The rooms were nice! The outside community not what I expected could be a little more nicer and cleaner. Lost our phone at the pool before it closed the gentleman that made sure everyone was gone was not friendly. When trying to track the phone it was 20 min away from our resort... Still never got our phone unfortunately karma will get you. If you find something turn it in... Wouldn't go back do to this issue.

Overall I had a good time. I thought the restaurants were a little too pricey for what you got and they closed too early to be convenient. However, I had fun renting a boat and walking along the quiet beaches. The beds were like sleeping on cement slabs and the rooms show their age so I think with the fees are a little higher than the resort was worth. For as much as we spent I think we will probably look for a little nicer spot next time.I have to say the island was beautiful though.

Resort and parking Fees are a rip off! $38 PER DAY to park your vehicle yourself! $32 resort fee! For the use of pool and hottub?!
Worst part is understaffed coffee shop. You get to wait in line on average of 30 minutes while one overworked barista tries to make coffees for the whole resort.

We just went to look around. We climbed the observation tower and walked around the public areas. It's a very nice area to walk around and relax. There are many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Great views. Been there 2 times. Once for a conference and once for an evening graduation program. The service was pretty good. The food during our conference in the day time was much better. The breakfast and lunch were delicious, along with our snacks. There were so many delicious options with a buffet like style. The dinner was not good at all. Chicken and steak were both overcooked and dry. Dessert was only average. Liquor for mixed drinks were high quality though. The passed appetizers were also very good.

Stayed for one night and we had a nice experience. The rooms are nice and updated on the inside, could use some work on the exterior as they were built in the 60s and are showing some age. They're all little individual bungalows, some with bay views, other with garden views. We were staying with some other families and requested to be near them, but ended up on the other side of the island. Not a big deal since I know room inventory can be tricky to manage. But it made it tough because it was a bit too far to walk, and there's no guest parking near other units. You have to park at the center hub area if you're visiting a different room. As I'm writing this I'm realizing it's a petty complaint, but it was just something we noticed. Overall we had a nice experience.

Terrible service. Check in time was 4pm. Bungalow was not ready, front desk could not give timeframe for when room would be available (as of 4:40pm, still not ready). Would give zero stars if available.

My daughter who was at a in diabetic conference there was registered at another hotel that turned out to be a disgusting place. She went to see if you had a room for just one night, as myself and her daughter were joining her, was told that wasn't possible, but a manager asked to come back in and gave her a room and discount too. Lovely grounds, friendly, courteous staff, can't say enough good things. Thank you for the great experience.

The beach is terrible. The room service food is very low quality, and our TV was broken, but they did manage to fix it with in 30 minutes or so. In addition, the resort really doesn't look nice at all. We were booked for 5 nights, but moved to another hotel after 1.

Friendly and helpful service (I appreciated the cart service to take you from place to place). Clean, comfortable time. Plenty of things to do and a nice beach area. I would have liked better internet access to do remote work while in a business trip.

I am totally stunned how anyone could give Paradise Resort a negative review. We discovered PR when attending a attending my cousins destination wedding on property. It was love at first site.
We have been back 3 times over the last year and a half. We also went to Hawaii for two weeks during that time and stayed in an ocean front condo for one week and a 5 star resort for another week and I have to say that Paradise Point was a far better experience. The bungalow style single story units are nestled into lush sprawling grounds. The view from the bay front bungalows is fantastic. The property is extremely well cared for but still maintains the feeling of the tropics.
If you are looking for hermetically sealed cookie cutter generic hotel stay where you get the choice of multi level parking or a team of valet parkers only to be forced into elevator banks for walks down long hallways to the "north tower"......If vacation means that you are accosted by uniformed staff looming over you then this may not be your cup on tea. That is what Hiltons are for!
Furthermore I have seen reviews about dirty smelly rooms. Again I disagree, rarely do you find such a nicely appointed and updated rooms in a family resort. The air-conditioners can smell a little "tropical" upon arrival but I assure you that I have been to plush resorts in the Caribbean and other tropical destinations this is just the byproduct of a lush verdant topography. You get used to it very quickly.
I hesitate to recommend the Paradise Resort so strongly lest we have difficulty booking our frequent stays as this has become our go-to-family-vacation-spot!!!

Wonderful bungalows right on the San Diego Bay close to Mission Beach and Sea World. The rooms are nicely appointed and the bathrooms are a decent size. But you won't spend much time in the rooms at this wonderful location. There are beach chairs outside of each room and fire pits on the beach, which you can reserve. There is a pool for all guests and a main lobby with event rooms. The property is big, but they have golf carts in which employees can give you a ride. If you get the chance, you definitely need to stay here and enjoy this great resort.

