DONT STAY AT THIS RESORT IF YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS TO GO UNTOUCHED or STOLEN. Me and my family went for about a week and it was a decent time. Our problem was that we had our things stolen from our room. My sunglasses were stolen off the dresser one day and then my brother had his headphones stolen out of his bag the next day. When we confronted the resort they told us we didnt have enough evidence to make a valid claim and told us to forget about the situation. All in all, San Diego is beautiful just DONT STAY AT THIS RESORT IF YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS TO GO UNTOUCHED or STOLEN.

I thought I booked a room with a VIEW as seen online when I booked our room mind you months in advance... however, that is not what we got! The room had no view you had to open the door to see the water. I hate to complain I'm very grateful for being able to even go on a vacation it wasn't until late Sunday evening after all calmed down for us... I had a death in the family Monday before arrival and a Nephew coming home from being overseas for 8 months ( his Mother passed away) so I had to be there.. that I went out back to sit and view the water when I looked over and saw the room next door to us with all the glass like I saw online when I booked the room. When we arrived Friday late afternoon we were super excited to see my Nephew and his wife.
I did bring this to the managers attention upon check out Monday and all she kept saying was the "name" of the room I booked was the room I got I call BS bait and switch.. I'm sorry I am a consumer.. I don't go by names.. I go by what I seen online.. the photo of the room with the nice view of the bay! This resort caters to families they have a family pool with food, drinks and lots of chairs... the adult pool was way off to itself, limited chairs no food or drinks offered not even an app to order food.. thought that was odd considering the amount of golf carts running everywhere & technology. We learned a lesson should have called, should have ask more questions, tried to get into the spa on Saturday and was told it was booked.. We normally stay on the island and wanted to try a resort, however, we won't do that again I can stay on Coronado island for a lot less have lots of choices for restaurants, affordable shopping, night life with the ferry that goes over to the lamp light district, free bike rentals where we stay- this resort charges for parking, bikes, amenities (family pool offers the amenities) they hold a $100 a day on your card while your there for incidentals... we had no kids, no pets so not sure what would have happened. Just not the fun, relaxing peaceful place I thought we would experience especially with planes flying over all the time...

We loved this hotel and felt like we were in Hawaii. The bad points were the safe did not work in the room, guest next door were loud/music till 3am both nights, items to reserve to do were almost all booked.

Love this place. We stay here every year for Bayfair San Diego. Always a pleasure to stay, rooms are beautiful as is the property. It was super easy to check out via text message. It did take a few days for the charge to bill my card, otherwise no problems.

I was here with an awards group. The check in process was long and had to quite a wait to get room.We arrived early but were aware of the 4 pm check in time. The bellman were fantastic. Marc, who had work at the resort for more than 16 years, went over and above the call of duty. The rooms were very nice and modern. Love the shower!! Lots of pools to enjoy but some were dated. The adult pool was nothing great and definetitly needs an upgrade. Towels were not available after 3 pm and never got resupplied until 5 pm. Drinks and food are way too expensive!!! This is not a cheap place to visit. The Pizza cave was too hot but the food was very good and affordable. (Only place) Ate at the Barefoot Cafe which was outside. Service was great and the food was tastey. All in all the staff was excellent. You should be proud of them. Work on having a better place for adults to swim. The biggest complaint is you $100 /day incidental charge. Should of been my first clue on how expensive the food and drinks were. That is alot of money to hold on someone card. I saw people struggling to pay it.

Beautiful grounds. As you drive in you are transported to a tropical island. Very quiet and relaxed.
The rooms are another story. Very clean. Hardwood floors. Very esoteric. But not plush. Each room has its own "patio". Some are just a piece of cement looking into the parking lot.
It could be nice but not what we were looking for.
We had reserved a premium king room online at the resort website. We pre paid
When we arrived they gave us a room with double beds with a small cement area with 2 chairs looking into the parking lot. It was near the bay. But not with a view of any water. Needless to say we did not stay. We were going to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were quite disappointed that the room we reserved and paid for online - not through a discount site- through their own website, was not available when we arrived to check in.
As we left one of the nice bellman mentioned that they were about to undergo renovations. I am hopeful that they will improve on the rooms, the patios and the views and I hope to check back next year.

Beautiful resort with fun amenities for families. Rooms are modern and stylish but the mattress can be horrible. Staff can be not very responsive to requests, however, they did a fantastic job making us feel safe staying at the resort during a pandemic. I would visit again. Just don t expect the it to be a Four Seasons or Ritz but rather a reasonably priced resort with lots of fun activities for the kids.

I was here on a business trip in February 2020.

Pros: The grounds are beautiful. It is very scenic and you can watch a beautiful sunset. There is staff in golf carts that will pick you up if you flag them down if you need a ride. The rooms are spacious. The front desk staff is friendly. The location is great. It's about a $12 Uber ride to most attractions.

