The rooms here are huge compared to your average NYC hotel. Convenient to many different subway lines, this hotel boasts close proximity to Times Square, Central Park, and many other great attractions. Highly recommended.

My wife and I checked in there last Saturday night for 2 nights as we were running the NYC half marathon.
Our check was quick and nice our room was spacious but very loud.
There was mold in our bathroom.
We checked out on Monday morning very early.
My wife called the hotel at 8am hotel at 8am to say she left her nyc half marathon jacket that she bought at the marathon expo in the room and could they place it in most and found as she would collect it.
She was given the run around all day by the staff and when she requested to speak to any manager none would speak with her or even return her call. Finally 2 days later the security called. Not a manager but security called to tell her no jacket was found.
These people steal your property and call it there own.
Very poor customer service and they all should be ashamed of themselves in how they did nothing to prevent this from escalating

Had the BEST stay ever at the park central...was greeted by the managers, Eric and Linda at the front desk. They were so kind and accommodating. The hotel was spotless and the room had an amazing view. Would highly recommend picking this hotel when staying around Carnegie Hall, Central Park South, or Times Square. The subway is also right on the corner for easy travel around the city. Plus the room seemed very sleek and modern with a great bathroom setup. 10/10

I have NEVER been so disappointed in a hotel in my life!! Here's why - On July 24th my house burned down (feel like that s a lie? Google my name - Jaime Fern Telfeyan) Life has been rough to say the least so I booked a 4 night stay from 12/8/17-12/12/17 at Park Central even though it wasn t really in the budget because I really wanted to surprise my daughters with an amazing Christmas time trip! I thought a few days of ice skating in Rockefeller Center and Macy s Santaland would be just what we needed to forget about having lost everything in our worlds. I thought, do it now, money is money, memories are forever. So I got down to the business of planning!

I booked my stay online and specified I needed TWO QUEEN BEDS AND A ROLLAWAY. Then I called because I wanted to make sure we got a rollaway and I knew that was a request only item and this trip was VERY important to me! They confirmed all was great and the notes were on my reservations, they said make sure you call the hotel directly just in case. So I DID! I called the hotel DIRECTLY! Spoke to the HOTEL STAFF DIRECTLY and confirmed TWO QUEEN BEDS AND A ROLLAWAY! I felt confident and went about making reservations for the rest of the trip.

Fast forward to arriving at the hotel. We walk up to the desk with my, now exhausted, twin 5 year old daughters in tow, at around 6:30pm. The RUDE woman at the desk says that she has me down for two queen beds. I remind her of the rollaway I ve called about and she says no way ma am, that s a fire hazard, you can t have a rollaway in ANY of those rooms . WHAT!!! I tell her I ve called the hotel DIRECTLY and they ve told me that it s on my reservation and won t be a problem at all. HERE IS WHERE IT GETS CRAZY! She says yes ma am I can see that you called, I have that here, but we can t put a rollaway in those rooms so it s not happening. It s a fire hazard. Again, WHAT!!!! So I tell her I need the bed and they already confirmed it, if it couldn t be done then they SHOULD have told me ON THE PHONE. I tell her they need to put us in a room with enough space and she says sorry, we re fully booked. Agaaain, WHAT!!!!! I am about to cry at this point because I ve literally used all the money I have to take my daughters on this trip and we are now in New York and it is too late to undo anything and she says you can have a breakfast voucher. !!!!! WHAAAAT!!! The voucher that pays for a muffin and a juice! REALLY! The room was $450 a NIGHT!!!! So when I start to freak out she says look I can move you to a queen bed with a pull out couch, we can fit a rollaway in there. I tell her if that s the case I need to have my room fee adjusted because I paid for two BEDS, not a bed and a old couch, and she smirks and says no. That s a suite, your lucky we can even put you in that. I WAS SO UPSET!!! She did not care at all! NOT AT ALL! No apology! NOTHING! I asked if they could apply an active duty military discount (my travel companion had his ID present for them to view if needed) to offset costs and she laughed and ignored me! So...what? You also don t care about the military?? I was desperately trying to fix what YOUR STAFF had ROYALLY messed up and was getting mocked in the process! I gave up and spent the next 20 minutes waiting for one of the TWO elevators that service all the floors of your hotel to have room to carry us to our 6th floor suite with one bed, a pullout, a rollaway and a $450 a night price tag.