Paradise in the city! Great quiet, alternative place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, though with easy access to the airport, Mission Beach, Sea World and Downtown San Diego. The beautifully landscaped setting, surrounded by beaches and water along with the friendly staff, seems more naturally appealing than the grand hotels in Downtown San Diego.

The staff was very friendly and always smiling. I had a problem with an outlet and within 10 minutes they were there to fix it! It shows how they care about their guests. I attended a wedding on site....It was AMAZING!!! Beautiful!! The food was 10!!! Can't wait to go back again!!!

Paradise point is absolutely amazing. I have been coming here for close to 20 years and its always an incredible time. The resort is not only beautifully landscaped and sits on its own island. You get your own private grass and beach area with The bay front rooms. Bring your boat, watercraft, kayak, or any other toys right up to your beach area. They also rent any water toys needed.

After running the Encinitas Half, I was in need of some relaxation and wanted to do it at an actual day spa with my mom instead of your typical in and out massage places since I wanted to hang out in a sauna room as well.

Since we hadn't planned on this ahead of time, we went with whatever time the spa had available - I'd recommend making reservations ahead of time so you have more flexibility with scheduling. Luckily they had a time slot that gave us enough time to go home and shower before heading over.

When we got to the spa, we went to the reception area, where the receptionist gave my mom and I a quick tour of the relaxation room and locker room area. The relaxation room had ~5 comfy chairs and was stocked with tea, water, and fruit. The locker room had a dry sauna, wet sauna, aromatherapy showers, and plentiful showers. There was also shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryers, and an assortment of other toiletries. After our tour, we were given a few minutes to change into our robes and headed to the relaxation room to wait for our therapists.

Blissful Stone Massage (80 mins). After this massage, I feel like all of the places that I had gotten a hot stone massage from had lied to me. This was the best hot stone massage I've ever gotten in my life and was well worth the $240 (automatic 20% gratuity on top of base price of $200). Not only were the stones plentiful and piping hot, my therapist really got to know where my pain points are and integrated some sports therapy methods with the hot stones, which was absolutely amazing. This was literally the best massage I've ever gotten, and I've been to a handful of places.

After our massages, my mom and I hung out in the relaxation room for a bit so I could get some tea. Since there wasn't anyone else there, we were able to talk for a bit. After someone else arrived, we went to the locker room and relaxed in the wet sauna. It was a little confusing on how to use the sauna, but I finally got the dial in the right timing position for some steam to come out. The aromatherapy showers weren't much different from other showers, so I'm not sure where the aromatherapy comes from, but the shampoo and conditioner smelled good. Note that there are no curling irons, only hair dryers, which is a little odd for a day spa, but my mom made it work with just a hair dryer.

Upon check out, my therapist recommended a few products for me, so I opted to get the heating pad, massage oil, and muscle spray. I look forward to using these at home - they smelled so good at the spa! Overall, I would definitely come back for a hot stone massage - this isn't the best day spa I've been to (some other spas have more amenities), but I am more than happy to pay what I did for my massage, which is the most important part about going to the spa.

Beautiful Resort except they Charge you $35/day to PARK!!!!! Another $35 per/day as a resort fee!!!! Rooms are clean and nice. 3 pools on premises. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Located in the beautiful Mission Bay Area. Another downer is this Resort lacks adequate lighting. We arrived at night and had a very difficult time locating our room

Loved our stay at Paradise Point Resort. Their wheelchair accessible rooms are the best we have ever found. We loved everything about this resort. I don't know why anyone would want to stay anywhere else.

They gave us the wrong room and told us they upgraded us to a single king bed room when we needed 2 Queens, suggested we were "down grading" by taking the 2 queen bed room. On site restaurants 2 aren't bad, but Tidal is not very good, rooms are updated, but you can tell the buildings are older, showers could use some fixing. The island has some great views, and it's easy to walk around if the golf carts aren't available (golf carts are shuttled by employees for guests). It's been a good trip, but I'm glad it was short.

We paid over $600/night and the room was disgusting. Walking from the bed to the bathroom, our feet are black with soot. There s sand all over the clean sheets, and the in-room safe is broken where the prior guest left a pack of cigarettes, matches, and a small plastic baggie with white residue in it. We are charged $20/night extra for a rolllaway bed which is actually an air mattress which deflates every 45 minutes and has to be reinflated with a loud vacuum in the middle of the night multiple times. Nobody answers the phone, staff doesn t care. Do not go here! Go camping instead! Never going back here again, unless we find out it is taken over by professional management. It almost seemed like there was no management at all here.

