We rented a bungalow on the beach and it was amazing. The service was excellent, the room was immaculate and the beach was beautiful.

We hated the hotel and resort because in the room, there were ants. To follow along with that, there was still a whole bunch of sand all over the place. The real reason I'm writing this is because at the resort we got ROBBED. We left our backpack in the car, at night a thief broke into the car and took everything. Inside the backpack was my phone, wallet, $500 worth of cash, and our BEATS pill. When we told the workers they said they didn't have any cameras to see (bad security). The thief attempted to use my VISA business card at 5:00am that night. All in all I had a bad experience with Paradise Point Resort & Spa.

Unfortunately very disappointing. When first looking at the pictures and amenities I thought, Wow this is going to be a worry free get away. After arriving, I quickly learned that this would not be the case. I had purchased a SeaWorld package, which included tickets, breakfast, and souvenirs. When checking in, the lady at the front desk handed met the paper to sign, programmed my room key (which only one worked and they didn't fix the other), and simply said ok go outside and find the guy who will help you find your bungalow (there are many of them if you look at the map and they are not in the best order). I was somewhat taken back by the lack of interest in the guest.
There was no explanation of the island, where I had a breakfast credit at (there are 3 restaurants) or how to use it as I received no voucher, how I received my tickets for SeaWorld (They were not emailed to me), or any in and outs of the Island. Even motel 6 will tell you how to get to your room and were the breakfast is located, along with the times. I had to call to inquire about the tickets and she said, "well are you going tonight?". I responded no, but I would like to get them now so that we can leave after getting ready and eating in the morning. She then responded, well come to the lobby and you can pick them up. I would think that if someone is paying $310 a night and they failed to supply you with what you paid for, that they would have the tickets brought to the room, especially as the lobby was not close to our room. I then had to get on the website and find the package I purchased to find the restaurant I had the credit in and ask he hostess what to do. The souvenirs that were provided I had to go back a third time for instead of them providing me at the time of getting the tickets.
I know this may sound knit picky but the whole time it seemed like if I didn't ask or go out of my way to inquire, they would be perfectly happy with not providing what was paid for. We had kids with us as well so the tickets and souvenirs where important to them. If you are expecting a quiet stay in "paradise" don't expect that either. People were partying all night, which is fine but the security staff should help with people hollering and playing music loud enough to hear from inside my room at ALL hours of the night. Cars fly down the tiny roads, even though the speed limit is 5 mph. We rented a bike which can hold 4 people. We almost got hit by someone driving out of control. He slammed his breaks, screeching into the intersection and then peeled out screeching and leaving black marks on the road. Again these roads are very small, not like residential streets, they're meant for leading to the separate bungalows.
Lastly, when checking out the lady asked if I wanted to charge the card that they had a hold on and I replied yes. Come to find out when I got home she double charged me instead of just refunding the difference from the extra funds held for each night. So my bank account reflected almost $1400 withdrew vs the $620 I owed. When I called I got spoken to very rudely and treated like I was being cheap and wanted something for free. She stated it will take 24 to 48 hrs for the account to show the difference. I explained I understood this but she charged me double instead of using the funds that they already pre-authorized. She acted like she didn't know what that meant and only said, I am trying to explain to you that it will show the difference from what we charged vs what was held (she clearly didn't understand what double charging means vs using funds already being held). This was all said with major attitude. She then said, I'll just pass it along and hung up.
SAD place! No customer service! I do not recommend! I only give 1 star because it is somewhat pretty.

The setting is superb but the conference center, in an apparent semi circle, is confusing to navigate. The worst part is poor cell phone service. The good news is that staff is accommodating and very friendly. Not sure where the catered food came from, but it was excellent.

Hands down one of the best experience as a family we have had. Let me start off by saying it is hard to have accommodations traveling with a special needs child. Paradise Point blew it out of the park!!! The most AMAZING lady by the name Alyx at the front desk was an angel sent from above. She was so patient and understanding and did't make us feel like a burden. The two gentlemen by the name of Michael and Issac with the bell team were also amazing. Hands down the best place to eat or even gets drinks is barefoot bar. Brain was AWESOME and really made sure everything was good and that you are taken care of. Overall this trip was such an amazing one for the books and the people mentioned made our trip even better. Thank you Paradise Point for such amazing hospitality and making us feel so welcomed.

