Beautiful Snow, we enjoyed the scenery, & snack, & ice skating but most of all we were privileged to lead a young Lady to repent & accept Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior; Praise God He knows how to put us at the right place at the right time. Another name written down in Heaven.

Come all the way to Tennessee to eat wiener schnitzel and brats which were excellent.

Not bad, not great. The staff aren't very helpful if you need to ask for directions. If it is your first time in the snow, this is great. If not, then you probably won't enjoy yourself too much. The view from the tram is great and ice skating was fun.

Would be 5 stars buck 8 dollars for parking is steep!

Havent ice skated in so long - it hurt my feet and ankles. By the time we left i was getting used to it but we only skated for 1.5 hrs out of 3! Still enjoyed watching my 11yr old who had never skated before discover the adventure!

Colossal waste of time. Don't bother. Over an hour wait to get back up the mountain. They only have 2 trams running. Over priced. No one is social distancing and very few people in masks. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Very disappointing! From the first four encounters with workers, we were ready to leave. Everyone was rude and acted like they didn t want to be there. Bathrooms were filthy.

It is a neat place but is dated. Was confusion on where to buy tickets for what event. You get nickel and dimed for every little thing.

If you can't find something here to take home with you, well you're not looking. Lots of souvenirs. Octoberfest going on now. Make sure you take the tram up the mountain because that's were the rink, bear zoo and German Restaurant is. Good food and old fashioned German music and food.

Complete waste of money! Lots of miscommunication with no one to really guide you around! It may have been my own fault for not reading the site correctly but it wasn t real snow it was all man made. The tram ride up was beautiful but the place itself not impressed at all. I definitely won t be going back. We were a little late for our snow tubing session and they didn t let us do it although we had paid for tickets and had them printed out. During the holidays they should allow a little more flexibility for people. I was just very disappointed over all. And it honestly can be a little cleaner and nicer I felt it was dirty. Just over all was a bad experience

My family and I love Ober. My husband and I try to visit for Oktoberfest each year. There are some parts that are a little outdated but new activities are being added regularly. It's a great place to go as a couple or to take the family for ice skating, mountain coaster, etc

Good fun riding up and down the mountain. Social distancing is mute. Cramb in a container and small inclosed spaces. Lack of mask wearing by the public. Unrelenting babble by 20 somethings, whining and childish behavior.

My son and I just rode the glass car up the mountain to see the top. We enjoyed the ride and looking out over Gatlinburg. We peeked out at all the activities and it looked like it would be a lot of fun. Then we got right back in the next tram and went right back down the mountain. It was a beautiful ride. I would definitely do this again!

We had a nice family MLK holiday weekend. Lots of people around which in these pandemic times had to be careful, although social distancing was ignored everywhere we went. Had a nice weekend of snow boarding and skiing. Expect long lines for pretty much everything, however, they move at a good pace. I can only imagine how busy it was before Covid times.

This was an amazing Gondola ride 1/2 way up a mountain. We took a skylift up to the very top. The views was spectacular. Beyond our expectations. Loved it.

Expensive but worth it!! The view is absolutely incredible and there is tons of things for the whole family to do. What I was most impressed with was the wildlife experience, which took injured animals or animals born in captivity and gave them a stellar home. Caring staff and the CUTEST animals in the world made us stay for over an hour. Take time to visit the otters, who are showy little guys who love people and followed us around to show us tricks. The bears are super cute also and it was an amazing time.

It was my our first time ice skating as a family. We had an absolute blast. The place is a little out dated and the staff were a little rough. The arcade was a joke they were old machines and only a select few worked. As for the fun, my family and I had a wonderful time.

The employees here are the actual worst, they don t care about your safety at all. The skiers are all scrubs coming in from their vacation in gatlinburg so be prepared to get hit by skiers who can t ski :-)

This was my favorite part of Gatlinburg! Ice bumper cars, self controlled coaster, great views up ski lifts, fun for all ages.

Only complaint was on the way back, we got on the large lift (stand in with group of ppl) and the lady shuttling forced 120 ppl in and yelled at us for not squeezing more when there were still 15-20 people left outside. She was mean while the rest of the staff joked and laughed.

Long lines for the tram, but worth the wait! Amazing place with a good amount to do.

Loved the ice skating. They also have tons of activities for all ages!

Ice skating, tubing and sking- what more can I say? Great family fun.

Had a really good time. Wasn't enough time in the day to do everything! Only downfall was the rude lady we had taking the airtram. She could use some training in communication.

Nice area great views if you buy the lift ticket all the way to the top. Now if people would use their normal voice at a normal level ,(northerners) the trip on the tram would have been better.

Such a fun place for everyone. Can either drive up the mountain there or park in downtown Gatlinburg and take the skytram or ski lift up. And you can take a ski lift even higher once there to see some of the highest points. Ice skating, restaurants, and cute shops are a must see here.

Our grandchildren absolutely loved their visit and we loved sharing it with them. Plenty to do. They especially loved the iceskating and the bumper cars on ice. Nice shopping around the arena and in the town. We didn't have the time to explore it all.

Run down. Looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s when I was in high.

Ober can be obnoxiously crowded and I'm not a huge fan of the tram service. You can still have fun but you better bring ample patience.

My boyfriend and I loved it. Especially when it started snowing. We really enjoyed ourselves.

