Called twice to confirm my address and pickup date, gave them extra info on the phone, lady said she would "make a note" and everything would be taken care of. Yesterday they were supposed to pick up the donations and they're still here. Called me today to tell me they had the wrong address although I confirmed with them twice over the phone and twice over email and they acted like it was my fault. Nice. Try to be more reliable, probably better places to donate stuff to.

Keep getting phone calls, even though I repeatedly request they remove my number, or at least they should follow federal requirements that they check the "do not call" list first. Tried to find out information on OFCP, as they claim to be a charity, however there is no information in the CRA charity listings database for OFCP. If they are a charity as they claim, they should have a registration number, and make their financial statements available, which is a federal requirement. There seems to be a perceived aura of "shadyiness" concerning OFCP, due to the difficulty (impossible?) nature of determining operating information.

I have been donating to this organization for over ten years but recently found out it's a total scam from the community. Your donations are 100 % not going to the cause. Check out videos on YouTube about the management scandal, it's disgusting. Apparently, the senior manager Marilyn that used to arrange for my donations to be picked up every two months and on time was framed for stealing the donations for over 20 years, along with the drivers that work for the organization. I stopped donating when Marilyn stopped processing my pickup requests for over two months. Stop calling me for donations!

The office staff contacts were very helpful, and my pickup was the day they promised, coming at end of day at 4:30pm. The pickup driver took everything, even complimenting my father's artwork I was donating. In view of the negative reviews I read I felt I had to post my positive one. Thanks OFCP.

Great organization that does their best to help people including my kid with resources for cerebral palsy. For the negative comments regarding donation pick up's, I'm sure they try to do their best to pick all the generous donations from people, but they also rely on volunteers to do this. To rate this organization poorly because they didn't pick up your donations and clothes seems misleading on how much this organization actually does to help those affect by cerebral palsy and their families. My suggestion would be to help by donating a bit of your time to drop off the items and clothes at a location near you. Thank you Mother of a CP child #cpstrong

I just recently recieved a call and donated. I even got a confirmation the day before. Clothes got picked up on the day off agreed date. Instrcutions was clear. We have to give them time to pick up as at time esp weather could be a factor. We even received a paper that it was picked up. Not sure why other people are complaining of calls for I always get good customer service with this organization, good and professional communication is key. Keep up the good work as a lot of children needs your organization.

To all the people with negative comment and mind set. This is a charity and your helping them because of the goodness of your heart, no one has forced you to take the call and help them. least you can do when you help, is not to tell the world about how unforgiving you are. These people are helping people with a terrible disease, that is their commitment, not bending forward and backward to make some naggers happy. Have some mercy on the end users and recipient of their service because God forbidden might happen to you selfish morons. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything then.

Grateful to donate to a local charity that needs more public support; always happy when they call to arrange a donation. We have happily given bagged small household items and clothes to OFCP over the years. 100% reliable, prompt, and professional with convenient pick up at our door.

Annoying Bunch. They call about 2-3 times a week. I've informed them multiple times that I am not interested in leaving anything for them. I'm informed them that if they had a "Do not call" list, they should put my number on it but still keep calling.

OFCP calls me every couple of months and I try to help them out. I look all over my house to find things for them. This time I've had stuff on my steps for two days. Yesterday, I called them three times and finally they told me that the driver was going to come today. After coming home and finding the stuff was STILL on my front steps, I was told that the driver didn't bother to tell them that he hadn't come to my house. I actually had to ASK for an apology. If they can't take the time to let me know they aren't going to bother to come, I can find someone else to donate to. Organizations like this should hire people who know a bit about common courtesy because none of the people I spoke to had any.

cerebral palsy is a very difficult disease. this organization does call me occassionally, but it does not harass me, as some of these reviews suggest. they are always polite. they remind me about donations. they did miss a day once , maybe twice but i just left the items out and they picked them up the next day. there are many high profile organizations -diabetes association, cancer association that are very high profile and get multitude of donations with out canvassing people. this organization is not one of them. cp is not a really common disease and i feel that this is probably an organization that may actually benefit from my donations. i cannot comment on how they use the money, or donations , i hope they use it well. but if you give to value village they are a for profit organization and are just profiting off your donations , if you want to donate to the diabetes association go ahead but they get billions of dollars donated to them , and this organization does not.

OFCP has called me before, but I think I may not have listened to the appeal. This time I did and I am glad. They were looking for clothing donations (though apparently they will accept a lot of other things, toys and household items if they can be lifted by one person). They do pick up. I agreed, reluctantly, but it was a good opportunity to get rid of clothes that no longer fit me but were of a quality that made me hang on to them. Glad to have had that nudge that got me to clear some unneeded things out, free up space, and help a worthy cause. For years now no one has been willing to pick up donations. First they put up big boxes as donation sites, for me a drive or cab ride. Then those disappeared and even profiteers like Goodwill wanted you to deliver to them. A lot of things ended up on the street or in the garbage as a result. OFCP called me with a reminder. Since I live on a busy street with no parking and pickup day was also garbage day here, they also agreed to call me as the truck was approaching so I could meet him at the curb. Very happy about my experience. I will donate to this organization whenever I can. Turns out my donations help ME as well. :)

Someone called me, asked me to donate used clothing, gave me a date for pick-up, then reminded me the day before the scheduled pickup. No one showed up. I called CP and left a message, however, no one had the courtesy to return my call. I will not donate again.

Hopeless bunch. Phoned me asking for clothes, shoes etc. Agreed to do so. Phoned day before to remind me and and confirm address. Put stuff out by 7 am. Still there the next day. Phoned, and eventually got information that I was not on the list for pick up. Second time this has happened. Woman at the office couldn't bring herself to offer an apology. I suppose the cause might be good, but I will find another.

This review is for OFCP Funding Program: My son has received funding from the funding program for many years and we are very grateful for the assistance. A special thank you goes out to Cathy and Biswatie for their hard work and dedication. Lilly

I've never had an issue with this charity coming to collect goods (whereas I found others to be more hit and miss). I'm saddened by the bad reviews on here by others. There are a lot of hard-working volunteers behind the scenes, I suspect, and people are scrutinizing this charity over trivial things. Everyone needs to be a little kinder.

The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy (OFCP) is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been serving the needs of people with cerebral palsy in the province of Ontario for over 65 years. The OFCP is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with cerebral palsy by providing support, resources, and advocacy.

Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects movement and coordination. It can be caused by brain damage before, during or after birth. People with cerebral palsy often face challenges in their daily lives such as mobility issues, communication difficulties and social isolation. The OFCP recognizes these challenges and works tirelessly to address them.

The OFCP's mission is to promote independence, inclusion, choice and full integration of all persons with cerebral palsy. They achieve this through a variety of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals living with this condition.

One such program offered by the OFCP is their Assistive Devices Program which provides funding for assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers or communication aids that are not covered by government programs or private insurance plans. This program helps individuals access equipment they need to live more independently.

Another important service provided by the OFCP is their Information & Referral Program which connects people affected by cerebral palsy with resources in their community such as support groups or recreational activities. This program helps reduce social isolation while promoting inclusion within society.

In addition to these programs, the OFCP also offers educational resources for families affected by cerebral palsy including workshops on topics like financial planning or navigating government services.

The work done by the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy would not be possible without generous donations from supporters across Ontario. Donations help fund vital programs and services that improve quality of life for those living with this condition.

If you are interested in supporting this important cause you can make a donation directly on their website or participate in one of their fundraising events throughout the year like "Step Up Challenge" where participants climb stairs at iconic locations across Toronto while raising funds for people living with disabilities.
