Didn't try the atmospheric restaurant and bar. The sensory marketing of the hotel is on point. Perfume is used throughout different parts of thr hotel. The theme of the hotel and its suites are bluish white. Very romantic for couples. There are surprises within the mini bar. One thing I'm curious is whether people outside can observe the restroom through the glass of the hotel as it seems to be transparent from inside. Convenient location, close to subway. Overall a satisfying experience.
The hotel rooms are super cute but be careful when you eat here because they won't split your checks if you have a big party. Nice but not the.most accommodating hotel for what we are spending to stay here.
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at in New York City. My girlfriend and I came to spend our 4th of July here and we absolutely loved it. The staff is unparalleled and they make sure whatever you ask is taken care of. For example, there was a fireworks show on the rooftop at the hotel. Tickets were sold out and we asked was there anything we could do to get tickets? The waitress at the restaurant comes over to us with the Manager and gives us two tickets to the firework show. The waitress name was Marcella and she deserves a promotion for outstanding service. My girlfriend and I have decided to make staying at this hotel a tradition every 4th of July. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves outstanding service and great views of NYC.
Great bar to hang out. Very cute and cozy boutique hotel. Great decor. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Will recommend you to stay here. I will be coming back with my husband and fur baby! They also have a great looking restaurant, we didn't have a chance to eat there but it looked very cute.
Worst hotel for the money. Go somewhere else. My room had no complimentary water and the toilet seat was dirty. The pictures did not look exactly like the room. The gym is small and dark. The balcony was off limits. Worst hotel and more expensive than necessary. Also the shower handle in the Premium Queens Room was broken and easily came off. I then had to put it back on. The sink clogged easily & the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom bit right outside of it. The shower had no closure and water went all over the bathroom floor (floor had no drain and had to be cleaned). The bathroom door is thin and everything can be heard.
I had an absolute WONDERFUL time!!! Chris (the concierge) helped me start my day in the most lovely/quaint cafes in the area. The hotel was as beautiful as the pictures you see on the website.
The hostess working 9/9/17 at 2:00pm was extremely rude. When ask for a table for 2. She responded "no". I asked her if we could put our name down she said "no" without explanation. Just "no" Not engaging, not willing to communicate. Complete ruined the vibe of the place.
Stylish hotel in the middle of Soho. Rooms are nicely done but small - ask for an upper floor and there are some great views looking uptown. Staff was pleasant in all interactions and the downstairs bar is great. The hotel runs on the more expensive side but the location and vibe are worth it IMO.
But the restaurant downstairs was bad! As well all the hotel look like fancy but actually Low quality finishing, from the butter at the restaurant to the painting of the hotel. shower was horrible!!!! I don t think it worth the price.
Look wow but is below average from my point of view.
The food and wait staff were excellent. The penthouse was beautiful on our clear night and the string lights were just bright enough to set the mood for our event. I would not hesitate to go again if I could.
The interior is like between a cruise ship and a casino. The rooms are small and well appointed the views are great, location is not bad at all. Staff seemed pretty cool. Wi-Fi and the rest worked as expected, food in the hotel was pretty good but not special.
Excellent room with Balcony. Am not much of a Complainer lol. I be back on August can't wait. Book same room. I Highly recommend Deluxe Room with balcony
Wouldn t suggest this hotel to anyone. It s deceiving by its trendy nice lobby and restaurant. The upstairs hallways and rooms are horrid. The hallway looks like Dracula s mansion. The locks to the room don t work, we got our key replaced 3 times and it still wouldn t work. Took 30 minutes to get into our room and someone had to come let us in. Room is so tiny there is nowhere to store luggage. Also the bathroom is basically a part of the room. And not to mention there were only 2 pillows on the bed and nowhere to get water at night. There are so many more hotels in Manhattan at the exact same price 10x the quality.
As i entered i saw big lamp and its very attractive . I had spend the night and its best night .In my room interior was so good and painting are hanged behind the bed .Lighting is just perfect and view from my window was amazing .
