It is a fun little place to take the family. It is a little small but with covid they have distanced the tables so it is now more roomy. The one complaint I have about this place is they will sometimes rush you out. So I feel if u want to take the time to be creative u might have to take it home because if it goes past the time they want to allot to you they will tell you times up goodbye.

I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely go back again and again!

Cute shop with a good selection of pottery and paints! Staff was friendly and the ice cream and coffee was delicious!

Loved this place! My first time going and the staff was super awesomeand funny lol It was super crowded, but still worth the visit. I hope to go again soon when I'm not so broke lol

I am not crafty but I always have fun here making my own creations! So much fun to make something I get to keep and enjoy or giggle about at home depending on how it turns out!

Took my 2 year old for a mommy daughter date. They had lots of fun options for her to choose from. We enjoyed Icecream and painted. They had a wonderful coffee bar as well as food optipns for you and your little ones. The staff was very helpful and friendly!

What a great time :-) A table full of friends and family, laughing, talking, and creating together. The only time mobiles were used was to get painting ideas from Pintrest. A two year family tradition during the holidays and there will be many more to come.

What a great place to spend with the grandkids on a rainy day. Loved the atmosphere, the wonderful ladies who work there, great ice cream and fantastic coffee.
We will be back often.

Well priced. But the way they have the seats set up makes it very hard to move around. Also it's very open so everyone can hear your conversation.

A huge variety of different things to paint, and everyone there is very kind and helpful.

Really enjoyed my time here, spent 3 hours and it felt like 30 minutes, and I'm normally not a creative person.

Nice place but everything is over priced, most of the stuff is from china too!just flip it over and it says. Half the price and it'd be all better. Nice staff.

Such a fun and exciting experience. Definitely alot better if you have more art skills, but having your own masterpiece that you created is awesome. Definitely makes for good memories. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it. They also have food and drinks, I recommend the almond Joy mocha. It was amazing.

Great place to have a date with or without our child. Very friendly and great hosts. Coffee is excellent also. You have to try. You will end up coming back for more.

It is very exciting place to go with love ones, friends,family. Kids will love it too. They serve cofee,tea or even ice cream. The staff is friendly and helpful too. The painting stuff is cool and very enjoyable.

The girls who work here are so patient and helpful. This is a great place to get creative and relax. Try the starving artist snacks, and let the girls mix up a fizzy drink for you! Then paint away!

Absolutely love it here! Great for a date with friends. The staff always helps when there are little ones and you're trying to do handprints or footprints. It's my go to place for special gifts! Such a great environment and I always see family/birthday parties!!!!

Underwhelmed by my burrito, the grilled firebird. The service was very slow, there were only 3 other tables with customers and my drink refill still took 10 minutes to get. We'll not be going back.

This is such a fun place for adults and kids. You can paint a plate, a cup, animal magnets, animal piggy banks, wall decorations, signs, and plenty more. Some prices are high but they have a great selection of low priced items. There is ice cream, coffee, Italian sodas, and more nummy things to enjoy while you paint.

I love this place! My husband and I go here to paint pottery every few months. They have a nice selection of pottery to choose from, well organized work stations, reasonable prices, and helpful employees. Their coffee and snacks are good. I felt the snacks were priced a little high, but since that's not their main business I'm fine with it, and I do appreciate that they offer it. You can make reservations or just show up, but if you have a large group you should definitely make a reservation. The place is pretty tightly packed, so if you're a wheelchair user I'd suggest calling ahead so they can clear space at a table for you.

Lots of options for adults looking for something different or families with their eye on the next piece of kid art to proudly display. Need a personalized gift for someone going away? Here's your place. Get out of the house call for a reservation and take your best gal/guy out for something better than dinner and a movie.

This is a great place for girls night out, date nights, or a kids birthday party. If you have a big party, or want to come on the weekend it's best to reserve a table ahead.

I'm not an artist by any means, but I'm always very happy with the pieces I create. It helps to do some Pinterest searching for inspiration first.

So much fun with my grandkids. They give great instructions to help insure your success.

It was a fantastic time! We will do this again, so much fun!! I can't wait to see how our cups turned out, I know I'm going to tell others about the great fun we had!

When we got to the Painted Plate we had great service. We took my Mother-In-Law from Hawaii there and we all had painted pieces. When we left we were handed our receipt with the date of the earliest date to come back and pick up our pieces. Our lives are super busy so we waited to come and pick up our pieces because we live in Federal Way. We went back to the Painted Plate to pick up our pieces and were told they threw them away. So you need to be aware that they throw your pieces away if you do not come pick them up within 30 days. We never got a phone call from them to tell us this, we were never told this when we checked out. Also, to pick up your pieces you do need a receipt. Again, this was not mentioned to us at check out either. Very frustrating driving from Federal Way to Olympia to find out we need a receipt. We were going to mail the plate my mother-in-law made to Hawaii in September for her birthday. Super sad over this situation and that we will not go back. I just wished the Painted Plate would have had better customer service and call us before they threw the pieces out. If our time was coming up, a reminder call would be have been super helpful!

