Nordstrom, Durham NC Review

The quality of customer service at Nordstrom is amazing. This store stands behind its products and generously allows returns if needed. Some of the skin care products I had purchased did not perform as hoped . Katie not only followed up with me months later to inquire how things were going, she encouraged me to return the unused portion of the products I had stopped using for a full refund! Wow. That level of customer service will keep me shopping at this big store which feels more like a personal boutique.

Used to love their shrimp pasta dish at the cafe upstairs but it was served barely warm the last 2 occasions we ate there.

I cannot say enough nice things about Nordstrom. Every time that I have made a purchase, I receive a hand-written "thank you" note from the sales associate. From time to time, I will receive a follow-up phone call to ensure my satisfaction or notification of an upcoming sale. When I pay for my items, they always use my name. As far as the quality of merchandise, it is top-notch in every department. I love the selection of perfume and cosmetics. Don't even get me started on the shoe department. The shoe department is full of beautifully crafted shoes from casual to elegant. My husband even loves Nordstrom, too.

Hardly anything in the store... went to find jeans, casual tops and sandals, and left empty handed. If you are considering going, I would wait a few weeks or months.

The customer service has really gone down hill here recently.

Norstrom has long been known for their customer service, and well, they live up to their name. I'd been struggling to find shoes that fit, as I have a short but wide foot. Monica was SO nice, and showed me lots of styles. She was patient, friendly, and extremely helpful. She even stretched my shoe for me before I bought it! I left with 3 pairs!

I actually came into this store this afternoon to purchase somethings for my husband. I was never asked if I needed any help or assistance. I was in the store for over 45 minutes. They had multiple employees there, but no one asked if I needed help or anything. People were standing around using their cell phones and acted if my daughter and I were invisible. I then proceeded to walk up to a older gentlemen at a check out counter and says excuse me is there anyone here that can help me he then says umm I just finished with this customer what do you want . At that point I did make it clear on how long I was in the store and no one has helped me. He then says well, I can page the manager for you and I said that will be fine. It took the manager another 10 mintues just to speak to me. Finally, when the manager walks up to address my concerns he then says that he apologizes for this issue and that he will definitely bring this up in the next employee meeting on how to improve the customer service here.

The one thing that saddens me is that my family and I shop at Nordstrom s across the county and this location is the WORST by far. I m sure race did play a factor in the horrible experience and if you don t look like the stereotype that would shop in Nordstrom s they will not help you!!!!!! From Ladies shoes, men department, and children section. My family and I will NEVER STEP MY FOOT IN NORDSTROMS @DURHAM NORTH CAROLINA, LOCATION EVER AGAIN IN LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super sweet employees who were so helpful for me and my boyfriend while we shopped.

If you are looking for fragrances this is the place to go. You can get samples and take them home with you to try on for a few weeks. If you ask the employees they should also be able to provide you with some premade samples.

Nordstrom is one of the great stores in an otherwise overrated and in general not very appealing mall. They know their products and they know customer service!

Some higher end brands, but poor use of space. Brand sections are undefined with few models or displays to give you ideas. This is especially so in the men's section.

Great Store... IF you wanna spend $100.oo+ for Sandals... Great Staff but "to Rich for my Wallet"... :-)

Nordstrom has always been a great place to shop. It's the whole experience that makes it fun, especially now that Cafe Bistro is open again. I was told that the remodel will be going on for at least a few more months but the employees are very good about helping me find what I'm looking for. This is the friendliest store I've been to, I highly recommend it to anyone!!
On a side note, there are some very affordable options here but you still get the same great quality, so I would highly recommend coming in at least once to see the store for yourself. I'm a customer for life!

Very disappointing MAC station and they used to be my go to place for product.

Very high end selection of clothing. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Clerks are very food though and the merchandise is all temprinf.

Always amazing service, but I can't shop here anymore when I see made in Vietnam tags on a $200 dress

Nordstrom @ The Streets at Southpoint is one of the few retailers who still get it right by consistently wowing their customers. I was looking for a specific conditioner when I met Saher at the Sisley counter. Long story short, Saher is amazing. She showed and explained the benefits of Sisley products. I ended up leaving the store with a Sisley eye cream and mascara, as well as a bunch of samples that Saher grouped together for me to show what to use for day and night. Saher is another reason why I love Nordstrom so much!!

I brought a lot of stuff from there, and this place is awesome than any places. The staff is AWESOME!!! I hardly disappointed this store ;however, I would give 4 stars because the only problem is the prices are extremely expensive. So make sure you save your money until you can afford it.

This store smelled bad. Selection was adequate, I suppose...the smell was hard to get past.

Customer service is good, prices are way too high. Dafuq pays 180.00 for department store ripped jeans.

I called ahead to say what I was looking for, and Elena and Jack had a dressing room waiting for me, with the items I needed ready for me to try on. I got a personal shopping experience without paying for a stylist. They made it fun, and I bought several lovely pieces. Terrific customer experience!

Finally found my outfit here. Service was superior.

Ashley Webber in the Nordstrom dress section at the Southpoint location had the best customer service over the phone. I cannot express how I appreciated her help. I have ordered multiple dresses to be delivered at this store and she provided all that help as we both waited patiently. Thank you so much!

Kristen in the women s department had the best customer service today while I was trying to find a classic pair of jeans! In addition to walking me around to find the jeans, she checked on me in the fitting room & even had alteration come up to fit the jeans properly! Alterations took 1 hour & did not cost extra on my full ticket item. What a wonderful experience!

I feel they could do so much better in the men's fragrance department.

HORRIBLE customer service at the MAC counter in Nordstrom. 1. They did not greet me. Took over 5 minutes after standing there for someone to even acknowledge me. I was then placed for an appointment and when I showed up for it they were talking me out of it because of how busy but there was only one other person there. Shew! So swamped. You try my job..... Keep in mind, I had nowhere to be and was ready spend money on each product used. So in the end I guess it's your loss - could have had a great sale.

I felt so great about shopping here the other day I figured I would write a review about my most recent experience. I am transgender and have started transitioning earlier this month, however, back in August I had bought an entire fall wardrobe full of dresses and accessories that I had no desire to wear at all. The customer service here can not be beat. They let me bring them all back in, no questions asked, and let me exchange them. The sales people in the men's department were all so nice and welcoming and they made a shopping experience that could have been stressful into something fun and exciting for me. Needless to say this is where I will be doing a vast majority of my shopping from now on thanks to those guys.

I visited the Bistro and was disappointed in my meal there for the first time in 10 years. The Cilantro Shrimp salad was not up to par and the once "to die for" bread pudding was horrible. It had strawberries instead of the raspberries, the white chocolate wasn't appealing and it was so hard on the bottom, couldn't get my fork through it. Total waste of money!

I really enjoyed the service I received from the MAC consultant!! She helped me pic a really cool shade of lipstick!! I cannot remember her name..

Seems to be undergoing some renovations at the moment... a bit empty and grim. Staff friendly enough, but not as attentive as I'd expect given the prices.

Wonderful curbside pickup service. Came right out once I checked in, placed my purchase in my trunk, and even gave me a free coffee gift. Even before pandemic days I preferred shopping online, but whenever I did shop in-store, the employees are top-notch (especially Janelle in beauty!)
