The hotel itself is nice. Check-in was seamless but the host apparently didn t have much to say to me being that I m an African American. He asked for my name, credit card and stated that I was staying on the 5th floor. I had to open my key holder to find out the exact room number. After my 1st night I noticed my room hadn t been cleaned and I had to call for new towels. Later that day I found out that he had opted me out of having my room cleaned daily. Not only was I opted out of daily cleaning, the room had a musty odor. To rectify the matter the hotel offered me free breakfast at the buffet.

Amazing, wonderful hotel. The staff was great and very nice. I will definitely be staying here again.

the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the fact that there is no parking. If you have a car you'll have to do valet and it's $45 a night. That is really the only complaint I have about the hotel.

The place was nice enough but kind of worn. When I opened the bathroom door, the handle fell off. Our fire alarm was going off intermittently for one day. The hotel could use a refresh.

Room was very clean, beds were immaculate. Overall a good hotel. May not be important to others, but there was no fridge in the room. Even the cheapest of hotels I've been to have fridges and I travel all the time. As a pumping/breastfeeding mom this was a major problem on my vacation . Other than that pretty good hotel but I feel is a bit overpriced compared to value of others nearby.

Large room, nicely appointed. Desk and nightstands with easily accessible outlets. Good lighting. Room was quiet and the bed comfortable. We stayed on a Thursday evening and they had a singer and piano player. Staff helpful and friendly. Fast internet. Valet parking only. A Destination Fee is mandatory. A Discovery Hotel.

Pool area is small. Food choices while at the pool consist of hot dog or plain hamburger. Drinks only beer and wine. To get better food requires going in the bar a floor below and bringing your own drink back to the pool area.

First off - the negatives

First off - the negatives
1. Requested a month in advance to clear the mini bar. It was in the notes upon check in
2. I called the hotel prior to check in and asked if they had a shuttle going to the hotel. The person said yes, and gave me a number to call. The number was for tickets to the Blue Man Group. There is no hotel shuttle.

Toi checked us in and she is incredible! She's thorough, courteous and funny - truly an asset to the hotel. The hotel is somewhat far from a lot of places, but it was only a few blocks away from the Grand Central Market. Location didn't matter too much though since we cabbed it almost everywhere. Room was large, spacious and clean. Our room faced the street and it wasn't noisy at all. It was blissful quietness. The bathroom was huge and had a glass shower in addition to a bathtub.

There is a fitness facility on the 4th floor and an outdoor garden with a pool. The gym had cardio machines, 2 benches and free weights up to 50 pounds - very basic. It was clean and I loved how they had fruit infused water in the lobby and at the gym.

When I called down to the Operator about the minibar, she informed me that it was a $50 surcharge to clear it. That's ridiculous! No fee was mentioned to me when I called a month prior to request it - Toi did mention it upon check in but told me that it would be cleared at no charge. The operator had to check with her before confirming and sending me up a separate fridge. The issue was resolved very quickly.

This hotel still gets 5 stars even though there was a hiccup because of the service. We felt like the only guests in the hotel - if you requested something, someone would be at your door within 2 minutes. It was also awesome that there's a hotel car that can take you within a 3 mile radius at no charge - only when it's available. It's on a first come, first serve basis but it was available most of the time that we needed it. Entire staff was courteous and helpful. This hotel encapsulates 5 star service! Will definitely return here next time I'm in LA.

This is really nice! I can't lie. It's a bit pricy for economy people. But it's really good. They provide hygiene products in the bathroom, ready to go. If you want Hand Soap, use the Body Soap. Overall, really good stuff. They have a really good view outside during the night.

It is not a terrible hotel, but a far cry from what an Omni property at this price in a major city should be. The property is dated, the service is mediocre and the overall experience was 3 stars at best.

Good conference stay. Adjacent food court closed on weekends. In house food/coffee was very good but pricey. Super quick plumber on call saved the day. Incompetent, over-priced car valet. Decent pool doesn't get a lot of sun due to surrounding high rises. Slow elevators. Fun 4th floor terrace with putting games, veg garden, heated outdoor seating, and great views. Inobstrusive professional staff. No real issues, except valet.

