I was attempting to attain old medical records and staff was very rude. I asked to double check the records to make sure everything was there. The staff refused to let me review my own medical records. Which, I do believe is not allowed by law because they are my personal records. Then when I asked for help explaining some of the hospital notes the medical records lady turned her back and walked away. Not a good experience!

Had to get a hip replacement. Not an ideal situation, but I can say this is hands down the best treatment I have received anywhere.

Every member of the medical team has a singular focus, and the specialization of the facility lends itself to their central mission.

Cannot make a higher endorsement of any medical center.

I have been under the care of Dr. Steiburg and P.A. Tom Spendlar for the past 7 yrs.
I have had back and neck problems for a long time. I know I'll never be out of pain for the rest of my life, however these two, very caring men have kept me out of most of my pain.
I have never had doctors that really listen to me. They know that I know my body better than they do, and they take what I have to say.
They give me several options to treat my pain.
I will never go any other ortho docs.
They are truely a 1stop shop, they have their own hospitals, doctors offices on side of city.

Give these guys a chance! You won't regret it, I promise you this.

Sencerly Yours,
John. P. Mckenna

My mom needed her knee checked out and Dad had liked this place. Met with Dr. Berrios last week (nice guy) and wanted us to meet with knee surgeon today. Dr. Millikan. EXCELLENT bedside manner. Really nice and explained everything to my folks. We pretty much knew what needed to be done, but he seemed like the type that wouldn't steer you wrong and only wants the best for his patients. Now I don't know about all of the other doctors there, but Dr. Millikan was top notch. I hope you all can meet with him if you end up here. Keep up the great work sir. With kindness like yours, you'll go far. You REMEMBER the oath you took as a physician. Thank you again.

Just inconsiderate, disorganized, and not patient ...

Just inconsiderate, disorganized, and not patient friendly. - this was written probably a year ago.

Additionally, I tried emailing the customer service email over 2 months ago with no response. The customer service is extremely poor. No one seems to be able to call me or my insurance company. I have been trying to settle a bill for over a year now.

My one piece of advice is make sure OrthoIndy approves your MRIs or anything with you have done with your insurance company prior to it happening.

My most recent update... Finally after over a year of having everyone at OrthoIndy try to make me pay an absurd amount for my MRIs, because they did not preauthorize them with my insurance company, the balance has been taken off my account. I spoke to close to 20 people who all told me that I would have to pay this balance even though it was their fault. After a year someone from OrthoIndy finally called my insurance company and settled this. Safe to say I have learned my lesson.

The staff here has been absolutely amazing. My dad had knee surgery here and I cannot say enough good things about the kindness, attention, compassion, and knowledge of every single staff member we've interacted with, from the doctors to the nurses to the administrators to the cafeteria cooks. I hate hospitals and typically have extreme anxiety when visiting them, but I have felt at ease here the entire day. Thank you, staff! Thank you so much. You guys are awesome.

Ortho Indy has the most amazing staff. I have several Drs and they have all brought me from being in an external fixator (not once but twice) after dislocating my knee and a ruptured artery to being able to walk again. I have had multiple surgeries to get to where I am today. My main Drs are Dr Sheid (knee)Dr Litner (knee and shoulder) Dr Lehman (foot) and Dr Pomaroy (knee replacement) I will never use any other group of Drs outside of Ortho Indy.

I made an appointment yesterday to have my injured knee looked at. I arrived a few minutes early for my 9:30 appointment. I was greeted at the front desk very nicely and escorted to where I needed to be. After being handed some paperwork to complete, I sat in that waiting room for 45 minutes until I was told the Doctor wanted to do some x-rays. I then was escorted to another waiting room where I spent another 25 minutes before I walked out. I think over an hour of waiting is rude and inconsiderate. If I make an appointment, with anybody, I would hope they would value my time as much as they do their own. This obviously wasn't the case that day at OrthoIndy. I wont be back.

Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. This place ...

Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. This place is only out to get your money, and will not listen to what your problem is in general. The doctor that I was seeing for my stress fracture, did not appear to even know what he was talking about.. and 9 months later (after no recommendations or follow-ups) I got another one! I went back (shame on me) and the Doctor then said "well, insanity would tell you that doing the same thing over and over again with the same results..." meaning I CAN NEVER RUN AGAIN. Who says that to a patient? He never offered follow-up care, solutions, anything.. I'm 25 and healthy.. never bothered to check into anything more. AND he messed up and requested the wrong xrays for me.. made me retake them, AND billed me for ALL OF THE XRAYS which I am still fighting the bill for.

If you don't want to be swept under the rug, treated like crap by the staff, and charged crazy amounts for doctors that know nothing.. please do not go here. I hope my review can at least help one person.

