I stayed here with my wife over the weekend. Fantastic hotel in Indianapolis, located centrally downtown. The room was clean and modern and the employees were very nice and respectful. I would stay again if I come back.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. The deluxe double room has worked out well for a family of four, and the cookies & milk were a nice touch. The staff has been very friendly. The only thing I'd change would be faster free wifi.
It's a beautiful hotel and that's about all I enjoyed during my stay here.
The hotel staff is amazing. We only had great experiences with them. They make this hotel special.
We loved our weekend at the Omni Severin! We came to see a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium, and while that was the highlight of our trip, I am so happy I chose the Omni for our stay. The hotel is gorgeous, and the staff was so nice and friendly. This hotel is in the center of everything! Honestly, the hardest part was trying to decide which fun restaurant to go to. As soon as we finished dinner, we went straight back to the Omni Severin Bar to unwind. Perfect way to end the day, right in our hotel. Starbucks the next morning...perfect. It was a hard decision between the 300 shop mall across the street, or see the sights. The city won, and we walked all around the monuments and the river - Indianapolis is beautiful! Lucas Oil Stadium is just steps away from the hotel, and I have to say - we played our music while getting ready and after the concert, and nobody could hear us! The staff even took pictures of us as we left for the concert! I couldnt have been happier with my choice of hotel...now I just need a reason to go back! I must also give a shout out to Joshua (I hope that s right) at the front desk. After giving us water bottles and checking us out, I thanked him for all of his help, and he said it was our job to have fun, and his job to help us do that. Wow!
Staff is so very friendly and helpful. Great location!
Great hotel, friendly and professional staff, amazing location and a clean room made for a very comfortable and enjoyable trip.
Hotel itself is great. However, I have two issues: 1) hotel does not have parking - parking is through the nearby parking garage for the mall, another $22/night. 2) they are holding an additional $50/night for "incidentals", which will be released "sometime" after my stay. I am here for a gaming convention, so having $300 less to spend than I had planned kind of sucks.
The staff at the hotel are awesome. Most of the rooms are beautiful, but there are a few that need to be "adjusted" for the 21st century. The best thing about the rooms is the bed - I have severe back problems and can't sleep many places, but I can here. In fact, I've ordered the pillows they use for my home! The worst thing about the room was the HVAC because It kicks on and off way too often, and it is very loud, but I have updated this review after many stays, and have to say the worst thing about the rooms is the TV. They have it locked in hotel mode, which is fine except that disables the brightness controls, and they have "automatic brightness" enabled making the TV too dark to see.
Great staff and clean rooms! I'll definitely be staying again.
This is the worst Omni I ve experienced. It is badly outdated and offers the same quality as a La Quinta. Stains on the furniture, towels, tile, etc. The surrounding area is extremely loud and spills into the rooms at night. A good night s sleep is hard to come by. This place is not worth half the of the price we paid. Very disappointing experience.
Perfect location! Beautiful lobby! Stunning woodwork! Starbucks in house!!!! Heated pool!
Beautiful hotel! Spacious rooms with great views and wonderful staff.
If you can call this a 4-star hotel then I'd rather stay at home. Come to Chicago and stay at a real, REAL, 4-star hotel like the Wyndham Grand to see what it is SUPPOSED to be like. You have to pay for Internet ffs. The toilet bowl looks like the one you'd find in the public bathroom of a DMV. Shame.
It s a hotel that s a lil too big for its britches.
The room smelled musty. There was no fan in the bathroom. The water pressure was nice and the beds were comfortable. $10 internet charge was unwelcome and unexpected.
Excellent hotel, room was large and very clean, concierge were helpful and friendly, great hotel with a great atmosphere
You're definitely paying for the history and the grandeur of the hotel. The lobby and main level are stunning and give off the historic luxury vibe it boasts about. I also enjoyed the skywalk to the Circle Center mall. Only giving it three stars because the rooms themselves are lack luster. Ours had cracks in the lamps, wallpaper peeling off, and faded paint. So the rooms arent kept up well at all. Other than that the location was desirable and the service was satisfactory.
Great hotel, one of the older ones in Indy, but still a great place to stay. Room was clean and comfortable.
The room cost way more than what it's worth $300 definitely location cost (downtown) the rooms were dirty for the cost they should have plush down comforters instead they have dirty looking drapes it looks like on the beds....I was very very displeased and I NEVER do ratings but the is a must! The pictures are deceiving I asked for the rooftop seating 5hey show in pictures I was 5old that's been gone for years! The 2 rating is ONLY for location.
