Superior service of the staff was greatly p=appreciated. The room was first class and the food in the grand meridian was excellent. I recommend it highly.
This Omni is an excellent hotel with very helpful staff members. Everyone was courteous and always ready to assist. Our room was spacious and very clean. Being attached to the CNN tower with its nice food court was also a plus. Great 2-night stay.
My family stayed at this hotel for 5 days and we enjoyed it. Rooms were nice with a great view. Easy access to everything in the city. Only downside was the beds were hard and not comfortable. More importantly, you are forced to valet your car and pay $45 a night for parking and they were inefficient. When busy, it took over 30 minutes to get our car with many people roaming around. That was extremely frustrating.
Eh, not the best customer service at this OMNI location. The light in my room burned out and it wasn't replaced in the four days I was there. The staff was no where to be seen half the time at the registration or concierge desks at the main entrance.
The hotel is very large and it is part of the CNN Center Complex. The rooms are outdated. They are weird shaped. Now a day we need outlets and they are not placed in convenient spots. The pillows are not very comfortable. It needs some remodeling.
Great hotel for the night after seeing Cirque de Soliel with my young daughter(7). They treated her like a princess and she loved every second! The service at Prime, and room service was spot on. We live local but like to have a Mommy/Daughter get away occasionally and this should hotel was perfect.
I was very poorly attended at the front desk by Lashandra. she did not look in my face. the front desk was empty and our check in at 3 am took 28 minutes. the towel in the bathroom was used and with hair
I enjoyed my stay at the Omni Hotel during MomoCon on Memorial Day Weekend. The entire staff was extremely helpful, courteous, pleasant and above all they always had a smile.
I also volunteer at the convention and the hotel liaisons never failed to check and see if everything was running smoothly. The staff was also exceptional at resolving any problem that did arise.
This hotel is directly across from Centennial Olympic Park, The World of Coca-Cola, Skyview Atlanta (A Ferris Wheel), The Center for Civil and Human Rights & The Georgia Aquarium.
There's also an abundance of restaurants and bars on Marietta St & it's also walking distance from Peachtree Street with a fair share of restaurants and bars as well.
Honestly, as a native of Atlanta I would like to say that Downtown a Tourist Trap. However the attractions are not something to simply dismiss. I recommend everyone who has the means should absolutely experience them.
With all that being said the Omni is a great choice to stay when there's an event at The Georgia World Congress Center. It's also very convenient to 3 MARTA train stations and they're all walking distance. You're also walking distance from the streetcar.
The staff here is very friendly! Everybody is super nice and very hospitable. However, for the money, the rooms just aren't very nice. My room has a small TV by today's standards, and it isn't visible from the desk, so I can't work and watch TV in the background. The lighting is very poor, it's very dark in my room, no overhead lighting. Also, some of the didn't finish isn't up to standard for this price range. The light switch on the desk is broken and I have to use two hands to get the lights on and off. Also, I didn't know that I would have an inward facing room. There's a big Atrium, and a balcony, but I'm just looking inside the hotel. I would have preferred to have been asked if I wanted a outside facing or interior facing room.
I enjoyed my experience. It's a great place to bring the family or have a date night. Each person will enjoy the food and entertainment during the basketball games.
Came here for a convention. The place was fine and clean but I ended but running food errands because people in costume were reportedly being arrested if they came into the good court. I was in normal clothes so I ran food to some cosplaying friends. It was an interesting conundrum.
The building itself is really nice and quite a sight, the tour however, is a huge let down! You pay to walk through mostly back hallways and stairwells!
Honestly, not a great hotel. Massive, not enough options for food, 3 lobby s means you re never going to be at the same one as your Uber driver, the WiFi is brutally slow even with the upgrade. Rooms are fine, staff is great. Just too large to be convenient or comfortable.
The hotel is well run, and their staff too greatly pride in their work, and good care of their guests. They really went above and beyond this week for us.
This place was very nice and the rooms were really fancy and luxurious. It had a fine spa along with the swimming pool and gym. This is an overall good place to go if you are visiting Atlanta because there are a lot of tourists attractions all around this place including the CNN Center tour that is located within it. Hope this helps to make your final decision on going to Omni hotel or not.
The air was not controlled by the thermostat in the room so we had a very uncomfortable stay. The internet is offered for free, but only after they charge you (they'll give it back) and you have to go online to be a "select guest" member. I was also charged taxes even though I turned in the tax exemption form. Will they refund my money? Yes. Is it aggravating having to go through all this hassle to get it? YES!!
Come here regularly for meetings and conferences but have never stayed in the hotel since I'm local. Experience with the meeting spaces has been good and the staff is mostly helpful and friendly, but larger events seem to fluster them quite a bit.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was very nice and clean. I enjoyed the view and proximity to the Coke Factory and GA Aquarium. I disliked the fact that the room didn't have a microwave and that parking was so expensive and that the only option was valet parking.
Great location, very friendly staff, the big window in my room had an amazing view of the city. I took plenty of pictures and will definitely stay here again.
Overall a bland experience for a 4 star hotel. Stayed in the CNN tower portion of the hotel. The room was very dated. For a 4 star hotel is was very Days Inn like with the furniture.
The staff though was very nice and what I expect at a 4 star hotel. The valet was super friendly.
PLEASE READ: My boyfriend and I had a concert for Twenty One Pilots. I reserved this hotel to make sure that we don t get charged for parking or things like that away from the hotel. We were able to walk to the State Farm arena in under 3 minutes. I requested the North tower because I read a few reviews saying it was cleaner. I got to the hotel about 9 am, she said there wasn t any King s ready so I got a double. Let me tell you something about this room: It s so very clean. It s gorgeous. Everything is clean; the window, the mirrors, the bathtub, the sink, the beds, everything. For the price I paid for this room, I m not even upset. The elevators worked, the escalators worked. The staff was all so super nice. Also let me add, the bed was incredibly comfy and the pillows felt like they were worth a million! I hate that it s vallet parking and we had to pay extra because we don t have access to our car unless we ask for it but in this city, I completely understand why they do. Long story short: I was the one that was listening to the bad reviews and had to stick with my gut here so I do recommend this hotel and I definitely will be back. This hotel exceeded my expectations so much! Edit: We did have a little problem with the smoke detector, it beeped so we were guessing it was low on battery. We called someone up and the man came in under 10 minutes and he was super nice too.
The rooms are a bit pricey for what's offered. The overall experience was marred by the fact that I was given a small room, but after bringing it to the attention of the staff was given a slightly larger one.
We came to ATL to see Fluffy perform at Philips Arena & stayed here during that visit!!!! We really enjoyed our room with a balcony over the Atrium in the CNN Center! Highly recommended staying here! It is very convenient for access to Philips!
I was staying for a conference, and frankly I'm unimpressed by this hotel compared to other cheaper hotels I've stayed at. The biggest things it has to bring it up from one star is mediocre WiFi and direct access to the CNN food court. The room I was in wasn't really big enough to accommodate the 4 people in our group due to the small beds and little living space. In my opinion we would have been better off in a much cheaper motel.
Friendly, helpful staff, roomy guest room with a great view of the park (king room in the North tower), and located near many Atlanta attractions. Definitely caters to large groups, but it was a good value for our short stay.
