I am giving you one star as that is the lowest rating possible. I brought my wife to you ER last Sunday. Spent a very long wait to actually get to a doctor (total time in the ER was 12 hours). The doctor who saw my wife did a good job and ordered the correct tests. The CT scans indicated diverticulitis so the doctor ordered IV antibiotics and pain medication. Based on the doctors exam we agreed that my wife would be admitted to continue the iv and to monitor her condition. All sounds good so I head home. Not 45 minutes later I am called back because they are discharging my wife. It seems the doctor on the second shift decided that the CT scan was wrong and my wife could be treated with anti nausea drugs and antacids. No prescription for antibiotics was given. We saw my wife's regular doctor today and now she is on antibiotics. 12 hours in the ER just to see a diagnosis reversed based on by doctors opinion that the tests are wrong. do not leave your loved ones alone in this place.

I got to the hospital at 6:30 and waited 4 hours in the emergency room with a fractured ankle, not one person in the emergency room was seen, so I left, this is by far the worst hospital I ve ever been to I will never be going to this hospital again, it was a complete waste of my time.

I called to see if my Pomeranian female dog, MIMZY can be my service dog by one of your doctors writing me a letter your operator, SHE TOLD ME LAUGHING "I DOUBT IT VERY SERIOUSLY". I wanted to commit suicide, I had depression very bad, THIS IS REGARDING MY MENTAL HEALTH, what has our world come to?

The wait time was very short, I got in, testing and a bed very quickly. Of course I was there in rough shape but the staff was very accommodating and took great care of me and I appreciate that as I didn t have that experience the previous two times ( years before this time) I ve been to this ER. I was listened to and given what was needed and prescriptions that will hopefully get me back to good health. Thank you to the morning nurses and physicians on March 16th 2021!

A friend was discharged from the ER due to blood sugar in excess of 500. The doctor wrote her a prescription that DID NOT INCLUDE INSULIN SYRINGES AND DID NOT INCLUDE THE SLIDING SCALE so the pharmacy was unable to fill the patient's medication. This is day two that she has not received her medication and the orders have still not been corrected and filled.

The staff were very cautious, thorough and friendly. The facilities were set up with the utmost safety due the patients. They did a double test on me just to be sure I was clear for surgery. Nurses were the BEST.

This hospital sucks so bad... all the nurses just walking around bullshitting about stuff that's not even work related. While we've waited over 3 hours to get test results, still haven't got any and still waiting on the doctor to come talk but I guess it's just to busy

Giving them a 1 star is a bit of a stretch. Went in with kidney stones, flu and bad back pain and the service there sucks. Running a high fever and freezing at the same time and all I got was a little heat pack. Staff is impersonal and rude to the patients that are waiting. Over paid and understaffed Dr.s and nurses that run around and bs with each other and no sempathy for patients. I will NEVER go there again. Upset and still sick. Thanks for nothing Palmdale regional hospital.

If I could give this hospital a zero star I would . On the morning of September 15 ,19 my cousin was rushed to this emergency room via ambulance where he stood in the ambulance bay for to long without proper care. After he was complaining of numbness in his limbs at home he started complaing that it was progressing and could no longer feel his face while waiting and Desperate for help for hours in this emergency room .My cousins eyes started to roll back and had a cardiac arrest at a young age of 29 . With 20 min of trying to revive him we lost him . His girlfriend kept at the nurses for help for hours before he had a cardic arrest but they didnt seem to care at all. They had hours to help him but they didnt he became a victim of negligence .

Worst hospital in California I don't even know how they allow this place to be open. Been waiting here for 5 hours nobody's told me nothing about why they gave my son a chest X-ray they don't let you know what's going on they just make you sit there and wait and wonder this is the most unprofessional place I've ever came to for medical attention Do not waste your time coming here drive down the Hill to go to a better hospital.... This place is ridiculous and it needs to be shut down because their staff does not care about people's lives.