Well, Park Central. Your treatment of my family and I makes me SICK TO MY STOMACH! I hope that those among you that own and operate your facility never find yourself standing in front of your home watching everything you love and worked so hard to acquire burn to ash in front of you! And I hope than that if it does, when you finally see a crack of light peeking through the clouds, there isn t a smirking rude monster of a business that doesn t care about its customers AT ALL waiting to crush you even further down. You took $2000 dollars from me and I slept on a piece of garbage uncomfortable old pullout for four days.

Great location. The rooms are nice, and they are spacious for being in Manhattan. A couple of quirks included the hair dryer not working well, the bathtub plug not working, and then always running out of newspapers, but the staff was always nice which is really important.

My 2nd time at the Park Central Hotel, once again everything was perfect. Staff as always very helpful. More importantly the enhanced safety measures and cleanliness across the hotel made me feel comfortable in the current climate.
Hand sanitiser stations in place and face mask policy enforced and ensured the safety of guests.
This hotel has a great location, with central park and times square within a few minutes walk

Location was very useful and convenient. Central park is beautiful! View isn't much but reasonable for the price, and they allow upgrades to more scenic rooms if you want. The room is very clean and the beds are comfy. Room is very big! Well worth it.

Only downside is the check-in was a bit late (4pm) so we had to lug a bag around a bit longer (they'd have probably held it, but we didn't want to make a trip for nothing early) and at check-in time there was a bit if a queue with few people working the front desk.

I'd strongly suggest staying here and may well do so again on my next overnight in NYC

The place is beautiful, interior design awesome! Room and bathroom very clean and so nice. BUT THE STAFF AWFUL. Never ran in to so many rude people. Besides the guys at the door the staff was awful. The ladies at the desk were miserable unhelpful and rude. They ruin the whole class of the place and Completely ruined my experience. I was so excitedabout staying here and having a nice weekend but the people ruined it. Another issue was the elevators were not working properly. I understand things happen, but Presidents' Day weekend/Valentine's Day weekend and you have lines of people waiting for elevators that weren't coming. They were swamped ! Also don't be surprised when you leave they'll throw a facilities fee at you for using the wifi. YUP! You pay 200 a night and THEY CHARGE FOR WIFI. Have not stayed at a hotel that charged for wifi in forever. So much potential here if their management team got on top of their staff. I hate to complain but I'm hoping this can help them improve their customer service.

Concierge gets 5 stars but, most unfriendly check in staff, ever. We complained about the adjoining room with 3 kids screaming until 11pm and starting up again at 5am. They had the nerve to say, "we can't control the behavior of the children" offering nothing in turn to no sleep all night, with a 10 day stay!
It's a dump...stay at the Aloft.

This is a very nice hotel the staff is great, the room I stayed in was subpar but it is very conveniently located and the rest of the facility is very nice. The problems I had with my room we're all cosmetic and if I had complained I strongly believe they would have made accommodations to improve my situation. The cafe in the lobby had a good selection of foods- the muffins are great. The hotel bar was great as well- offering a decent happy hour alternative to the expensive bars in the area. It is a very short walk to Central Park, Times Square, 5th av, 30 Rock, Bryant Park, and the MoMA. The hotel is surrounded by several subway stops making a trip to any part of Manhattan accessible. Again- the staff is absolutely excellent- even when we left an employee made sure to stand out in the rain and hail a cab for us. Despite the minor cosmetic disappointments of the room, this is a hotel that I would consider coming back to for my next trip to the city.

