Great service! I was first timer selling my flat, I had a look around couple of estate agencies and chose Justin Lloyd, and I am very happy I did. They are friendly, communication is quick and effective, there is no such a thing as silly question, all was explained clearly and questions answered promptly. I have recently rented out my property in Brighton with Justin Lloyd. All of the team are very good to deal with. Initially Jonathon, Victoria and Georgia in setting everything up and finding the tenants. I went for the fully managed option and James Cox has been excellent managing the property, including the maintenance to the roof, replacement door as well as some smaller issues which he dealt with very promptly and professionally.

I purchased my little gem of a flat via Justin Lloyd after a roller coaster 6 month journey. (Delays in no part due to Justin Lloyd). The details were well prepared and really drew my attention to the flat. After viewing the flat, Helen supported me through the negotiation process and Nick (with splashes of Gary and Helen) through the period leading up to exchange. Despite the team's best efforts to console me and keep me on board, I took to the bottle and started smoking again. That said, had it not been for Nick and Helen's tender mercies in particular, I may have had to go on bended knee to my GP for some Valium. Estate agents don't always get a good press, but Justin Lloyd are the exception. Without exception, everyone I dealt with (pretty much everyone) was helpful, courteous, well informed and friendly. This office is well organised and efficient. The staff are polite, friendly & always helpful. The office is clean and well furnished. If the specific member of the team you want is not present the others will always take a message or put you in touch via phone, email, or text message. Messages are always dealt with quickly - usually within an hour or two but often more quickly. As a tenant the management of my property is efficient and thorough. The inspections are non-intrusive and appreciative. Communication with my landlord is equally good with discussion of ways to resolve problems. There is one very helpful Justin Lloyd staff member who has got to know me and values my tenancy.

Great estate agents . We changed to them after being several months but no bites with a different estate agent in Kemp Town who were supposedly the best . This was all down to the persistence of Annie who wouldn t take no for an answer . They got us two offers within two weeks of our property being on their books and this was in November, not known as the best selling month . Luke was brilliant and not too tall after all !

Really rude telephone manner; called multiple times about a studio because I know how quickly they go, they assured me I would receive a call back the same day; never did. Called them the next day for them to say it was gone, and was basically like "well I can't help you". Come across very rude and unhelpful over the phone; and that was with two different individuals I spoke to over the course of 2 days.
This is the first time I have used Justin Lloyd, Have to say I have been very impressed. Ann in the office was very helpful and understood my requirements well and Ollie really took the time to make sure the property was well marketed and connecting up with potential tenants. They let my property in record time and the communication thru all stages was first class. I will be using them next time for sure.

Our experience of this agency to date has been very good. Due to personal reasons we had to make a swift relocation to the UK from overseas. Our agent, Victoria, understood our plight, found us a flat that fit our needs and managed to coordinate landlord, vetting agencies, cleaners, builders and other Justin Lloyd staff in order to organise our move at the earliest, even during her personal time. Nick, Helen, Lutfi and all the team were great. The buyer of my house was quite frustratingly slow but they were always clear and let me know the situation. At first I put my flat on the market with a few other agents, which I regretted. The other agents over promised and set up lots of viewings that I tidied up for and then didn't tell me about all the cancellations. Justin Lloyd were great. None of that nonsense. I'd recommend them.

First time letting through an agency, from significant damage in the flat not being in the inventory report to complete lack of communication with me and my partner, I can say that so far this has been a dreadful and worrying experience.
To our absolute shock, we were charged for the flat for 12 days prior to our actual date of receiving access to the property (even though the property was not taken off the market until the day we gained access).
This was all justified by Justin Lloyd s under the pretence that because there was a delay in our referencing, we should be charged for that delay and not the landlord (who had no tenant at that point or contract with us).
At no point was it communicated to us during the process of our referencing or at any stage after, that we would have to compensate the landlord for any delay in referencing and to be quite frank, it seemed that these guys were in no rush to help us get in quicker.
I found that every time, we seemed to be the ones getting in contact with them to push the process forward and check on the status of our move. Nobody seemed to really care at all and we were misadvised multiple times causing even more delays to the process (which ofcourse was out of our pocket without our knowledge).
I believe that there was sufficient time and opportunity for them as a letting agency to make it clear that during that time of referencing, we were being charged.
6 pages down on our online contract, it says in small writing that our tenancy would begin on a date that was retrospective to our actual move in date.
Read your contracts guys, you never know what they could be doing to you. We were just so excited to get in.
You would assume that being first timers in this they would have some compassion and at least the decency to let you know. But no. Of course. They d rather it was your money, not theirs.
With a legally binding contract there isn t much you can really do but make sure your situation is public, that people know your story. To prevent them making make the same mistakes and from being taken advantage of.
We paid the compensation and hopefully that is the end of our nightmare start to what was meant to be a bright future living in our first flat together.
I would advise you, look elsewhere guys. There s plenty of other letting agency s out there who will treat you right and with a positive attitude always. A few times I ve had some real attitude honestly and that s the last thing a landlord will want to hear is that people are being scared away from letting their properties by bad telephone manner, organisation and customer service.
Johnathan and Hannah on the other hand are good at what they do, have always been polite and calm and managed to answer any questions I ve had with honesty and professionalism.
Just a shame really, we were really excited about this move. So happy. Now we feel under valued and to be honest just taken advantage of.
Let s hope in the future this can help us and other tenants receive better treatment and communication.

We had a rental with Justin Lloyd and they were completely pointless as we never heard from them. Not only that, but when it was time to return the keys they did not contact us. We then tried to contact them, but there was no answer so we left a message saying that we would put the keys through their letterbox and to call us back if that was an issue. We did not hear anything so we posted the keys after confirming that this would be OK with the landlady.
It turns out that they have either lost the keys or had them stolen from the premises! They have completely shirked their responsibility, will not pay for new locks, and have even failed to call the police. We are now in the process of splitting the cost of fitting the locks with the landlady, as she is at her wits end with them.
We are lodging a complaint with the management, but I have little hope of this being resolved.
I have been letting my flat through Justin Lloyd for 2 1/2 years and have had a very positive experience. They have always answered my queries swiftly, and have been excellent at organising any work to be done in a timely manner. When the tenants have changed they have worked hard to find new ones.
