Once upon a time, I hated taking my car to dealers...

Once upon a time, I hated taking my car to dealership service departments because the folks were not kind and I felt like I was imposing on their time. But, every time I've gone to the service department at AutoNation Hyundai Tempe (formerly Tempe Hyundai), I've felt like a treasured guest.

The service personnel (Amanda in this case) are friendly, efficient, and thorough and the work performed by the techs is outstanding, both in quality and speed. The waiting area is as comfortable as a home with all of the amenities one could hope for, including food, beverages, TV, and wi-fi.

AutoNation Hyundai Tempe has made what was once an onerous chore into a pleasant break from my day.

Kerry Thornton is definitely the man to go to when you're thinking about getting a car at Hyundai tempe auto nation. He made finding a car less stressful! He helped me so much getting information for all the vehicles I was interested in, and I mean ALL of the vehicles I was interested in. He gave me prices and also made sure I stayed within my preferred budget and made sure it had everything I wanted. This was a big deal for me since it was my first really big important purchase and he made me feel comfortable and confident about purchasing a vehicle, like he was there to make sure I got what I wanted and need. He was absolutely great! I would 100% with out a doubt recommended this guy he is a true honest one. Thank you so much Kerry!

Oh and I would like to add., the environment at this dealership is outstanding. Everyone was there to help and everyone puts your needs first. I had my 10month old son and Kerry along with everyone at the dealership were so sweet to my boy and were extremely patient with me. It was amazing. Kerry held my son for me a couple of times and it was adorable! Thanks everyone at AutoNation Hyundai Tempe!

I would love to give ZERO STARS if I could!!! Service from the Service Manager Donna was TERRIBLE! She is rude, and does not care about her customers! I purchased my vehicle from another Autonation with a warranty. Sandy simply told me it was my responsibility to figure out what is covered not theirs, and if I don't like her answer then to take the vehicle to where I purchased it! So they NEVER even touched the car after it sat with them 2x and over 24 hours each time! Thanks for wasting my time, and for the horrible service you gave me and my family! I Will NEVER do any kind of business with them.

They do such an excellent job here. They take care of you and your car thoroughly and the lounge is excellent stocked with coffee, popcorn, comfortable chairs and TV, and Wifi. Truly top notch customer service and they do an excellent job on your car as well.

While driving home in a new car is exciting, for some the process of buying a car can be less than desirable. I have to say, Scott Sirls proved me wrong and my buying experience was one of the best I have ever had! I had given up on searching for Hyundai Veloster when out of the blue Scott called me on a Friday afternoon and let me know they had a car for me at an agreed upon price. Scott knew I had an appointment later that day so I immediately headed to Auto Nation and was driving home in my new car in less than 2hrs!
Great car, great sales experience, the finance manager was awesome and Scott put it all together.

Took my car in to have the timing belt, engine belt and crank seal replaced. Got the car back with problems starting. Checked under the hood and found a engine ground strap left dangling on the engine belt, the power steering fluid reservoir left hanging off the side of the engine and a piece of the fan shroud broken. Very underwhelming response to the issue but after the car was towed back to the dealer i ended up paying to have the starter replaced, just unfortunate timing i guess?. Got the car back with a crack running down the full length of the windshield and a 18x4" scrape from the hood to the fender. Manager literally wouldn't say anything but "are you sure that wasn't there before" and a few shoulder shrugs.

I had a good experience as Carter was my team representative. He was very informative and helpful.
My battery went out on my car. I was told by the gal that answers the phone to call the parts department to make sure the battery for my car was in stock before I came to your shop. I called the parts department and was told the battery was in stock. When I arrived at your facility I was told by Carter that the battery was not in stock and it would be awhile before the battery would get there because it was coming from Gilbert. Because the battery was not in stock I had to wait longer for my service. I was at your shop from 10:00 to 1:30. Carter did come out when I got there that it would be 2 hours to fit me in with the appointments which I understood. The battery not being there cost me another hour and a half.
I had my car towed to your shop and the gentleman that came and got my car was very professional and very kind. Thankfully my car is under warranty for all of this.

AutoNation Hyundai Tempe had very quick and thorough communication about our options and made our budget work with the car we wanted. They went above and beyond to ensure our happiness. It was a very simple process from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them for your car buying/leasing needs.

First of all i want to apologize for taking so lon...