I booked an online reservation and paid extra for a king size bed, upon checking in the room coming from a 6hr trip from Sacramento I glanced at the ceiling and noticed a flying roach which are known to cause health issues I immediately took pictures then contacted customer service in which they moved me in a down graded room with double beds their best regards was to accommodate free valet for the remainder of my stay. This service quality is poor, unsanitary and unprofessional. I feel like a under valued customer and taken advantage of.

Stayed here twice, 2008 and 2009, in very nice double rooms with very comfortable beds. Didn't use much of the facilities, except the free coffee and newspaper delivered at the door in the morning, available through the free Omni Select Guest membership.
Pros: Just a short walk to the metro station.
Cons: No breakfast included.

The concierge noticed the lost expression on my face and took it upon herself to help me find the event I had been hired to photograph there. She was very helpful and set the tone for a great day.

Ok, just ok. If you re traveling for work you won t notice anything about this place that s out of the ordinary. If you re a tourist in L.A. you won t like this place. The lobby is nice the rooms are old, dark and in my case falling apart.

Shuttle service is a big plus.

It was a nice hotel I stayed 5 days there in a gold member and as a gold member you have room Preferences I requested a room with one bed they game me one with two I called to change it and said there s nothing they can do and on top of that I asked for a mini fridge and never got one the valet gets a 5 star rating very kind and fast

The rooms were extremely clean and cleaned every day while you are there. The conference spaces they have are well kept and they keep on taking people's dishes and trash. The valet people were very kind and helped out whether you were using their services or not. Great experience overall.

Both Amy and Kelvin provided EXCELLENT concierge services - from booking tours and car service to recommending restaurants and museums to finding us spa services outside the Omni when the Omni Spa was took booked to take us on a short notice request. They both made our stay so enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about both of them. Robin, our Hotel Courtesy Car driver, was another grand asset to making our stay at the Omni so pleasurable. He was courteous, kind and enjoyable to converse with during our numerous 'drives' during our visit. These 3 people were excellent. I also would like to mention our Omni Spa technicians - my granddaughter and I booked 2 services each during our stay - all 4 treatments were excellent - all 4 technicians did a wonderful job. Restaurants were also very good - service and food. Great Jazz style piano player Saturday night at the Noe Lounge. Breakfast was always good at the Grand Cafe. The actual rooms could use some updating, but the personnel were so great it overrode the averageness of the room. Highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at an American academic conference. Basically, I couldn't stay in downtown, but I could stay cheaply as specified by the academic society. I think all meals are good.
It is a luxury hotel that has no problem in Los Angeles for the first time.

Food was phenomenal! I enjoyed every bite. Had the Salmon and my husband had the prime rib, both were cooked perfectly. Great ambiance and service. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and was even complimented with two glasses of champagne to toast. We will definitely visit again.

The Omni LA is super convienently located upscalr venue. Close to many cultural ventues (the Brode & Moca museums; Disney Hall, thte Dorothy Chandler Hall , great restaurants etc. The staff is friendly, knowlegeable, and very helpful. All in all, great place to stay.

No free WiFi, no refrigerator, and it took five hours to check in despite being assured of an early morning check in upon booking. Many others who attended a conference with me expressed they also had difficulties checking in. Staff seems inexperienced with conference block reservations.

Fantastic hotel and exceptional service! All of the staff this hotel have been the most service-oriented and friendliest people I have ever encountered. I have nothing to complain about their service and couldn't ask for more. I wasn't disappointed with my three nights here. I will be back shortly. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time. The reason was that I was invited to participate at a wedding ceremony and this hotel was recommended to me by the Bride's family. I was generally very satisfied. I would therefore try to stay there whenever I am travelling to the close-by locations. I would also recommend it to my friends and business associates who may travel to the area.

Location is near MOCA and Grand Central Market. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had great views of downtown. Free breakfast was included in our stay and it was a great breakfast with eggs, wakes, sausage, potatoes, granola, bagels, fruits and pastries.