I was pleasantly impressed by the staff and their attention to detail. The place is kept very clean and I was kept very comfortable in this healing environment. My only complaint is with the food which to me was not fit to eat. I found it soft soggy andtadteless.. It badly needs improving.

Was sent to Palmdale Regional emergency by Sierra ...

Was sent to Palmdale Regional emergency by Sierra urgent care after having blood pressure reading 190/80, severe dizziness and an unexplained abnormal EKG. Urgent care said I needed to be on a heart monitor to evaluate my condition and provided me a copy of my EKG for the hospital to review. After sitting at PRMC for over 5 hours, I finally got a bed and was then lectured by the nurse Joe (although his tag said his name was Charles) including statements that Sierra Med Urgent care doesn t have licensed medical staff and constantly sends patients to PRMC for pain meds. WHAT?!
He then added that he doesn t value anything Sierra Medical says (basically minimizing my condition). He went on to say how busy they are and how my condition was not a priority. Once the doctor came over, the minimization continued, but know from the Doctor. Accusing me of having anxiety or dehydration . He had not seen my EKG from Sierra and was completely dismissive about looking at it. He instead spoke down to me saying it s normal to get dizzy said he is discharging me. I am 83 yrs old and have always maintained good dr/patient relationships including following my drs orders. I didn t choose to spend mother s day at PRMC, but did so at the recommendation of the Urgent care professionals. I have never been treated so poorly as i was today. I was dismissed and witness to unprofessional conduct, not related to my care. It is very sad to think during lives weakest/scary moments, these are the people that hold our life in their hands. They should be ashamed of themselves. But it appears from the trends listed in other patient comments, PRMC doesn t care about patients experiences.

By far the worst experience ever. I had to wait 10 hours to been seen by a doctor. I have worked in a hospital before and had never experience something like this. Very sad to see this kind of treatment when you pay insurance and this is the treatment you get

Hope to hear back with an apology and a reason why this hospital has change in such a horrible place.

Horrible wait times. I am 24 weeks pregnant and I kept asking for anti nausea medicine I did not get it the whole time waiting in waiting room. I was in total there for 10 hours. I had a migraine and dizzy. Finally hooked me up to IV by my 7th hour. Go to Henry mayo or the valley.

Horrible service - waited for 10+ hours in the Emergency Room to even be seen. They lied and said they had no beds and we found out later that was not true. The doctors are boneheads and can't even read a patient chart. It's a shame because the building itself is new and has state-of-the-art equipment, but the staff is completely incompetent and obviously poorly trained so it might as well be the old Lancaster building. I would NEVER set foot in that place again and would recommend that you run the other direction if you ever need medical care. Go to Urgent Care or another hospital at all costs!!!

This is the worst hospital in the antelope valley

This is the worst hospital in the antelope valley
The service is extremely bad ..
The personal need more training..
Doctors are there only for money they don t care about people
I hope the state of California send someone to inspect the hospital

Worst ER experience ever. Violation of HIPAA from the doctor to the charge nurse. Registration didn t even give me a copy of my patient rights and when I asked the charge nurse for my copy of my patient rights she totally denied them to me. She even denied the hospital compliance line. Anyone complaining about this hospital should call the compliance line since they are in total violation of HIPAA and EMTALA.

It's going on 8 hours and I'm still waiting in the ER, The bathrooms are full of vomit, and there is no one that seems to want to help the patients. I will never come back here even if it's an emergency.

