Great to be back after 20 years, hasn't changed much.
Took the gondola tram to the top, enjoyed the views, walked around to see what all attractions and activities were offered. Cool place. Not cheap but if you re looking for beginner skiing, snowboarding and getting acclimated to riding a ski lift, perfect. Ice rink indoors, some souvenir shops and snacks. It was a fun day.
Would be 5 star but the staff is rude and it could use a face lift.
Loved the aerial tram ride, only had time to do the ice skating on our first visit but we intend to come back and spend more time! Great views as well. Would have given five stars but the place needs some updating and most of the staff seemed un interested or disconnected from the customers and their experience there. We all had a great time at any rate!
The aerial tram was not worth it. They kept cramming people into our unit to the point that it wasn't enjoyable. If you are claustrophobic and you are looking for a smooth ride up the mountain this isn't for you. And once my wife and I reached Ober Gatlinburg we realized very quickly why the aerial tram was only $15.00 a person; there wasn't much to do. Very disappointing. Wish we would have decided on something else. However, if you are up for cheap entertainment, climb on board....if you can squeeze in.
The tram ride was okay, much too crowded, you could hardly see anything or take pictures. When we got to the top I was very disappointed. It was old, the animal encounter was terrible. I felt bad for the animals. We did not see one staff person down there. We could have gotten in for free. We went back pretty quickly.
Traffic was 3 hours. Too many people not wearing a mask
If you like snow skiing, or ice skating this is a fun place. The mountain coaster ride was great too. Places to eat as well.
Something you should experience awhile in Gatlinburg.
We went in February and were a little disappointed in the man-made snow because they had it blowing into a huge pile on the side instead of on the hill where we were tubing. When we, and other guests, asked the employees why it was like that, they just told us that's how it was. We still had fun but the ice skating was the most fun part since there was actually ice to skate on.
Friendly staff, breathtaking views, I would recommend this place
Was stopped at the front door for not wearing a mask. But yet I looked to the left and the people preparing food behind the glass window was not wearing masks. Ummmmm. Uhhh so do you believe in Covid or not? #sheep
Tons of fun for the entire family. Did the mountain coaster and the tubing both lots of fun.
Don't miss this attraction!! Plenty to do, you can easily spend the entire day here
My daughter loved the ice skating and the maze. We all enjoyed the aerial tram up to Ober. Got to see some bears and other animals at Animal Encounter. We had a great time at Ober Gatlnburg
Likely one of the few Oktoberfest in the world. Very low key. Got to ride a ski chairlift to the top of the mountain for good views. Beer was cheap. Food list and prices reasonable and pretty good. Three different bands. Very low crowds. Loved it. Oktoberfest was great. $10 to park. Lots of activities for kids and Family fun. Old carnival style. Indoor ice skating rink. Good fudge and pralines.
Dang, I like coming here and bringing the kids, but the lines to check in for equipment are just brutal.... plan on at least an hour and a half tacked on for equipment rentals or three and a half extra hours it you are in town and taking the Tram up to equipment rentals. Granular Ice Pellets from the snow machines, but we are in the south....
A fun place for kids and grown-ups..has a tramway upto 1290 feet and another Senic lift till 3590 feet. Lots of activities like food, alpine sledding, zoo, etc to keep one busy and empty ones pockets the view is amazing..
kind people, if you buy the first ticket you only pay that time and you can enjoy almost all the attractions they have as many times as you want
I love it I love everything about this little and its hospitality everywhere we went. Perfect for families....
Ice skating , tubing, skiing, arcades, pizza and hot dogs
Poor internet website caused us to drive 35 minutes to get there since it looked as though things were open til 9. Got there to find that all activities you spend $14 to get to close at 5. Then we see we should be able to get to do the alpine coaster but without notice and only 2 drops of rain they closed the ride for safety. Maybe just didn't want to pay the operator. Thought kids under 4 were free to ride but fine print said with paying adult. The free play area was full of broken and filthy balls in the ball pit. Tram was packed and then they pushed employees in front of paying customers. View from the tram was nice (higher view was additional fee) but definitely just a money grab in all.
Don t go. 4 hours of waiting in lines before even getting to ski and then waiting in more lines to ski. Terrible!! A zero!!!
Amazing place and awesome people. Can't wait to return hopefully to experience the snow
I enjoy working here and I enjoy working with my coworkers and working with all the guests and hope they will all come again and visit with us
We were pretty underwhelmed by Ober Gattlinburg. There are a few shops, a few games/rides for kids and a couple places to eat ( a German Restaurant, Mexican Fast Food and a small snack bar). There is also a bar. The best part of Ober Gatlinburg is the tram ride up and back. Absolutely incredible views! If you have never taken the trip up via the cable drawn tram you should do it at least once. We were glad we went to check it out but it's doubtful we would go back. FYI the trams fill up so get in line quickly if your in a hurry to get back down to Gatlinburg.

We loved it seen the Bears and did the Alpine slide . Great family fun.
The very best of vacations can't say enough good things about it
The 70 s called, they want their complex back
Dingy complex feels cheap and tacky inside. Wild Animal Exhibit looks depressing from the air, with animals pacing about in small pens dominated by concrete. This place feels like it was built in the 1970 s and never updated.
Very awesome place!! Prices are ok. Only gave 4 stars for all the long waits. Give yourself alot of time due to traffic and bring your patients!
Great time. Beautiful view. Kids loved the ice bumper boats and the mountain coaster.
