Stay every year around the Christmas holiday and always a wonderful experience. The location and views are among the best in NYC. Close to major attractions and the craziness that is Times Square. Staff are helpful and very good.

Nice clean hotel. Beer in the bar was decent but $8 for a glass of beer is way more than i normally pay in Ireland plus you jave to tip. Had breakfast one morning for 3 people and it cost about $96. A bit much since we didnt eat much.
Very good hotel. Centrally located. From Central Park to the Empire State Building, everything is within walking distance. Metro stations of various lines very close. Large, clean room with a great view. Windows not too well insulated (noise from the cooling system in the neighboring building).
The optimal location and value for money. Modern, beautiful interiors. Breakfast is poor, there is no way to order scrambled eggs / omelet. The waiters at breakfast are not very friendly. Overall very pleased with the choice.
Everything neat and tidy. Nice, spacious room for New York. Breakfast too expensive for what they offer, but dinner good. Nice attention to the room because we had indicated that we were on our honeymoon. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Super experience.
Very nice location, the view on time square is just awsome, lots of restaurants nearby, and stores for shopping. Very nice and friendly staff. Always ready to help. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed. Nice bar. Avoid breakfast between 7 and 8.30am. The lineup is just huge. Very happy. I recommend
Great location, clean rooms, great view from the terrace. However, we always had to wait for the lift (lift reception and elevator into the room). Was probably high season ...
Excellent location to visit. Very clean hotel, an amazing terrace that overlooks Time Square. Very good also for food and service .. on the other hand no valet for parking. I found one still close! (guarded parking)
Awesome hotel, do not have much to compare it to but the size seemed large for right on times square. You could see the ball from our room. We stayed around the 12th of December. From the hotel we were within walking distance to central park and all the major sightseeing landmarks in nyc. The staff was very helpfull and friendly
Nice hotel, clean rooms and good views. Dont give them your card though as they add random charges. Charged my card $80 when I first arrived even though the room was prepaid and then a few days later charged my card another $25. Reception said these were holding charges and would be removed but the payments have now been taken and i have not been reimbursed. I also got charged an additional $99 a couple of days after check out for resident fees, so I know the previous charges were not for this. I have emailed the hotel to ask for a breakdown of card charges and have yet to have any response.
Perfect geographical location, perfect breakfast. The room is not equipped for 4 people. The beds are small (1m40). Could not get information about the room equipment for 4 people when booking.
Ideal geographical location (stay a week for two) Our room on the 21st floor overlooking Times Square was magical! Restaurant terrace with a beautiful view as well. The room was ok but it lacks light! Impossible to see yourself up close in a mirror. Ditto in the bathroom. We had to ask for hangers, 3 unfortunate people were running after each other. Ditto for slippers, there weren't any. The chambermaids are responsive. I found the quality of the breakfast to be very average, not a lot of choice and poorly cooked for high prices! In short, yes for the location and the view if you overlook Times Square. The rest, very average.
Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The lift from ground to lobby was a bit annoying at times as was the crowded breakfasts. Staff were proficient rather than friendly and as an Accor member, I received no recognition. As I was staying for business the location and amenities were good, however when I return for leisure I'd look for something a little more customer focused for my stay.
The hotel is in a great location and has fantastic views of Times Square. The staff is friendly and professional. Meals and drinks are priced for tourists, so don't be shocked by the prices or plan to eat and socialize somewhere else! There are nearby alternatives that are far more reasonable.
Room was clean but too noisy and too small, I could hear noisy sound all night, sometimes I couldn't fall asleep. Bathroom was clean but too small Breakfast was not so good.
Ankara party June 11th. Fantastic setting for a turn up event. Great view of time Square, good service on drinks, and swift sign in to the event. I had entered for free on an early condition. Staff was lovely.
It is good because of the relatively new hotel. Moreover, it is clean and has many amenities. There were no Japanese staff in the hotel, but it seems to be available by phone when you need a Japanese staff.
Glasses were plastic which felt cheap. Mixed drinks weren't bad but weren't anything special either. Beer selection was good. Service was slow but friendly. I would go back for the view, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
Not too much good to say about this hotel and a feeling of disappointment overall with my stay. The only silver lining that I could find with this hotel is that the location, proximity to Times Square, is very good. In addition, there is a nice lounge with direct views of Times Square if that is of an interest to you.
However, for a four star hotel, you definitely expect more than what you get. The interior of the rooms is dated and could use a set of fresh lights to accommodate the dimness. WiFi access continually didn't work and was difficult to connect to. Housekeeping seemed scarce and left dirty towels around the room. But really, what needs the most work is the bathroom itself. The bathtub is gross - like needs to be completely replaced gross. Discoloration and tiny, felt disgusting even stepping into it. Few toiletries provided, no conditioner for use in the shower.
Honestly, would not recommend unless you're really looking for a Time Square view from a lounge. Much better hotels in New York.
- EDIT TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW
I never, never, never make edits to my reviews. I always stand 100% behind the original review and stand behind the postings. But this review did irk me slightly. Full transparency, the hotel has gone out of their way to accommodate the room in a more appropriate manner and has provided me with the items I did complain about, in addition to throwing in bottles of water, an apology note, and macaroons. But that s not why I m updating the review, honestly I feel that I ve become accustomed to complaining behind a screen and not simply going to the lobby of a hotel, or a manager at a restaurant, or an owner of a service business. Had I simply gone to the front desk I believe the issues I listed could have been accommodated and that s on me for not taking that step. Had the hotel not accommodated after a complaint, then it would be more prudent to leave the original review. For that reason and that reason alone I m making this edit. Id actually like to extend my apologies to the hotel for not taking the initial step in real life and will certainly be more careful moving forward. Kudos to management for being proactive once the review was in place and thank you for that.
Novotel Tines Square is a great place to stay. This time I didnt personally stay here, a friend of mine did and it was amazing. We both love the location, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was great
SUPER Hotel very very well located, We did everything on foot A superb rooftop Breakfasts are complete and perfect Beautiful Very Clean Room with a Fairytale View of Times Square It just lacks a small kettle. The BIG less, which is important, the reception staff, and especially at breakfast, is neither pleasant nor friendly nor smiling! ... Not up to this beautiful establishment. A perfect stay.
Room on the 32nd floor overlooking the rooftops, quiet despite the bustle of the city. The view of Time Square is breathtaking at the bar terrace. The waiter who accompanied us all week was very friendly and quickly remembered our little habits. A very pleasant stay.
Amazing view of times square! You wont be kept up at night even in the heart of the city that never sleeps. You are well within walking distance of many major tourist attractions. The hotel had activities going on at the bar many nights. The breakfast was not included but offered a higher quality than your average hotel. I recommend you pay the extra for the view.
Excellent hotel overlooking Times Square with a terrace with outstanding views. The breakfast very nice and well supplied also with a view also exceptional . You are close to Broadway, shopping and transportation (Metro & bus). A very nice hotel to visit New York.
Beautiful location for this hotel of high standing while remaining in simplicity. Home on top and very nice staff and listening. It was my 2nd experience ... and certainly not the last. Thanks to all the staff.
Corporate hotel chain located ideally for Broadway and the sights of New York. Nice big comfortable rooms. Good bar with a range of draught beers. Mixture of American corporate guests, American tourists and international visitors.
Incredible view of times square, friendly and helpful staff probably the best location for getting to see all New Yorks attractions loved it will return asap
Great hotel, location excellent, however issues with the room like the phone not working. Views from restaurant are brilliant. Times Square a short walk away. Visited early 2020.