Beautiful atmosphere with island them. Professional helpful staff. Only one road to getting in and out, so if there are accident or road construction, it will take loooong time to getting in and out.

Booked a room by the water. It was a nice room and beautifully located. The pools were lacking to me though. No food and beverage service and no life guard. The main pool was closed during our stay though so I can not say if this is usual. Also, we were pretty annoyed when we got there to see they were setting up a dinner party on the beach just 5 steps from our patio. We asked to move since we planned on being out there and relaxing for most of the night. They said they were unable to but sent us a smores kit to make up for it. It was awkward to have them right there.

This is a hidden gem that anyone visiting San Diego should enjoy. From the food, to the location, down to the bungalows, this property offers it all. Located right on the bay, you can enjoy everything San Diego has to offer without having to fight the business of downtown.

The resort is quite the destination. I stayed for a few days for a work conference. The staff were very polite and the accommodations were very nice. Most rooms are free standing buildings, which was very interesting. Most of the catered food provided for the conference was very good (except for the gelatinous quiche). The restaurants on site are decent- the pizza place is probably the best value for your money. If you want to feel like you're in a tropical getaway for a few days it's a good destination.

So so very run down. The fridge is hot, so you can cook in it I guess... the wood on the cabinets is rotting literally rotting away, and if you call to complain about them putting you on an ADA room, they literally tell you tough, even though you booked a month ago and it clearly isn t at capacity. Don t risk it. Stay away! Sadly we are here three more days......

I was here for a conference for two nights. I am ...

I was here for a conference for two nights. I am giving one star due to their deceiving promotion on website, DIRTY bathroom, lack of amenities, noisy wall mount A/C and bathroom fans. Also, the resort is very cheap looking once you step away from the main facilities. The landscape is none and there were maintenance carts visible everywhere throughout the facilities. Nothing there really felt like "Paradise" except for the pretty water view.

Bathroom: hair in the tub. Soap scum on the tub. The shower head was rusty and had mineral deposit caked on. Shower curtain smelled bad. Awful.

Room: no central A/C nor a refrigerator.

Promo: I booked the room using online promo of 20% off and $20 gift shop credit but they had no record of it when I tried to use the gift shop credit. If you book your a room using promo, make sure to have that in writing in your confirmation.

PS: They are so cheap with amenities---they put wall mount shared shampoo/conditioner bottles. They were super diluted too. Who wants to share amenities with other guests. This is a hotel! Unbelievable.

Staff: I had a couple of really nice ones and one horrible and one OK. A Bell boy in blue polo shirts named Cris was very rude. When I requested a lift to another facility he kept increasing the wait time and when I told him that the front desk said he was supposed to give me a ride. Then he suggested I should walk. When I said I had two languages and was wearing high heals, he replied to me "it is only two minute walk".

I would not have complained it it were $120/night hotel. Paying over $300/night for a motel quality room and service really upset me at the end.

So, let me explain my rating. This place is beautiful, no question. These are not your typical hotel rooms, they are more like little bungalows, which is great. Several pools, nice pathways, beautiful views, but not from all rooms. Here is why they only get a 3 out of 5. Check in time is 4PM, yet I did not get my room until around 5PM, leaving me to sit around waiting. Then, I arrive at my room and the back door faces the main street with very loud traffic. The parking spot we had assigned was partially blocked by some portable ticket booth looking structure being stored there for some reason. It made it much more difficult to get in and out of the spot, but it was possible. Should it really be that hard for these prices? I addressed the parking situation with the manager, but no resolution. I was disappointed overall based on my circumstances, room location and parking situation. I'm certain other rooms would be much better.

The people were very nice. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms look very run down. I have stayed there several times and the rooms have not been kept up as one would expect for such a nice location. The weather ruined my trip so we decided to check out a day early which was Christmas day. Since I checked out 75 minutes late, I was charged the full price for that night even though the room was available to be rented by another party. I thought that was a poor way to treat a repeat customer that was already having a difficult time due to inclement weather. We were going to book for the summer but since we were charged for the night we did not stay, we will find another place to vacation. The staff said there will be new owners soon. They said the Jimmy Buffet group is coming.

I visited friends that were staying and stayed one night there with them. The resort was beautiful but did not include free breakfast and for the same price a person could get a very nice hotel room with similar amenities and free food/coffee.

