The worst experience possible.Really should be a minus star but the web site would not post if I did not select a "star' On vacation from Michigan, abs, parking brake light came on speed and cruise also quit. No alliterative took it to Panama City Toyota. Service writer gave me a looney list of stuff they said needed done, Total cost about $10,000.00.$3000 for rear sensors and associated repairs, $7000 for engine and power steering oil leaks(overall more than the vehicle was worth! )With no known alternatives I allowed them to work on the rear sensors, but they also said seals wheel bearings were bad. Spent almost $3,000 but they could not get the lights to go off they needed more time for diagnosis, I declined given the "rip off" estimate of $10,000.--who knows what they would of come-with or charged me for additional work!
Came home all lights still on nothing fixed, all oil levels spot on. Went to local specialists, (one my best friend graduated from a 2yr automotive college and was a mechanic an service mgr. at GM dealership until his retirement, he could not locate the "leaks" that would have been repaired in the $7000 estimate.the second is a local brake and alignment shop which has been in business for nearly 40 years. The computer at the alignment shop showed the same faults as when I went to Panama City.My friends at the Brake shop did a quick inspection and noted that likely bearings and seals were not needed as if they were I would have heard a "squeeling" from the rear end, and the abs sensors did show as fault on both sides. So the $7000 I refused was totally unnecessary according to a certified mechanic, just a rip off scare tactic, and I now have the vehicle at a specialty shop for evaluation. I Wonder how the people at the dealership sleep at night!