The parking area is too small, especially considering the size of the hotel. This means that you'll probably take a lot of time finding a parking space. Valet parking service is also unavailable the first time we stayed here.

We ve stayed in a few NY hotels but found the Park Central was excellent, the rooms are clean and spacious as NY rooms go. The location is excellent too, just 5-10minute walk to Central Park, Times Sq, The Rockerfeller centre. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely consider coming back. The front desk staff are very friendly, as are all the staff.

Our stay at this hotel was really good! We had a room on the 18th floor, and it was new, beautiful, clean, and the view was amazing! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I also like that there are a lot of options to eat. I had a very good time here at this hotel and would love to come back soon.

Nice double bed room, can come w all the essentials if you ask for it. Lovely spacing. Best part is location, though. Close to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc. Would recommend if you can afford it.

Great hotel, modern rooms with great wifi service! Location is super central, right next to a Subway station. Also there are many good diners in walking distance - great for breakfast

Great hotel, nice new rooms and great location. Wifi is great (while you're there, it will boot you off the moment you check out). Still waiting for them to give us our service charge deposit back (told 7 days, it's been 12). We're 35 and loved this place. Didn't eat here as there's an amazing deli just down the road.

Great location for upper mid town and mid town. Facilities not bad but only 2 lifts working caused delay and the rooms, whilst generally very clean hadn't been cleaned right to the edges on the carpet! Still recommended but small improvements would make it excellent.

Park Central Hotel is perfectly nice and a bit more reasonable than other hotels nearby. It's an easy walk to Times Square or Central Park, and very close to Carnegie Hall.

It is an older hotel with some modern updates, but if you want super fancy amenities with full restaurant, etc, you should stay somewhere else. There is a bar on site with plenty of space for the guests of the hotel and people who wander in.

The staff are friendly but not overly so. They aren't rude, but I'd say they are businesslike for the most part and want to be efficient.

Overall for the price and location, this hotel is a decent choice.

The location of this hotel cannot be beaten! Two blocks from Central Park and two blocks from 5th Ave. It's the best of both worlds. The hotel is spotless, and the elevators are fast. The only issue is luggage check. They really should plan to have an extra person during peak times. I must say, the line stated to get long and the patrons started to get a little cranky, so someone from management came to help. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

This hotel is very nice and is located 2 blocks or so from central park. Across the street subway and 99Cents Pizza and The Burger Joint were my favourites to eat. The room was clean and cozy and good bathroom clean water some big dust bunnies on the vent in bathroom was about the only thing. Ok view and got used to street noise pretty quick alot of honking. Staff was friendly especially the doorman. Smoking area with ashtray close to front outside and undercover when raining so don't have to go far. Subway close by but unless you don't need to go far walking around manhattan is so easy.

Located between Times Square and Central Park, the hotel is well run and comfortable. Large bar is located on the first floor. Live music was performed the nights we were there. Elevators were small and with one out of service the others were in high demand. Staff was friendly.

They all have complete room facilities and the room is so relaxing. The staff spoke decent English and was very polite and explained the facilities available such as free daily entry to the onsen next door as well as priority access plus low-cost rooms. Thanks for the excellent service!

Really good hotel in a great location uptown near the park. Decent selection of restaurants in the area. Not much to eat at the hotel. Rooms are comfortable but a little crowded. Service was good and the bar was good.

My go to hotel in the city. I stay here once or twice a month. Love it. They redid it completely a few years ago. The location can not be beat. Block from park, a cross from Carnegie, 3 blocks from times square. Rates are reasonable and offer great discounts to returning cust. This is a must try.

I honestly didn t like how the Reception desk treated us, they were terrible when they should be more professional and have good manners to welcome the guests specially that we have payed for the stay for a whole week.
Maybe they are racist because I ve seen how differently they talk to other guests.

the rooms were good.

