this was a great place for our Labor day weekend in New York. Ideally situated near Central Park and the MOMA. Subway access practically at every corner. We went to the US OPEN one day and found it to be a very tolerable trip on the subway. Many delis in the immediate vicinity of the Park Central for a classic New York dining experience. Times Square was a 10 minute walk which as close enough but also far enough to be away from the craziness (if that makes sense). Definitely a do over. Only problem was waiting for the elevators.

We arrived early to use baggage check and were told our room could be ready as soon as 2pm but was guaranteed to be ready by 4pm. We returned to the hotel at 6:30pm and were told there was no room ready for us. Then we were told that the person(s) staying in the room we booked before us got sick and asked for a late checkout. That is information I do not want to know. I do not want to stay in a room where people were just sick and the cleaning staff was going to try and tidy up the room while we waited. No amount of disinfecting is going to make me feel good about that. When we expressed our displeasure with the service, Manager Dixon very unprofessionally walked away from us. When she returned, she was very rude and even shoved my wife in the hotel lobby, then began to shout at us for the entire lobby to hear, while aggressively asking her staff to back her up (as if they were her gang), while none of them did - not a single staff member agreed with her or approved of her actions. It was a very embarrassing situation for everyone. When she walked away again, the staff in the lobby had choice words to say about her, suggesting she has had problems before.

Besides that, the hotel location is great for tourists and the lobby looks very nice. We did not spend any time at this hotel besides the lobby. I cannot recommend anyone stay at this hotel while she remains on staff. We decided to stay at the Warwick hotel about 2 blocks away instead. The entire staff at the Warwick was welcoming and helpful and it was a great pleasure to stay there. And the Warwick had a room ready for us immediately.

I brought my daughter in for her 16th birthday and we had a wonderful time. The Park Central is in a perfect location, times square is within walking distance central park is a few blocks away. Everything that you could possibly want or need is all around you. The hotel had some difficulty with there computers, they in fact went down completely, but it did not stop them for setting us up in our rooms so that my 16 year old and her friends could get ready before dinner. The beds were amazing, comfortable and our rooms were, I had a King standard and my daughter had a Premier Queen Corner, beautiful, spacious and clean. Thank you to Elizabeth and the young gentlemen at the desk who got us into our rooms (I can't remember his name but he was great).

I am beyond frustrated. Have spent 3 days and endless hours in their phone loop trying to reach guest services to address a reservation issue. It's impossible. When you do get a voice, they tell you Guest Services is the only one that can help and throw you back into that loop. I will NEVER book here again.

Very clean nice hotel. Price was good on Expedia but they then tack on an additional $37 per night facility fee that makes your stay much more expensive than what you planned for. Location is great for exploring Manhattan. Overall would definitely recommend

The room was adequate for the night. My bed was super comfy! I wish it had a thicker blanket though. I paid a little extra for a city but I didn't really get much of a view, it was still well priced for what I got through. The location is also tough to beat!

Nice bed. The frequent use of the elevators resulted in noise in our room. We were able to sleep through it. Banged my knee on the mini fridge sitting on the room's hallway floor. Good hotel location.

Great location on 7th street. Walk out and you'll see Times Square. Rooms are clean and very modern. Just note there is a daily fee that covers wifi, gym, etc. Everyone has to pay it so you really can't get out of it. Other than that, had a great stay over the 4th of July week.

I booked a room for three people and when I showed up, they said that would be a room with one king bed. To get a room with two beds, they demanded an extra $100 for two nights. They also charged a $50 extra "facility fee." The room had a strong smell of mildew, and I am assuming they knew about this because when we arrived, the two windows were open to air it out. The elevators were small and slow, with some long waits. I would rate this hotel in the bottom five percent of all the hotels I've ever stayed in and would never stay there again, given the many other options in NYC with better customer service.

I came to this hotel this past April to perform in Carnegie Hall. I stayed in room 621 and expected the room to be a little bigger judging by the size of the hotel. My favorite features about this hotel was the Starbucks across the street and the view of the random guy's apartment across the street. The staff was also friendly. Carnegie Hall was kinda anticlimactic though...

A great hotel with a lot to offer. I can complain only about the poor lighting in the room but the beds are extraordinary and the lobby is beautifull. The breakfast that is included in the bundle is very inconsistent but it's a good hotel nonetheless.

From the moment me and my boyfriend pulled up to the front of the hotel, we were guided by the bellhop and was provided a luggage cart, handed a parking stub for our car. Told us that we have 15 to 20 minutes to settle and either go back to the car or have it be parked for 24 hrs from the time we check in to the same time the next day. We were astonished by this and asked multiple employees of the hotel to be sure that we could leave our car there overnight. Next day, we check out of the hotel in an hour early but had to wait 40 mins for bellhop to take our luggage and store it. We tried to call the concierge multiple times from our hotel room but each time we were calling it had a busy tone & wouldnt connect. Only when we had to dial the hotel number manually we were able to get a hold of a customer service representative. we had to call twice to remind them that we needed a bellhop to have a luggage cart. A few hours later we come back for our luggage and confirm our check out and to retrieve our car from the lot. The lady employee then told us we owed $75 for parking our car in that lot. We explained to her that we were never quoted any price. We told the manager that we understand there is always a parking fee, but though parking was included at the hotel. If we had known this we would have taken the train and walked. Even after telling the manager that we had no knowledge, he doesn't offer any discount or future voucher. All they care about is money not the customers.