I took my wife to PRMC on Sept 16, 2018 at 10:20am. She signed in and took a seat for about 10 minutes. After being called they took her blood pressure and asked her questions, then she was to take a seat (again) in the waiting room. An hour later she was again called so they could draw blood, again she was asked to take a seat in the waiting room. Two hours later she was again called to lay in a room in the Emergency area. (Now it is 3:15pm) - She was put in room 17 and when she was put in the room I told the attendant that my wife was on alot of medication which is to be given to her at 4:00pm - he said "I will tell the nurse". 15 minutes later I went to the main nurse station and told them the same thing which they replied "I will let the nurse know". Almost 2 hours later I again went to the nurses station and said the same thing to the same receptionist. She called the nurse and told her to come to my room and talk about medication for my wife. She came in (Stuck her head in that is and said I will tell the doctor right now!!!!. 40 minutes later a nurse came in and adjusted the monitoring system and I told her "What about my wifes pain medication that is long over due", (Get ready for this reply), the nurse said "I am not your nurse and your wife looks ok to me", which I replied "I have been requesting her pain medication for over two hours and again the nurse replied to me "You know the nurse has other patients besides your wife". 5 minutes go by and my wife sat up in the bed - tore off all the monitoring devices and we walked out. We were there over 8 hours and saw the doctor for 2 minutes, Dr. Vincente Bennett. This hospital is there for the money they make and not the patients they serve. This is NOT a isolated incident - let me repeat, ---this is NOT NOT NOT an isolated incident it happens everytime my wife has been there, she was there 5 1/2 hours once in the Emergency bed in the room and she never had anyone come, that was another time she again walked out. You ask yourself "Why do you keep going back?" Because 1) She needs too and 2) Maybe, just maybe she will be treated right. ***** So far she has been there about 8 or 9 times and although she was not treated good back then it is getting worse on every trip there. This hospital has been going downhill since it was opened. Most of the staff are nice, polite people but unforunately they don't seem to be the ones to take care of her. We wasted over 9 hours that we can't get back, so sad !!!!

Palmdale Regional saved my life, I wasn't aware that I had a dangerous health condition. I'm young I exercise, eat right, and I thought I was fine. Than one day I woke up with a lot pain on my right leg, I went to ER they did a ultra sound of that leg come to find out I had four blood clots. The ER Physician assistant named Albert, and Rose Martin who did ultra sound, confirmed the blood clots, and told me if I didn't come in that day, I would of been dead two days later. I owe my life to Palmdale Regional Hospital, and to Karen Felton for helping me remember that day. Thank you Palmdale Regional for saving my life. Jade Mitchell

This is the worst service, my sister and I went here and we were waiting for more than six hours because her body was aching and they told me there was a three hour wait and my sister couldn't handle sitting down so we left back to out house and she was crying because her body ached. Bad attendance, they leave for lunch and don't come back until two hours later. Wouldn't recommend coming here. They will only pay a tent ion if you are dying.

Had lunbar puncture and came to the er with spinal leak. The anesthesiologist on call said they used too big of a needle to do a blood patch. Talked to a neurosurgeon next day and she said thats bs they use a standard sized needle. They called the anesthesiologist at home and im pretty sure he just didn't want to come in.. Now I have to wait another day for the blood patch when it should have been done yesterday.. drs also forgot to refill my pain meds at least 3x last night. It took my crying in pain to get them when it should have been stayed ontop of..
Only good thing is the nurses are nice.

Unfortunately I've been a regular visitor to this ER. My last visit was the worst. There was a woman in the waiting room with a taser & the security gaurds did nothing but watch & walk timidly walk around her. I waited for over 7 hours to get a room. My nurse was nice, which is almost always the case; but the doctor was distracted & didn't listen to the reason I was there. I was diagnosed with something but was never prescribed the medication to treat it. I hope to never have to return there.

Today is Feb 2nd,2020 and the time is 3:45pm and I been sitting here all day and have not been seen by a doctor and I'm having chest pains and shoulder pain in my right shoulder and neck and nobody has called me for x-ray or labs or anything and I'm tired of coming to this hospital if I'm not going to get the treatment I came in for and the fact that they sent me to the wildflower zone nobody is being called in that zone either and I'm getting frustrated because I thought a hospital was suppose to help you in your time of need buy I'm just sitting here hurting and holding my shoulder

Every time I come here to EMERGENCY there s at LEAST a 5 hour wait to even get an emergency room bed...that doesn t include the wait time to see a doctor after you get a bed!!! Then the wait time for an iv to get medication and the wait time for the medications!!! This is utterly ridiculous!!! You ll spend a good 10 to 12 hours here!!! Oh and I m a diabetic with a sugar level of 493 when I got here at 5pm, it s now 10:55pm and I m still in the lobby!!!