Cons: The floors in the rooms are very dirty so bring baby wipes and slippers. There are no desks or tables in the rooms which makes it very hard to eat in. If you call for a golf cart ride, it can take @ 20 minutes for them to come to you. The cleaning staff isn't very thorough. There's no TV guide, which is minor, but still an inconvenience if trying to watch TV in your room. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the people next door's entire conversation with our TV on, and they weren't speaking in a loud voice.

With a few changes, this could be a very nice place to stay.

It's very nice, room was large and amazing... right on the water with the backyard as your beach. HUGE flat screen TVs on the wall and plenty of sleeping room for a large family with a fantastic master bedroom as big if not bigger than the livingroom kitchen area. Very comfortable surroundings and you feel like you left the grime of the city/beach area and entered your own little paradise set away from the BS back over your shoulder!! If you're considering staying here... stop! I just made up your mind for you... BOOK IT!!

My wife and I go here every year with her family and we always have a great time. It's definitely pricey, but I feel like the quality is really high. The restaurants are pretty good and the pools are nice. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

I am a loyal coustomer at the paradise point. I always book their throw Expodia and it s always perfect. On the 28-29. On thanks giving me and three friends decided to go sleep their, and stay the night! I called in to check in early they said the earliest check in is at 4:00pm which is tbh pretty late. We went to check in and it was all perfect. We turned the TV on and we were playing cards. The neighbor called the security around 8:30pm for noice compline. I am not
Gonna lie we were little loud but it was thanksgiving and it s only 8:30, like come
On! The security the first time was pretty nice and said just keep it down a little and u have till 10:00pm. So we did! Around 9:50 the neighbor start screaming and knocking the door super rude and cussing us out and called security again. When they came
I opened the door, they saw a hookah on the ground. It wasn t on! The hookah was off just their because we didn t wanna leave it in the car. Anyways, around 10:15 we packed everything and while I was leaving to check out because I had enough. Someone called the room number asked if we were smoking hookah and we said no! We cleaned everything and left the room. I arrived at a different hotel to spend the night and then I called paradise point around 11:00am to check out over the phone. They said I can get a refund but I have to call Expodia and go throw them! I did and Expodia guy said that he will call in the morning because they don t have an accounting available. The next day I called to get my money back because I only stayed for few hours, they didn t approve it! It s not right what happened. My thanks giving was ruined. Because someone was next door paid just like I did. What happened was unfair but I will not be going back and I don t recommended it to anyone. Maybe if ur an older couple that just wanna spend a night out side, then ya go. For younger ppl, this resort isn t the best I guess.

I HAD TO CHECK OUT AT 1AM AFTER TRYING TO SLEEP WITH A PILLOW OVER MY HEAD FOR A HOUR BECAUSE I HEARD THE ROOM NEXT DOOR THRU THE ADJOINING DOOR. IT WAS GENERAL CONVERSATION.

Pitiful. Heard them clear as day. Management here needs a overhaul. 1/2 hour to check in at front desk. Short on housekeeping staff. No signage with room numbers on any roads. Really poor.

You should not have to sleep with a pillow over your head because you hear the room next door talking. And basic conversation. Not for $300 a night. I was there for a wedding.

Not worth it after that experience

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, the first time we stayed, it was just a standard room, but the first thing I noticed was that it had no carpet what so ever which is excellent in my opinion. The second time we style here was In a room with the Bayfront basically at the doorstep it was great, it was very quiet and calm, once it gets dark there are fire pits on the beach, and you can buy wood to make a fire it is great. It is the perfect distance between everything I love it and will come back every time possible. Also, the on sight restaurant has great food.

The pictures and everything looked great, but once we arrived to the room, it was not what we expected. The rooms don't feel very clean like they should. They are remodeling some rooms, so hopefully those are nicer. If you don't have a car, getting around is a pain in the butt. You have to walk quite a bit, or wait for a bellman to get you in a golf cart. The location is great, but feel they could do better. The business meeting rooms are nice, and the staff has been very friendly and attentive. They just really need to work on the rooms.

Amazing views and scenery from Barefoot Bar, and a great place to grab a drink or meal. Went for breakfast and the food was great, although a little pricey. Make sure to walk around the resort as well, it's a great area to take in the bay and wildlife.

We really enjoyed our week at the resort. Our main problem was service related. Communication between front desk and housekeeping was horrible. Took 3 days to get our floor swept. Housekeeping was fabulous, it was lack of communicating from management!
Would recommend trying to incorporate an all inclusive option with the restaurants this would make it a 5 star resort, well with improvement in communication of course.
We highly recommend renting the electric bikes and going over to the beach for the day! Great fun!!

Paradise point was beautiful clean and well-kept. We walked the grounds and took a photo shoot for my friend's wedding. The staff was very helpful, and when my friend left a personal item in the lobby they were quick to come find us and return it.

Great customer service both when booking over the phone and during check in. Beautiful rooms, we had a beach front room, parking was right in front, two entryways. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash pumps available in the shower. Multiple pools and restaurants on property. Thank you Alyx, Caitlin, Mariah, and Jodie(sp?) for your excellent customer service and to their managers. We will definitely be returning here.

