I came here for an event in the conference center in the evening. It was pretty impossible to find anything in the dark since there are barely any street lights and the signage for buildings is quite small. I had ask a doorman on a golf cart and someone walking if I was going in the right direction.

The conference room itself was fine, the food served was quite good, and the staff on hand was friendly. That is what gets the stars.

Beautiful and open resort. 44 acres of land, beautifully manicured grounds and 3 restaurants on site. Rooms are good and spacious. I would stay here again.

One thing to note, you will have to drive or cab it to some of the towns like La Jolla, Coronado, etc. That is expected though and it doesn't take away from the relaxing experience.

Very beautiful resort! Property is awesome! Lots of greenery in the resort. Rooms are big, clean and modern. Bathrooms are beautiful. Clean sheets and towels. Staff is courteous and friendly. Couple of things I noticed is that the water bottles are not refilled by housekeeping. Only 2 bottles of water were provided for the 3 nights I stayed. No microwave oven in the room. Apart from these 2 issues, it's an awesome place to stay.

Paradise Point was a very nice place, with great staff. Morgan checked us in with a smile. Kyle took care of bags and got us to our suite. The room was large with a back door with a great view that lead to a white/grey sandy beach. The staff also brought us a Anniversary gift. That made our stay even better. Of course there are always way to improve, the room could use more hooks for your wet bathing suites and a mat at the front to knock off the sand off your shoes would have been nice. And the food prices was high but tasty. Overall it was a great place to celebrate our anniversary!! Thanks!

Great place to go if in the San Diego area. Rooms were quiet and cleaned daily. Pool and spa were great. Don't like the fact you have to pay $10 bucks extra for Internet access. That sucks considering how much you pay for a room.

Someone broke into our room... After we reported the break-in and met with security, we were told someone would contact us after we got home (after checking out) that did not happen. We assumed the break-in was through the rear sliding glass door as it was left open by the intruders. We were informed by resort security that it was more likely they came in with a fake key card and only made exit through the back.
The resort has no way to secure the property from outsiders as all the beach areas surrounding the rooms are public, the rooms and bungalows actually shelter intruders from view within the resort. During our four day stay and only after the break-in I realized we had not seen any security on site during our stay.
We understand the misfortunes of travel are often unavoidable, but the lack of security, the open concept of the property and the lack of follow up by Management make Paradise Point a target for any locals with criminal intent.
Never again

We stayed here for 3 nights. We thought it was a nice place to stay for spring break. The kids liked it which was important. The workout room was acceptable and the workout equipment was in good condition. The landscaping was well kept up and the staff was always friendly. The place has been around for a while so some of the guys who shred this place up with negative reviews about crappy remodels can shove it up there a** . Talk to management like an adult and they will take care of it. Don't go on here to complain first and then hope for attention. The $35.00 parking fee is surly disappointing but its in the fine print. Resort fees are normal like every other resort. Even the Hilton on Mission Bay charges the same amount for parking. Some people read the fine print and some dummies don't and complain. I deal with complainers all the time being in the Airline business. I wish I can make Stupid sign necklaces and put them around people being stupid so they can warn others.

The personal was courteous, professional and always smiling. The room was clean and the beachfront had many shells to pick from with the children. We had a blast and we will definitely be returning again.

This is such a fun place to stay. Lots of activities do do, five pools, their own private beach and fairly strong drinks. The grounds needed a bit more manicuring and there was a dead mouse near our room, but overall, a fun and enjoyable staycation.

Could not be more disappointed with our stay at "Paradise" Point. Sure, the location is great, but the amenities are on par with Tiajunana. The food is overpriced and poor in quality and design. The menu is lacking in options. The prices are on par with a 5 star vegas resort, but the service is just not there. What was once our favorite vacation spot is now a tourist trap aiming at obtaining as much money as possible from their customers while providing the bare minimum of service. Paradise Point is a waste of money and time.