JANUARY 14 2018

Had a great visit with my son. He Skied, I Ice Skated. I fell and ended up with a broken wrist. OBER GATLINBURG Emergency Services took quick attention and put me in a splint, where I then went for medical attention at Blount Memorial. The kindness of the information worker(I wish I would have got her name) personally escorting me to Emergency Services, and seeing me later and wishing me the best was splendid. Thank you OBER GATLINBURG for the wonderful service and care I was provided. I will be returning and enjoying my beautiful mountains, maybe this time be a spectator. There is always plenty for one to do while visiting OBER GATLINBURG MTN TOP

Love everything about it! Lot's of family fun for every age!

We drove up parked for $10 to avoid. The $17 tram per preson.the 3 giggling girls at the CUSTOMER no help counter laughing at the older worker dressed up in the the attire .what a shame as they did not care .no social distance nothing there .and only 40 %mask .over priced and numb to your experience.

There was a 3 hour wait to get off the mountain. Due to rain, the tram system was down, but the buses used only took like 15 people at a time. There were only 2 buses and over 400 people... do the math... by now, this organization should have a better method to move people. 2 buses will obviously not be enough. What if there was a fire.. just saying. The slopes were great though. We only got to go on the beginner slope and we enjoyed it to the fullest!

Always enjoy our time here. Even when it's not asking season. I recommend the ski lift to the top. What a view.

Long waits for everything! We stood in line more time then we got to ski. Incredibly slow paperwork, nothing is digital and you have to carry a paper around to multiple places to get your gear. Not enough equipment racks to store equipment after collecting all the gear to do the other activities. The lockers that you can rent are not large enough to hold ski gear or snowboards. The snow tubing was pretty fun but you have to buy early and go within a set time which can be difficult due to waiting for gear so long. When you finally get to ski class there are so many people on the bunny slope that there is very little room to practice and people are running into each other. They had 14 people in our group and had probably 4 to 5 classes going at a time. The poles are also all throw together which means they don't clean them between uses and a lot of them were bent. The ice skates were very old and the shoe laces could definitely use replacing.
All in all, visiting Ober Gatlinburg left a bad taste in our mouth because of the outdated processes and lack of enthusiasm of employees added HOURS of dreaded lines to our day.

We went in 05/21. There were hardly any crowds and we walked into most rides/attractions. (Not sure if this is how it is all the time though). The tram was closed for maintenance so we took the bus up for free! (Not sure if this is an option when the team is working). We absolutely loved all the attractions and the Mountain Coaster was amazing! If you go up and do nothing else at least do the mountain coaster! We will be back!

Not worth it to me, if you go get there early to go up and early to go down if you get in the middle you can't see anything, up above me reminded me of a bad fair

Second and last time I'll ever go. Conditions are terrible, everything is overpriced. Overcrowded, no even a place for seating available. It's a victim of its own success.

For the price you get to do quite a bit of stuff. If you have little ones its good because they don't charge you for them. The main restaurant was not good. Save your money and do the snack bars instead.

There was something for all ages for our group. The youngest was 5 years old. Great family fun.

So much to do and isn't that expensive. I'd recommend going.

Beautiful and paradisiac place. Great place to be in touch with nature. Highly recommended.

I don't recommend the aerial tram. It can hold 120 people, with only 4 seats. Our "guide" Jeremy was miserable. He did not provide any narrative to what we were traveling over. I was struggling with a broken foot, and chronic pain so decided to remain on the tram to go back up the mountain. Jeremy was rude, unsympathetic and angry. He refused to allow me to stay on the tram. He said "I don't care, I have 80 other people waiting to get on, I need you to get off NOW." When I tried to explain, he got angrier and again "Get off NOW." I had to get back in line, standing for an hour waiting to get back on the tram.

So, unless you are healthy and can handle being packed in and standing with at least 119 other people, with no view of the scenery and only 4 seats, don't waste your money....it's not worth it!

We went in the morning so that the kids could enjoy it but it seems that the staff just kind of opens up the events when it is convenient for them whether thr park is open or not. The playground was closed. Half of the kiddie rides were closed. It was really a bust to have spent all of the money on an armband. We were only able to enjoy a handful of things.

A must-do if you are in Gatlinburg. Gondola ride is great, as is the chairlift to the top. Do the sled ride - it is fun!

The ONLY reason I'm giving this park 2 stars is because I liked our ski instructor. We started out on a bad note with this place when they sold out of tickets for the snow tubing. We had planned this trip a couple of months ahead of time but were unaware that you had to buy tickets in advance and that there were only limited slots available for the tubing. When I called to see if we could get placed on a list for people who did not show or canceled their slots, I was met with rude and impatient staff over the phone. They do not provide any cancellation list, therefore the slots go unused, yet they keep your money as there are no refunds. Not good. We decided to go skiing instead. It was our first time so we had to take a lesson first. Not really a big deal, it's $20 extra. But, the area where the lesson is given is also used for snowboarding lessons. It's a tiny area that has to be shared amongst 100 to 300 hundred people at the least. It was a busy weekend, so there were a ton of people doing exactly what we were doing. The area for lessons is very small considering how much money they are bringing in. For $100 a pop, there should be way more room to learn. Our ski instructor was very nice, but he did seem busy. You can take a private lesson but it cost a lot more. On our way down the aerial tram, which also costs $15 to ride, we were jammed in like sardines. We did not care for the conductor, as she was talking to one of the other employees that was riding the tram down, about how awful her schedule was and how tired she was. This just seems unprofessional and tacky to me. We won't go back. We loved the slopes and the scenery but their staff is terrible. They really need to lower their prices and pay their staff or get new help all together because the ones they have just don't seem happy. Not impressed with this overpriced ski park.

We didn't do the coasters or skiing, so that probably skews things. But outside of that it's just okay.

Neat experience to get up into the Great Smokey Mountain