I ve stayed here every summer for the last 6 years because it is a unique location and beautiful landscaping. This year was a deal breaker. We finally stayed on the bayside. There have been large parties and illegal campfires every night behind our room. The room has been filled with smoke and noisy every night. Also the floors and showers are dirty and the porch light is so bright it s uncomfortable for sleeping. The staff seems concerned about the issues but has not actually addressed or fixed the problems despite numerous calls. We definitely won t be staying here again.

Stayed there for 4 days this week. What i did like...

Stayed there for 4 days this week. What i did like, close to the beach, plenty of pools and if you mainly want to just go out in the city and explore it s a good location close to everything. We stayed in the garden room and it was newly updated, very nice and comfortable. What i didn t like, no greeting when i first arrived just got glared at like i was out of place finally when i did get help, if was from a lady with a thick accent at the main lobby and her name i believe started with an A. I glanced at the name tag because the lack of customer service. I work in customer service and expect to be treated right when i go somewhere. I didn t like how she didn t ask why i was there, where i traveled from, no hospitality or anything, she was basically there to give a half grin and check me into my room as quick as possible. The customer service at the front desk with her needs to be gone over, it s not acceptable for someone to travel 8 hours for vacation and get greated by a less than friendly staff member right when we get to the property on our HONEYMOON at that! That sets the tone for the whole vacation, maybe the front desk staff needs more training or just better attitudes and personalities. Another thing i didn t like was i ordered a pizza from the Caveman restaurant and they wouldn t just let me pay them cash, the front desk basically told me i had to charge it to my room and the end result was one pizza for $47. The pizza i ordered was $30 with a tip, which was already high and then i look at my bank statement and they charged $47 for extra fees associated with charging the room when i specifically wanted to pay cash because i had a feeling that was gonna happen, and that $47 was not on my checkout list only the $30.52 for the pizza but then they add fees on top that. That isn t right! If someone outside the island wanted to order a pizza and pay cash that wouldn t be a problem but because your staying at the resort it s extra. If you want to be alone at night in the adult pool hot tub or any other hot tub good luck! Every single night there were people fooling around in them, sucks when you can t even go sit beside someone in a hot tub because you feel uncomfortable just walking up and breaking up someone s make out session. For the price you pay to stay here and the resort fees for using the pools you would think a staff member would be out monitoring until they close at 10pm so everyone is able to use the pools and hot tubs without feeling uncomfortable, i shouldn t have to go up to someone on my vacation and tell them to stop messing around in the hot tub so others feel comfortable using it too, a staff memeber should do that. Other vacationers had no compassion either, if you think they will see you and try to hurry up that won t happen, they will stay in until the area closes which i get it, they are on vacation and the resort can t control others actions but you can monitor and let every person have a turn. Just having someone out there watching would stop people from being so frisky in there since this is a family environment where children can swim until 10pm also. It s a nice place to stay, the greenery is gorgeous, the rooms are nice but the resort as a whole is lacking in areas and needs to clean up the customer service. The nicest person we met was the person who delivered the pizza to our room, that s pretty sad. If i had to do this over would i stay here, most likely not. There are other nice hotels in the area that don t charge a fee for everything and I m sure would make you feel more welcome. For the price you pay, not worth it. Go stay at the Hilton, it s close to beaches and city i ve never got disappointed ever staying in one of their hotels. Wanted to do it up a little for our honeymoon, but this wasn t the place to do it. Don t make the same mistake we did. Since i have a layover at the airport i had plenty of time to write a detailed review. Hope this helps the next potential guest.

The room was dirty, dust everywhere, stained bathroom floor and dirty kitchen being. Also in the bathroom in a place by the sea, Chinese waits to find a shower and instead there is a tub from the 60s with a curtain that does not close. There were no bathrobes and there are no shower samples. On the other hand, there are many towels of different sizes.
There were no tables in the bungalow's outdoor area.
For 4 days of sofgiornabniamo spent 300 dollars between parking (34 dollars a day) and night tax (24 dollars a day) of the hotel! A real steal! The wi fi works little and badly.
It is not worth going to Lampedusa in a place of the kind, look elsewhere that surely the prices will be more affordable and the.service.better!

Best experience at a hotel I've ever had. Being able to open your patio door and be on the beach is the best ever. I love that the hotel is all one floor no stackables. If you stay there you must get a bayside room. theres bikes to rent or minature golf or just hang out at the beach all day and your only minutes away from sea world. you will never stay anywhere else in san diego once you stay here.
