The woman at the desk was super friendly and endearingly would say "ya'll." She was very sweet. The place is older so the rooms are smaller than some, but it is super clean and modern. The location was about a 20 minute walk to the beach.

One star because they charge a hidden, minimally disclosed $25 per day destination fee that dramatically inflates the advertised price.

Also, only valet parking is available, and it's expensive at $52 per night.

I left my car overnight for one night of valet parking for $49 per night. The car was returned to me with a huge chemical residue splattered on the hood. I was tired and in a hurry so did not address it to the hotel then, but it's left a permanent stain on my car's paint. Yes, I should have brought it up immediately, but for $49 a night I should also not have to deal with something this ridiculous. It seems to me that this has happened before, it was a significant amount of residue, it cannot be the first time this has occurred at the hotel's lot.

Update: July 26,2017- No one has been in contact as your reply states.

Many if not most guests are here on business. We come here for pleasure and highly recommend that you do the same. The atmosphere is relaxed, the accommodations most inviting, and the cultural and entertainment possibilities within easy walking distance are practically endless. I assure that you will run out of time before you run out of amazing food and entertainment experiences at this location. A rental car is not necessary!

I attended a special event here recently. The ballrooms have surprisingly good acoustics and are well-appointed. Comfortable seating, nice bathrooms, and a friendly and helpful staff made the experience pleasant. Parking at the hotel is very expensive so look at neighboring lots for a better deal.

Stayed for one night while checking out downtown LA. Overall the hotel is fine, but unremarkable. A plus was the separate walk-in shower. Our room had crayon lines on the walls and furniture from a previous occupant - this can and should have been cleaned. The pool is tiny and not worth it. Parking is $49 per day. Ouch.

One of my favorite hotels. Guest services are fantastic. Rooms are lovely. Stay was peaceful. Being in the heart of downtown los angeles was easy to get around. Restaurants, banks, bars, entertainment within walking distances.

Good hotel in downtown LA. Valet parking is $49 a night which is a downer. They have fruit and infused water refreshment and a nice variety of mini desserts in the evening. (Mini macaroon, chocolated dipped strawberry, etc.)

Everything about this hotel is lovely. From the beautiful floral arrangements near the entrance, fresh cucumber or grapefruit water as you walk towards the elevators, or the well appointed rooms, it is so nice to stay there. The only bad thing is how much you are charged to park your car overnight. Even for LA the price is steep.

Very pleasant reprive from the heat and business of LA. I stopped for a refreshing beverage. Comfortable, nice AC, clean, lots of comfortable seating. I recommend taking a break or grabbing a beverage here anytime.

I actually did not stay here myself due to a prior booking at a different location but my friends did and they enjoyed their stay. I was dropping them off and picking them up and both times the staff there was very courteous to me and helped with baggage as well as redirecting my vehicle for ease of access. My friends have noted that the location itself is very nice so I would consider staying here myself for future events.

Best Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. I have tried all most every Downtown Hotel and by far the Omni Los Angeles is the number one. Service and customer satisfaction seems to be there Marketing. It works. I have never been treated so good. The front desk is a world above any other in service and deserves a 5 Star all by it self. As for the Noe' Bar and Restaurant. FANTASTIC in every way. I forgot I was in Los Angeles and not a top 5 Star Resort somewhere in the world. This is my new home away from home.

I've stayed at the Omni in LA three times, and it's always been very good. Plus, it seems to get better every time I go. I used room service for the first time on this trip. The food was quite good, better than most hotels I've stayed at.

The food was overall good, valet service was impeccable, and the front desk staff was very friendly. I do wish the internet speed was a little faster. My wife was not impressed with the spa services, as it seemed disorganized. The massage itself was fine, but the atmosphere and location we're not what she was expecting for the price.

The reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the location. Google Maps takes you to the wrong side of the building. I will never stay downtown again. However, Omni was a satisfactory choice for our stay.

This was my second visit to the property, but this...

This was my second visit to the property, but this was the first time I had an unsatisfactory experience. But before I begin, please note that every on-site agent I raised my concerns with (including Terry and also various men at Reception whose names I don't know) was very quick and professional in helping resolve each concern. Still, I don't know why there were so many problems during this visit. First, from the very beginning my room keys continued to malfunction. The keys I received at check in did not open my door, so I had to go downstairs and have them reset. That happened to me two other times over the course of my short visit.