When I arrived with my daughter last night I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, how quickly she was triaged, the understanding of the woman at the insurance window, the radiology tech, I was in the process of writing a 5 star review when the physician came in...She abruptly came in when I was explaining to the nurse why we were there, that my daughter get nervous talking to medical staff so they need to be patient. The doctor demanded my daughter explain why we were there, when she hesitated the doctor made a joke, again demanding she speak for herself, did a quick exam, did not address any of my daughters other complaints said she would give her a prescription for Motrin and the CAT scan should not have been ordered but we had to wait for the results. Over an hour later a nurse came out to the waiting room and told us she was being discharged no doctor's note for school gave us the prescription for the Motrin never examined her and I had to ask for the CAT scan results to take to her regular doctor. The only reason I'm giving this review three stars is because the staff was great. I will definitely think twice before going to the emergency room again we were treated better at AV hospital emergency room.

I went here for help for a horrible week long headache. They listened to my husband who explained my erratic behavior. They had no interest in examining me. They slapped a diagnosis of substance abuse. I was then driven to Yuma hospital and diagnosed with spinal meningitis.Do not visit this hospital

I'm someone who's no stranger to being a hospital ...

I'm someone who's no stranger to being a hospital patient. In addition to that though, I also have numerous traumatic experiences that make my hospital stays incredibly difficult. I'm also hyper-alert and really struggle when I hear the things that other patients are going through. But when I went to Palmdale Regional a few days ago, and for the first time at that, I was surprised to learn that every hospital room of theirs is private. This sort of thing may seem insignificant to many people but to me, it was huge...because I was able to focus on myself and my medical care with minimal distraction from what other patients were going through. I was easily able to focus on my healing because the staff at Palmdale Regional were kind, compassionate and encouraging; they listened to my concerns with open hearts and non-judgmental ears--this particular thing is crucial to mention because I believe that all of these things combined, are what made this hospital the best experience at a hospital I have ever had in my life...and I don't say that lightly. I would absolutely go here again, and would tell others to do so as well!! Compassion and valuing the things patients have to say/constantly remembering their humanity, combined with the understanding that patients have different needs, makes Palmdale Regional exceptional in my book.

Worst hospital ever only good thing was that they did test extremely fast but other then that have have been here since 4pm with pulse rate of 121 up until now still not seen and it's almost 11. At least my body fixed itself but better off dying at home.

So many good things to say about my experience, it's hard to list them! Friendly, professional staff and efficient check in system for outpatient procedures helped make my experience comfortable and less stressful. During pre-op, the nurses, anesthetist and other staff were so easy to work with and understand. Post-op recovery room nurse was fantastic and patient with my needs. I'd go here for outpatient surgery in a heartbeat!

Poor hospital. My mom went into the hospital on 2/4/2021 for back surgery and he primary care Dr. Ric Garrison ordered a bunch of meds including Morphine and she and a stroke. Then on top of all that she caught Covid in an establishment that is suppose to keep my mom safe. She is now on a ventilator and we are here not knowing what will happen to my mother. This is negligence on the hospital and Dr. Garrison. You call Dr Garrison office and he advertise cosmetic procedures. He just thinks about the money!
My family is devastated and this is unacceptable!