First of all i want to apologize for taking so long to write my review of this dealership, but I think this also works into their favor in a way as well :)

Back at the end of 08/2019 We came in to trade in our tired Chevy Trailblazer for a newer one and I wasn't disappointed. We initially came in to look at a Toyota RAV4 due to the reliability Toyota vehicles typically have. Unfortunately the one we were looking at wasn't quite ready. They did end up showing us a vehicle that was far superior to it in terms of feature for around the same price range which was the 2011 Kia Sorento EX. I was blown away at how loaded this thing was. It was definitely one of the luxury models with leather seating, two sun roofs, Pirelli tires, etc.

The main parts of this transaction that I was particularly blown away with was that they shopped for the lowest possible interest rate and we didn't even have to haggle. I've only bought cars a number of times, but have never had (or expected) to have this kind of experience at a dealership. To add a little more context, our credit wasn't great either. They went above and beyond and I believe without a doubt that they were a much needed answer to our prayers.

Also a good shout out to Fran (Baldy :P ): You are a class act sir. I think if Jeff Goldblum were selling us this car, I think you'd give him a run for his money! Keep doing good things for people. It means a lot to me to know that there are honest people in this world, even if we have to look for them.

Know that you guys have earned our business for life.

Our family has been using this dealership's servic...

Our family has been using this dealership's service department for over 2 years with our two Hyundai's due to the Tempe autonation being the nearest dealer to our home in Casa Grande. After our last 15K service our vehicle started having a bad vibration on the drive back home and we called the service department back. Obviously it started on the ride home (after a tire rotation), so it is more than likely a wheel weight. Neither of the service agents would acknowledge this and they wanted to check the alignment first. After checking the alignment and told that was good we are told it could be 2-3 hours for an oil change and wheel balance. Two to Three hours!? First service says this is because we were late (accident between Casa Grande and Tempe on I-10) then we are told their service department was "working with a skeleton crew" today. I can get an oil change and wheel balance in under 30 minutes in Casa Grande at half a dozen shops. Unfortunately we chose to make an appointment at this dealership again....knowing that also took close to 2 hours the service before. In my opinion... There should NOT be a wait for the dealer to correct what they broke, balance the bad wheel before sending customers away.

My girlfriend and I purchased a 2016 Accent SE in March with Dan S. and were so impressed with how much came standard that we came back in May and purchased a 2016 Sonata SE with Dan L. (believe it or not there is a 3rd Dan who we never met). Both sedans have been nothing short of amazing. I actually traded in my 08 Santa Fe for the Sonata and Hyandai really has improved/listened to consumer feedback over the years. Practical and reliable, we got exactly what we were looking for and saved so much compared to competitors prices without sacrificing safety or quality. Not to mention the 10 year warranty. Thank you Tempe Hyundai !

I was looking for a car to buy and had owned a Hyundai previously. I love my new car and I was very pleased with the assistance I received from John Olsen (my Hyundai car expert) From greeting to farewell he was pleasant, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes you wish you could keep your sales person forever.....service person too. I have always received "the best" service when having my car serviced. I'm sure that will continue. Thank you John for making my car buying a positive experience.

They took me at my scheduled appointment time, the service associates were friendly, service wait area clean/well equipped for little kids/food and beverages provided and even gave my son a hot wheels car... only minor complaint was my car was not washed upon pick up

My experience here was very enjoyable and I left more happy than I could have ever expected. The staff here is no pressure and I have to brag on Francis Calteux, AKA "Baldy". That is his nickname he gives himself. Francis is very easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable about purchasing or leasing a car and offered many different options. He is also very funny and I appreciated that. Also he was very patient and helpful when I was test driving a vehicle. He explained things thoroughly. I was anxious about the process of going to get a car but he made my feel comfortable. He explained the financial options and I felt no pressure and understood easily. He worked with me and I just LOVE my Elantra!

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. My rep was waiting for me,even though I was early. They performed the service, topped off fluids, and checked alignment. This was my last free service. Engine and cabin air filters were also replaced. I could have done those, but I like the way Amanda takes care of my car and me. I will continue to have my service performed there.

I was extremely disappointed with the poor customer service I received back in April 2019. I had a small emergency and called to request the courtesy shuttle so I could retrieve my vehicle. (It was not scheduled to be ready until the late afternoon, so I going to get it and reschedule.) I HAD TO CALL EIGHT TIMES for that to happen!! I understand the "customer service" representative on duty was M. Gill. She kept dropping me into voicemails then refused to answer the phone.

I emailed A. Gutierrez and J. Dixon about my experience, but never received a response. Customer service has really deteriorated.