Spoke with a young man named Alex at the front desk at around 4 am. My phone was about to die. I asked if a charger could be brought to my room (I paid for a honeymoon suite, room 232, and dropped about an additional $200 on champagne). Rather then bring me a charger he made someone pick me up in a golf cart and take me to my car to get my own charger (yes at 4 o clock in the morning). I can t believe that after spending so much money at a resort that I can t even get an iPhone charger when requested. I even went as far as saying to charge me $100 for it. Instead, I had to leave the comfort of my bed. Needless to say, I will not be back.

The facility was very pleasant and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was the most spacious of the three rooms our family stayed in during our extended family gathering. The pools were clean and well stocked with towels for guests. A vending machine located at the smaller pool listed the soft drinks at the high end of the wallet. I visited the Bare Foot Bar and found it pleasant. Parking was limited near the rooms, but at the same time close by for use. The lobby was guest friendly and had seating for guests to visit or individuals to read or relax.

Sceneries nice
Cons:
terrible service.
rooms that belong in a shady motel.
when we got there the sheets on the bed where so dirty with God knows what and when we had to call room service twice before they came to clean the sheets 6 hours later.
The workers are extremely unprofessional.
Everything is in dogshit condition and is overpriced.
They managed to mess up our reservation we paid for three months in advance. Took us 2 hours to sort out that mess.
Beds are so uncomfortable. Sleep doesn't happen here.
Summary: bad rooms, bad bed, bad service but good food. Honestly the whole place felt like a big tourist trap. If you know what's good for you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IN SAN DIEGO. There is much nicer places here for this insane price.

this is one of the nicest places on the bay to take a family, the best part of it was they still allow fires on the beach! They also have those little scooters that we can ride around the resort so I would recommend it any day of the week!

Great resort to enjoy a quiet weekend at. We spent the weekend here for a conference and had a great time. The resort was awesome. Our only issue was that we did not get a chance chance to enjoy the facilities. The The conference filled th ed entire CDC weekend. We will be returning soon for a chance to fully embrace the facilities.

Beautiful place to relax! It's so nice to have an entire island to walk around, and the staff is so helpful and kind. Feels like a paradise. Oh, and the restaurants and spa are also so lovely! Only complaint is maybe that there are LOTS of screaming children, and the wall to our room seems a bit thin as we can hear them through the wall. Not too bad, though.
Closest we can get to having that Hawaii feel........
Closest we can get to having that Hawaii feel.....for now at least, until this Pandemic is over. We stayed 5 days beachfront and it was nice. My kids enjoyed going to the backyard and immediately getting to the sand to play. It was nice and quiet, not crowded like public beaches...we pretty much had a portion of the beach to ourselves. Firepits were great too just bring your own logs and s'mores kit. I recommend staying during weekdays because you can enjoy the property without worrying about distancing from others. Room service was too pricey so we ended up using Door dash which was good too because they were allowed to enter the property to deliver. If you want to go pick up groceries, there's Target and Raleys also nearby. Overall, the stay was good, some things could be better like-- floors should be cleaned more before handing the room over to the guests. Also, management needs to follow thru with their staff to make sure all of them are following the mask rules and they wear their mask properly.

Worst place I have ever stayed in! There was stains in the bedding, stains in the floor. toilet was clogged for 2 days We called over 4 times and nothing! Firstly, the staff is fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating.
The reasons I'm giving only three stars, however, are as follows:
The spider infestation in the bathrooms... Lots of baby spiders falling out from the lighting fixtures in the bathroom. Fortunately, I don't scare easily from spiders, but it was pretty creepy.
More importantly was the raging frat party that the staff apparently let continue late into the night despite multiple calls to the front desk. The resort claims to be "tranquil," but we were robbed of a peaceful night stay due to the raging (and I mean raging!) party they seemed to have no problem with right there in one of their waterfront units. It was disappointing... Especially coming here with my family for some rest and relaxation (our last night was stressful).

