Pagoda Resort, Alleppey, Kerala Review

Food quality and service is very bad . The quantity of food they serve is very little . Lots of complaints from customer and even electrician meeting they supplied less any of non veg . . Please do not arrange any type of event here

Very Good rooms and amenities are also good condition food quality excellent

Ambience is good but the cleanliness in room and pool was little low.

If I have seen other hotels in the city may be I would have given more than two starting. Hotel may be started as three but with my experience over there I only start two. Good swimming pool, gym area, garden and bar. They say it as hot water but I say it as lukewarm water. Sounds and disturbances. I didn't like good.

I stayed at Pagoda resorts for two nights in January week 3 of 2018. The scenic beauty of the place engulfs you to a dreamland. While booking the place, the manager explained with great deal of patience the best offer.
My challenge was noisy window air-conditioner. The mechanic offered to not only fix the noise problem bit change the room. After another change, I was offered a smaller room but with split ac.
The energy of the place is worth experiencing. The amenities are more than sufficient even in a standard room. The swimming has two attendants who constantly clean the falling dry leaves.
The cottages are state of the art. The restaurant offers a lavish spread of both North & South Indian cuisine with continental food as well.
In all, the place is more value for your money.
I highly recommend it over any other hotel property in Alappuzha.

Pagoda is a kind of Resort where people will like to stay when in Alleppy. I stayed here in 2015 and again in July this year i visited and stayed for 3 days n 2 nights with a family of 15 members. Just everything is Fabulous here, Rooms Staff, Restaurant, Pool and Parking , Just Great.

But they should improve their service ..

Bar could have been much better.. but that was the only bar we could find in that locality

Excellent place to stay at Allepy..very near to the beach..around 15mins drive...
The key takeaway was the food served in the restaurant at very reasonable rate.
Was not expecting so authentic North Indian food here, but was amazed to have the buffet dinner which comprised of paneer butter masala, aloo mutter etc prepared with authentic NI taste..
The rooms are clean , spacious and service was good as well. The staff is very courteous ..

Good -
1) Property location is good, hotel look is heritage.

Bad-
1) Managed like a lodge/ ordinary hotel as number of staff looks small and all staff doing everything and you can see same staff on reception, restaurant, handling luggage, house keeping and room service.
2) Room supplies, linen etc are poor quality. When requested, they replaced with fresh one. Cushions are even torn.
3) Room/ Washroom cleaning not good untill you show them each corner to clean.
4) Only 2 set of tea bags/milk powder/ sugar is supplied in room in a day. If you ask for more they will reply ' It is chargeable.
5) About 100 rooms but small restaurant. You have to wait or grab a table like you do in shopping mall food court. As restaurant hall is small, too noisy due to rush.
6) Food is good but Tea is pathetic. Menu rate are reasonable.
They need to spend on renovation, change of utilities, training of staff etc.

Stayed here but observed that TV is not working only DD channel and it was in damaged condition, mosquitoes are in room, seems rooms are not maintained

We had a bad time with this hotel... No hot water. Tv is there but no channels.... Wifi username and password is there but no connection.... Never choose this hotel

Its not a resort. Its just a hotel. They have no resort like facilities available.

Resort is very spacious with all facilities. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable & pleasant. Swimming pool is clean.
Good varieties of food in breakfast. Room service also good. Overall good experience staying there.

Hotel is very decent in look wise but cannot say that about the food preparation inside the hotel. Rooms are pretty good but lacks proper house keeping. Morning hot water problem for people who don't like bathing in cold water.

Good rooms and location . Great hospitality by staff and very comfortable stay .

The spa is a sham! Had a full body massage and shirodara. The oil must be recycled as I broke out into a terrible rash the next day and my face was swollen for almost a week. Others in the group also started getting break outs now. We have been in India for 20 days and nothing of the sort happened until we went to Pagoda. Will NOT recommend the spa!

There are lots of improvements in relation to all the negative comments I read earlier. They received the baggages at our arrival, there is hot water as you please, not sure of the pool but looked cloudy. Restaurant servers good food but due to some maintenance work they were not serving a la carte.. but after a healthy arguement with the manager, we were served at our cottage. Beer is served at 160 they have a beer bar too. The restaurants constantly kept hanging up when we tried to order and we were delivered the restaurant menu (which was supposed to be in the room) after the 11th call. We kept getting toyed around between the restaurant and the reception with no one taking responsibility to deliver the menu card. The resort has good potential but poor management.

I don't like the service hereAlso online booking didn't give me room change. The old seafood was given to me as I was told to give it fresh food and fish.

I liked the hotel. It is in the main city. Room and bathroom are spacious. Very big premises. Lift & parking facility available. Market are nearby, so everything is available at walking distance.

A good hotel to spend some time, although no welcome drinks was offered. Swimming pool is good the hotel area and interior was also good. The rooms where good and also they had nice views. The tariff was normal and food quality was okay.

Very worst service. Treat each customer differently. No proper wash room and other services. Worst. Bad AC. I paid big amount to get bad service. Same day visited 1000rs room which had all the facilities and provide good service. Worst of worst. If 0 rating I can give I would have given in minus.

We went for a marriage reception. Altogether arrangement was nice. Parking facility is also avaliable.
