This hotel is outstanding. I have traveled quite a bit over the years and the Omni San Francisco is one of the best and my favorite hotels. The quality of the hotel is outstanding and the staff are the tops... concierge, front desk, door men and housekeeping, all great. When in San Francisco, stay at the Omni!

I love Omni hotels, they hardly ever disappoint. The room I am staying in is very comfortable. It's not muggy. the restroom is spacious. The lobby is very warming and the staff is helpful. They are dog friendly, the concierge brought us a dog bed and food bowls with a place mat.

Omni @ SF is awesome. Great rooms and good menu selection. I had bad experience with AirBnB, called Omni guys one night before and they allowed me early check-in at 9:30 am!! Very happy with the staff and how accommodating they were!

Will definitely stay here whenever I am visiting SF.

Wow. Great hotel!!! The staff is very helpful. They have a happy hour with snacks for guests in the lobby. The breakfast is overpriced, but the food was very tasty. I also ordered a drink in the hotel bar and it was perfectly balanced (I ordered a Manhattan).

My view from my hotel room wasn't great, but what do you expect when your room faces another tall building.

Overall, this is a great hotel and it's a little pricey. It's not too far from anything and you can always call a ride share.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Room and beds were wonderful. Front desk staff and doormen on point. Overall a great stay.

Had two seperate issues with service requests being correct/on time. Seemed to be some level of disconnect between desk and service staff. Conversation between serviceman disgruntled at some situation and management occured publicly in lobby which was a bit off putting.

None of the above was enough to ruin the overall quality of the hotel but bears mentioning as things generally not tolerated at this class of service.

Well the wine and cheese platter in our third room didn't make up for the bugs crawling on my wife in the middle of the night. The second 'clean room' had a torn mattress. Let's just say it was way too much adventures and room changing to make our stay enjoyable. We definitely won't be back to the Omni Hotel.

In terms of location, this hotel is great. On price and ambiance, it just falls flat though. Over $400 a night for a room here in a city that's being driven by startups like Airbnb. Save your cash and consider booking someone's home. You can easily half your price and end up closer to better restaurants.

$15 a night to use Wifi in your room.

Tired decor.

Expensive breakfasts that most self - paying guests appear to avoid.

Problems with my booking on arrival.

This is not a place I'd return to.

Rooms are very nice and the location is close enough to the coast to walk there. The WiFi isn't free though, and if you get stuck on the 17th floor, the elevator rides can get pretty annoying.

Great last minute getaway during christmas. Festive spirit was great and attention to detail in customer service and clean hotel. Close to union square, shopping, china town. Park right across the hotel at 555 for cheap and safe parking.

The smiles and service at the Omni were so sincere and welcoming that they've prompted me to pen this review. We had a great two-night stay and the concierges' tips really helped when choosing a great Japanese restaurant. The food in the restaurant was excellent although we would have preferred a buffet rather than an a la carte breakfast: that said, what we chose was excellent.

Great location, several dining options within walking distance, friendly and helpful staff. We have stayed here several times over the past four years, and wouldn't consider looking for another option.

I had a wonderful time at the hotel. It was beautiful and the hotel staff were amazing: from the valet and door staff who chase cabs down for me from a block away during rush hour - to the thoughtful housekeeping staff who checked with me each day to see if I needed anything in my room. The room and bathroom were absolutely beautiful. The high ceilings made everything feel so spacious. I ate at Bob's Bar. I had a delicious glass of Champaigne with their very own twist. I had a really good Cobb salad with honey poppy-seed dressing.
Since I am from NYc area I am used to a 'different' breed of people. I found San Francisco and Omni to be especially different in the best way. The general consideration and concern for guests is so warming. That is truly what made my experience better than probably anyother stay at anyother hotel ever. (And I travel quite alot.) Thank you very much.
PS. I understand the consideration for space in the hotel - I wish there would have been a pool. That would have made it 'that' much more fun.

I have enjoyed the Omni San Francisco immensely in the past. However, on this past stay, the rooms felt drab and dated, in need of an updating. Certainly large, with comfortable bathrooms, accommodations at the Omni are now old, and can no longer hide behind the traditional decor. In addition, having the bathroom light on the outside wall disturbs whoever may be sleeping at that time - poor design.

Service is exemplary, especially the door man who serves as an unofficial concierge. The location is also excellent, away from the madhouse of Union Square. These strong points reinforce the need for a room refurbishment at the Omni. The hotel deserves it.

Went to the omni for a short vacation with the girlfriend. Obviously it was priced higher than your standard hotel because this hotel isn't your standard motel 6. Upon arrival I wasn't too impressed with how the outside looked (just looked like a standard building to me) but that was mute because when I walked in I was more than blown away by how nice and fancy it was. Unfortunately our rooms were not even ready but we just went for a quick stroll in the financial district and got food and within the hour they texted us letting us know it was all ready. Now the room... it was just amazing, everything was perfect for me and my girlfriend. We had one of the rooms with a king bed and the bed was just orgasmic, I still have dreams about it. I hate to admit it but we did more sleeping than really anything on our vacation because the bed was damn comfortable. Room service was also very good , I recommend the creme brulee (big portion too). The staff was friendly and awesome as well. I didn"t get a chance to check out the fitness center but i heard great things. I also noticed this hotel was featured on hbo's comedy show "silicon valley" which I thought was pretty cool (show is pretty good if you like that type of comedy). All in all this place was great , would definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff. Spacious, clean, and classic-appearing room. Hotel location is convenient if you are venturing into the Union Square area and within walking distance of excellent dining options. Not much, if any, street noise and a very comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. Highly recommend Omni to travelers looking for a no risk high reward stay.

Recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. What really stood out to me were two things: Darryl, the front doorman, went out of his way to give my toddler a backpack with activities inside when we checked in. And he made a paper plane for him while we were waiting for our room to be cleaned one afternoon. My son kept asking to play with Mr. Darryl. The second thing was that my husband forgot to pack some clothes in a drawer and the staff sent it back to us via FedEx for no charge. We also appreciated the complimentary water bottles at the front desk and the apples in the lobby. The location is a short walk to Chinatown and the Embarcadero and Union Square and North Beach.

I've only stayed at one other big city hotel that provided the level of service and friendliness like the Omni. From the moment I pulled up at the curb any encounter with any of the staff was easy. They greeted me at every passing encounter and responded quickly and pleasantly at any request. It was less the appointment of the room--which was fine--than the feeling any need I had would be met. And it was met. Never a shrug or a scowl which--for San Francisco particularly--is welcome. I chose this hotel for its location, away from the crowds of Union Square but near to transportation services that would get you anywhere. I'm very sensitive to noise, and this was one of the quietest places I've ever stayed. Spotlessly cleaned and well staffed at the curb and in housekeeping and room service. I never waited more than 20 minutes for a room service order. The food was so good, I chose to eat in my room rather than deal with well known restaurants in the area. I'm a tall person and the room was surprisingly generous with space, although that may have been luck to have a corner room. There was a view of the Bay that was gorgeous when there wasn't any fog. I'll always choose this hotel in the future.

very staff member at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Our stay felt personal and all of the staff catered to us including our kids. We were greeted with activity backpacks and had milk and cookies waiting in the room when we returned the first day.

While this hotel is on the older side, I think that only adds to the authentic San francisco ambiance. The service here is worlds apart from almost any other hotel I have stayed at. Even the "fancier" ones. They even remembered our names. It was a great experience and close to pier 11, which was a great place to pick up souvenirs.
