Needs a facelift across the board... We were sketched out by the skylift too. The animal experience has some cool TN animals, but their habitat is pretty much pitiful, especially with me being someone who loves seeing wildlife in is natural habitat. I know they say these can't be returned to the wild, but they need somewhere to stretch their legs. I'm sure this place was a hot ticket a decade or two ago, but we were glad we didn't buy an all inclusive pass. Maybe it's just not our cup of tea, and others will find it to be enjoyable. We didn't have any bad experience with staff or anything.
Would be nice if there was a sign, before going on tram up the mountain, that states certain rides/activities are not available after a certain time. We spent $38 to go up and we got here a little after 7p and only option was ice-skating, of course no warning before riding up. Please inform customers.
One of the best parks in Gatlinburg. Its attractions and services are excellent.
I would avoid this and go to Anakeesta instead a lot of the attractions were down and they refused to answer any questions about it. If you are dead set on going just ice skate and leave
Awesome place to snow ski for first timers.
Had a blast.
Cozy little town with fun things to do. Food is awesome and I loved the atmosphere.
We enjoyed riding the cable lift and seeing the view. Lots to see in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Worth the trip. We will be back!
Everything was almost the same as it was 15 years ago... out dated and the wildlife habitat needs some love. I felt sorry for the animals.
This is for the Tubing only, I wouldn t do it again because we had 90 minute slot and had time to do it 3 times. If your going to do blocks of time then limit the amount of people or get things moving faster. The magic carpet ride to get up is slow but the process to launch is even slower. 3 turns in 90 minutes isn t worth the money.
Definitely do this and nice weather AKA little to no clouds, plan a good two to three hours. I recommend riding the chair lifts all the way up to the peak there's a lot of times live music up there at the peak and amazing breathtaking views. I highly recommend the Mountain slides for kids and young adults. If you have back issues I do not recommend it, especially if it's not your last day in Gatlinburg as it may tear you up.
Absolutely a blast! Ice skating was my favorite. The views are absolutely breath taking! A great place to visit for the whole family. Lifetime memories made. We have been 4 times now! & We will definitely be going back.
Signed up for tubing online $66 for 2
They over book it and you can't get but maybe 3 runs. Sorry the run wasn't worth $20 each.
Fun on the tram up to the top of the mountain where there are lots of activities..... ice skating to roller coaster rides
So much fun, and the view was amazing! I highly recommend taking the tram at least once for anyone coming to Gatlinburg.
Not been since a teenager. They still have the sled ride that was always something we looked forward to. My youth group would take us to Gatlinburg for Winterfest back in the 90's and this place was one of everybody favorite.
Very friendly staff and nice place to ski or just grab a beer and people watch.. They make their own snow if not enough is on the ground.. the slopes are good for all grades of skiing.. and the equipment is decent.. will be back.
Best time was watching the snowboarders and skiers.
I love the tram in Gatlinburg . We go every year and I ride it every year.
We love Ober! Ice skating was a blast! Love the atmosphere and well!
A very nice place to visit! Saw bear as the lift was going up. And ice bump cars were a lot of fun!
Great vacation spot to travel to! Courteous staff as well!
First off, they need to place signs stating that there's a $5 parking fee that you will be stopped on an incline in your vehicle to pay. Secondly, it smells of old gym socks in the place and could really use some new carpet. Lastly, the Seasons restaurant waiter was very unprofessional and I even saw him over in the corner eating after he took our order, then he gets up and wipes his hands on his ass and immediately brings our food out so I knew he didnt wash his hands! But most of all there were steps to the restaurant and I didnt see a wheel chair ramp or elevator, so ADA access may be limited.
Very effective registration process and easy accessibility to the routes. First time tubing in fake snow was fun. Wished the tubing route was longer in time and distance.
Love, Love, Love!!! Kids, Hubby and I all found stuff to do that we enjoyed. All the staff were very helpful and kind. Charlie, our tram host was very funny!! Everything seemed clean and organized.
Had a great time during October Fest ! Absolutely loved the breath taking views going up the mountains!!!
It was ok. If it is not cold, there is not really much to do. It was too warm for good snow.
Went to the Seasons restaurant for Thanksgiving...what a pathetic excuse for food! Stood in line for 30 mins for a make-shift "buffet" that served slop. Felt like a soup kitchen for the homeless. The food was not edible! Disgusting!
I enjoyed the snow tubing experience a lot, and found the staff to be fun and welcoming. The game arcade is disappointing... I don't think any game in there is under 20 years old and the displays are dim. Go for the snow, and don't expect much else, and you'll be on target.
Little bit scary at first when lightning struck but we went anyway we had a good time but the food up there and the attractions are very expensive be prepared you need at least $500 if you have a couple kids
Crazy Christmas crowds and overall bad management. If they can t handle the large capacity without 4 hours waiting to ski then they need to limit capacity. Poor covid regulations, half the people not wearing masks and they pack you in lines and the tram. No one enforces masks or six foot distance. No refunds for anything whatsoever. One hour waiting to get on the tram. Two hours waiting to get the ski pass and equipment pass. One hour waiting to get the actual equipment. And finally one hour waiting to leave on the tram. 5 hours of waiting in lines, not worth the money for this experience. Would rather go to Disney and wait in line there than spend $500 in a day here again. Take your own car up. Don t rent their equipment-get your own or rent somewhere else to prevent the hassle at ober. Will go somewhere else to ski next time. Mountain coaster was fun but only lasted about 2m of actually going through the mountain! Half the ride was going up (2m also). Food court is a snack bar, was okay medium priced but had to wait an hour there as well. Very poorly built rails in line made from cheap plastic tubing breaking apart. Ski lockers were reasonable (small $1 one use and large $10). Skiing slopes were nice but not for the price. They need to be refunding MANY unhappy customers. They really capitalize on holidays, almost double the prices. Go in the off season! We will not be back in high season or maybe not at all.