I've been going here and seeing Dr. Randolph since June of 2018. Everyone has been very respectful and I've never had a problem with any of the staff. He has always kept it real and never sugar coated anything with what was going on with my injury. He tried to prevent me from having surgery but due to my job (I'm not going to mention their name) being inconsistent with everything, it eventually caused me to have surgery January of 2019. He did give the choice to keep trying PT, which obviously didn't work out. I am still in Dr. Randolph's care and would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks for doing what's in my best interest and not the company's!!

Ortho Indy has some very good physicians and some ...

Ortho Indy has some very good physicians and some not so good physicians and staff. My concern with the practice is they don t even do feedback or phone calls to their patients to learn about their experience at Ortho Indy. Any one of us who works in healthcare knows that patient feedback is crucial to improving care of the patient.

I ve just seen to many drops in the ball as well from the PA, to the front desk, to the person calling us back to approve and set up my procedure and to educate us. No one seemed to know if the procedure was under fluoroscopy or conscious sedation even when I asked each person point blank and what meds were being used. Then I came to the procedure to find out that I needed to be NPO, they were dropping an IV, and I was getting conscious sedation. Good thing I m in healthcare and don t getting IV s. This unacceptable care for any patient. Even more what about creating better paper instructions for patients getting these procedures. Some of these procedures are very cookie cutter not like emergent procedures which even then you still educate patients on.

Come on Ortho Indy you can do better than this especially for 2020! This isn t the 80 s where you could only call patients for their feedback after procedures. We have secure app technology like My Chart that runs on EMR s like Epic that patients can get sent forms, fill them out, and still follow HIPPA.

Let s focus on patient centric care more in 2020 and stop displaying just physicians on almost every social posts that get no comments from anybody! Focus more on your patients and watch social media interaction improve. Hope this post helps future patients get better care!

Orthoindy was amazing. I needed two spine surgeries. And each one went perfectly. AND they were very nice.

I first went to a different spine group and waited at least 3 hours for each appointment. The actual doctor saw me for 3 minutes and ordered all the same tests that were in my file because, if their office doesn t do the tests, they won t help me.

I would not recommend the care of this facility or...

I would not recommend the care of this facility or Dr. Williams. My mother fractured her wrist in October. Her initial visit with Dr. Heather Williams was no longer than 5 minutes at best. She gave my mother the option for surgery but did not stress either way if that was the better option for her fractured wrist. When my mother tried asking her a question regarding the use of creams (aspercreme) Dr. Williams interrupted her before she could finish and told her no Chinese Herbal Medicine. I'm sure she was be presumptive and racist because my mother is Korean. Either way it was very off putting. Today was my mom's follow up visit after being in a hard cast for 4 weeks. Dr. Williams walked in quickly and asked "Remind me why we didn't do surgery?" When I reminded her that she gave her the option, she glossed over and said because my mother was frightened when asked the first time and she doesn't force it upon her patients. I asked if it was an option now and she said it was "too late, it's already healed" Again, if surgery would have been the better option why did she not stress it then? I asked for a copy of her X-rays and my mother was trying to be polite and tell her that we were going to get a 2nd opinion from an orthopedist from Harvard at Mass Gen, she immediately said he "would for sure recommend surgery." I'm not sure what's more frightening to a patient: tell them surgery is in their best interest or come back in 6 weeks after pt and we will evaluate. If surgeries needed, we'll re-break the bone??

If I could give this facility no stars I would. I will however remain respectful and not mention the doctors name. The check out was horrible I did all the required information on online and then had to come in and do it all over again. The receptionist were nasty and rude not professional at all. When I was finally seen by the dr it was less than 10 mins. I was told to return in 2 weeks just for him to take another 10 mins for the visit and told me the exact same information without asking about improvement. I had to remind him what he said. Wanted me to come back again in 2 weeks. I stopped coming because at tphis I felt my money was being taken and sure brought I was charged $210 per visit. I will not use this facility again. I would definitely research before you go especially the doctors

I've been seen by two different physicians/surgeon...

I've been seen by two different physicians/surgeons at their main office location and all I can say is, what a disappointment to their follow-up care and overall well-being of their patients.

I was seen by Dr. Fisher in November 2019 for issues with both knees. I chose Dr. Fisher because he had performed a hip revision for me back in August 1999, which I was totally satisfied with the outcome and it lasted for 14 years.

Dr. Fisher scoped both of my knees at the same time and repaired the torn meniscus in my right knee. After approximately 10 days I started experiencing severe pain in the right knee and I couldn't keep the swelling down, no matter how long I kept ice on it. I called the office and told them my situation and since he had a cancellation, he was able to see me the next day. Dr. Fisher drained approximately a pint of fluid off of my right knee and gave me a cortisone shot that nearly made me jump off the exam table.