You pre-book online (paid in full including taxes) and when you arrive at the hotel they inform you of a $45 USD per night resort fee. This would not have been legal in Europe, but apparently fully acceptable in the US.
Included in the resort fee is WiFi (which I measured at 3-4mb), access to a small gym, a safe in your room (?) and newspapers in the lobby. This is included in most other hotels for much less than the additional $45 per night.
Location was good, great view from our room. Simple standard on the room. The hotel was OK, but the perceived value was poor when they slapped the unexpected $45 a night resort fee on top.
(Yes, I know they will claim they mentioned this in the fine print, but screw you ; this should be in the listed price).
Don't stay here. I don't know why it's a so called 5 star hotel. We had really bad experience: first of all the room is extremely small, two lugagges did not fit anywhere with such a tiny bathroom (with no ventilation), the room at 5:30 am is filled with light since it comes through the bathroom door, and the staff was not very helpful in resolving some stuff since they lost some arrived packages for one entire day and wanted to make us personally look for them.
Very kind and professional personnel. The room is a nice modern styled one, with a king size bed. The restroom is a little too small. Great view over Soho toproofs.
Stayed a few nights here. Pretty small room but that's par for the course in this city, and it was very nicely appointed. Great view! Excellent service. I brought my cat and they were very accommodating. Will stay again.
This place is filled with hidden fees. They don t care if you do or don t stay in the room, also. They ll charge you via Expedia (I chose it unknowingly). When you get there, they ask to obtain a card on file when you ve already paid for the room . These people got a good deal w/ their marketing or advertising team and will gladly charge you more than what the third party company told you upfront. The only good thing about the hotel is it s interior and exterior design. If you really want to stay here, my suggestion would be to book within the hotel s admin/concierge team.
Rooms a lil small but close to lil Italy and Chinatown and other great restaurants great stores all around , close to nike soho and 21 mercer Street another pretty cool nike store
Nice hotel and got a good rate - despite stylishness seemed to have quite a few business travelers. Room was comfortable, bathroom small but adequate. Everything was clean. Room was brightvat night but quiet (bring eye mask). Restaurant adequate if expensive for breakfast, good options nearby for dinner.
We had a room on the 23rd floor and a corner room. Great view and very courteous staff. Room was cozy and love that we could open windows. Ate lunch there and it wasn't bad but don't see us going back. Great location and I wish I could pack the shower and take home with me.
Wish I could give this place negative stars...hotel itself was decent, but the staff are incompetent and uneducated. A/C didn't work in the room (82 degrees inside while it was 70 degrees outside), the shower was broken and then I was overcharged $100 on my bill with no reasoning. After disputing the payment with my cc company and not letting these sorry crooks get a penny, I will leave a horrible review on every site, including BBB, until they get new management and the POS night manager dies or gets fired.
What s worse than staying at what you thought was a nice highly recommended hotel to find that it s infested with bed bugs and the staff turning their heads away when approached with the problem? They are instead overcharging the credit card on file without asking permission for no apparent reason. This is what happened to my friends who recently stayed there. All of their clothes and furniture are ruined. One of them has a horrible red rash on the top of her head and all of them have multiple bites across their bodies due to the bed bugs. The staff refuses to acknowledge them for their troubles. I am thoroughly disgusted with what my friends have experienced so far with the rudeness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. Do not book your stay there unless you wish to experience the same itchy red bites and have your credit card illegally charged without your permission
Terrible. My sister and her friends stayed here last weekend and had a bad experience with bed bugs. My younger sister had a rash all over her head and it was burning and itching. The hotel management won t even awknowledge this issue. Reporting this hotel to the bed bug registry. Luckily my sister got a note stating her bites were from bed bugs! This hotel is shady and would try to lie!!!!!!!!