Good location to the stadium. No gift shop . Room was nice, bathroom was horrible. Toilet had 5 inches each side of the seat. Layout of room 515 is bad. From the bed the television is at least 20 feet away. Nightstand only on one side of the bed. Staff was very nice.
Clean, friendly, professional. In serious need of a renovation and modernization.
The Hotel was nice and the people where very friendly. Had a great time in Indianapolis Indiana.
Great place great service. Clean. Rooms are big. And it's right by everything downtown
Top Notch Service!!!! Not Pleased With Parking Fees!
We got married here in the Spring of 2018 right after a remodel of the ballroom. The event staff were great and made sure everything was perfect. The entire bridal party booked rooms for the weekend as well and our stay was great. Definitely recommend hosting an event here!
Stayed at this hotel for one night, I feel they should change their carpet cleaning detergents it has a dingy smell especially where the piano is. Our room was a king size and had a couch which was okay, but the problem was when I decided to take a shower OMG! they have a problem with the drainage because the water was stagnant and was not draining that was disgusting.
Very nice place except for the guy telling I had to pay 30 for him to park my car plus tip
Exquisite accommodations in downtown Indianapolis. Excellent staff.
Strangely dated for how nice everything is. Room is nice, staff was helpful. Stayed here during a convention. Parked off-site because no-way on $46 a night parking. Bathrooms are a prior under par, but otherwise a nice place to stay. No complaints.
I happened to wander in looking for some coffee while passing through Indianapolis. (They have a Starbucks inside). The staff was exceptionally nice and offered amenities while I was just enjoying their beautiful lobby. Although I did not stay here overnight, I do want to commend the management for a well run organization.
Concierge was fantastic and recommendedicated a great nearby breakfast location. Room was clean an everyone friendly. A++
Stayed overnight for Taco and Tequila Fest. Nice clean room. Price was okay. Wifi sucked. Staff was friendly. Would probably stay again.
This place was OK recommend staying here at Sno Motel 6 so it's not a jury inn or the Hilton but it's lovely up there it's far from Motel 6
Well maintained and spacious. Close to cheap parking at the mall, but otherwise very expensive onsite parking.
Very large lobby space, elaborately decorated (definitely traditional hotel in that sense, could use a little updating), and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Amazing hotel!
I stayed here for a marching band event and had an awesome time!
The rooms were very neat and tidy, and the food was really awesome!
Amazing place to stay especially if you are going to see something at Lucas Oil Stadium
Great location, clean room. Despite paying for the room, we actually didn't spend the night due to a last minute change in family plans. Nice place, though, and I would definitely stay there again in the future.
We had a great stay at the Omni resort! They made my birthday very special. Within 10 minutes of checking in we had a knock on our door and it was a staff delivering a birthday cake that was delicious. Their room service meals were also delicious. The bed was also comfortable. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms were slightly outdated (but clean) and food was very expensive (but very tasty!) Overall pleased with our stay! Also was a 5 minute walk to bankers life which was fantastic!
Only went for a social gathering. It was a well light, classy looking hotel lobby with amenities such as chairs and couches. By the bathrooms, infused water was at the ready. Two restaurant/bars were footsteps away, as well as, a Starbucks.
Very good location. Many nice places to eat near by. Check in was not positive. Starting to show some age.
My only complaint is the room needs to be updated which includes the bathrooms. My lavatory drain did not drain properly but was not 100% backed up. I did not ask for it to be repaired.
Great downtown location next to the mall nice rooms and service
Keeping it short and sweet; Valet service was friendly, the hotel lobby decor was exquisite, restaurant was clean, menu a bit on the pricey side, but service was exceptional and had no qualms about the food. Our visit was outstanding. Ordered the strip steak w mashed potatos and the brownie for dessert and it did not disappoint!
A great downtown hotel. I go to Indianapolis every year, and this was the best experience thus far.
5 star every visit! Treat yourself and upgrade to the city view room, it will not disappoint.
The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and the lobby is welcoming
Save your money and the worse customer service in Indianapolis downtown, especially if your skin color is not white. This is not a 4 start hotel. Carpets are very old, smelly, bathrooms are very old, heater/AC are really noisy, also you do not want to step on the shower without wearing sandals, do not get impresed by a fancy old fashion lobby, there are not room service enough for all room, you are lucky if they send some one at midnight with clean towels after you call them in the morning and they will tell you, they are super busy ... under current management things has change. Been here before for my kids sports, but hotel looks like a 2 start hotel now. Go to 3 start hotel, and you will get a much decent room than here at Omni Indianapolis... don't waste your time complaining, they will give you an excuse for everything ...