Just doing some reminiscing of my stay here in 2011. It was my first time in NYC and I absolutely loved it. I m a history buff, so to know the great pride this hotel took in its own history was very exciting to me. I appreciated the hotel staff and accommodations. When I bring my family to NY one day, we will most certainly be staying here. Thanks!

Location was the best part about this place. The room was pretty standard but the lighting is very dim. Elevators were slow. Courtyard view was actually a view of the utilities and other people's windows, not a courtyard.

The hotel is great, only one elevator working when we were there. The staff is amazing, the room service was very good, people very friendly 5 stars if it wasn't because of the elevators. Nice location too. Great overall

Got kicked out because they overbooked. The secret service was in town and commandeered too many rooms. They moved us to the Novatel down the street, have is cab fare and a $50 Amex gift card for our inconvenience. Looking forward to trying again in the future.

Great location, walking distance to times square and central Park. Maid service was was very good and rooms were always clean. Front desk was always helpful too. My only real complaint was the large amount of schools using the hotel. I assume they were mostly there for Carnagie Hall but every morning we came down stairs the lobby was insainly packed which spilled over to the lounge area as well. We never ended up using the lounge as it was almost always full of kids. But that's nit picking picking, over all our stay was outstanding.

Amazing hotel. It was clean, service was very good, and the attention to detail was stunning.

The room is very big compared to other Manhattan hotels. Even with the big room the price was still very reasonable.

The location is amazing. Once you walk out Central Park is to your left and Times Square is to your right. What is great is that Times Square is close but not too close so you can t hear the noise at night.

Great job Park Central.

Perfectly located just a 2-3min walk to almost everywhere, Central Park, Trade Center memorial, and whatever your in the mood for to eat is typically right around the corner- walking distance.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Location is great though to times square, carnegie hall and many other things. It does not have a pool, does not offer any in room amenities such as a coffee pot to make u r own coffee, no mini fridge, no bottle water to drink, if you're not watching maids will NOT replace your sheets on your bed.

I recently stayed at this hotel for the fifth time...

I recently stayed at this hotel for the fifth time over the past few years and had a terrible experience at check out. When I initially checked in, the front desk person asked for a credit card for incidentals , and put a $200 hold on the card, to which I agreed. I specifically asked if there were any others charges that I may expect, as I booked through a 3rd party platform and paid the 3rd party directly. No, just any incidentals, you ve already paid for your entire stay was the reply. My wife was standing next to me and confirmed the conversation just now as I write this. Upon checkout, I was informed that my card was charged a facilities fee of $165.28 for my stay. I said that was not what I was told upon check in and I must speak with a manager to get resolve, who was unavailable at the moment. No problem I m on my way to the airport and I will call shortly, which I did and had to leave a message for the manager. I received a call back from an accounting department person who informed me they could not do anything about the fee, as it was mandatory. He also said that it must have been a miscommunication, and there was nothing he could do outside of offering me a complimentary upgrade the next time I stay at this hotel. The next time? There will be no next time! Why would I stay there again after being lied to? I really don t have a problem with the facilities fee they charge, but I have a major issue when I am lied to about the charges on the front end, when I specifically asked if there was anything extra beyond incidentals. Obviously the manager did not care enough to call me back and so here I respond.

Disappointed. Location & cleanliness is excellent...but that's about it. Needed a fridge tonight, was promised one at check in, was told just a few moments ago that I will not be able to receive one tomorrow. Doubt I will. Needed it for a health reason. Ice machines on 5th floor don't work, was told to go to a different floor?!?! Really?....next time I'll stay at the Sheraton a block down. Wanted a non chain great experience...not so much.

It was nice, a little noisy at night, but I'd assume that's just how new York is. Good location with lots of diners an Cafes around, as well as a good distance from time square and other locations you might want to visit

Amazing location. Walking distance from most places you wanna go to in Manhattan. Standart room is small, the staff is not very welcoming... But i guess in NY its all about location! Have fun!