I got to the hospital about noon. By 4:30 I was done with intake, and had lab work done and had a CT. Then I had to wait for the doctor to tell me the results. About 8:30 I was put in a cubicle in ER. It was about midnight before I even talked to the doctor. He said he couldn't find anything really wrong. And that I would be getting an IV for infection and pain and then get released. About 3:30 am I finally got the IV. About 4:45 I was discharged. It was never that busy the whole time I was there. I've been there before and it was busier and I got out a lot sooner. And about 10 pm in the ER there wasn't much going on from hardly anyone talking or walking around. Several times I called out but no one answered or came in. Twice I had to disconnect myself and go out and ask if anyone knew what was going on with me.

WENT INTO palmdale Hospital March 26 to 29,2018, and not a good experience, well not ever go back there again, period.
NO HOT WATER, NO SHOWERS, A SPONGE BATH ONLY BECAUSE OF A NICE YOUNG MAN STUDYING TO BE AN RN TOOK THE TIME TO GIVE ME ONE. Sat on a bed pan for two hours that spelled all over in Emcr.
NO PLAN FOR TREATMENT EVERY Doctor had a different ideal and none agreed. ALL THE DOCtORS WERE
NEVER ON SAME PAGE. THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS COLD, THE ROOM HOT AND COLD, BATHROOM HAD PAPER ON FLOOR, AND HUGE TRASH CAN AND CLEANING SUPPLIES LEFT IN MIDDLE OF FLOOR.
i was refused to be able to talk to a social worker and it seem this hospital was more interested in money then care.
I was told I was going to die if I did not do what they wanted. I CHECKED OUT on my own, and went to my own doctor. I AM NOT GOING TO DIE, IN FACT WHERE i could not get medication I did from my family Doctor. I AM FEELING FINE NOW, MY Doctor understood my church beliefs. THIS HOSPITAL DID NOT, AS i was made to guility about my religion. I CANNOT DO BLOOD TRANFUSIONS, BUT MY FAMILY Doctor understood and got me medication. TO SIGN ANYTHING AGAINST my RELIGION OR BELIEFS IS TO SAY THERE NO God.I was under such stress at this hospital, I had to leave.
I WOULD NOT GO BACK, EVER.
GOING AGAINST Doctors orders should never be taken lightly, however, I had to do it because I was not getting the care I needed or questions answers by any Doctors. ITS ODD AS MY BLOOD PRESURE, HEART,
TEMPERTURE WAS NORMAL AFTER i left and saw my family Doctor.
ONE STAR BECAUSE OF THE YOUNG MALE RN IN TRAINING.

So I'm waiting like everyone does when they come in this place. But I'm waiting to find out whether or not I've lost my baby. I've been waiting for 3 hours. They are letting people in that came in after me. This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional hospital and I'm surprised they have 3 stars. The staff is cold hearted, and the interior is a disaster. I just watched a girl have a seizure in the waiting room and collapse to the floor. 5 mins went by before anyone did anything. You as a whole hospital should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am visiting from Alabama and forgot one of my B/P meds at home my blood pressure was 223/110 when I got to the ER. The place was packed, they had one EMT checking in patients and one RN ATTEMPTING to triage. I explained to the young man my symptoms and gave him my vitals and he just stated that there is a five hour wait. The nurse has no clue how to triage as she let a person with pinkeye, one with a sprained ankle and some dude that s depressed go first. Ummm hello????? STROKE LEVEL PEOPLE!!! I know nothing about the area so I can t go anywhere else but I can promise you these people need to be sued .......so I was able to edit. I am on hour 5, I still haven t seen a provider, they have changed shifts And my blood pressure is still high. I asked the triage nurse to retake it, and she is satisfied with my new reading, which is 197/113. She says, well it has went down well, that s because I took my night time bp med!!!! I am a visitor here and I swear this is the worse service I ve ever had in a health care facility especially since Cali is supposed to be soooo much more advanced than the south. There is a paper taped to the desk talking about they have possible stroke patients seen in 15 minutes or less....I guess the staff that s been working today didn t read that memo.