Where do I start other than the sheer disappointment. There was a company thing and this was the chosen place. Upon arriving the place looked amazing from the outside. We arrived and was told by the person from our company that one of the extra nights that we choose to stay would be comped because of all the issues leading up to this day. Upon checking in they didn't have that information but insured was it would be taken care. We got our room and didn't spend any time in it until that night. Then we found dirty socks in the dresser, dirty towels hanging on the towel rack, dirty dirty bathtub that had layers of nasty on it. Get passed all that and you find that the room walls are so very thin you can lay in your bed and hear the conversation from the next door neighbors clear as day. I will never stay at this place again. Upon check in we were told that our room was never comped. I would have been fine with this in the beginning had I been told. The hot water was like warm not even hot.

A little outdated in the rooms, but you can't beat the grounds and views. All rooms are bungalows and you feel like you are in paradise with just about every step you take on the grounds. If you don't like walking (the property is spread out) you can call for a golf cart to get you and bring you where you need to go. Most of the time, you'll actually have people ask if you want a ride if they see you walking. Food and drinks are fantastic at the on site choices.

I never wrote a review about a hotel. But I had to do it this time. Keep it short. All the negative reviews are true. I wish I had read them before booking this hotel. I paid 4 star hotel price for a motel room. The room is old and DIRTY! The worst part is the bathroom. Most of the problems mentioned in the negative reviews in the past have NOT been addressed as they promised. BTW, I am not a picky person. I just want to be fair. As a customer I pay a high price. The service I receive should match that. This hotel management can't just take all the money but provide a discounted service.

I spent 3 days in the beautiful paradise...however the food was horrible dont waste your money. The only thing that was good was the pizza. We ordered room service for breakfast the eggs were under cooked potatoes were hard worse experience ever. I will never come back.

This resort is gorgeous and feels like it s own little world! Beautiful lush grounds and tons of pools, plus it s close has bay access! The only thing I was disappointed in, was the restaurants. I ate at 3 different places on the property and all 3 lacked good service, a good price, or quality food. All of my orders were some how messed up and I even got over charged at the pool bar.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so friendly. The garden bungalows are lovely, it was wonderful to be able to relax in a little apartment type room. There was lots of space to spread out and read a book, or do some work on a laptop. The cleaning ladies that visited us daily were so sweet, and frequently asked how I was feeling as I had a cold during my visit.

This was easily the best hotel stay I've had and I hope to visit again.

This place is really beautiful. It's a quiet little hide a way that feels like you went far away on vacation. I'm giving it 3 stars because my room was not very clean. Well, the floor was pretty filthy. And there were cobwebs throughout the room. Also the pool was really foggy and dirty. I think I got bad luck with the room because it was rushed being cleaned so I can check in a little early. I regret that. I'd rather sit and wait for a thoroughly cleaned room. Everything else as far as my experience went well. We rented a boat, ate at the Barefoot restaurant which was the only one opened dur to covid and was pretty good. Walk the grounds during the sunset. I'd like to give it another try.

It's a good place for a self-contained vacation, but not if you're planning to have anything to do with the city itself. Good food options inside, nice beach, decent service. Expect to pay for all extras (e.g. parking, water).

Amazing and unique resort. Beautiful rooms great waterfront bar and restaurant. Love having meeting rooms with bay views, adds energy to our conference. Staff is wonderfull, especially the bell staff. Extended through the weekend, perfect fpr work and play. Get on the water, whole new perspective for the resort. Newly renovated rooms are luxurious, but get a waterfront room with a view and enjoy!

Overall great resort. Nice updated rooms, friendly staff, assigned parking. One thing that bothered me about the room was how dirty the floors. Walking barefoot on the floors for a few minutes and our foot was practically black from the dirt.

Came here with my husband for my birthday a year ago and absolutely LOVED it! Highly recommend getting something right in the water so you can wake up and go SUP boarding right away! So many good things to say about this place! Can t wait to go back :)

Very nice resort. High standard of rooms cleaning surroundings. We tried 2 eating places at the resort. Caveman pizza and barefoot grill and bar. Both were super class. Can only recommend visiting this place if you are in San Diego.

My family used to stay at this place when it was "Vacation Village" back in the seventies and eighties. I just spent the weekend there after being away for 19 years. The place is still beautiful. You are going to see some bad reviews from people who stayed in the low-budget rooms. Please try to ignore people who bought a hot dog, and are complaining it wasn't steak. I am glad the resort has low cost options so just about everyone can enjoy the pristine beaches, the beautiful gardens and ponds, the tower, the swimming pools, and the South Pacific atmosphere. Spend the extra for a premium room, or get one of the dorm-like rooms and save money, and still get to enjoy all the other amenities. Just don't complain that the dorm isn't a suite.

Great resort, lots of amenities and beautiful grounds, heated pools, parking is outside the room which is a big plus if you have young families, check is bit late, 4 PM and they won t do it early so plan for not, spas seems expensive. But overall great place to stay.

The aspect of Parsdise Point that is most noticeable is the service. The service is fast and effective. The rooms are clean and at a standard that is suitable for any individual who wants to vacation.