Second, my room wasn't the cleanest. When I checked in, I immediately spotted a plastic wrapper of some sort left under the luggage rack in my closet. But I shrugged that off until I later found a bunch of women's hair strands around my bathroom. There were strands in the shower, on the floor near the sink, and even behind one of the white hand towels on the rack above the toilet. I have no idea whether they were the cleaning lady's strands or the hair of a former room occupant but either way -- I was then concerned about the overall cleanliness of the room. (Note that because of the cracked marble-like appearance of the bathroom tile, the strands weren't immediately visible when you first walked in. You just stumbled across them as you began using the room.)

Then, after my first night, I woke up to find my tub inexplicably filled with some strange matter. I took photos and showed it to Terry at the front desk and she surmised that the plumbing had backed up into my toilet overnight. She sent an engineer to correct the issue while I was out for the day, and the I came back later that evening it had been cleaned out. (My entire room had also been deep-cleaned as well.)

Then, two strange things happened on my second night (which was leading to the morning of my checkout). At appx. 3 am, the phone on the desk made a loud, weird humming/buzzing sound followed by three short beeps. I immediately hopped out of bed and ran across to see what was going on. I couldn't figure it out but I simply lifted the received and placed it back in the cradle and that seemed to silence it. But I have absolutely no idea why that would happen in the first place, particularly to a phone that hadn't been touched or used while I was there. I mentioned this incident to Terry while I checked out. (What I didn't say was that I had been unable to go back to sleep after that interruption, such that I tossed and turned for the next few hours until I actually got up at 6 am to start a busy day at the courthouse.)

But one thing I didn't even mention to anyone was that on both nights, when I turned the heat up in my room -- it would run for a bit and then, as expected, cut itself off when it reached the desired temperature. But after that would happen, you would hear little taps (almost like the sound of water dripping slowly on a metal surface) for quite a few minutes afterwards. Very loud since the room was quiet and dark.

All these things added up made for a very unpleasant stay though. Usually, my hotel stays are uneventful. But this one just had one thing after another that kept interrupting my attempt to rest and relax ahead of a long, busy, tiring day of work the following day. But again though, I'd like to commend everyone at the Front Desk for taking my concerns seriously and working to resolve them expeditiously. They are all 5-star employees and should be commended.

The bar was really nice, and the outside patio was a relaxing place to sit and have drinks in both a casual and professional enviornment. The prices were a bit expensive for a professional bar, but overall, I would visit this place again.

Overall average. The hotel is clean, but bar and food service is slow. The mandatory valet parking service is an insane 49 dollars per night and I was not told of the price prior or even after booking so it was a surprise on checkout. I cannot recommend this hotel as I feel they dishonestly charge hidden fees. I stay at numerous hotels and even resort fees when applicable are not hidden.

The hotel is very pretty, the door staff knew my name every time they saw me I was please with that.
The down side is that they do not have any microwave in the rooms to reheat coffee or food. The hotel is. Located in heart of everything loved the location.

We stayed 2 nights in May. What a disappointment: this hotel at the carapace of a luxury hotel, but our room was identical to a best western! The staff is very pretentious and looked at us from 'high' us mere tourists!

Beautiful property, and closest hotel to the Court houses. Walking distance to shops and food. Rooms are clean and updated. Service is great. Valet parking is a hefty $49. Park next door at Cal for $35.

The Hotel is well decorated and the staff attentive. My only concern is that after you pass the front doors, there was no one to help locate our conference room. The map and electronic display wasn't very helpful. The front desk had one attendant and he was extremely busy. I had to walk back outside to speak with the doorman to get directions.

This one of the top Omni properties. The loyalty ambassador is always amazing and helpful. She upgraded me to the concierge floor. The Concierge floor come with free breakfast and happy hour drinks. Everything about this property is high end. It's located in downtown. I've stayed at thus hotel at least 6 times in the last 9 years and it's always a great experience. Sorry no pics this time, but the rooms are consistent with an Omni decor and amenities. The hotel bar was alive but not overbearing, plenty of space to sit and relax.

It's a family-oriented hotel, and the staff are very accommodating and polite. Whenever we spend our holidays and vacations here, this hotel is always our choice. My kids love their pool, and their food in the restaurant was very delectable. The last time we here were last month. We spend our son's birthday, and he enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended!
