 of us & they were all PERFECT.

I just spent a few hours getting some very detailed work done with Cody, and he did a beautiful job!!! Very happy with this shop all around. The people are professional, friendly, and make sure you are getting EXACTLY what you want. The shop is very clean, and there is a good atmosphere all around when you walk in. I also love how family oriented this shop is! It just goes to show how kind and caring these people are. I highly recommend coming to get your work done here! I will most definitely be back. Came to them looking to get my first tattoo and was not disappointed! Walked in to get a consultation and even though they were pretty busy, I was given excellent customer service! In to schedule an appointment and out within 15 minutes. Went in the next day for my appointment with Chris and he s the bomb!!!! He made me feel SO comfortable and eased my nerves about getting a tattoo completely. We talked throughout the whole process and I m extremely happy to have gotten to meet him! The work was phenomenal and the process was quick and easy. Highly recommend this shop, even more highly recommend Chris!!!

This review is based on the HENNA. First off, very unprofessional to have screaming-whiney kids in a place of business. Also, outrageously over priced henna. Basically, the girl just stencils and copies some henna, and sticks the henna stencil on your arm. (A 2nd grader could do this!) This is not at all free handed like the wonderful people at State Fairs that do henna beautifully and free handed. Not to mention way cheaper! Anyways, she shakes constantly while doing the henna (probably craving. Cig) & does a crappy job. And I'm not kidding. So badly done it looks like a kid did it. Also, followed the instructions per the shaky woman, and last but not least, it faded completely in days. She should not be doing henna. It's a curse on the name Henna. It's probably just a gag the shop did just for extra cash, ripping Spring Breakers off. Beware! Beware! Beware! Temporary tattoos last longer then the rip-off henna at this shop!

Front desk person didn't seem happy to be at work, but our artist was hilarious and did good work. Pricier than back home! Recommend this place and Dragon as an artist.

Cody was the best damn help you could ever ask for and went above and beyond to make it as good as an experience as possible. Am definitely going to this shop again even if it s just to hear more of his jokes. (Also his line work is fantastic.)

It was an absolute pleasure working for Brett and Rachel at Atomic Frog Tattoos and just wanted to say since buying the place this past fall they have done a great job so far and continue To make this shop the best tattoo shop in Destin. Zach and Xander are both great artists and as I take this next step up the ladder to open my own shop I d like to personally recommend them both as extremely talented artists. I came in while on vacation. I was greeted at the door and taken care of immediately. The shop was clean and the artist were all very friendly and knowledgable. Artists were very friendly and willing to work with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The whole shop was clean and the staff was super nice. Will definitely go back in the future!

While in Destin for a girls trip, three us of decided on getting tattoos. Three different gentlemen did three different tattoos for us. I cannot express how incredible these guys were. John Boy, Chris and Richie are excellent tattoo artist. I highly recommend you stop in at the Atomic Frog Tattoo while in town if you are looking for a tattoo. Everyone in the shop was extremely nice and made us feel welcome.

I m visiting Destin with my family and it s the first good thing to happen for me since hurricane harvey, as we re from Houston Texas. I knew to come here based off the reviews and portfolio. I was excited about the atmosphere. The artists all looked awesome and professional. But when I got there, it was an entire shift in what I thought. I thought I d be treated like an annoying tourist and I wasn t! I have never been to a shop that treated their customers with genuine care to the extent of which I witnessed and felt myself. Their attitudes are awesome and their artwork is spot on. Not only am I happy with the artists, but they will work with your budget as best they can. Diamond Dave the owner is a true saint and Chris was the awesome guy who tatted my rib piece. He did better than I pictured it! It HAD to be done in Florida for personal reasons. They treated me so nice that I was willing to switch up what I get, placement wise; so that I can afford it and still give them the business I planned to give. Upon seeing that, the owner made SURE I got my tattoo at whatever cost and never in my life have I felt so respected and understood. He s a very empathetic guy and his energy is great. Place is not too busy probably just weekends; but if it is, they work fast and have plenty of artist who will take care of you. The quality of their work for the price you pay is second to none. Thank you Dave and thank you Chris!!! I can t remember the girls name, but she knows who she is! She helped a lot also and made me feel super comfortable even tho she was busy. I was digging her storm trooper tat on her leg lol! Thank you guys for adding to my experience and anyone else reading this, obviously I HIGHLY recommend. Love love love