The hostess discriminates people. We tried to have lunch (may 11th, around 1pm) and, even when there where many tables free, she told us there was no availability. She gave a table to several couples after us (without a reservation). So, go to this restaurant if you are pro discrimination. It s a shame!
This was such a great place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and the location was convenient to many places we wanted to visit. We had an issue with our bill which the staff fixed immediately. Love the entrance to the hotel. Only suggestion, maybe have a sign on the ground floor so people know where the lobby is located. At 1am, it was hard to find with nobody around.
Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room is a decent size for NYC, nice quiet neighborhood central to everything in Soho. Definitely recommend!
My stay at the Nomo Soho was quite Unforgettable. I do not mean this in a positive way. I booked a suite for the evening and when I arrived they offered to upgrade me for $250. They said it was the largest nicest room in the hotel so I agreed. When I arrived in the room I was surprised that the room wasn't a bit larger. But the View From the Terrace was so beautiful that I was willing to overlook this until I tried to actually open the door to the Terrace. The door did not work and the handle kept going in circles. I let the front desk know and they offered to put me in the suite next door which also had access to the Terrace. I went in this Suite only to find out that the door and that one did not work as well. I've been downgraded back to my original purchase. Then I proceeded to leave the hotel and have dinner at a restaurant that was actually very close. I rather enjoyed the food at this spot and ended up bringing the leftovers home only to find out that the hotel could not supply me with utensils. They claimed that the restaurant locks everything up and I couldn't have anything to eat with. The bed was not the best I've had but was decently comfortable. The location of this hotel is probably its best feature. I can say with confidence that I will probably never stay here again.
The worst experience. Try calling the hotel (go on, try!) and I assure you no one will ever pickup. Oh you need billing help? Press option 6 for Acct. and no one will answer because the mailbox is full. Something isn't right about this place. I wouldn't trust any hotel in the area that doesn't take care of customer service before and after a stay. Better off trying a brand name hotel that will inherently come with accountability as opposed to these one off hotels that are fly by night. I am still waiting for billing help as I was overcharged and no one will even return a call or email. Just odd, frustrating and unprofessional to say the least!
Hotel location is good. The front of hotel is pretty. Customer service and staff are awful. I have never stayed in a hotel where you aren t greeted by anyone and can t get anyone to help with anything. They advertised free breakfast along with other promotions but when you check in, they state it s not included. After going back and forth with reservations and the front desk people; they made a note to include the promotions and then when I checked out- charges were on the bill! They gave me the manager email to contact but they never even responded. And four emails to reservations were never responded to. Terrible service! Go to the Knickerbocker!
Awesome hotel, lots of character & pretty spacious! The staff is superb & the amenities as well. Morning coffee & wine happy hour are a huge bonus! Great location & food as well. Love the ambience of NOMO SOHO!
Pardon if my review is a bit stinky. I couldn t get a hold of room service to get a toothbrush nor water last night/this morning . I requested the phone be fixed in the evening before going to bed...and to no surprise nothing was done. I was also very disappointed with room service as they did not know what decaf tea meant, they charged me for eggs... I did not receive it, and I also didn t receive the lemons I requested. Maybe they knew my phone wasn t working and I d be too lazy after travels to go all the way down to complain. Excellent job to their marketing team for creating an excellent facade for the hotel. I will say they don t get one star because the food was very good and I liked the nomo restaurant and location. I paid 400$ for this one night and it s a shame because I usually stay at HOTEL ON THE RIVIGTON and thought I d try NOMO but definitely will not be doing that again. The gentleman with the black Gucci glasses working a 8:30pm shift on 02/28 and the blonde women working at 10:30am on 03/01 definitely disappointed and don t understand what the hospitality industry entails. Such a shame. A lot of potential. I ll be attaching photos of my room on my hotel review page shortly alongside some videos of things not working. Actually I decided to give you guys 1 star because I m disappointed that I m in the lobby waiting for a toothbrush for about 15 minutes.... oh boy. At least I had time to write this review while waiting!