After a few days, I started experiencing pain where he had given me the cortisone shot and called his office. Since he was booked and couldn't see me for at least a month, he called in a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medication which I never took. Simple reason being, I knew this pain was more than inflammation and no anti-inflammatory medication that has ever been prescribed for me over the past 40 years has ever relieved pain! Needless to say, the pain in my right knee has gotten 100% worse than when I saw Dr. Fisher regarding said knee.

I was also seen by Dr. Sigua at this very same location for cervical spine issues. The course of action recommended by Dr. Sigua was to have yet more injections in my cervical spine as the two injections I had back in 2016 were not injected deep enough. I was reluctant to have this procedure performed again, mainly due to the out-of-pocket costs and the lack of relief I had received from the previous procedure.

I went ahead with the procedure and the outcome was exactly the same as it was 3 years previously. During my follow-up visit with Dr. Sigua, he recommended a consultation with a spine surgeon and stated someone would call and set up an appointment with a surgeon from their clinic. After 3 months past, I never heard from anyone and decided to call his office. Naturally, what was stated in his notes and what we discussed were two entirely different scenarios. According to his notes, I was supposed to follow-up seeking out an appointment with a spine surgeon.

The really sad part about my visit with Dr. Siqua's office is the simple fact that they keep billing me for services rendered that I've already paid in full, and on a retiree's income!

I've decided to reach out to the Mayo Clinic and see if I can receive better care and treatment from physicians/surgeons that "really" have your best interest at heart when it comes to your overall health!

I had surgery here two years ago and wound up in worse shape than when I first visited. After a solid year of visiting monthly, numerous scans and x-rays and attending physical therapy I was told that the surgery was not successful and I would need at least 2 more. Now I have been attempting to get my medical records sent to another doctor but have been getting the run around for two months. I will never trust this organization for any of my medical needs again.

In the beginning they seemed to help, then I had a hip implant removed and a spacer put in. Let me tell ya it is so painful. 6 wks of antibiotics thru a picc line. I was so sick I threw up every day. That includes my pain meds. I have had to call an ambulance 3 times. So, I called and told my pain management dr. Unfortunately they have let me suffer for over a wk now. I wished they had this thing in them for just a day so they can see how painful it is... just disappointed.

I had an appointment at 2:45 PM on 5-11-2016. I arrived at 2:00pm. They lady at the far right at the front desk ask me for my driver's license then told me to have a seat. Approximately 2 minutes later she yelled my name "Chester" The girl to the right of her looked at her and they both started laughing. When I walked up the girl was laughing to the point she dropped my license on the floor. I bent over and picked it up in pain. I was rear ended and in alot of back pain, neck pain and having migraines. I'm a disabled veteran. I Fought in the Iraq war after post 911. I defended this country. I don't appreciate being made fun of by two young immature employees (girls).

The customer service I received on multiple occasions has been terrible. They have a sign that reads if you re waiting for more than 15 minutes to let them know so they can move you up. I had an appointment when they first opened and had to wait over an hour then reschedule.

I finally got an MRI but never received the results or an explanation. I then had to drive to 86th to get my results then make an appointment so someone could explain the results and give me options which I was then charged for despite the appointment taking less than 5 minutes.

I must say I wish other medical places got with OrthoIndy to learn how to schedule and organize visits.
Without exception every single time I've had an appointment things have run like an extremely well made watch.
Check in is fast and easy, go to waiting area and barely sit down and you're called to be taken to x-ray. X-ray staff efficiently take the pics and you barely sit down in waiting and they call you to take you to an exam room. Again you barely sit down and there's a knock on the door by the doctor. From check in to check out took a total of 28 minutes today. And yet I never felt rushed, I could ask any questions or talk to anyone and never feel like they're rushing to get to the next patient. Well. Oiled. Machine.

Do Not Go Here!! Simply calling and asking to make an appointment - THEY WILL REFUSE SERVICE AGAINST THE DISABLED. They will taunt you and refuse to make your appointments over the phone! HORRIBLY RUDE STAFF, will NOT simply make you an appointment and treat you like a patient needing to be cared for. Nasty Attitudes - I recorded their disgusting way they treated me when I asked to make an appointment. I also have evidence of their rude legal 'dude' Corby or whoever, refusing service and accommodation to a disabled woman. He could barely introduce himself properly on the phone, let alone understand that -

In other words. I was denied goods and services and was not permitted to benefit in the same type of care level that others received.

It is both SAD and DEGRADING to have to BEG for your healthcare even when you have insurance.

