Omni Severin - Indianapolis Reviews

I was a guest at this hotel November 24th with my girlfriend. The hotel itself is very lovely and we had been to Omni multiple occasions. This time around my car was valeted and upon picking my car back up it was damaged. My entire front bumper was detached. Full disclosure: stupidly I did not do a walk around the car as I usually would do as I was in a hurry but I grabbed the keys from the valet and drove to a gas station that was approximately a half a mile down the street. It was there that I discovered the damaged. Obviously freaking out I returned to the hotel about seven minutes after my departure.

Now I want to be totally fair. I realize that i left the property so from an insurance standpoint they want to waive all liability. That s their job. I get it. However I don t think the way they handled the situation. Was very professional. The valet attendant all but said I was lying about my car being damaged. It also took them over a month to finally get in touch with me to tell me about my car when I was told it would be less than 10 business days. I was told that they would comp my valet charge for the evening as well and they never did. I was still charged the $50 for the night.

All in all I had a horrible experience with the valet and I suppose by association the hotel. I will never return to this establishment again. The situation was handled that poorly.

The hotel is fine. Mostly clean. The AC is very loud. The toilet in our room keeps overflowing and the staff doesn't seem to care despite that we keep complaining.

Nice room and staff. Little overpriced for size and how much is not included. Internals room view was lackluster

Love this hotel. The concierge Tony is like the Yoda of Indianapolis. Go wherever he sends you.

Great location! Only minutes from several points of interest (Lucas oil stadium, Indianapolis motor speedway, Indianapolis Zoo) Within walking distance of many restaurants and pubs. The staff was very friendly! Chatted with a couple of the valet & housekeeping staff. Couldn't find the pool and multiple staff members pointed me in the right direction. Great place to stay if you want the downtown Indy experience.

Well let me start by saying the hotel was very nice and clean however my husband and I had just got off the road and never travel with much cash on us so with that being said our valet (Terri) brought our luggage to our room and my husband gave him a $2 tip because that's literally all the cash we had on us at the time now maybe Terri felt that was disrespectful because when we opened up our door to leave and go to the ATM to make sure we had cash for tips we found that same $2 crumbled up and laying on the floor in front of our door needless to say my husband was furious!!!! Little did Terri know we were actually going to take care of him once we got to the ATM but obviously Terri blew it!!!! My advice to the help never be disrespectful to the customers it may cost you

The Omni is a great hotel with a nice ambiance. The bar is very nice with great choices. The lobby is a great spacious area great for socializing.

Always enjoy this hotel. Was here for my wife s 60th birthday. Had a nice bottle of wine and balloons when we arrived. Love the location and breakfast.

Great room, great location near Union station, Harry and Izzy's, and a lot of great places to visit while in Indy

For the most part its clean, and friendly. The parking was the main issue.

Very small room. Electric outlets for laptop and devices very worn and do not hold chargers securely. Worn furniture, restaurant closed on Sunday night.

Great room and location. Had a late breakfast at the buffet at 1317. The eggs Benedict was left out to long and was horrible but our waitress comped the buffet

Stopped in for a few drinks with a group of people and bartenders really knew their stuff. The bar is really nice with a relaxed feeling. There is also free shuffle board and billiard.

The Omni Severin had a great bar with very reasonably priced drinks. Great atmosphere.

Only went for parking, but the Valets were courteous and professional.

Very friendly, clean and quiet. Hotel built in 1913. Room was well maintained. Omni true to the brand. Would highly recommend.

No microwave in the room...u have to go downstairs in lobby to use a microwave...

Went to a party in one of the suites, it was beautiful.

Lovely grounds in a great location. The rooms were clean, however they weren't very well appointed. We stayed in a deluxe king room... The bathroom was tragically small. Overall it was just okay.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was personable and professional.

A wonderful, exquisite hotel, close to the Convention Center, and Bankers Fieldhouse, as well as a number of fine dining restaurants.

My visit/stay was absolutely amazing. From the time I arrived until
Checkout. The entire staff was so friendly, helpful, and very pleasant. I travel a lot and out of all the hotels I ve stayed in, this was without question, my best experience ever. I couldn t help but brag to my family about my stay. Now we are going to plan a getaway to come back and visit. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Wonderful Experience!!!

Love the layout of the mall, being connected to the Omni Hotel is plus, however lacks in major department stores, such as Macy's and Nordstrom.

Great place but the service women in the morning were snarling and didnt even say good morning after i said good morning.. Just stared at me

My family stayed here for a mini vacation and when we got there the front staff was awesome. Very kind with our kids and ready to help with whatever we need. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice. I did toss the room when we arrived to check for bed bugs, didn t find any, although I did put in the review that I wish they would have mattress and boxspring covers that protect against bugs. We then had gone to the pool with the kids and they had a good time; I advise to bring your own pool toys/floaters bc they usually only have what a previous guest has left. When we got back that night, we found packages of cookies as milk boxes for each child, beds turned down, and their stuffed animals all tucked in; this along with the music playing on the TV set the mood perfectly for kids bedtime! I recommend this hotel and he children s museum is right there, perfect place to visit!

Great drinks and great bar food, especially the tacos

On June 1st we made a reservation for 2 rooms with double beds. We called the morning that we were supposed to check in and was told that our reservation was in place and that check in was not until 3. We showed up at 4pm and was told that they had no double rooms available. We were told that since we didn't book with them directly that there was nothing they could to guarantee what we had reserved.