The Worst hotel ever. What a nightmare this place was. First, as I arrive, there is no doormen in sight to help. I had to tell one of the staff members to please call a bellhop, so they can help me with these bags. Took around 16 minutes for a gentleman to arrive with the cart. Once I checked in and arrived at my room I was't able to open the door with my card key for some reason. Therefore, i went down to front desk and asked if it was the right one. She rolled her eyes and replied "yes" and gave me two more which didn't work either. Went back down and told her the situation. She told me to please wait as she called an engineer to resolve the issue. After 22 minutes of waiting yes 22 minutes we went back up and apparently the battery was low. He finishes recharging the battery, and i finally walk into the room and smell cigarettes. There were ashes on the floor, bed was't made , shower faucet wasn't functioning. I call front desk to speak to a manager and got hung up. They later called and apologized saying they were "disconnected". Eventually, i was moved to another room next to where they had a dog staying in which i am sure was done on purpose. I fortunately had my earplugs to drown out the barkings at night. Oh and almost forgot to say i was "Accidentally" charged twice for the room that day. Please take my advice and DO NOT GO HERE ! This place is terribly managed and does not care about its guests.
I have stayed here before and had a great experience.
Wow have things changed!
Staff was not friendly, there was drunk (amongst other things) kids hanging around all day having arguments and punching the statues outside, couldn t even stand up straight. Yelling at everyone on the sidewalk and asking everyone and their mothers for cigarettes. No one kicked them off the property. Low and behold one of the guys pulls his genitals out and pees on the patio right in front of the restaurant door. I called for the hosts to come outside and they looked at me, looked at their coworkers, looked back at me with dirty looks and gave hand gestures saying no and just kept staring at me. I walked up to them to explain someone was urinating all over their floor and suddenly their attitudes changed -go figure- and they rushed out saying the same guy had been inappropriate all day. Gee then maybe kick him out?? He and some other people I ve seen sitting out here while I worked on the patio all day really make the hotel look bad. Some guy (very presumably on drugs) was out here for 5 hours nodding in and out of sleep and could also hardly walk.
I won t be coming back here, for the amount you pay I expect something much more tasteful and relaxing- not to be treated rudely and see someone s genitals as they urinate in front of an entire restaurant of people. I recommend implementing new rules about who can hangout in front of this hotel.
Rooms are small (but par for the course in NYC). It's in a great location in Soho - really convenient if you plan to spend most of your time in downtown Manhattan. Within walking distance of great cafes and bars so I wouldn't bother with the hotel restaurant which is expensive. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning too.
This location is trendy and cool and under other circumstances I would rate 5 stars. My first experience wasn't so great. My reservation was lost and resulted in my bill being more expensive because it appeared that I didn't have a reservation. However, I presented a printed copy of my confirmation along with a reservation # to the hotel representative, but it was not taken into consoderation. I would have appreciated my stay and the hotel more if the original price of my stay was honored. Since I'm not sure who's most responsible - travel agency or hotel - I am still giving my experience with NOMO another try.
Great location, close to shopping, bars and restaurants. The in house restaurant and bar is fantastic and stunning. The color scheme in the rooms is a bright blue and white that is both beautiful and relaxing. Room was chic , great view and very comfortable. Loved this place
The worst hotel. The staff is very rude and do not accommodate you. They are very suspect. The hotel rooms are infested with bed bugs. You WILL go home with a suitcase full of bed bugs, bites all over your body and a wasted vacation if you stay at this hotel.
Still my favorite hotel in SoHo. Trendy enough but suitable for business trips. Like the fact the restaurant is good in case I don't have the time or energy to go elsewhere.
My wife and I walked into the restaurant without a reservation this evening and was told seating was full for the night. There were obvious tables available but maybe they were reserved. Ok, that's fine. We walked away and I was thinking whether we didn't get a table because we were dressed too casually or were we refused a table because of we are minorities. We recollected that there were people in jeans and t-shirt. Hmmm... Then I went to their website to see if there was availability. OpenTable.com had immediate availability all through the evening. So... Either OpenTable.com is incorrect (which has never occurred) or I was racially profiled. It's unbelievable that this is happening in NYC in 2020.