We travel to NYC quite a bit. This was our first time at this hotel and it will be our returning hotel every time.
It is close to the park as well as a subway entry to get around the city. It s also a close walk to broadway and great restaurants and time square.
Highly suggest the hotel for the area.
The staff is helpful and went out of their way.
The room is a great size for New York as well.

Great location great staff. If it's your first time to NYC this is a great starting point for seeing the city. It's near Central Park, times square, Rockefeller center Grand Central terminal radio City music Hall Broadway all in walking distance

It was a typical hotel room very nice shower with above shower head and additional detachable head/nozzle. Quiet, my room had terrible cell service but WiFi still worked great. Friendly staff and prime location not to far from time square but far enough to be a little quieter and enjoy upscale shopping

Hotel was beautiful, especially lobby and bar/ lounge areas. Room was well kempt and clean. The bed was best described as the closest experience I will ever have to sleeping on a cloud. However, noise level at night was atrocious; neither myself or my husband slept well due to obnoxious nearby elevator "pings" and loud guests in adjacent rooms (with poor insulation or soundproofing). We understand that noise from traffic is inescapable in the city... so we expected some of that in the AM. Staff was courteous and friendly. Overall, I would give it a 3/5. I likely would have given a 4/5, or even 5/5, if I wasn't in such a sleep-deprived cranky state.

Have stayed here before and was saddened to see the condition of the hotel. Our sink and bathtub would not drain. Only one elevator worked on each side of the lobby. You had to use the service elevators if you weren't checking in or out with luggage. The last time we stayed here the elevators didn't work either. I don't think they care that you have to wait 15-20 minutes or longer for service. Room was clean and air conditioning worked well. We won't be back again!

Pros- location is good, friendly staff and good value Cons- very poor room service. Did not have couple things we wanted therefore the facility fees becomes useless unless you go to the gym.

The curious thing about the low reviews is the constant management apology. No action. It s as though they are completely ok with the shortcomings.

Great location but too little value for the cost. Would be great if a hotel focused on the customer experience took over the space.

The bed is absolutely wonderful (they have sheets, not just a comforter!) however the staff were not friendly or slightly interested in the guests. No mention of the eateries located within, check-out time, concierge services....nothing. Literally she asked my name, gave me my room key and pointed me to the elevators. The rooms are quite bland. A Hampton Inn in rural SC is better than here. Shower curtains don't close all the way so the floor gets flooded, water pressure is non-existent, and there are no pamphlets or info cards anywhere. Usually there is a menu for room service, a TV instruction card, or other items about the area. This had nothing but peeling wallpaper. I was very disappointed for the price and seeing how this was a work trip I'll be sure to mark this off the list for my monthly visits. My two stars are purely for the bed, zero on everything else.

Our hotel stay was almost perfect - except for our terrible parking experience. There's no available parking anywhere near the hotel. I tried lining up for the nearest parking are available but it took me 2 hours and I wasn't able to still get the entrance. I availed the expensive valet parking and when I got my car, there are scratches that weren't there before.

booked from Bor2Run (package for AU NYC Half Marathon) from Italy, this big hotel is located in a strategic position down in Manhattan, near Central Park. Big rooms but not but old fashioned ('80 style). Fast breakfast to eat on the table of the lobby not so amazing.

It started off pleasant. Then three nights in, two guys checked into the room across from us and started blazing up. The smell of weed and cigarettes both came into our room. I called downstairs twice and went down once and nothing was done. Had to go buy medicine because the smell was making me sick. I did not enjoy paying almost $200 a night for nothing to be done about it. They had security knock on their door and then as he walks away the two men poked their heads out and then shut the door. My girlfriend and I were unable to sleep even later in the night due to the guys in this room puking the rest of the night. Ruined our entire day because instead of exploring the city we were catching up on sleep. Management was unwilling to do anything and very unsympathetic. I m not surprised because I found very few places in the city with quality guest service. Also, there s nothing unique about this hotel that would separate it from others, so I would recommend giving others a try.

Good points: Super-convenient location. Very helpful & friendly staff at front desk, luggage storage, and at the bar. Loved the art-deco style lounge (great for photo ops). Note: only small appies (no meals) available at the bar; the charcuterie board was nice, just too bad it doesn t come with cheese. It s really nice that guests are eligible to receive a discount at Fancy Apple. Bad points: the room was pretty dated and looked nothing like the VRBO picture. The bathroom had absolutely gross stains on the walls surrounding the vanity. We mentioned this to front desk, but when we returned, it looked like cleaning staff did a half-hearted job on it. Also, I m fine with calling downstairs for a coffee maker and mini fridge, but I had to call them a total of 3 times thru the evening. Overall, it was suitable, but, personally, we will not be staying here again.

