Lovely hotel, spacious rooms and staff extremely attentive
We received exceptional services at the hotel. First the bed arrangements was incorrectly submit by the agent, but the staff has been helpful to rearrange another room for us. Unfortunately the room not clean due to some unforeseen circumstances. The staff has helped us yet again with another room. This has left a wonderful expression in us and will definitely recommend others to stay in the future
Not the 5 stars hotel of a few years ago (food really average) but has attentive managers
This is a great hotel. Fantastic facilities and a really relaxed vibe. Rooms are well appointed and the staff are always helpful.
Lovely clean spacious room. Well appointed with quality bathroom accessories. The room has digital controlled climate control, many power points, fridge, stocked refreshments, table for working and comfortable bed. The hot water in the shower was at a great pressure. Overall a spacious room. The service from all staff was first class and attentive. We utilised the speakers bar were service was quality and a roaring matched this off perfectly. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful location, excellent hospitality & beautiful food.
Really disappointed with the Buffett, it used to be excellent, Hyatt please pick up your game
A horrible barfunguz formed in my toilet and when I took a crap it came up and bit me
Sincerely-Pa
Great hotel, restaurant, comfortable beds and fabulous breakfast
Perfect for a classy overnight stay. Nice pool, great views and an excellent location. Walk to lake, parliament house
Getting a bit tired in places and very pricey but still has a charm
This is a beautiful Hotel in the art deco style. We would not stay anywhere else. Attention to detail is paramount and we love staying here.
Convienent location, not far from the CBD or cafes. The hotel is old, no parking facilities, one has to use the public parking close by. Rooms are decent sized but average in decor and amenities...
Giving 4 stars for this 5 star hotel. Great location (although not the best for food hunt). A little old.
One of the hotels we visit ever year. Highly recommended.
We had high tea there for my Mum's birthday. It was fabulous!!
Close to the cuty center and parliament House. Appears to be classic setout.
Perfect place for a dinner and 'official' gatherings.
Attended High Tea. While the desserts were great, the savoury selection was very minimal, not of a very decent standard & some (Asian seafood panna cotta) was absolutely disgusting (5 of 5 in my group had to spit it out as soon as tasting it).
Terrible value for money at $65.
nice and clean just very hard to find the right direction to my room it is big hotel
First the deal is not good. The relation price consumption is terrible, the rooms are simple, spacious but uncomfortable, comes out bath edor, the hotel manager gave a depressive, unethical treatment, I do not advise a tourist who is not white come to this hotel
Always a pleasure to attend events here. Hospitality is amazing and never seems forced. Highly recommended to all.
Feels good staying here. Food, staff, service, room and bed are all the best standard.
Not a whole selection of food but the quality was excellent. Would stuff myself full of food there again :)
Perfect location. Perfect place to stay if u want to visit parliament house or lake burley graffin. Classic 5 star hotel. Club king room is old but clean and comfortable. Parking is 25 dollars per day. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet are standard. Definitely the place I will stay again I visit Canberra in the future.
Paid for a park view room. Ended up in a bottom floor facing a car park. Won't be staying here again.
We attended a birthday party hosted by a friend at the Hyatt hotel Canberra. Room was of decent size, Service was great. Food was good but a bit salty. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended Hyatt for hosting any events.
$70 per person for an all-you-can-eat buffet, plus tea and coffee and a glass of rose. Excellent service, staff was friendly and attentive. Food was decent, but can improve on the variety. I enjoyed the savoury food more than the dessert. Lovely atmosphere with live music (the pianist was very friendly and chatty). Overall it's an enjoyable experience.
The food in the open buffet is horrible and very over priced. I know it's the Hyatt but to pay that much for good that is worse than what you'd find in a food court is appalling.
Brilliant venue from the doorman to the caterers. Plenty of parking around the side or back of you're attending a function
Unique and beautiful, from the bars, the restaurant and the function rooms, always impressive.
Beautiful. Clean.well maintain. Excellent customer service. Will be back . thank you for your friendly atmosphere.
Best hotel in Canberra. Facilities are good including the gym and lounge. Staff polite and very helpful.
Great hotel with great people who work there. Rooms are very spacious and the gym equipment has just been updated. I'd definitely say it is the best hotel in canberra.
Huge rooms excellent food deep baths well stocked minne bar
Beautifully quaint, but could do with better access for prams and wheelchairs
So nice and cozy, the best place for a holiday stay
3.5 Stars Great location, wonderful ambience, beautifully appointed rooms, attentive staff but not all on top of their game. Spotless clean.
Beware of deceptive business practice at Hyatt Hotels.