Travelling is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. The name of the resort is Paradiae Point afterall... Part of that experience for many adults involves the ability to have a cup of coffee in your room when you wake up. Enjoying a glass to brush your teeth and such. Simple things to provide to guests.

This property has chosen to eliminate a person's ability to make a real cup of coffee in the room. Instead, Keurig are provided with cheap paper cups along with dated powdered creamer and sweet and low...yes, the pink packets...for my stay, I've had to walk to the coffee bar in the lobby and pay 12$ on one day and $18 on another for the exact same, 3 cups of black coffee...the Holiday Inn and most other places have complimentary coffee for the guests...

I approached the onsite restaurant and asked for a carafe of hot water to take to my room to make tea later as the restaurant is about half mile from my room. Instead, I am handed three paper cups full of hot water..."you are not allowed a carafe" I was told...

For approximately $400.00 per night I'd expect to be treated like an adult and treated a little differently ...

The 70's music blasting around the property all day and evening is terrible and over loud...come on...it's 2019...

The grounds are really nice, not enough to offset the treatment.

I come here once a year for a conference & love the facilities! My only complaint is that it takes took long (hour +) to get from checking-in to having a working key in your hand. There has to be a better system!

It was a fabulous three days. property is spectacular and relaxing. Amenities outstanding. Only drawbacks were Barefoot Bare food was OK and Tidal food choices too gourmetish for our taste. Also with black out (not resorts fault) I was inconvenienced with my medical device. At Check in Annie was wonderful and great listener and share a nice gift of wine for our anniversary. Overall fantastic.

We booked our room from the airport the day we arrived in Dan Diego. It was a last minute trip. When we arrived we upgraded our room to a suite on the water. The room was large and comfortable. We easily fit 4 people. This resort is great. Lots of pools, very convenient location. Service and staff were excellent. Good for all walks of life. We used Uber and lift for 4 days and were happy to not rent a car. Lots of services at this resort and if you get the chance try the yoga by the water. Best yoga spot ever. I can recommend this resort to anyone.

This was our first time at the resort. We loved the location of the resort and the beaches. Unfortunately the grounds and pool were not well maintained. There were tons of people and not enough staff to accommodate them all in a timely manner. We spent a lot of time outside the resort due to this issue. I love that they are dog friendly and have lots for the kids to do. I would have given them a higher rating if they took better care of their grounds and had more helpful staff.

We had an incredible family get away. The kids had a blast. Fishing, paddleboarding, jet skiing, pedal boat competition boys vs girls. It was my daughters birthday and everything was great. Check in was a breeze. They even surprised my daughter with a box of delicious cookies. We received early check in which was super great so we could enjoy the pools a beach all day. Just nice to see so many happy employees willing to help and answer questions. The newly remodeled rooms are such a delight, clean and modern and decorated so nicely. This was more than I was expecting. By far the nicest resort in San Diego. We will be back. Oh, the grounds are so pretty and there is so much to see. We also played tennis and bocce ball. The main pool serves drinks and food which was nice. Good job and thank you for treating our family so well.

yes, the bathroom is a little outdated, but that's part of the charm. Feels like an Hawaiian bungalow, i loved it. the room air was sweet and comfortable, we slept like a baby. location location location. It was a definitely a sweet valentine's surprise. Unfortunately didn't have time to use the facilities but i loved the duck pond! He didn't mind the pricey tag but wasn't too thrilled with the surprised $35 parking fee.

Tried to change dates of stay due to fathers critical illness and they refused to change the dates of reservation or offer any kind of partial refund. Representative was rude and provided no alternatives. 2nd time we have been treated poorly by reservation staff at this resort. Won't try again.

Dated interior of the room. Otherwise the resort is quite serene and quiet by my standard. The weather this week was not that great. So it maybe has an effect on the 3 stars im giving.

