Great centralized location for quick access to quote a few hotspots (Central Park, Natural History Museum, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, and the New York Public Library to name a few). Quick access to Broadway shows since Broadway street is directly behind the hotel. Quick Subway access up one street. Highly recommend!!!

Rooms are big and clean, the WiFi is strong and decently fast (around 20Mbps), the lounge is quite and cozy.
They don't have a restaurant (neither for breakfast): there is a corner inside where they sell (overpriced) food that you can eat in the lounge.

The hotel was very nice and convenient to where we wanted to be. The room was bigger than our hotel the night before and the beds were very comfortable. The elevator was a little tricky with needing to use your room key to get off at your floor. Especially if you left the room to visit other friends on a different floor.

AMAZING!!!! This hotel is beautiful inside and out. Very clean rooms and spacious. The front desk very friendly and courteous, all staff as well. Love the view of our room. We were just a few blocks away from time square and central park. Also just a few blocks away from a lot of the Broadway shows. Definitely worth the stay.

Nice clean hotel in a great location. Few draw backs: When you wake up in the morning you will get a bill under your door for some ridiculous "fee" they charge and its not cheap. Mine was $40.00 for one night stay. Also, don't bother with the coffee shop in the lobby. The prices are ridiculous, even for New York. There are great options for coffee and breakfast just outside the Lobby.

Staff was pretty rude of the multiple we ran into, but we didn't need much from them & the room was great. The lobby smelled amazing, the guests weren't disruptive, we heard NOTHING through the walls & there was a small "party" next door to us. Would absolutely stay again. Wish the staff were less abrasive :/

The room that we checked into was not only a mess,...
The room that we checked into was not only a mess, but it wasn't even cleaned. The sheets were unchanged, used drinking glasses in random areas, towels all over the ground, and there was garbage in the trash can. Also, all the soaps were previously used.
We called into the front desk on three separate occasions, only to receive three different answers. We were told that someone was going to come up IMMEDIATELY to check on the room. Nobody came, and after waiting twenty minutes, we called again and was told to come down to get new cards. Immediately after hanging, we received a call that a bell boy was going to meet us at our current room with our new keys as if they were providing us with some excellent service.
As you can expect, it didnt happen.
So we took it upon ourselves to go downstairs and to get cards to a new room. When we came downstairs, we were told that the bellboy came upstairs to give us keys 20 minutes ago. Which is either a complete lie, or the bellboy got lost in finding our room at the hotel he was working at.
All we received was an apology.
I am never coming back to this hotel again.
I thought this was going to be a good experience, ...
I thought this was going to be a good experience, the rooms were clean and the location was great. The staff was friendly but when real customer service was required everyone dropped the ball hard. The parking garage employed by Park Central seriously scratched our new car during valet. No big deal stuff happens...but when I tried to get a hold of anyone that could help compensate for the damage I was given the run around. I was put on hold for over 25min, passed around, dropped from the call and lied to for over an hour. I finally did get the number for the garage but Park Central is only interested in passing me off to someone else. I was then given a time to call to talk to the Security Director because he is the "only one" who can offer a refund. I called when I was supposed to and he had gone home for the weekend. They did not refund my room or my parking. They had the opportunity to comp a few hundred dollars and secure a great review and a life long customer but when times got tuff everyone dodged and deflected. Its been a week now and I have not been able to get a hold of anyone who is willing to even try and do the right thing. Half of guest services knows me by name at this point. All they have to do is want to help me and put the slightest effort and this would all be a different story. Its not that hard to look out for people, it's the easiest way to build brand loyalty in the service industry. You guys dropped the ball...seriously disappointed.
UPDATE.....Tried to Email Managing Director Don Fraser per his request but the email provided rejects my emails. You guys its not that hard.

Worse experience. I booked a 3 day stay and went to my room the second night a new guest was there my key card wasn t working to get In the room. I was told my room was for one day when I booked it for 3 days, it was paid for! I had no place to go I had to stay in my car. NEVER AGAIN!

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. It was beautiful and the service and staff were absolutely delightful. The hotel is in a marvelous location - walking distance to Broadway shows - Central Park - fabulous restaurants - and shopping! We had three rooms for 8 nights and our guests were equally impressed. I have a trip coming up in October and have already booked my stay at the Park Central. I have found my new "home away from home" in NYC! Thanks again for a marvelous trip! I'll see you again in October ;) !

