What can you expect from a hotel that does not pick up the phone to service reservation problems. Make sure you ate able to contact the Hotel first before you make any reservation. This certainly does not have the means to supply that kind of service

Big hotel close to theater district with a big bold entrance. Didn t like the additional charge for amenities that I didn t use. Would prefer it just included in the price of the room. Expensive compared to other hotels in the area and I feel there are better options for less money. Rooms are quite small and the bathrooms are dark and in need of remodeling. Stayed in room 1817 the bed by the window and woke up with a dozen or so bug bites. Other person in other bed was fine. Shop around. For the price I paid I could have done better.

Great location, great hotel, great staff. However, the hotel does bill you 30$/Night extra for their "amenities" which by the way the pool is closed - indifferently and the gym is not what they promise, so this 30$/night is pretty much a way for the hotel to make their booking seems cheaper than other hotels and I don't agree with this sort of practise.

The second issue is, the hotel is very busy and has only 2 functioning elevators which are always full in the mornings, we had to take stairs from the 10th floor multiple times during our stay, I've never had to do that at any other hotel I've stayed at.

Otherwise the stay was great, the room is great, the staff are awesome, they've got a really cool "text messaging" service that welcomes you to the hotel and is pretty much a concierge in the palm of your hand, the location is fantastic and is central to everything.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here- it s in a perfect location between Central Park and Times Square with a subway stop around the corner. However, the bathroom was tiny and the staff wasn t the friendliest. Also there s only 4 elevators for the whole place and 2 were broken during our stay

After traveling from Leeds to London then flying the 7 hour 30 min flight to New York, we just wanted a smooth check in at the hotel & to get some sleep. First off they tell us they over sold the hotel and they'd need to split the group and half of us use a sister hotel, feeling absolutely exhausted we went along with it, to then switch the two groups back and forth twice before finally giving us a room in the main hotel. First of all there was no bed for the little ones. This had to be arranged, the bath leaked so none of us could even get a bath/shower. This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at world wide. Book elsewhere, they are unhelpful, slow, and unorganised is and understatement.

Probably one of the least pleasant hotel stays. I went on a business trip to New York and my company had forgot to do the payment in advance. I expected the hotel to let me check in and call my company to clear everything up. Instead they let me wait for an hour and wouldn't let me in my room before charging my personal credit card. Then they told me, if my company wouldn't cover the rest of the weeks costs my 12 of clock tomorrow someone would come knock on my door and throw me and my stuff out. There is no additional service, they couldn't even lend me an adapter for an hour, and in general I don't feel very welcome here - it's just a huge hotel with so many clients they think more of standardising then individual need. I was convinced that American hospitality is a dream in comparison to the one on Europe but I was a bit disappointed. Looking forward to changing to a hostel next week.

I would give this place one star if it wasn t for location and the nice rooms. The staff/ customer service is nonexistent. While I was checking in, the concierge didn t explain any of the amenities or fees (which is $36 plus tax PER DAY for basically them to store your luggage, free phone calls, and the usage of their lobby computers) just checked me in and told me my room won t be ready for two hours then was with the next customer. I got to my first room and the toilet didn t work so I was moved to another room. My room key wasn t working for the elevators so when I got to my room, after walking up 8 flights of stairs, and called the front desk, nobody answered (even after trying an additional 3 times). I definitely won t be staying here for my upcoming trips back to NYC.

The price was low given the location ($250 per night) That's the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. The rooms were small, filthy and in bad need of updating. Immediately after walking into the room I felt compelled to search for bedbug signs (none found). I suggest either staying a few blocks away where you can get a much better place for the same money or paying a little extra to stay somewhere else.

The bed was made with only flat sheets and a thin blanket the first night- and the flat sheets were too short to be secured properly. We woke up in a tangled mess of wrinkly sheets sleeping partially on the mattress cover. On the second night housekeeping forgot to put a blanket on the bed when they made it and we had to call the front desk to get one.calling the front desk was not an easy task as all lines were busy and the room phone doesn't call directly without typing the guest name in. Our last name was entered incorrectly and the phone system couldn't recognize us. On top of that you have to pay an additional 30/night for facilities which are limited at best. There are far better hotels and this is not worthy of the four stars it claims to have. The location is decent though- so there's something.

The hotel was very nice, in a very convenient location. The rooms were very nice, however the lighting in the bathroom was very poor. Every member of the staff that I had contact with was friendly and down to Earth. I would definitely stay there again.

If there was. ZERO Star I would have rated ZERO. Well the Elevators are a big problem. So many rooms but only 2 elevators for 10~18? R u kidding me? Also the bathroom has a bad smell cause of the Bathtub curtain. The Hotel can be better!! Last time I visited this Hotel and had good memories but his time I stayed here for 2 weeks and my family were very unhappy with everything. It is only the location that gives this Hotel a value. Except for that? Nothing!!! Do consider somewhere else till all those bad problems are solved. Not a place to stay. If it is 100 dollars then maybe. Otherwise consider a different hotel. Never go back!!!