This place will NOT listen to their patients and will REFUSE treatment if you try to have a DISCUSSION about your condition. I have been going for over 6 weeks... possibly up to 3 months... and still like a chicken with its head cut off... squack! Help! My back hurts! And getting nowhere due to lack of their ability to communicate with the patient. VS. using diagnostic overshadowing. So, no type of treatment of any kind has occurred. Only go away.

I am in pain. I am seeking treatment for severe lower and upper back pain. I am sure my problem is related to Malalignment Syndrome as described by Dr. Wolf Schamberger. You can read his book free on Amazon for 7 days to learn more about Malalignment Syndrome and how it can affect spine and hip pain.
I have one leg shorter than the other by about 1.5", causing an upslip in hip rotation which at times seems to 'catch' in my lower back. This is where I have arthritis problems already. When this occurs the pain will take my breath away, and nearly drop me to my knees.

I call for an appointment and they play games on the phone with me like they are mentally ill.

I hope you think about your rights to have a thorough discussion about your case and have your situation taken seriously wherever you go.

Our experience at OrthoIndy hospital was phenomenal from start to finish. My son broke his leg and had surgery with dr Bates. He is a class act from start to finish. He was empathetic to my concerns, and explained everything he did and would do in surgery in a way my son could understand. My son fell in love with the registration staff and wants to visit them at every follow up. Hailey was so sweet with him. She is a shining star at OrthoIndy. Would recommend this doctor and facility to absolutely anyone.

These ladies made my stay comfortable, they showed empathy, a true representation of "GREAT SERVICE ". I work in Customer Service and they displayed great customer service. The Therapy group was wonderful too. Hats off to the above mentioned ladies and gents. I will boast and brag about the staff here and would highly recommend this location. They are are part of the problem. Ortho Indy bills you (and your insurance) for doctors visits that never happen. I just got my bill and it says I met with such and such doctor on a specific date. The problem is I NEVER was seen by that doctor. I was seen by a PA. This unethical way of doing business is part of the reason why medical bills are so costly. This place is dishonest and should be avoided. I am being treated at the spine institute now.

After 2 hip replacements at Lafayette Orthopedic and 3 years of pain, I went to OrthoIndy seeking relief. Dr Maar gave me a normal life back. I've been pain free for 6 years now. Earlier this year, I developed pretty severe back pain. I saw Dr O'neill. He performed outpatient surgery and eliminated the pain. I can't say enough good things about everyone at OrthoIndy, including all the nurses and staff. Everyone is polite, professional, and the time they take with you makes you feel like they really care about you as a patient.

My appointment was a waste, both in time and money. I was scheduled to see Dr. Hupfer based on a recommendation to have my hip looked at by a Sport Medicine specialist (not specifically referred to him). The technician and assistant that I met with were courteous and listened when I discussed my symptoms and what steps had already been taken to address the symptoms. It was clear from the start that Dr. Hupfer did not review my records or the notes taken by his assistant related to my issues. He seemed oblivious that I'd already worked with a spine specialist, had surgery and completed physical therapy. He suggested those very same things. Everytime I attempted to answer questions or tell him about my symptoms, he interjected. Of my 2 or more hours in the building (maybe 5 mins in the waiting room), I spent 5 minutes or less with this doctor before he was on his feet and out the door.

I was first seen by Dr. Travis Welch who diagnosed me with several spinal issues.
He explained all of my conditions extremely well. He was very professional and recommended I have an Lamenectomy to relieve the severe syatic pain. I had the surgery at the Northwest OrthoIndy hospital in 2017.
Although I still have significant back pain the syatic pain has been drastically reduced. The surgery was performed by Dr. Deitz. My after care pain management doctor has been Dr. Jasper also with OrthoIndy. He has done a tremendous job of helping me manage my pain and improve my quality of life. I have referred numerous friends and acquaintances and will continue to in the future.

I visited Dr. Hupfer for shoulder pain after previous attempts by other physicians weren't working. Dr. Hupfer was outstanding in how he described the reason I was in pain and my alternatives to treat it. He was very cordial and took the time to make me feel comfortable. I must say his skill in shoulder injections must be the best as I am pain free for the first time in 1 1/2 years.

SUPER SLOW!!! I went in because I was recommended by my doctor. The appointment was made and when I got there, they didn t know which side of the waiting room to send me on because they weren t sure if the doctor was there or not. My appointment was at 12:45 and I got there right at 12:45. Currently it is 1:30 and I am still waiting. I have seen patients that got here after I did be called back and finished as I sit here. They have called probably about 10 people that got here long after I did back. So frustrating.
Update: got called to by a woman and followed her, she handed me some pants and told me to change and then I was sent to yet another waiting room.