I believe the room types are falsely advertised on the Hyatt website and on Booking.com. We booked a one night stay in a room described as 1 King Bed with Courtyard View at the cost of $348. We expected this would give us a view of the inner courtyard, or at the very least, the interior gardens.. or just a view of something nice. The room we were booked into was 321 which is located at the back of the hotel overlooking the rear carpark. The carpark was the view from the room listed as courtyard view.
We phoned the reception desk and explained we had booked a King Room with COURTYARD VIEW but they confirmed we had been given the correct room and there wasn't anything they could do. So we went down to the front desk and confronted them in person. Receptionist pulled out a map of the hotel and insisted we had been given the correct 'room type'. All these rooms looked to be located along the back of the property overlooking the carpark. It wasn't until I pulled out my phone and read out the exact wording from the booking form that this was a room with COURTYARD VIEW that the receptionist tried to find a room with a better view.
We were checked into a new room, number 425, which does have a nicer view of the interior of the hotel grounds.. but still not of the courtyards themselves. Upon inspection of the hotel grounds it actually seems there are no such rooms that overlook the courtyards.
We had room service and the food was nice and staff were generally pleasant so two stars for that.
Pool and spa was unbelievably dirty. Even staff were walking near the pool with dirty shoes. Food was not what is expected to be served in a 5 star hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Cancelled my reservation when I found out they're sponsoring hate group conferences. Sorry, Hyatt.
The food is pretty good but that's to be expected from Hyatt. I've also attended social gathering, the halls, decorations, catering were all on point. Parking isnt close and it's paid. The only bad thing I can say.
Sandy and I have just had a great weekend in Canberra staying at the Hyatt. The staff were magnificent !!! From Sam at the concierge and the boys, to Sarah in the lounge and the other girls, the other staff who's names I can't recall. I'm sorry that I don't remember. We thank you for a great weekend.
Pete and Sandy 378.
lovely hotel from an era of elegance but updated in a sympathetic manner. Set in the older part of Canberra it must have been in the past the haunt of politicians and statesmen and women a d to an extent it still us if you can corral today's present incumbents of such posts with the epithet.
Roo.s are modern a d clean. The gym a d pool excellent while the tea room is the place for conspiring by the looks of those present. Enjoyable hotel with nice staff and elegant plus-foured concierge!
Food was "tasy" but the entree and dessert were more flashy than they were filling. However, the msins were quite good. Facilities were in good conditions
Definitely the most luxurious hotel in Canberra. I love coming here for a long weekend. The restaurant buffet is INCREDIBLE for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The rooms are mid-century modern and all amenities within the hotel are incredible! The surrounding scenery is great, with Lake Burley Griffin, Lennox Gardens and the Beijing Gardens across the road. Would definitely recommend going for a bike ride around the lake.
Attended an event at this location. Very well catered and facilities are second to none. Top location and staff.
Absolutely love the service and location. exquisite design that makes Hyatt the perfect spot for a holiday, or functions.
Nice hotel, Great facilities, the pool and gym are sizeable and well equipped, beds are very comfy so a good choice for work trips. Rooms are a bit tired and could do with a freshen up but the bathrooms very grand with full range of lovely toiletries etc. service was excellent. Locations a bit out of the way but everything's just only a 25 minute walk away. The restaurants/room service is very expensive but all in all I'll stay there for work just for the fitness centre.
Hyatt Hotel is a very eloquent place. Staff were polite and interactive. The restaurant there serves excellent high tea during the day. There is a bountiful variety to choose from such as savoury pastries and scones. Complimentary drinks were of good quality and taste. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing.
Actually, Sunday afternoon I took my wife to the Hyatt for coffee in the courtyard on a windy day. The senior staff asked if we were guests, or there for high tea. Then told us there were no tables. But there were plenty of tables looking fine without any customers. I suspect that is how it's done.
Wonderful service, lovely room, and convenient to everything. Dinner was excellent.
Nice frame
Affordable price
Lovely staff
Really enjoy my stays at this historic hotel. Beautiful rooms!
Very nice hotel, great facilities and terrific friendly service.
I always stay at Hyatt while in Canberra. Makes easy access to my work related trip
The rooms at the Hyatt are immaculate and extremely comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful, kind and professional. I would offer my highest recommendation of the Hyatt to anyone considering staying there.
Always love The Hyatt.
Art Deco ambience in a location unlike any other in Canberra. Great service , beautiful food. The Tea lounge is a much nicer setting than the dining space . My go to for a special treat.
Beautiful, historic building & grounds in a fabulous location, very comfortable beds & rooms with helpful staff, we'll be back!
Hood place to stay. Nice gym area. 20m pool and sauna.