I didn't enjoy my stay and wouldn't stay here again. My room was right next to the elevator bank and was very noisy because of this. The thermostat didn t work correctly. There is no mini fridge. Lastly and perhaps most frustrating to me, not one but two people tried to enter my room BEFORE 9am on the day before checkout, which is 12pm, I guess to try and clean the room? It is unprofessional to just try to open the door without knocking first. And don't be fooled by the nice lobby - the rooms aren't nearly as nice.

No wash cloths in my room at check-in. Some were brought but never replaced. I was there three nights and my 3rd night I didn't have any wash cloths. I shouldn't have to ask for towels everyday.

Prior to arriving, I called the consierge to enquire about comedy clubs. When I got a call back 2 days later, the comment was just to tell me where they were when I wanted an opinion as to which had better reviews. Called the manager and never got a return call. The day we arrived at 9:45 p.m. after being on the road since 6 a.m, found out they were going to put a hold on my credit card for over $200 for 7 days for amenities. What amenities, not even a coffee pot, fridge or microwave in room. They had upgraded me at a cost of $14/night but after finding out about the $200, I said I didn't want it. The room they put me in, did not air conditioning that worked and the room temp was 79 at 11 p.m! Called and it took ages for them to come and fix it. The booking was for 4 people, there were 2 face cloths. The next morning I asked the cleaning staff for 3 face cloths each of the 4 mornings we were staying. Next morning, there was one and they took out towels hanging on the back of the door even tho we wanted to keep them. The next 2 mornings, 1 face cloth again. Really! I found out from someone else, that you could request a coffee pot which I did. They guy who brought it at 9:30 p.m. did not seem happy. The air conditioner quit again the second night we were there. Had to call again. This time, the guy said the other guy did not put in a clean filter, so it was his fault. The day we departed, I called 30 minutes before so that we could get on our 10 hour drive. 70 minutes later, I went to the front desk to find out where they were. Apparently, she could not see the bellhops across from her to tell them personally instead of using the walkie talkies, that were not working and inconveniencing us for over 35 minutes to just get someone upstairs! Great customer service. Go somewhere else!

Please be aware that process of getting your deposit back should take 30 days but I have been waiting already 1,5 months and there is only words telling that its on its way. In the modern world that you can transfer money in few minutes its really courius.

Keep in in mind that there is compulsory facility fee 32 $ a day which doesn't give you any tangible advantages.

Great location. Close to Central Park and Time Square. Near many subway station enteries. Easy to walk to lots of shopping, restaurants, and cafes. Building is old, rooms show some care could be used but everything in the room I had but a desk lamp worked wonderfully. Staff checked in daily. You can request ancofee pot and extra supplies when you run out. Only thing hold the place back is aging carpet, wall trims, and my room was always too warm.

Close to everything! Times Square , Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Saks 5th Ave! Room comfortable. Staff friendly. Elevator not the greatest, but it is an old building. We took the stairs down often. We were quite happy with our stay.

Very comfortable and clean. The room was great and the bath products are lovely. My one complaint is that they only offer soy milk to add to drip coffee but they won't make a latte with a non-dairy alternative, which is a shame (and baffling) for someone who is lactose intolerant like I am.

The room is a good size but I had a lot of issues with this hotel.
1. As soon as we got there their system was down so we couldn't even check in.
2. Our hotel sheets and towels had various stains on it (which is disgusting).
3. They only have 2 elevators so we would have to wait 15 minutes just to find an empty elevator to go down from the 10th floor. It was extremely obnoxious and inconvenient. Eventually we got tired of waiting and took the stairs to get up and down which is NOT OKAY.
4. As check out time came (which is at 12 which I can't complain about) it took us 40 minutes to put our baggage in storage and on top of that they ran out of space and began putting our luggage in a hall.
Overall I wouldn't stay here again, I was NOT satisfied with my stay here especially after having to pay 3K+ for two rooms on New Years Eve weekend. I'm sure you can find somewhere else for a better price.

First time staying at the hotel and picked it based on location. Entering the hotel, service was great, from the bell hops to concierge, who really helped out out booking our tours and shows. The lobby area is really nice and their are tons of options for food around the hotel. We were only 5 blocks from Time Square which was really nice. Based on what we spend per night including what they charge to park the car each night, I did expect a little more. The hotel room was small, which I guess is typical of NY, we had 2 double beds in the room and not much more room than that. The beds were not comfortable at all and the room was very loud because you could hear everything from outside the window, you could hear all the construction, the car noise, the traffic, everything. Check out was a breeze, but no one really asked how my stay was. They had to bring the car from the parking garage and they told me 15 minutes but I felt more like 30. If your looking for location then a great place to stay

I am sure the hotel is beautiful, however we never got to see it - even though we paid ... or 3 nights!
Our flights were cancelled 2 days in a row from Canada - I do understand it was late notice to cancel the first night, however they had 24 hours notice for the 2nd night, and 48 hours notice for the 3rd night and we still have been charged in full and have received no refund or future credit. very poor poor customer service. We travel to New York 3 times a year and was hoping this would be our go to Hotel.