Really great little resort hideaway in Mission Bay. We were upgraded from our garden-view to a bay-view room; great little bungalow, with French doors opening to a sitting area and a almost private beach. Aside from a leaky iron, and a headboard that rattled, the room was great. Grabbed a bite at Barefoot in the afternoon and enjoyed brunch at Tidals; neither disappointed! The staff was kind and accommodating and the grounds were beautiful. It is a little hard to navigate around the property after dark, our Lyft drivers got turnaround both times. Only minor complaint was that both ATMs on property were broken. We will definitely return!!!

Our family has been going to Paradise Point for ov...
Our family has been going to Paradise Point for over ten years and have always had a great experience. This last time I would like to acknowledge some of the best staff that we have ever come into contact with. At the Tropics, I suggest that you ask for Natalia the very friendly bartender or the always smiling Gabriella. For bike quad or segway rentals Blake is your go to guy! If you have any concerns about the security on staff let me put your fears to rest. Robert and Juan are among the best when security is an issue with a family. My children have literally grown up around these fine men and still look up to them. My son who is 21 and serves in the Navy visits them regularly. Now when it comes to the spa get ready for a once in a lifetime experience. Tracy who has worked on our entire family for the last ten years is one in a million. Tracy was the first to introduce massage to my older boys when they were only 11, and 13. I was able to sit in the room and observe. My boys love massages to this day, and understand the healing process for the body includes massage. I can' say enough about her. I was also able to have a Swedish massage from Desiree, and found her to be among the best massage therapists that I've ever had. We love this place and it always feels like we are coming home. Thanks again! See you in August! The Abedrabbo Family

This is the perfect family friendly resort! Truly felt like we were in Hawaii and it's just a few hours from LA. Our little one loved feeding the ducks! Wonderful to have a kid-friendly walk-in pool, beach, bike rentals, restaurants all in one resort. Plus it's just 12 mins from downtown (so many amazing dining options there!) as well as the famous San Diego Zoo. Will definitely return!

CONS:
CONS:
Be careful with all the hidden charges they "forget" to mention. We paid an they said it was a locked in rate, until we checked out and noticed an extra $250 for things like parking ($38 per day) resort fees ($30 per day) the gym is extra and some other random items they just add on. We did call and complain and they did refund the parking at least.
They also do not have "free breakfast", it's free coffee and a small muffin or pastry. If you want breakfast, they have at 1 of their 3 restaurants and each meal is around $18 or $22 for a breakfast burrito! The restaurants are very nice, and over look the water. The mini golf is $10 per person, basically the room is just the start and then they try to charge for every other item possible.
PROS:
The rooms are decent, they are a good size and nice lay out, older rooms however. Our bathroom door was broken so we had to mess with it like ace ventura in pet detective to get it open (Our son panicked at one point). The pools were nice and they have a cantina and out door fire pits. The beach near the rooms is mostly for the reserved rooms over looking the water. You can use the beach but you would most likely be on somebody's front area of their bungalow.
The grounds are nice, up kept and the people are very friendly.

I have read one of there little note saying the change there sheets every 3 days, been there for 4 days never been changed. Check in is such a hassle good luck finding parking. I really thought after reading all these comments it would be a great place. I believe theres paid to review people people

This place broke my families heart. We wanted to love this place so bad but couldn't get past the rude staff. Calling for rides and never showing up. Cleaning staff was terrible. I will be choosing the place across the bay for my next vacation in Aug. Oh and we had stuff stolen and they admitted to a theft problem on the grounds. Said the would refund me a day for all of our issues. We got the bill 3 days after checking out and in that day they double charged us instead of refunding.

Beautiful location and a great place for families to vacation. Our kids enjoyed the bay and resort activities. Although the prices remained the same, restrictions due to Covid made dining challenging, such as access to coffee in the morning and space to dine for lunch and dinner. Our experience at Paradise Point did not fully live up to our expectations.

Our room was dirty. I did not appreciate this since my husband and I were celebrating our 17 year anniversary. Blanket was dirty with food on it, hair in the shower, dirty towel on the floor in the corner of the room, floor was dirty as well. I complained and got upgraded to a clean room, but not much of an upgrade other than it was clean. Not worth the price we paid. We ended up receiving a discount on the "upgraded" room, but I will not be returning.