This was such an awesome place. We all can be childlike at any age.

Staff are very sweet and helpful, the snacks are pricey but yummy. A little more direction would have been nice but overall has a great time.

Great place to hang out on a wet afternoon. They have wine/beer and food available. Tons of items to paint. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite activities! Friendly staff and delicious appetizers make it the perfect beginning to date night. I also love to bring the kids I nanny in for ice cream and painting!

I took my sweet 7 year old neice here and had so much fun!
The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and creative. The staff was really helpful and so kind to my sweet girl.
I was even able to pick up my pottery a few minutes before opening one day while they were cleaning up.
I highly reccomended getting your creative painting on here. So fun!

Always a great experience. A little expensive for my budget but they have great date night and parent-child date deals that make it more affordable.

Great place for an occasional date night. Not an artist myself, but I found it to be a lot of fun regardless. Possibly a little bit pricey, but they take care everything for you. It gets very busy at peak times, so plan to go in on a weekday if you want a quieter painting experience with less kids around.

We had a great time at painted plate. They are right next to The Washington Center for Performing Arts so right after watching Swan Lake we took the kids to Painted Plate for an icecream and to paint a ceramic. Very nice helpful people there and reasonable prices too.

Great place. Prices are a little high, but nice place, good variety of items to choose from. We had Justine help us and she was excellent. We had a party of 8 and she was amazing.

It was fun and exciting. They were packed, it was Saturday. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Been there several times, always great. Awesome place for birthday parties.

Painted Plate feels like family. I love how friendly and helpful the staff is, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are great at nurturing creativity. There is a huge selection of pieces to paint and the store is covered in fresh inspiration pieces painted by the owner and staff. Take the time to look at all these amazing pieces if you need some ideas for your own project. Also try the Chai! Batdorf & Bronson is SO good and it tastes even better in the one of a kind, hand painted cup you'll get it in! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Great staff! Took our granddaughter and had a wonderful time.

They had out side seating and a very nice selection of green ware to paint. They were very helpful in color selection. We had a most excellant visit and the process of creating a work of art is very relaxing plus you get to pick up the finished product in only about 2 weeks after it is fired. This is our 3rd trip together here. It makes a good family adventure.

This is a quaint little place loacted in downtown Olympia. You pick an item made out of clay and paint it, decorate it and give it back to them for baking. They will get it back in 2 to 3 days. You can oersonize those items such as coffee mugs, plates etc. They also sell capuchino and ice creams.

Absolutely love this place! All the supplies you will need are provided. The basic supplies are on your table, but be sure to browse through the containers of supplies on the shelves in the center of the room. The staff are friendly and helpful and can offer guidance in achieving a specific design or style. There is a wide selection of items to paint in a range of prices. Finished items are on display and can be used for inspiration. Plus, there are several tasty items to snack on: ice cream and savory small plates.

Had a great time painting here even though I'm not really the artistic type. Simple instructions are given before painting by staff. They also serve delicious ice cream. Bowls, mugs, etc. that you paint are not made in house. There was a made in China logo on the ones my group received. The experience overall was quite relaxing and the interior is very pretty.

Great place to make cool plates, cookie jars, mugs and much more. I really enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend it if u need something to do.

The last piece I worked on, I made too complicated but, they'll let you come back to finish it at a later date. I thought that was super sweet!

This is my favourite pottery painting shop I've ever been to by far...beyond the great options for parties and basic work - you will find people making seriously gorgeous stuff. They offer classes during the colder months - excellent for taking your skills to another level or just creating something planned out in advance.
Street parking is easy here.
I can't recommend Painted Plate highly enough!!

Lovely experience! A little bit expensive, but it's worth it. Painting is so relaxing, and the snacks are great too. All the staff are very nice and helpful and it's great for special occasions.

I took my 1st grade son to paint a gift for his grandma. We also had ice cream :) It was a creative, fun, easy hour of entertainment and my mom loved the gift. Highly recommend and will be coming back for date night.

My coworkers and I went as a work outing, and we loved it. When we arrived, our reserved space was clearly marked, and everything was set up and ready to go for our party of 10. Everyone painted an ornament and had a glass of wine, a beer, or an ice cream cone. A couple of people brought their children too, and they had fun as well. Great atmosphere, lots of beautiful works of art for inspiration. I made a Fortnite-inspired unicorn for my 14 year old, and I think he's going to get a kick out of it. Fun group activity, would definitely do it again!

We had an amazing time here! And not to mention the fact that they have tasty treats to eat while you paint the day away.
