Beautiful resort with apartment style housing on an island/peninsula with private beaches and ponds. Stunning San Diego sunrises abound.
Love this place for staycation and everything is conveniently close, as anywhere, when it comes to customer service, you have your non helpful people, but there's the one person that makes up for it. It's luck of the draw so hopefully u encounter that good person
This was a great resort with tons to do. Great room, lanai premium king, was perfect for our romantic get away. Everything is very pricey, water bottle 4 bucks, so bring a lot of snacks and drinks, even alcohol. The food is upscale and worth the money. Make reservations for everything by everything books up. Great boat rental prices.
Our first time here at Paradises Point Resort & Spa and for sure it definitely won't be our last! The kids love it here there are just so many activities to do and our 3 days stay just seem not not give us the time to do everything we want to do! Staff are amazing at accommodating our needs and always go above and beyond. I'm planning to book a huge extended family vacation trip for our big family for next summer already here at Paradise Point Resort & Spa!
Wonderful place! Beautiful scenery and amazing staff. Not to far from the city.
Hung out with family that has a room there good time
Drinks at the Barefoot Bar were overly sweet, but parking was easy and the staff was attentive.
Horrible, Horrible, HORRBLE SERVICE! DO NOT STAY HERE. Will never stay here again. The worst hospitality and to top it off on Christmas weekend. The management and employees need serious training. What a bad experience. Do NOT STAY HERE.
Really bad reception and in room service. I had to wait 2 hours for a simple pizza.. which eventually was replaced with a sandwich just to save the day. Then anything I asked for to the reception, the first answer was no.. Also, the fridge in the room is empty and water in the room costs 4 USD per bottle, after you consume the first 2 complimentary bottles.
The rooms are nice, the landscaping is exceptional and the staff is friendly. Overall I had a great time and have no regrets about staying here.
Second time we come here Amazing place the pools are wonderful and the beach is amazing make sure you catch a sunset.
Nice grounds! However the beds are aweful for someone with a bad back like myself. My arm and leg went numb multiple times at night making me switch positions. Oh and the bed makes springy noises with every move. Needless to say very tired the next day. Not looking forward to sleeping here again tonight. The last thing you need is a terrible bed in a hotel when away from home.
Staff is friendly. Catering was pretty good. Rooms are a little old and could use a deep cleaning, but otherwise great.
Way over priced for what it is. We book a room with a view, it was priced a little
Higher. the add said it would be beach front so we went with it. We didn t have a room with a view and were still charged more.
The rooms were ok but our water was cold the first day and they had to fix the boiler.
Also no one answers the phone most the time when you call first services.
Someone broke the back door of room, and stole our backpack iPad all passports and two wallets inside) just one hour after we check in. Very disappointed and terrible experience.
This hotel advertises a beautiful resort with exquisite suites. In reality the grounds are quite nice but the rooms are Small dirty Motel 6 quality dated brick buildings with paper thin walls, but it s awesome to hear every word of your neighbor s conversation at 5AM. The service is average at best. I was charged $800 per night for what I thought was a 5 star suite. When I asked for even 1/2 my money back they refused. I will never stay here again.
Since posting this review I have been contacted by management twice. Believe me stay away from this place, they care about their ratings more than their customers.
First time here, family and friends have stayed here with no complaints. But this day was not so good. It feels like you're sleeping with your next door neighbor has the walls are paper-thin. Also you have to be very very cautious about ants. after the first night we woke up to happy infested with ants in the room. He took care of it but still they came back the next day.
Really cool place so far. The only thing is I'm hanging out with my 9 year old at the pool all day while my wife is at work but there are no outside beverages allowed and only a soda vending machine in there. I planned on hanging out having some drinks, some lunch etc but no bar restaurant or servers at the pool. I'm used to just lounging and getting drinks and food delivered to my spot. At least most pools are like that. So its go to the pool for minimal time. Then you have to get a cab to go to town for lunch and drinks and somewhere to hang out. That or spend $75 on breakfast and more on lunch every day. I only brought $400 so I cant even afford breakfast every day for the week we are here. Even going to McDonalds costs $30 to get there and back. It's a nice place but there is nothing around unless u take a cab and even then its several cabs several times a day unless you want to stay in town all day or stay at the room all day, which u really cant do unless you dont eat or drink on vacation.
From cockroaches in the room, to an unwillingness to accept responsibility, this place is the "Palace of Apologies". They will have issues as they are dealing with a lack of training, as well as inattentive staff, but if you complain you'll notice they've become professional apologizers. One thing they do really well here is apologize for everything. Another expert thing they do is scapegoating. during our stay we heard nothing but excuses about how they were at maximum capacity and that all the problems I was experiencing was because they can't handle the load. I'm a guest why should I be lowering my expectations because you want to make more money? You understaff, and overbook, and then you ask me to understand while apologizing? I'm sorry if you want to make more money then provide more service.
Location is great. Close to airport and downtown. The downside is food. We re used to having plenty of food options at such large resorts especially for breakfast with buffets. At Paradise there are 2 and there is a wait for tables! Not good for those who haven t hired a car to venture out and rooms are not self contained.
Love this place! Paradise point is such a cute little resort right next to the bay. I would highly recommend this resort for people visiting the area and also for people who just need a staycation! There are 2 or 3 pools in the resort which is really nice and the rooms themselves are super nice. One activity I recommend while being there is to rent a paddle board or kayak at their rental place and then go to the bay. And if you have tweens or teens I also recommend renting the 4 seater bikes. Great place to just get off your phone and have fun. Pricing is not the cheapest, but it is a great experience so I would highly recommend.
Attended for Gala event. Parking was easy, good facilities.
Stayed here for the first time... I enjoyed the vibe with the "hut" style arrangements around the resort... I enjoyed also the quick access to anything San Diego. My 9yr old loved the pools and easy beach access to mission bay. I will also recommend taking an Uber over to The Mission restaurant at mission Beach for an amazing breakfast if you are staying here...
Quiet and private place to stay with a private beach, restaurants on site, and lots of amenities. It is more bungalow, cabana style than hotel which is fun and different. Updated rooms that are clean. It is in a somewhat secluded place if you want to go to downtown or restaurants, so that is the only negative that you have to drive. Fun for families or couples.
The grounds are beautiful with many interesting places to explore. Restaurants on site are good but also pricey. Rooms are somewhat dated but comfortable.
Late checking in, had to have them hold my bags. The resort itself is gorgeous. Great service
Service is mediocre for this type of Resort. You can find much better amenities and friendlier service at the Hyatt, for a similar price.
Barefoot Bar and Grill in the pizza place on the resort are wonderful. Friendly service there. The grounds are beautiful. The views are beautiful.
Beautiful Secluded Resort definitely a much for you next staycation or weekend out of town.
Pools are awesome. But during the busy season, the Barefoot Bar isnt big enough to handle the customer base.
great service and amazing and professional staff. everything was clean
Great hotel if you are staying near the Mission Bay area. Great air conditioning in the room and the room has a very spacious bathroom. Would definitely recommend
Nice resort, lots of families and children running around. The rooms were freshly renovated, but the resort shows it's age. The rooms occasionally had the smell of sewage. Complained to the front desk about the smell, they sent some staff to the room a few hours later we returned, wasn't as bad.