Horrible customer service. Have left several messages with no returned calls. They charged me an additional $150 on top of my $108 resort fee of $37 dollars a night and haven t refunded me my deposit of $150. When I finally got in touch with a manager they said that $150 was for the resort fee, WHICH I ALREADY PAID. And that they transferred .48 cents back into my account. They said they would email me a detailed receipt, but of course they haven t.

I would like to thank the management and front desk for great hospitality. These people go above and beyond for customer care and service. Hotel is clean and beautiful. We had an early flight so ended up getting in way too early for check in and didn't sleep all night while flying. The staff did everything they could to try and get us an early check in, during a fully booked morning. We were in a room by 11am (with extra fee) never was I more grateful to get some rest
Room was nice clean spacious and a beautiful view.

This is the worst hotel service experience I've had period, much less at a rate of $500/night. Consistent with other reviews, the staff were grumpy and unhelpful, seeming genuinely annoyed at me when I asked simple questions. Housekeeping consistently underperformed, leaving dirty glasses and dropping off pillows with no pillow cases.
I escalated my concerns to management, where I found continuing disappoint given this hotel portrays itseld as 'upscale' and charges as such. Multiples managers failed to return phone calls, and could not even follow through on their attempts to remedy our poor housekeeping experience. The hotel bar was closed at 11:20 on Saturday night despite last call being very clearly stated for 11:45 on the hotel welcome sheet.
Unless you enjoy being made to feel unwelcome by hotel staff and dealing with incompetent managers who clearly hate their work, don't stay here.

Park Central Hotel is a place that has a lot of potencial but a lot to improve. First, when I booked my trip I bought a package that included the flight and the hotel (around 700 $ for 3 nights and for two people) and Expedia told me that I was gonna pay the taxes at the hotel, but for my surprise the hotel charged me 30 dollars and taxes for each night, also they charged me 79 to be able to check in early (at 1PM) is that early for a check in?. That means that the cost of each night was 79 more than what they say in the web page. Second, even thought the room was clean, neat, and spacious the room did not have a fridge and the bed was not king. lastly, the receptionist was not kind or helpful, she was in a bad mood and never tried to help me. Not everything is bad about this hotel it has a great location and really good subway station, also the room was always clean but for the price I am sure I can find a better Hotel. Definitely not coming back

We just got back from our 3 day stay here at the Park Central Hotel. I had nothing but great interactions and experiences with this hotel. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Our flight came in at about 8am and check-in wasn t until 4p. We came to the hotel and we re able to check our bags and we re told that we would get a text when our room was ready. It ended up being ready early which we were super appreciative of! We stayed on the 12th floor and the room was very spacious! Great view too! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for making my first trip to New York easy and not stressful!!

Historical and classic architecture made it worthwhile, staff were a bit intrusive and rude. Had someone try to open my door 30 mins after I had checked in, had to yell out that I was in there, thinking I didn't order room service. Not even an apology from front desk was issued, wouldn't stay there again, not for the price point you pay to be treated that way.

It's a nice hotel, but there were a few problems that were overlooked. Bathroom was missing shampoo and body wash. The device that held them to the wall was falling apart. Worst of all, there was a poo on the wall of the bathroom by the sink. It could have been must or chocolate, but I think it's safe to say that nothing that looks like poo should be left in the wall by housekeeping. Management was a bit mortified and offered me a drink ticket. Only for well drinks though... They should probably have given me a few more :D. Beds are super comfy. It really is a nice hotel... Buts it's expensive and there shouldn't be poo anywhere. Lol.

Hotel is nice and arguably comparably priced across Manhattan . Rooms are typical sizewise for Manhattan. Gym and public spaces especially are pretty good.
BUT.. double check the price you're quoted. There's a 40 dollar screw you fee attached to your bill per night. So if you saw that online deal at 120 per night. Remember your booking agency will add 40 bucks a night in fees and taxes for who knows what. And then the hotel will add another 40 bucks in fees on top of that. The hotel is quite upfront about this fee upon arrival. But that doesn't help if you can't cancel your booking with your agency.

My girlfriend's and I had a weekend get away and Park Central made it a weekend for us never to forget. It was 3 of us in a 2 bedroom. And I signed up for upgrade notifications and got it on our arrival. So we got the corner room on the 10th floor. Great view and very spacious for us. The staff was very polite and helpful. From planning, booking, arrival and departure they were top notch. My girlfriend's said the hotel was in prime location for tourist attractions and taking the metro. We had a great time and plan on returning soon. Thank you so much! Sincerely Golden Girlz!