BE AWARE OF EXCLUDED FEES! Parking is not free. $40 per night! Resort fees $35 per night! No breakfast. Wifi signal is weak. I suppose they exclude these fees to be more competitive with value. The room is average at best. The location in regards to activities and the bay is good.

From the greeting we received upon arrival to the wave goodbye as we departed the staff at Paradise Point is what sets this place apart. I may age myself but each day I kept humming the theme song from Gilligan's Island. Paradise Point is truly a tropical island getaway. I highly recommend you make a visit, and it is pet friendly too!!

Great place minus the parking fee. They could do a lot better with the cleanliness, lots of spider webs everywhere. The pillows are not very good either. Price is a little out of control $13 for a mai tai that is 6 oz. no way. Other than that really nice.

This is my first time staying at a resort and probably the last. Overall the experience was fine, I think a hotel would just have been better. The rooms were nice and spacious but didn't have a fridge or microwave. The remote to the TV also sucked. We bought some things to cool on the bonfires they advertise on their maps but they don't light the bonfires for you and we didn't have anything to light it with. Bummer. I thought it was ridiculous they charged $38 to park. PER NIGHT. Ridiculous. We also went to the zoo one morning and I went to print my tickets off in the lobby. Printing was $1 PER page with a $5 minimum charge. On top of what we paid per night to stay we ended up also paying $150 in stupid resort fees for doing nothing and $80 for parking plus some extra little charges we didn't know were for. If you're a normal vacationer looking to see san diego and spending a lot of your time out in the city rather than in the resort/hotel/room, just stay at a hotel.

So when I was in my way I gave paradise point a great review because I was excited! So when we got here it was already off to a horrible start, your staff, worker telling us she is manager(Katie) was being horribly rude. So when I ordered our room we even requested early check in! But we didn t even get our room at normal checkin time(4:00) we got it a lot later then everyone else would! So finally when we arrived, we had to wait for a inspection! There was dust everywhere and even just easy things, even the pull out bed had sheets in it from last time! And sure enough when we were unpacking and putting things in the draws there sure enough crumbs from last time! Not impressed at all!

Not what I was hoping for, not what I paid for.

Not what I was hoping for, not what I paid for.
$37/day fee to park your car on the premises....WHAT?
$30/day 'resort fee' that includes use of a nearby pool with a hot tub that worked on 1 day of our 5 day stay + a landline telephone....wow!
Room was dirty when we arrived, including
* (I kid you not!) snot on the shower curtain,
* half-inch thick dust along the wall,
* mud on the wall,
* hair on the wall of the shower
Housekeeping was minimal, including
* even calling and pointing out that they needed to remove the hair in the shower, it was not done,
* sheets were never changed, unless all of their sheets have tire tracks on them - this was on the part of the sheet that shows at the bottom of the bed, so, no we didn't need to sleep on it,
* only way we got the mirrors by the sink cleaned was to write "Clean me" with a bar of soap!
Old, old furnishings including
* refrigerator that froze over even on lowest setting,
* coffee maker that quit mid-brew,
* noisy, noisy wall heater,
* fancy thermostat on the wall that was not connected to anything i.e. changing the temp on the thermostat did not activate the wall heater

Paradise Point is a lovely facility. Beautiful, peaceful grounds make taking a walk well worth it. There is a lot of walking as the property is large. (I'm mad that I forgot my Fitbit!) But don't let that scare you. You can place a call to the front desk or use their mobile app to order golf cart transportation. Everyone is very friendly. I did use the spa and thoroughly enjoyed my facial. I was here for work so cannot speak to the activities available on-site. I did see bike rentals and likely would have used this service given more time.

Beautifully updated, energy efficient, rooms,. Pools and lagoons throughout the resort, gorgeous landscaping with tropical plants everywhere. Nice gift shop. Good coffee bar. Delicious food at the bar and grill and Tidal restaurants. Mini golf course throughout the grounds, perfect for little ones. Service was on point and very friendly. Felt like I was somewhere tropical, loved it!