Solid hotel that's about a block away from Central Park. Cozy, spacious rooms (I mean, for NYC), and enjoyed the view. Concierges were all courteous and the building was clean and well-kept with an upscale feel when you walk in. When I visited, the elevators were a bit dated, but that's about it.

Professional service! Two days they had the entire house set up a dual and Tri-zone system heat pump brand Fujitsu. Josh did our work and he was amazing. I would recommend them to my neighbors.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Park Central for two nights. The location is great- it is only a few minutes from Central Park and about a 15 minute walk to Times Square. We had originally booked a premier king, but because we checked in late there were no more king rooms available. We were offered a room with two queen beds which worked out fine, and we were given a partial refund. Our room was on the 9th floor so there wasn't too much a view. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked on short (1-day) notice, got a great rate! As we checked in we got a little nervous, there were 4 buses out front offloading high school band members visiting for a music festival at Carnegie Hall, which is right across the street. We were on edge thinking we would be up all night with tubas haunting our sleep. They put us on the 11th floor in a premier room with city views, and I have never stayed in a quieter midtown room! The lounge is a little pricey ($35 for 2 manhattans), but hey, that's my only real complaint!

Clean rooms and good location. Staff not particularly friendly but no major complaints. Annoyed by some of the pricing practices. Felt a bit like a budget airline. There was a discount for booking direct that was supposed to come in the form of a refund. Never received it. Recommend booking through a 3rd party so you can get a true sense of the cost. Direct booking is smoke and mirrors. Sketchy.

From the moment you walk in, it smells like lotions and it gives you such a nice feeling and relaxing thought. The location is perfect! Walking distance to the park, subway entrances at almost feet away, and located in the center of all the great things Manhattan has to offer; I would definitely return to Park Central Hotel. The price was very reasonable and the rooms were spectacular. Very modern, A/C heater worked perfect and the bed had the perfect firmness to it. I slept extremely well on it. The hotel staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. It just doesn't get any better than this. Park Central Hotel was just plain perfect!

Great location near Central Park and times square ...

Great location near Central Park and times square at the subway. One star is removed for them stating their fitness facility is 'state-of-the-art'. It's one of the worst I've seen, including places like holiday inn Express. They need to either totally revamp, or really downplay what you're getting

Absolutely terrible.

Absolutely terrible.

For around $350 USD per night I would expect a lot more.

List of complaints includes:

- Terribly slow check in process. Reception was almost always too busy to visit.
- Unfathomably terrible elevator service. Up to 20 minute wait at times.
- Premier upgrade is a complete waste of money. All rooms have windows, and our premier view looked into some scaffolding.
- No tea or coffee in rooms. Reception had a coffee machine sent to my room, which conveniently arrived near MIDNIGHT. Did appreciate it the next morning though.
- No refrigerator in rooms - I can kind of understand this one however.
- Wifi signal did not reach our room. Hotel staff made me contact technical support to report the signal shortage. Ticket was closed a couple of days later with problem not resolved.
- Wifi internet access cost is exorbitant $15 per day, and due to above issue could not use it if I had wanted to. There is a Starbucks down stairs with free wifi. You can use this during your 15 minute wait for the elevator as the reception is strong in the lobby.
- Very late one night water started literally pouring out of the light fitting in the bathroom and woke us up. Leak in plumbing upstairs was the cause. Reported to reception, and an 'engineer' apparently fixed the issue about an hour later. This happened again a couple of days later the day we were leaving.
- Toilet was broken where joined to the floor. Rocked side to side.
- Toilet often leaked on the floor leaving a large pool of water.
- Plug in the bath tub did not work. Had to get a plumber to fix this for us.
- One of our swipe cards stopped working half way through our stay. The lines at reception are too long, so we lived with it.
- Randomly during the night something would alarm for a couple of seconds - suspected to be the fire alarm. Great wake up call if you needed to wake up panicking at around 2AM.
- Did I mention the elevators? 9 times out of 10 when the elevators did finally arrive, they were overloaded and could not fit any more people. The staff showed us the service elevators to help. These took us out the back and had to walk through a construction zone and trash room to get to the street. At one stage we were heading up in the elevator and after hearing some unsettling clunking noises, the elevator dropped about 2 floors. Stopped, and then resumed it's ascent. One of the scarier moments in my life. Everybody on board was completely terrified. Sometimes the elevator drops a couple of inches when disembarking too, which is a very serious trip hazard.
- I requested a bottle of champagne for the room when booking. I understand if this request could not be met, but there was no mention of it whatsoever. Seems like it was completely ignored.

Save yourself unneeded stress on your holiday and book somewhere else.