Had such a great time at this place. The room has a fairly decent space. The beddings are all white and plush-which i love! Interior design of the room is very modern and immaculate. The atrium is my favorite area of this hotel. Also the food is exquisite! I had tuna tartare for appetizers and it was out of this world! It is well handcrafted and worth having again and again. The bartender was engaging and made the Long Island ice tea perfect! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy NomoSoho of Manhattan! Safe travels everyone and be safe
Fabulous Roof Top for any event .My friend did his Web Launch and the food and drinks flooded through out the evening .plus a view that no matter where you were pricless.
Terrible to say the least me and my wife we're about to travel to New York and booked this hotel when we made it 49 miles and had car trouble ended up being something major when we call to cancel to let them know we would not be making it we got not one person tried every extension so choose wisely if your going to book with this hotel been trying to call them for 3 days now not one person has kicked up my call
Used the valet during a 3 day visit. I keep cash in the vehicle in my closed center console, hidden, for emergencies (tolls, parking, etc). After the valet returned the car, I was missing the $280 in cash along with an irreplaceable sentimental money clip. When I reported it to hotel management I was told they'd look into it. It's been 6 months, a follow up would have been nice but I haven't received a phone call or email from the hotel. If you're going to go out of your way to literally get robbed, I suggest a better hotel to do so. Will not stay there again. How a property handles thefts or problems that occur with their clientele speaks volumes about how they operate as a whole.
And the best Hotel Reward goes to ... Nomo Soho !!!!!! It was a love at first sight , From the first moment I arrived to the day I left . The entrance is so adorable , I felt like a princess in a magical garden stepping into my kingdom . The smell in the lobby was extraordinary ! I wanted to sit there and stay for the all day . The rooms are fabalous , stylish and designed tastefully . The view is one of a kind and the vibes were so good . Breakfast was yummie , i never tasted pancakes until I tried their Ricota pancakes - it's a must ! The staff are so nice too , very polite and always smile . The resturant - Nomo Soho kitchen is designed so good that I couldn't stop taking pictures lol . Anthony the manager was so nice ans helpful ! I didn't want to leave !!!! This hotel is one of the best hotels in NYC and this is my hotel to go if I want to spoil myself . Super Highly recommended !!!
I had great experience . I enjoyed my self . Staff were very helpful . I loved the interior its was so attractive. I loved the room interior its was so attractive and beautiful .
One of the best places for brunch in New York City, the food is fresh and well prepared, a bit overpriced but nothing exaggerated if you consider the city you're in. If you want an advise take the classic egg Benedict and you won't regret it! The atmosphere is lovely and the toilets are clean, we'll come back!
Was staying in the hotel between septembre 22-28. (under the name Tal Teperberg)
The location was great; Sadly, it was the only good thing in our experience.
The room was dirty, very poorly decorated Less than minimum facilites. -No coffee in the room -We had to pay ten dollars for a bottle of water. -The gym was very poor
On the last day, they charged us 30$ extra per day, when we asked what was the pay for, we were told that we pay for wifi, news paper and gym room.
A total payment of 180usd for nothing.
In 2018 we pay 500 usd per night and in addition need to add 180 for wifi?
I have a travel agency, and I will not recommend my clients such a hotel.
Food was good but expect very small portion. The waitress is very nice. It was a Friday night pretty quiet .. we asked for bread and napkin to the busboy and it never came. I think it s more a bar/hotel restaurant than anything else . I won t recommend it for real dinner experience .
What a lovely restaurant very high class and affordable. If you are looking for fancy place with great food and in budget and inventive drinks than look no further.
Booked the hotel online. During checkout, the hotel tacked on an additional $40 "amenity" charge for nothing. I hate hidden fees. The hotel was great otherwise.