So little backstory first I had cancer two years ago and since then I ve been in two major car accidents and have high anxiety. I was about to get on the Mountain Coaster when my anxiety started up and the two workers at the ride were super nice about it talked me through and got me prepared to go up. I was halfway through the ride when a major panic attack happened it was to the point where I had to stop the ride and the only employee up there calmed me down told me I could do it and was extremely polite. This was the greatest customer service ever. These employees deserve a raise.
I had a great time skiing with my family! Just loved it!
Wonderful time! So much to do; we didn't even get to everything
Breathtaking view. Only $7 to get to the top. Most bang for your buck in the area.
The snow tubing was great really fun to do and there's other things to do I just didn't like the mini zoo they have it was the saddest bears I've seen.
Highly recommend this place. Must get there 1-2 hrs before your time to catch the coaster to go up. Go earlier up to Ober to enjoy everything they have. We did the tubing and it was fun.
Expensive for the whole family.....but great views from the tram
The lines to get up and to get back we're astronomically long.
Much worse than last time. Other than the chair lift, and the two slides, everything else outside was either closed or gone. They didn't post any signs or notifications of this anywhere around the ticket counter which is the first place you go to upon entering. People were actually giving us tickets that cost $3.50 each because there was nothing to use them on. Three of the four coin operated rides were out of order but there were no signs telling me this, I found out when the machines took my money. Even the children's play area and kids rides were locked down and not operating. That place was only interested in taking our money. Don't go. Just.......don't.
Great experience. Fun trip seeing the bears and other animals was amazing
Very hard to enjoy woodsy scenery that I remember when I was on the scene and could lift up to the highest point. When I looked down all I could see and hear was a construction zone and construction equipment.... disappointing
This little amusement park, made it worth the ride up. We have 2 little girls under 5, and this was the highlight of our trip.
Whether you drive to Ober Gatlinburg or take the Tram Ride, The view is Amazing going up the mountain! Once your up there, you will see kiddie rides, a maze, mountain coaster, alpine slide, ice skating, bumper boats & even live bears!! The Best part is the Scenic Chair lift! At the top of the chair lift, there is a live band playing wonderful music. Its a Must do if you go to Ober Gatlinburg!! Great place to take kids 12 & under!!
Beautiful views while in the gondola, but no views to be had once you get up there. Unless of course you want to pay an additional $7 for a ski lift to a higher level. Mall is outdated with a few decent stores. Nice area to enjoy a drink or a snack.
Good place to visit Gatlinburg. There are also other attractions nearby like Anakeesta. Good place to relax and enjoy indoor activities if you dont want to visit the Smoky Mountains National Park.
Had a blast, kids loved ice skating and all the slides. Awesome view from tram and chair lifts.
My family and I were searching for outside activities filled with great memories for school fall break and Over definitely provided. I plan to return to Ober for the activities available during different seasons, Oktoberfest was a great experience at Ober
Amazing views on the way to the top of the mountain
Everything we tried to do was closed.... Enjoyed amazing Mexican food! Hopeful next time we hope everything is open...
Do NOT ride their alpine coaster! It slammed to a halt VIOLENTLY 3 times! I had bruises across my hips, I thought I was going to pee blood that night. No reason for this, I was nowhere near any other rider. I complained loudly to the guy at the end of the ride, he didn't seem to care. I will NEVER go again, and you should not either.
I wouldn't bring my dog here! Out dated I'd be afraid to eat anything from here. Nasty Nasty place.
Absolutely beautiful breathtaking views. A great gift from the man upstairs.
I was a little concerned about the bad comments about attention and lines. But I think dates like December 31 must be very busy and therefore complicated days. I went on Thursday the 7th and arrived first in line so I had to wait 2 hours for them to open hahaha but it was a spectacular day. There was no line at all (just for skiar) we didn't see bears even though they warned us that they were hibernating, the bumper cars were great fun, the skating too although the skates obviously smelled a bit bad, the coaster great fun and the tubing was the best. I found it very neat and everyone's attention was very friendly
The ride up and down the mountain is beautiful. Once your up there nothing worth seeing. Cable car engineers had a great since of humor.
Great but it's not as much to do unless you go during the winter when they have the ski part open..great view up there.
Kids enjoyed the trip staff kind of seemed irritated with their job
Nice experience but not enough to do with my issues health problems.
We love Ober! The Tram is always a favorite! My son also loved the ice bumper cars!
The tram was the highlight. Fairly dated and not worth staying long. Wouldn't come back.
Good experience, specially the gondola ride and scenic chair car. The lines were smaller than the one chair car in downtown.