The room, location, staff could not be better. I was pleasantly surprised with the entire stay. I have one complaint, that is they do not provide an itemized bill upon checkout, only a bill for the facilities fees. Why is that? They said it would be emailed, never received it, and when i called the account dept I get a recording and says they will respond within 24 hours, well it has been a week and still nothing......

Room was dirty, contact lens on bathroom floor, hair on bed, bathroom floor and bathroom counter. Small room and bathroom is the size of a closet. Friendly staff, great location, but no where near worth the cost.

If anybody out there is searching for deals for hotels go over to . reserved a hotel room on there and these guys had the best rates just about anywhere!

Great job with Covid protocols. We stayed there over labor day weekend and I felt totally safe. Staff was very friendly. Great signage for everyone to stay 6 ft apart. Tons of outdoor activities to do in NYC.

Not to be cliche but " OMG!". Every New Yorker knows that hotel rooms in NYC are over priced and unbelievably small. Not my room at The Park Central.

This place was beautiful, clean, and very spacious. Even the bathroom was above average size (it probably could have passed as the sleeping quarters in some smaller hotels). I was beyond pleasantly surprised.

My only criticism is there is no room service (although not unheard of). Your only means of quick breakfast coffee and eats was to buy it downstairs in the lobby. That was an inconvenience. Other than that the place was amazing.

Not a pleasant New York experience. Staff are exceedingly rude. They don't provide help when you need it, but they're very quick to jump down your throat when you do something as devastating as change shoes in their lounge area. On check out day we were locked out of our rooms before check-out time and were treated like criminals, told by a housekeeping manager that security would have to come let us in as he walked up and down the hallway very self-importantly. With so many hotels in NYC to choose from at the same price point as this one, I have no idea how this place stays in business. Abysmal, the worst part of our trip.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to Central Park, a great grocery- Morton Williams Supermarket, and close to the metro. The room and bathroom was a nice size, especially for NYC. The bed was extremely comfortable with a down comforter. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

Hotel was clean and the staff was accommodating. The room was well kept but I did notice damp scent in the air. (not sure if they'd just washed the carpet.)Be prepared to pay an additional $40when you check out (administration fee plus taxes). Its not just this hotel that does it so I can't blame them alone but it feels a bit shady to me. Other than that the hotel was as advertised. I would stay there again.

My Wife and I stayed here while taking in the sites and waiting to watch the US Open. The hotel room was very modern and spacious. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. A bonus was that it was central to all our traveling needs. My only issues were the elevator situation and lack of a good restaurant in the hotel. I would definitely return here.

worse experienced.

1. House keeping knocked very strongly and opened door to ask their jobs done twice even when it was 7 and 8am. That was an insane.
NO customer oriented service.

2. Facility fee about 100 USD was charged afterward. You should recognize you need to pay much more than you see.

Location is nice.

I had remarkable stay! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a high quality hotel in NYC. The service was nothing less than excellent and the staff was very accommodating. Clean room, polite staff, exemplary experience!

Absolutely horrible experience. The check-in took almost an hour because the lady at the desk, could not figure out what to do. She got very frustrated with me and she spit a lot when she talked. Also, she smelled like cigarettes. When we finally got up to our room, the door knob was jammed and we were locked out. It took a good twenty minutes to get someone up to help and it took another half hour to fix it. When we finally got into the room the bed had a whole wad of hair on it. In the bathroom, there was a damp towel on the rack and the sink had all toothpaste smeared in it. Also I'm not sure who, but someone had stuffed a Mickey Mouse plushie in the toilet, making it impossible to flush. The television was fuzzy and got a horrible signal. The gym was awful and almost all of the treadmills and elliptical machines were out of order. The weights were a mess and scattered across the floor. In the middle of the night, the maids came in rolling their loud carts and were chatting right outside our door. There wasn't a pool wich was a major letdown for the kids. The elevators were slow and took a while. We had to resort to the stairs and my knees are weak. I don't recommend.

This hotel grossly mishandled my luggage they LOST my very expensive belongings. SHOCKINGLY, they have not followed up or gotten back to me in a week since I made my claim. The head of their security office s mail inbox is too full to receive emails. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The hotel itself was nice, as was the room. The bed sheets appeared to be washed but had some bad stains on them. Enjoyed our stay overall and the location was great. Housekeeping should pay more attention to detail though.

Rooms are decent - but customer service at check in and check out is terrible. Moreover, elevators are too few in relation to room number and there s no restaurant. If you add overcrowding due to tourists in the area ... in a nutshell, I will not go back to this hotel