This hospital is just horrible I was involved in a role over accident on sat May 4th at the scene of the accident myself and my cousin refused the ambulance ride due to the adrenaline rush of what just happened so we went in an hour later we had to sit and wait in the ER for 4 hours in agony before we had any real help they didn't treat us like trama patients like they needed to because my car flipped 4x we could have had internal bleeding yet we were still treated like any other person who was there for the flu or cold

I went with a pulmunary embolism. I was on heavy pain killers and texting to my family members in the er . I knew i was going to be admitted for at least a week and needed to make arrangments for my daughter. The doctor who was going to be caring for me saw me texting, and told the PA in the er that he tjought i should be sent home with the blood clot. The P A told him i would more tgan likely die if they sent me home and that the hospital could not legally send me home with a bi lateral blood clo in both lungs and severe pnuemonia. When this doctor took me into his unit, he refused me pain meds because he said that i was texting and seemed fine. I went over 12 hours with no meds and screamed at the rop of my lungs in pain the entire time. My oncologist had to drive from the valley to demand this doctor treat my pain. On top of that, they tried to send me home after week one. I told them i was in severe pain and couldnt change my position. I had a second opinion come in and run tests. Turns out my pnuemonia was " one more day and id be dead". That second opinion dr. Changed my antibiodics, and in two days i was much better. Im scared of this clinic. They literally used meds to punish me and then after being tortured, they tried to kill me.

I would of gave it zero stars

This hospital is a dump. If you want quality care go somewhere else. They are so understaffed patient care suffers. Some of their nurses are arrogant and have a holier than thou attitude. Avoid at all costs.

I can't really say I enjoy going to hospitals, and I'm not sure what exactly they can do here, but to go in and get something checked or to be referred in what to do next, this hospital is your best bet. The staff is always friendly and they don't just jump the gun and go for surgery on EVERYTHING like another hospital I know.

Theyll let u sit for 3 hours coughing up blood and phlegm in the waiting room then leave you in some random room for 2 more hours. Ive been here over 5 hours and nothing has been done. Why was all this money spent if nobody here knows there butt from a whole in the ground.

My wife was brought in by ambulance for an infection. The tending nurse, March 31st in the Emergency room had been moved from ICU to Emergency. Her care, her forcefulness with her patient, her communication with my wifes family was beyond professional.
Now, here's why I only gave four stars instead of five. 1.. Unlike Henry Mayall hospital whose, food was incredible, the food at Palmdale regional was "not so great". LOL.
I felt that because this is a facility dedicated to cleanliness and health, that the floors and bathrooms needed greater attention. To be perfectly clear. I was recently hospitalized at PalmDale Regency and I too really noticed and filed a complaint with hospital management about this condition. So in this case, I guess no one listens. Personally, if I were running a hospital, I 'd have a full time "MEDICAL HEALTH SUPERINTENDENT", on staff 24/7 for each floor. Keeping floors, beds, bathrooms, etc. sanitized once a day, just because Merca runs rampid in hospitals. Heck, ever looked at your hospital bill? Even after the insurance companies jam them? I think they could work out a better system. Our hospitals are our hope. When the bathrooms, shared by all in the Emergency room look like they always do, that's disgusting.
Just sayn.

The hospital discharged my 74 year old Mom who was still altered from untreated sepsis and did not bother to dress her in street clothing. She arrived home wearing a hospital gown with no undergarments with her shoes sitting in her lap on a cold and cloudy day. About an hour or two before her discharge I brought her clean clothes to wear home. I had set up a driving service to pick her up and bring her home. I did not know this until I saw the driver open the door and there she sat in her hospital gown. She looked like a frightened and confused child. The nursing staff also left all the stickers for the heart monitor on her body.