If I could give zero I would. HEADS UP...call hotel before if your room is still available!!! Since they said, they are overbooked they gave our room and downgrade it. No call or did not even asked us if downgrade was an option!!!! I even called the day before confirming and requesting refrigerator during our stay, so that means we are definitely showing up.....We booked the luxury suite for my family and omni downgrade it to double beds. We got the room to sleep comfortably from our flight and OMNI just ruined it!!! Never again will booked at this hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED OLD hotel not upgraded. WILL NEVER BOOKED AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
The beds felt amazing only complaint pillows way too soft
Nice place to stay for Gen Con, very close to the Indiana Convention Center. They had the bar and lobby set up great for the convention guests.
This is a lovely hotel! The beds and pillows are fabulous. The customer service is impeccable. There is even a Starbucks inside the hotel. For the evening, there is a modern bar with a fun atmosphere. We loved our stay and I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
The room was nice and clean. Location was really close to a ton of bars and restaurant. Use caution if using the valet service if you have a manual. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great location. Great staff. Rooms outdated. I had to use my hotspot to get internet. Burn hole in our N/S room. Not many outlets. Very small bathroom with little count space.
Great hotel with an excellent staff who was very helpful from the minute we stepped out of the car. They go over and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed.
Great downtown hotel. Always interested in making your stay enjoyable. Close to downtown attractions. I always stay there if possible.
I recently stayed there along with a family member and all I can say is WOW! I have been in the hotel industry for many years and have seldom run across such a professional staff ESPECIALLY Ethan at the front desk! Thank you Omni Severin for a lovely stay and let Ethan know he s awesome!
We got married here 14 years ago and decided to revisit and spend a few days in a King Suite with the spiral staircase. The rooms appeared largely unchanged in 24 years and are showing their age. Stained ceiling tiles, patio light was burned out. Housekeeping folded up the sleeper sofa even though we left a note. Was a pain to remake the bed when we got back late at night. Went to the pool and went swimming with a couple of unannounced cockroaches, yuck. We generally like Omni properties, but will likely not stay at this one unless we see some reviews that things have been updated/improved. There are better choices in Indy.
What the hotel lacked in looks, the service made up for. The hotel maybe needs refreshing. The service exceeded 5 stars.
I have stayed here at least 4 times. A great experience every time. 2019 UPDATE. We stayed here again for a fifth time and I still love this place. It is an older building but it is well Kepler. The staff is always accommodating. My wife got lost in one of the banquet rooms and she was returned quietly and without a fuss. The location of this hotel could not be better. Jack the bartender at the main bar is awesome and I enjoy seeing him every year. The breakfast buffet is great (but I wish you could order off the menu because I don t really want the buffet). The chef steering the omelette station ( I am sorry i forgot his name) is fantastic. He has worked at the Omni for 20 plus (he might have said 30) years and that says a lot. Great job and thanks for sharing your all spice ingredients. There are similar hotels that will give me a better rate as a Veteran but I will continue to stay here.
Comfortable stay, nice people but smallest bathroom I have ever seen and with no fan...
Rooms were nice. Lobby was gorgeous. Great location. Within walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars, and the mall.
We had a great stay at the Omni. The hotel and the staff were fantastic. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend to anybody staying in downtown Indianapolis.
Awesome room service and our rooms weren't ready so they upgraded us to presidential
Horrible! Rude staff threatening to call IMPD! I used to work here and it's nothing like it was in the past! I WON'T RETURN.....AT ALL
This hotel is great. Perfect location to the downtown area.
The accommodations were wonderful and the people wonderful. Other people staying there were problems-yelling and fighting late at night.
Truly unique historic hotel. The staff was very helpful and informative of the hotels history. Room was clean. Check in was simple. In room check out was not working though. Alot of weddings are booked at this hotel so alot of the hotel was off limits or reserved for parties. Good location, hotel is connected to the sky walk but that corridor was closed during our stay.
Excellent location, but lacking in amenities. The room was comfortable, but the hotel stay didn't include anything, not even the internet. Free Internet is a basic expectation for a hotel nowadays.
This hotel is fantastic, I am a broadcaster and I come every year for the Big 10 Championship and they do a great job accommodating everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and the hotel is well kept. The Starbucks connected to the loby is awesome
Older but nice hotel are room was nice a little dusty but other wise clean. Definitely would stay here again. Loved that it was in the center of everything.