Recently stayed here for 1st time. Property is massive, unique, exquisite and beautiful. Sits on a marina and has tons of wildlife on the property. Did not get a chance to try any of the restaurants due to a busy schedule but look forward to staying there again. Staff were all friendly and professional. Not far from SD airport so location is great and close to Gas Lamp district.

Our room faced the bay and was beautiful! It was a little difficult to find our way around when we arrived after dark but a bellman is available to lead you to your room. This is not your typical high rise hotel. All of the rooms are in small cottages with several pools scattered throughout. My biggest kudos are to the staff here. So friendly, especially Alyx at the front desk and Jamaal! Room was clean and modern. The only thing we would have added was a small microwave so we could warm leftovers. Definitely recommended for couples and families.

I'm currently staying at Paradise Point since Satu...
I'm currently staying at Paradise Point since Saturday June 6th, 2020. For the people that have been wondering if the pools are open, they are. They have 4 of the 5 pools open, but the fitness center, their spa, and market are not open. They only have 1 place currently open to get food from.
Now first impressions. Upon driving up and into the place is beautiful! Their lobby and place to check in is also stunning. The people at the counter to check in are absolutely wonderful. I unfortunately did not get the name of the girl that checked me in, but she was so nice and friendly. Everyone makes you feel so welcomed and make sure you're taken care of.
The room. The room is great! We got the king bed size room in the garden area. The room is very spacious! Huge TV. A couch with a queen pull out and a lounger. You can fit 4-5 people in this room comfortably. The decor is up to date and even has a barn door slider to the bathroom, which was a beautiful touch. I absolutely love the room and am so excited to be staying here.
The pools are great! The pool we've been frequenting has 2 fire pits. My two boys got to roast some marshmallows.
So far, this has been an amazing trip and will probably make this a tradition to stay here every year. Thank you Paradise Point!

NO way this is a four star stop for so many reasons- If you have a large boat, you can use the dock, go have dinner and leave- top choice for inbound boaters coming from the Pacific hands down, artificial beach at the pool for the kiddies, fabulous spa with miles of trails and beaches, rent a villa on the sand and relax or just go to party in the Summertime. Many memories and you can also bring the family, party down at the Barefoot Bar, and rent all kinds of toys like boats and it literally has something for everyone at all ages to do all the time. On par with any waterfront place in San Diego, a great place to stay if you are in town for business and want to bring the family, or just want to make some good memories. It's not new, it's not perfect, but no deferred maintenance and the staff is polite and trained well. Photo opps everywhere and a lush, tropical vibe.

We stayed here for a work convention and had free reign of the entire place. They have anything and everything you could want so you could easily spend a day here on your vacation and not have to leave. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had a question. When you have a conference with 300+ people on top of the regular guests staying thats a lot to deal with. But they were great.
The rooms were nice and bungalow style with a privet outdoor entrance. The room I was in had 2 queen beds and were actually comfortable. The bathroom could use a little updating and was a tad on the small side but you aren't there to live in the room - but to enjoy the southern Cali weather and activities!

We have the best time at Paradise Point Resort and spa. From the Bay, having a campfire on the sand, walking the grounds, the pool, and renting a Fun Cat in the Marina! We loved everything about it!!! Had the best time and will definitely be back. The only con is that I wish we had rings in our rooms. We tracked in so much sand even when we tried not to. So there always felts like there was sand all over the time floor...if not rugs maybe a broom in each room. The mini golf course needed some maintenance done as well. Everything else was fantastic

Do yourself a favor and hide a key somewhere. Under a rock, in a tree. Anywhere. This is our 3rd year at a conference here and the amount of times the keys don t work to get into your room is mind blowing. Head up to the desk and and they want your id which is probably still in your room so now you get to wait for security and made to feel like you did something wrong. Great experience. Thanks.

It was one of our favorite place to stay in mission Bay Area. Over the Labor Day weekend, it was really crowded. The only thing I am not too crazy about is they started to charge 100/hour for bonfire/was free before and you can only purchase food and alcohol from them. Not a very good business idea...