Great people, everybody is extremely nice and friendly. All the artists do excellent work and try their hardest to make sure everybody is comfortable. David did an amazing job on a simple tattoo I got and the tattoos that chris gave some of my friends also turned out great. The shop stays pretty busy but that is to be expected for a 5-star tattoo shop, especially in a tourist destination. David takes care of his staff equally as well as the customers are taken care of, ensuring they are all working as efficiently as possible while making sure nobody is too over worked. While we were in the shop an artist had skipped dinner to keep giving tattoos and began to feel light headed so David took over the tattoo so his artist could eat and have a break. Overall it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this shop for the quality of both the art and the entire staff. I will more than likely be returning here the next time I'm in the area.

Super friendly, quick apt time, and custom, all custom no flip boards with the same tats everyone else has. You will get your own individual tattoo that no one else s has. Would recommend over and over again.

Absolute BEST tattoo shop! !! We are from Tennessee and Chris did my sons first tattoo and my 5th, best tattoo experience I have had at any shop. Our friend Lauren also got her nose pierced. My son and I came in to get matching tattoos...a Portuguese national soccer team cross...mine black and white and my son's color...two different artists did ours but the work is amazing for both of them...mine was done by Johnny Boy and my son's by Richie...on top of that, I also got a different cross on my left arm also done by Johnny Boy...amazing place, amazing people...

My wife and I just got tattoos from Atomic Frog Tattoos, and it was a great experience. We both have multiple tattoos, so we have previous experiences to compare. I was tattooed by Chris. He took a basic idea I had for a compass tattoo and put some amazing touches on it to make it really pop. My wife was tattooed by Johnboy. She wanted some basic script, and he helped her get the font and sizing right. Both our tattoos look amazing. Also, everyone at Atomic Frog was very personable and made the experience that much easier and more enjoyable. Since we are from out of town, I would definitely come back to see them again.

Just left Atomic Frog Tattoo beyond satisfied with my tattoo!! Tommy did an absolutely amazing job covering up a previous tattoo I was not very happy with! I have never been so in love with a tattoo! I'm from Illinois, came down here on vacation, decided last minute to get my tattoo redone. If I ever come back to Destin, I will 100% come back to atomic frog tattoo. Richie Grant gave me my little piece of Florida to take back to Texas with me! he was very professional, courteous, kept me informed thru thewhole process and did a great job with the coloring and shading! I was in Destin last weekend and had a great trip. I got to go deep sea fishing for the second time. And this time I caught a black fin tuna which was awesome. So I really wanted to commemorate the experience. So I looked up tattoo shops and the Atomic Frog stuck out. So I made contact and John Boy said he'd love to do a tattoo for me. So all I can say these guys are great. He did an excellent job tattooing a black fin tuna on my leg. I would recommend this shop to anyone visiting Destin Florida.

Absolutely love Xander s work. It was my first tattoo and he was kind and understanding. He took what I wanted and made it s amazing. His color selections and color blending turned out amazing. I would highly recommend Atomic Frog as I am now bias to Xander everyone in the place was friendly and engaging. Everything was looked and felt very sanitary and clean.

In Destin on vacation and we were looking to get safe henna (temporary) tattoos for our four young kids, we thought it would be a cool experience and it was. I trusted other Google reviews, I called in advance to make sure they could fit us in and showed up and hour later. The place was clean, the staff was professional and very courteous to our family. We have always loved the beach, the shopping and everything else Destin has to offer, now we can add Atomic Frog to the list. If you are looking for a safe henna tattoo, in a safe environment, check this place out.

Staff were friendly and very helpful in designing my tatoo to match how I had envisioned it. Took the time to go over all aspects of size, color and fine details to get it just right. Thank you so much for my experiences. I only go one place for all my tattoos back home in Ohio, but I went out on a limb and got one while on vacation. I stopped at Allen s tattoo shop and they were completely rude to me. I called ahead and they were more willing to fit me in . I was greeted when I walked in and Zach did an amazing job. A few weeks ago, I went in to get a daith piercing. I was very nervous after researching and listening to other people's experience. The piercing was not painful, I just felt pressure. It is completely healed and has helped with my migraines. The people in the shop were very knowledgeable and helped me relax. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a piercing.