Get free WiFi. It's 2017. Bellman was really friendly.

pretty good for the price you pay! decent room, nice location, and staff is good but my only complaint is that the pool is small, no microwave in room, and water was cold. but like i said you get what you pay for

Great staff, great hotel. My only issue was the water pressure wasn't very strong in the shower.

The Omni just was not quite up to snuff when it came to feeling welcome in a place.

It's a descent hotel, but there's nothing special about it. The room is fine, but with toilets that look like they belong in public bathrooms, slow draining sink/tub, and lack of outlets in the room, I'm certainly not impressed.

I didnt stay with overnight but my overall experience with omni Indianapolis has always been nothing but sheer elegance and professional.

I was there this past weekend for the NASCAR race at INDY. This was an excellent hotel. The staff was friendly. There were many options inside to eat or grab a drink. Starbucks can be accessed as well through the lobby. In one of the small bars you can play complimentary pool or shuffle board. The decor was very nice and felt luxurious. The room was clean and I was fortunate to have a decent view of the city. I feel like the rooms need an upgrade...more so the bathrooms as it seemed like the maintenance workers have performed the minimal duties with any of their installations. They should be proud of their work and that is not reflected. The rest of the room was nice. The bed sheets and duvet were super heavy if you like that. I just kicked those sheets off. I was very pleased with my visit and I plan on bringing my wife with me to enjoy the hotel and the easy access to all the places to eat. Room 424

Just went to the Starbucks inside the hotel for a drink. The staff was very nice, and a well kept place.

I'm a Hilton person, but I took a chance. For me, the rooms were a bit run down & the bathroom was not clean enough for me. (Toothpaste platz all over the sink items [I even switched rooms & found the same.] there was a ratty bath rug on the floor...which seemed odd and & dangerous!) The curtains were broken & did not close all the way-- a huge problem for folks who need a dark room to sleep. I won't stray from Hilton again!

Horrible customer service and do not honor deals with hotwire! Was really looking forward to my stay a few months back but overbooked and could not offer the promised room.

We needed a last minute room during a busy holiday weekend. They had a room. They were helpful and the room was clean and the staff were friendly. And late night room service was quick and the food was excellent.

Hotel does not provide non-valet parking, so I'm paying an extra $22/night for parking. Not happy. Also, they are holding an extra $50/night for "incidentals" which they didn't tell me about - I found out when my credit union texted my daily balance this morning. Between the two, my budget is basically shorted $300 before I even get to my event. Don't get me wrong, bed is nice, location is fantastic, but when you're on a budget, the unexpected sucks.

Appears luxurious online and in the lobby but overpriced based on the condition of my room. The carpet was coming apart at the seams near hallway door and bathroom door and I've had friendlier service at much cheaper hotels.
Homeless people seemed to enjoy hanging out just outside the hotel near the parking garage... also a turn off.

The room smelled funny, I was overcharged once I checked out and got all the way back to my town. I didn t enjoy the experience at all

The staff are all friendly, helpful and welcoming! The public areas and lobby are beautiful and comfortable. The food is average overall. We booked two of the Severin King suites rooms #736 and #536. The beds were super comfortable with clean sheets and lots of pillows.Bath towels are fluffy, absorbant and clean. Unfortunately, the rooms and their furniture are in serious need of refurbishing and reupholstering. Chair fabrics were torn, worn and dirty. Carpet was torn at minibar cabinet. Half of the sheer curtains were missing and the sheers that were there were torn and shredded...the haunted house look. The bathrooms need re-caulking in around tubs and in between tiles where black mold spots are visible and unsightly. Faucets at tub and sink are discolored and missing the finish. One of the suites had two additional chairs in the living room area as well as a sectional couch. However, the other suite had no other chairs in the living room. It only had a sectional couch. The fact that the suites were in such run down condition is a bad reflection on a hotel that tries to claim a 4 star rating. Although I have stayed at the Omni Severin several times, I will probably stay elsewhere on my next visit. The Omni Severin needs to have the big wigs at corporate come visit to and see the need for a major upgrade.

The bar was full of Ohio State fans Friday nite. Good drinks were being made - I'll rate the bartenders a 9. Congrats Ohio State Big Ten Football Champs the game was an A+ comeback!

The staff here is TOP NOTCH, they were beyond accomodating! This was a truly great hotel experience. We stayed in a room with a balcony, I highly recommend it for some people watching! The room was very large, the bed was super comfortable, and the room service was delicious. We will be back!

Breakfast is good.
The capital on the 9th floor was broken, but it was not bad to change it to a big room on the 12th floor.

Location... Was convient.
But that was it. Room smelled musty. Bathroom was a joke. No exhaust fan so showering was unpleasant. Room fan was LOUD. Was not a hotel I will pay to Stay in again.

I would stay again. It was welcoming and all the staff was helpful.

Breakfest cost wifi room was very small but clean nothing special for that rank of hotel

Met a friend in the front hall for games, and it is a comfortable place that looks very nice!

Booked a room for a company event. My flight arrived early so it was fair that my room wasn't ready. I grabbed a bite to eat in the meantime and when I came back, they told me I waited long enough and gave me another room they had available. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Place was great, rooms were really nice and clean a little pricey but overall a great place to stay.

The room I stayed in needs a new toilet, faucet, TV, desk chair, mattress and lounging chair. Outdated electronic connections, they need new USB outlet ports to get up to speed with 2019 technology. Otherwise the stay was fine.

So magnificent! We had such a wonderful room and an even better time!

It is really overrated, for such a hotel, maybe 80 dollars a night is a fair price.
Must say that reception ppl are nice though