Just spent 4 nights there last week. Seemed like an extremely popular location being across from Carnegie Hall. Was centrally located for our first time in NYC and we enjoyed the amenities of the neighborhood. Park Cafe across the street and Angelo's Pizza around the corner were the BEST! John in the lobby bar is a very pleasant gentleman! The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The bed was great! It was quiet and the best part was the HOT shower! I would recommend it!

Nothing can be worse with the parking area at this hotel. They need to have a bigger parking area to be able to provide parking to hotel guests. I was there last week and saw two guys having a heated argument just for a parking slot.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. I've stayed in multiple hotels in NYC throughout the years and this has been my worst experience by far.
Cons:
1. Walls are paper thin and you will hear both neighbors like they are next to you.
2. The long wait for the elevators. The card reading machine in the elevator does not read well.
3. I booked this through Hotel Tonight and was greeted with a $32.75 "resort fee" for use of the gym and bag storage which I never used.
4. It took a long time to check in. After the long wait, one of the 2 cards did not work.
5. Entrance door is super thin and flimsy
Pros:
1. Location for tourists 2

NO HEAT in the Winter. Broken TV, big tears and rips in carpet, stains all over, 4 windows equal 4 times the draft causing room to be even colder. Rude staff that love to lie, No Lounge, No Restraunt, and badly damaged furniture. This Place is terrible, however try the Dream around the corner for not much more.

I have never had a reason to make a review ever before. RUDE SERVICE ......As I walked in #parkcentral I was Greeted by a nice doorman .
When I was checking in Carol the front desk agent was so disgusting and so rude. She Yelled at me because it took me a moment to get my bags and kids together. She said it wasn't her fault I was slow and maybe I should use my brain. Later on spoke to a manager who did not seem to care for my concerns.
So I brushed it off to try to enjoy my family vacation. The room was nice and locations is prime.
Woke up love the bakery next door enjoyed my meal and headed to the Concierge for attractions/advise Spoke to Robyn. She had a horrible attitude. I was going to buy show tickets and attractions but she asked me to pay cash for and was not going to give me a receipt. She said if she does it that way she can cut me a deal. Her company was trying to have me pay $209.99. She said she can get the tickets herself and I will only pay 160. She asked for a fee of $20 for herself. She would not help me after that and said next and pushed me aside and helped other guest.
I did like the Hotel it self but the staff was RUDE and especially unhelpful concierge unless you buy anything they do not want to speak to you.

Pretty quiet hotel , staff not as nice and helpful as they should be they choose who they like to help. Rooms are nice they always clean very well and deliver clean towels right on time without you asking. The area is great very close to time square and shopping lots of eating places. Heads up if your looking to save money this place doesn't have refrigerator or microwave or coffee pot like most hotels so you have left overs or would like to eat in your room you can't.

Beautiful hotel lobby, room was nice, close to many attractions. Only complaints are the view out our window was not of the city and we had to pay a fee (no option not to) for internet, use of gym and facilities. In my opinion, you should not have to pay for some of these when you've already paid to stay there, or only have to pay if you're going to use them. It's a bad taste ending a great trip to suddenly have unexpected extra charges for something you didn't even use.

A very morden design and fixture, over all the customer service was great. Nice size bathroom and room. Had a nice view, big windows, nice size tv. However there was the smell of someone smoking marijuana in the hallway when we arrived and even after we report the smell going out for dinner. But the smell was still the same as if the person was still smoking and as if the management has done nothing.

We arrived at the hotel and there was construction being done right out the front. The customer service upon checking in was horrible with no information given. The assigned room was not what we had organised through our booking venue and when asked about it the front desk were very rude. We got no instruction on where to find our room or where anything was. Not impressed

Great location, good comfy bed, but very bad experience. On top of listed price, they take extra 40+USD for facility fee . Yes, they can charge same amount of money and I ll be feeling okay. But telling you to pay extra 40 at the desk?? Come on, you should do better.
And the reception simply gave me a word: it s ok to talk to your agency to cancel, and we are fully booked tonight.
What an attitude!!

This hotel was awesome, the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, I did not want to leave! I was very skeptic about the hotel because knowing NYC, there is a lot of bedbugs in the area. but there was no sings of bed bugs in this hotel, the sheets were also clean as could be, the hotel staff were very nice, the only minor complaint I can give is , there was no mini fridge in the room. other than that everything was perfect. it was also located a very good distance from time square and 5th ave, I had a great experience will be looking to book this hotel again in the future.