They have the worst patient care. They dont even reserve the 1 Star. I das a a DEPARMENT they call Wildflower, true to it's name. Wild that's for sure. They have you in and out, almost like saying here is your bandaid leave! I had a killer migraine for 4 days I could not get rid of, not able to keep food down, totally drained and dehydrated. Got moved to regular ER area, but was never put on the list. For 2 hours nothing. We were walking out and a nurse was there and notified of the issue. She talked us to stay, an hour and a half passed and nothing. So we walked out, and told the same nurse, that was ridiculous, no one went. They are awful, and lack communication skills. Also load work on ER nurses and are under staffed. They have no bedside manners, plain and simple, they don't care for their patients well being. At least that's what I felt this past two visits. They concentrate in changing things around so much that from one month to the next, everything changed in ER treatment area. Concentrate better in patient care and bedside manners. Once there was a ER Dr falling asleep while i was telling him about my condition, so much that 2 days later they said they missed to give me antibiotic due to my lab results. That I needed to get ASAP.

Long wait time with only a few patients ahead of me. In 12 hours, no cleaning was done in the waiting room. No spraying, no wipe downs of seats, arm rests, tables, counters or floors. Trash was seen on the floors back where the ER beds are, including half filled urine bottles and bloody gauge pads.Receptionist, and attending nurse and doctor were pleasant and attentive.

I went in with what looked like a second-degree burn and all they did was poor water and put a cream on the burns and prescribe antibiotics but they didn't bother on having a Dr see me or clean the womb well nurse didn't even know if my burn was infected or not. if their service sucked before the pandemic started know its worst

I put in a ten dollar bill in a machine and it ate the money. I went to complain and they did nothing about it. Then I went the next day and I used another machine and put a five dollar bill and it ate the money. I went to complain again and they did nothing.

It s the 2nd time I go there and they never find anything on me. 1st time I spend 12 hours just so that they can tell me they didn t know why I had chest pain. Now again they said they don t know why I was having chest pain, headaches and blurred vision. They were going to discharge me with no results. I asked to get results. After doing one last scan they were going to send me home. They couldn t give me pain medicine until I had been waiting for 4 hours. No COVID testing and no urine test neither. A new employee gave me my results and went on my results with me. Some of my result levels were higher than normal and said not to worry it s just a little over than normal.

This is the worst experience I ever had taking a family member to a hospital. The lack of compassion and apathy from the ER staff is one reason this hospital should not be in business providing care for patient. We spent 8 hours waiting in the lobby and never able to see a doctor. Karen the charge nurse and the admitting staff in the front keeps on giving us run around. They kept on saying they are cleaning the assigned room. 2 hrs later the room is still not ready. It got so uncomfortable just waiting that we have to leave. There ought to be a law prohibiting hospitals like Palmdale Regional Medical Center getting paid from any insurance or any government paying agency for rendering such a horrible service. I rather drive down to LA than coming to Palmdale Regional Medical Center. I wonder how they are still in business with all the bad reviews.

My GF and and I are both disabled and we have made...

My GF and and I are both disabled and we have made several trips via ambulance to Palmdale Regional. Each visit was a mix of good and bad. I was taken via ambulance for a severe cellulitis infection where my leg looked like a major rainbow bruise. The hospitalist saw me once about 12 hours after being taken to the ER. I also have a very bad back and laying on a gurney for hours is agony. They finally decided to admit me. It took another 3 hours to get settled so they could/would bring me any pain meds. They wanted to give me Tylenol and I had to fight for something stronger as I told them the neurosurgeon treating me has me on morphine and dilaudid. FINALLY I got the dilaudid.

They antibiotic they gave me via IV did not perform the overnight miracle the hospitalist must have expected and he wanted to send me home with an oral antibiotic. LUCKILY the charge nurse was very concenrend and asked an infectious disease specialis,t Dr Cown, to see me. Dr Cowan, a REAL doctor BTW, looked at my leg and said "Uh hell no. He is staying here", and he put me on a MUCH stronger antibiotic. The morning of the second day he was not as satisfied as he was hoping to be so he asked my if I would mind a PICC line. (A PICC line is a large bore IV line inserted through a small incision in the upper am and fed up the arm inside the vein, across the chest and to a large vein directly above the heart. It is a 100% painless procedure done right in the hospital room. You cannot feel any part of the procedure and Theresa from radiology is extremely skilled and not at all bad on the eyes either) I spent a full week in the hospital getting 2 doses every day and then after returning home, I continued the regiment myself for 2 more qweeks. Then a home health care nurse came to the house and remove the line simply by untaping it and pulling it out. Not one bit of pain and really no sensation at all. It MIGHT be a bifficult for some squeamish folks even though there MAY be only a couple drops of blood. I am not the least bit squeamish so it was no problem for me.