Disappointed in the customer service. I brought 60 high school seniors to Gatlinburg for their senior trip. We called in advance and made reservations. Due to weather we were told to prepay for tubing and wait for skiing. Tubing time was 1pm and we were to arrive at 11 but ziplining took more time so we arrive around 11:30. Instead of them just letting us tub...she insisted that we pay and set up for skiing. This took an hour of our tubing time...only to have it thunderstorm and not be able to ski. We were given waivers ahead of time and it was a waste because we still had to fill out more forms and the chaperones had to sign for anyone under 18. In hindsight, I should have insisted that we pay for the skiing after tubing and just paid for the tram for everyone. They didn't even come back by tram but she refused to refund the tram amount. Just horrible. This was group sales but they were not group ready. Also, gave me a lot of grief for paying with cash and card. This was the last activity of a total of 5 and all the other locations were so group friendly and accommodating. The lady at the desk was more concerned with her accounting/books instead of our experience.
This place is a scam. You have to pay to park and then pay to ride the tram and then pay again to do any of the activities which would have been fine if when I went to buy a
Wristband they had told me that two of the included activities were closed. The sales person waited until I had signed on the dotted line before telling me that the 2 best rides were closed.
On Top that no one smiled, no one was helpful with my questions, no one seemed interested in helping me figure out what to do on my families 1st visit. This place also looks very rundown. The tram ride was the only redeeming aspect.
Real nice starting point for lots of snow related activitives like skating, tubing, sking and even an aerial tram. The staff is real helpful and pleasant.
If I was a kid I'd never want to leave. It's a great family place.
1. Great place to sled if there isn't any natural/real snow on the ground elsewhere. I little pricey for the not-so-steep slope. They should expand that part of the park. They hadn't laid fresh "snow" on the slope when we went.
2. The chondala ride to Downtown Gatlinburg was good but the Spanish guy Luis was flurting with my wife and 23 year old daughter. Not acceptable. Won't be returning anytime soon.
3. The Ski Coaster was the best part.
What a fun time we had at this place. Most entertaining tour. Fun rides. Reasonably priced.
Always a joy to bring the kids here and let them play around
Band was awesome. Not disabled or elderly friendly, I felt they treat the elderly disrespectful. Just because my mom doesn't look 83, doesn't mean she's not. Oktoberfest in full swing.
Equipment wasn't the best, although the slopes were fun. Overall had a great time.
We got there early and went snow tubing. Would have been nicer if it was a little longer ride and not so much of a line with crying babies! Wanted to ride the chair lift up the mountain, it didn't open until 10 and after 10:10 some guy was rude and said they wouldn't be open for awhile that they had to clean the chair off. We ended up giving several tickets away because we didn't want to wait around.
Skiing is not for everyone but this please I LOVE it
This place is really neat, it is older but the cable car ride to the top and the view during and once you get there is amazing!
Great experience unlike any other. The tram was fun and lots of activities.
Amazing scenic ride up the mountains that takes you to a cozy shopping center up top. There were food, multiple shops, a place to veiw and purchase a personalized photograph and a zoo.
We had an amazing time!!!! The sky lift was exhilarating. Can't wait to go back. Going to try the mountain coaster next time! I love that the kids give one ticket for their "kiddy rides" and then get unlimited riding. Awesome!!!!
Rode alpine slide with no line, coaster took 1 hour with what looked like a medium line. Went to PF and rode twice in 30 minutes. Skiing closed due to warm weather, snow tubing was sold out.
Really fun place to go. Beautiful views as well. Highly recommend it.
It's ok most of attraction was closed I don't know why.
Just a great experience. The lift up the mountain is a must.
Was told everything was open even in rain after paying for parking nogging was open except ice skating
Experience the ride on the tram
Each experience cost
Black bear can see and sledding
It's raining and you can experience ice sheet state, sledding ..
Tram tickets can be used for two days
Lots of winter activities to do, I recommend just driving up instead of taking the tram saves you a lot of money!
Every employee except our first tram driver and the cafe workers seemed like they were being held against there will. They were all very unpleasant and not willing to help in any way. Skiing was decent but the amount of people they let on the slopes is to much. You have no space. The best park was snow tubing (those employees were actually nice!). The building is as run down and stinky as it was last time I visited 17 years ago. If you are going to do snow activities I would recommend going with an open mind. Other than that I would avoid this attraction. If you do find yourself up there though don t forget to go see the animals!
Not impressed with the animal exhibit at Ober Gatlinburg. Honestly my family and I are concerned about their welfare. The bears looked unhappy and not well taken care of. One looked very sick. Their living area was absolutely disgusting. Bear feces was everywhere and their drinking water was nasty. I felt bad for them. This facility should be inspected. No animal should have to live like that.
Great view of Gatlinburg on the tram ride up and love that they had a ice skating rink at the top
The guy at the top cooking Oktoberfest food constantly complains how he needs a smoke. The cars taking you up and down are very overcrowded and hot, and the employees are garbage. What a waste.
Good family fun, but very dated and could use updating.
The concept is great. We enjoyed riding up on the ski lift and tubing was such a great time with the kids. I wish they had more of an outdoor entertaining area instead of a mall like inside area. When we went there wasn t a lot of the rides going on even though there was a decent amount of people there. I d recommend to check out this place at least once while you re in town.
Went to go tubing but were Sold Out. Make sure to purchase online prior, but if it's later in the day then you have to pay to ride the tram up and that's alot more than parking.
The snow is great and too much fun. Sign up early for the tubing online or you might not get a space.
Lots to do here.
There is an awesome coffee shop at the bottom of the tram (in town).
Awesome experience it takes you two and a half miles straight up a mountain then you can ride carts down the mountain slides or you can ride the ski lift to the top of the mountain where they have music and eat
What's not to love?! Especially during Octoberfest!
