This hotel is amazing.

Our experience was enhanced by the fact that due to an issue with the booking we had access to the Ellis Collection room(which would be worth paying the extra).

I first had a delux double room. Which was OK 3,5 star for the price. I booked online and paid extra for a renovated bathroom. The online site did not match the right room with the right picture. Go for suite if your are picky!

The room are inside the foundation of an old building. The decorations are great, the bathroom was magnificent and the room had great features.

The restaurant was great as well; it served good food and had good ambiance (a lot of people were actually eating there) and they were able to accommodate people with food allergies. Restaurant for breakfast had a nice view.

Finally, the hotel had various other feature such as a 25m pool, a large gym, a coffee bar, a piano, etc.

Lovely place , staff very friendly even when very busy ! Had a great meal in restaurant , rooms clean and spacious , pool area clean and showers hot , we had a lovely time , ballincollig is a lovely town too

When we got there the TV didn't work, they couldn't accommodate us in the restaurant for dinner, we had no menu in our room to order room service and had to go down to reception 3 times because they didn't answer the telephone. We had to drive to a garage for water as there was no bottle or proper glasses in the room. When we went to the pool the jacuzzi was out of order. The next day our room wasn't serviced despite the sign on the door saying please service. It was only serviced after 7pm that night after we complained twice. Breakfast service was horrible, staff was unpleasant, orders was wrong and they didn't have everything they advertised on the menu.
The ONLY good thing about this place was the food served by die Bistro restaurant and its staff who was very nice, especially Sam. I'm glad to be out of there and won't be returning. Don't know who decided to give them 4 stars and for what, because I didn't see or experience it!

Very disappointed! Horrible dirty room
stains on carpet, head board ripped up, mould around window, limescale build up extremely bad on shower head and furniture worn and old. The room also had an unpleasant smell. Definitely will not be back! Avoid!!

we were not able to check in until 4.30 pm even though the email we had received on booking had clearly stated that check-in time was 3pm. There was no apology or acknowledgement of this..
the room itself had a very musty smell and we had to leave the windows open but the most horrifying thing about this room is the clear body stains on the walls (see picture attached)

When we complained about this, the manager came up and rubbed the wall stating it was clean although I would have to disagree and no guest should have to look at that throughout their stay.
We were told we would be offered an alternative room on sunday ( 23rd of August 2020) however no one ever came to us again . In addition to this, we asked for a mini fridge for our bedroom 4 separate times and each time we were told it would be sent up however we never got a mini fridge.

our room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay.

Very enjoyable visit for a family celebration. Catered well for adults and children.

Food was good. Service was fine. Duty manager was attentive

A perfect opportunity to detox at a great pool. Friendly staff and perfect size of a gym. Never too busy

Only 7 tv stations in room (smart tv), room not cleaned, no information in room about hotel. No drinking water in room. Dust underneath bed. Doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. So called residents bar was appalling, no atmosphere and very little effort to make our stay pleasurable during covid 19. Felt uncomfortable here with lack of social distance at breakfast time. Very little evidence of cleaning tables and chairs after use. Could do a lot better.

Just back after a lovely stay at Oriel house hotel. Staff were very friendly especially the lady at reception. Food was fabulous and the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend

Stayed here a few times now & still very impressed with the hotel.Great food in the bar,staff are very helpful & friendly.Fantastic indoor heated swimming pool with sauna & jacuzzi.Also has a gym & spa which we haven't tried yet.Breakfast was grand as usual & fills you up for the day ahead.This time we stayed in a Junior Suite & it was very impressive.You just had to have a bath - pure luxury.

This is a lovely hotel which I ve stayed in many times. It has a variety of different room styles & choices to suit budgets, all of which are always clean & of a high standard. The staff are always exceptionally friendly, welcoming & helpful. Excellent pool & sauna. Large underground carpark as well. The only minor quibble I d have is that I ve sometimes found some rooms to be a little bit chilly & the hot water can sometimes take a while to get going in the bathrooms. Definitely would recommend as a place to stay!

Service very slow to the point that we cancelled our last order. Had to send chips back as they were cold. Food omly ok. The bar itself was cold. Would not recommend.

Worst hotel. The room was old. Lamps didn t work. The bed was hard. Couldn t get the picture on the tv to work. Went to the pool at 845 to swim and wasn t allowed in because they stop letting people in 45 minutes before it closes at 930. Oh and the ac would just shut off in the middle of the night so you wake up sweating.

Lovely hotel with nice big pool and gym . Also they have a nice restaurant/ bar with delicious food where we served dinner. Breakfast was included in our price room . Located very close to Cork

Good food. Friendly staff and no dearer than other establishments

Hotel in the outskirts, with swimming pool, dry and wet sauna and small spa plus gym. The rooms are large, the bathroom is complete with bath and shower. The amenities are a little loose. They offer complimentary breakfast, but in my case the kettle had water inside for a long time and signs of oxidation inside. Breakfast was included in the price. Little fruit and healthy food for my taste but it is above average. It has parking outside.

I really like this place, the restaurant serves nice food and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is pretty big and very kid / baby friendly with a little baby pool area. The gym is great, it has a fair number of machines and it's rarely busy so you can get a proper workout. Tonnes of parking and easy to get to as well.

Nice hotel, spent only 1 night there. Free parking, nice rooms, good gym and swimming pool. Check in/out was quick and easy.

I used to go to the gym here. Plus it's a great place for a great hearty breakfast. The restaurant is nice too.

Nice restaurant, great staff, but very dirty room. Not impressed.

Came into a room that smelled horrible of cigarettes. The window was open and there was a fresh butt and match ON THE WINDOW SILL. Come on house keeping. Howd you miss that?! Went to let the front desk know since I didnt want to be charged for someone elses smoke smell since the room was nonsmoking. They couldnt move me to a different room. The floor next to the bed was sticky....I had to wear my flip flops in the room it was so yucky. No AC. TV was tiny. Bathroom drain was clogged so it filled up as I showered. I will NEVER come back to this hotel.

Bistro meal was superb entertainment and meal in restaurant Devine rooms spotless staff were v attentive& friendly can't wait to return!!

Not too expensive nice little hotel, it would be nice to know you can have a meal in the restaurant in the evening however its not clear and the bar food prices were compatible to 4* hotel in Dublin CC. Rooms could use a bit of a update as the furniture and the TV was a bit old. No "TV on demand" that I noticed, broken toilets, no hot water in the bathrooms for 2 out of 5 days stay. Not too bad but deffinitely could use some attention and investment.

Out of all the major hotels I've stayed in around the world I must say that the attention to detail and the hospitality that was shown to us on our stay was second to none, the room was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful, I would love to spend some more time in this hotel, hopefully soon. Had a brilliant stay in this fab hotel. Friendly staff. Only down side.... vaping in bar and public areas. Need to apply the same rules as cigarettes and ban from hotel completely.

Premises rated as a 4* but personnel did everything wrong. Serious delay at breakfast service... and lack of professionalism.
Walls and ceilings do not make the hotels but people do.

Excellent hotel. Staff are excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We have never attended a wedding reception with such good service and obliging staff. If we return to Ireland we will be booking the Oriel Hotel. Thank You.

One hour past check in. Waited in the lobby. Employees were not helpful or informative.

Beautiful fish & chips..best ever....compliments to the Chef...nice friendly staff..dessert ...apple pie delicious..highly recommended ....