There have been several more good/bad incidents.over the last 5 years.

I waited 5 and a half hours to be seen for my ear infection that i already knew i had.
After being called i was placed in a hallway they never checked on me they all just talked, laughed and walked by as i cried from pain. Finally when the doctor came, he was there only 2 minutes. I cried from excruciating pain for 7 hours really. I dont really think they care for our health or us they're just there for a pay check.

This place is horrible. I've had to go there on 3 different occasions. The last time they saw us fairly fast by someone that was not a Dr. (not that I think a Dr. would have been any better) said my son had a bad ear infection, but didn't even bother to look up his nose when that's why we brought him in for a bad nose bleed. they gave me meds, took them to the pharmacy and had it not been for the pharmacist my son would have been taking double the suggested antibiotics. The pharmacist had to call them back and have them change the medication. That attending physician saw us for about 2 minutes if that. and the bill was $1203.00. And then the billing department is so rude and horrible too. I just called to get medical records and had to leave a message. I wonder how long I'll be waiting for a call back. What a shame that this hospital offers such poor service. if this continues this place will eventually close down, and hundreds of jobs will be lost.

They left me laying in my bed with no pain medicine after a 10 hour back surgery including all of my nerves and scar tissue scraped and reattached. The nurses all smiled while telling me they were sorry that the computer kept changing medicine orders. After pre-admission to the hospital they kept coming up with my medical records from 10 years ago, including the surgeon that worked in me. After 3 months I recieved a bill from a doctor from 10 years ago? Nurses were nice but service almost killed me, my husband forcefully had to being me home after 4 days of screaming in pain. (BEWARE OF THE GHOST DOCTORS THAT CHANGE YOUR ORDERS HERE! )

Dr. Sisto fixed my knee there. The place was brand new. The staff was great. And the doctor really knows his stuff. I would recommend him and the hospital to anyone. You can't blame a hospital for the clientele.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ve been sitting in the ER for over 11 hours. I asked one of the nurses at the front desk for an update and she said all of my tests were done, blood test, urine sample and CT scan, but yet i haven t even talked to or seen a doctor.

I learned a very important lesson that medi cal disn't tell me, you have to use your insurance regularly because if it stays idle for 6 months , they will assume you aren't using it and drop it and then you got a HUGE bill to pay . By the way , I was close to death because the staff thought I was overreacting to bad stomach pains but turns out my blood work showed that my appendix was about to burst and you know damn right they took me seriously , it was alright service . sucks I'm in debt .

This hospital and its staff are simply wonderful. Especially Marie in the emergency room. I had an emergency medical situation with my gallbladder which caused other complications. From the moment I walked into the emergency room their nurses and staff took care of me very well. The wait in the emergency room was very short compared to any hospital I've ever been in. From admittance to surgery to outpatient, I have never been treated so well in my entire life. For my entire stay at the hospital I felt genuinely cared for. And I have been to alot of hospitals, as alot of my family members were elderly and my wife and I have 4 kids so I'm very familiar with being in hospitals. So take it from me, this hospital is wonderful caring and simply amazing. They saved my life and restored my health and I cannot thank them enough. These low score reviews are bogus.

It was a easy process getting check-in, and then going through the process of nurses doing there job to see what I have, and all the steps to check-out. I really felt that the staff was there for my health and not just another statement. All nurses that pass would ask if I was okay. First time being there and I never felt like that in previous hospitals.