No one enjoys going to the car dealer for service. AutoNation Hyundai made it as painless as possible. They told me how long the service would take and actually beat their estimate. I will continue to come here for all of my Hyundai service.

Thanks for asking.... I bought a 2014 Lincoln MKZ from you guys in September. Since i have been driving the car only to work. The trunk has stopped opening the dashboard has a short in it. And i have a warped rim or some issue with the ride of the car that i didnt notice. Since i have only driven back and forth to work. This a a great disappointment. As i have not had a chance to enjoy the car fully due to these constant issues. I have addresses these issues with several employs from sales to service. As when i call the dealership never answers the phone. So i have to drive in tobthe store. And when i do speak to someone i am told yake your car to Lincoln we dont have the tools to fix it. Just being blown off constantly! And i am on the hook for 21,000 for a broken vehicle that i cant enjoy and constantly am having problwms with!! So damn angry and dissappointed!!!!!!

I was treated with the best customer service experience. My immediate sales guy I worked with was Awesome!! He had product knowledge and great customer service. He had a very honest way of informing us about my vehicle and incentives in place, and more than welling to accommodate any issues or concerns we had or could have in the future. It was an easy going experience, one that I can attest that I have never had in past purchases with other car sales. Finance was just as great!! Straight forward honest people!! Give them a try.

Everyone, especially our salesman Alan was great. No high pressure sales tactics, we received the deal we negotiated. Pre-delivery instruction on all the cars functions and how to access them was complete. Car was washed and gas tank filled when we took passion.
I would recommend AutoNation Hyundai to anyone looking for a honest
and fair dealership. In my 60 years of driving and buying cars this was one of my best experiences.

My sales rep Ted Journiette helped me get the car that i wanted. with ease.. very happy with my '17 Elantra. They will work with you just tell them your situation and what your looking for. Most of my family if not all, has bought and currently owned a vehicle coming from Tempe Auto Nation. Definitely the Walmart of cars. Many options and great customer service! I just bought My third car from Hyundai Tempe. And like the other two experiences this went fantastically. They allowed me to do alot of the research, paperwork, obtaining approvals, etc via email. When I walked into the dealership, Ashley had the car sitting out front waiting for me. For once my test drive was a good test drive, I got to try out alot of the functions of the car. We returned and within 2 hrs I was in my new car going down the road. I want to Thank Ashley for the outstanding Job, and I want to Thank Casey my service advisor who I had talked to over the last two years about replacing my current hyundai. Both made my car buying experience enjoyable. My new car will go to Hyundai Tempe for service, because Casey G take such great care of me and my cars.

I purchased my first car here and the process was so wonderful! I shopped around on my own a lot before buying and felt weird pressures from every other dealership. Johnny and Tammy made me feel secure and welcomed. My financial advisor made me feel more comfortable about getting the car than anyone, I wish I could remember his name as he was AWESOME. Made online appointment. Tried to follow up for 5 days on status of car. Was told car is not in system. No one knows where car is for 5 days. Amanda dell let me know that she just forgot to register my car into my system. Got a oil change with a 5 day follow up. One star bc car was lost for 5 days, no communication.

I got my Hyundai Sonata Limited 2020 from Autonation Hyundai Tempe. Initially, I was only gonna go for a test drive and immediately liked everything about Sonata. Ted was the one who helped me when I got to the dealership. Really nice and helpful. I didn't hesitate to get the car the same day. Also, a call out to Ashley Cude and Jenaffer for their constant communication getting thru the sales cycle. Refreshments available while shopping and waiting to see the finance department. Vehicle was nicely detailed and spotless upon delivery.

I negotiated with several dealerships in Phoenix simultaneously and he is the only sales associate who provided a full out-the-door quote. I was able to reach a deal that I was satisfied with. Mike said it would take about 90 minutes to get the oil changed, It took about 2.5 hours because my car was sitting in the valet spot for about 90 minutes before anything was done. He took care of the problem which was very professional but overall service was a disappointment.

A missed opportunity...

A missed opportunity...

Warranty was denied for an AC issue on our 2015 Elantra. The dealership claimed a rock damaged the condenser causing the leak and wanted to charge over $1100 to replace it.

I was able to find the part on-line for $100 and replace it myself in 1.5 hrs. Very easy job. Big O charged $115 to pull the vacuum and recharge the system...

After I removed the condenser, the leaks appeared to be several and dirt/oil had collected in those spots. There was no signs of heavy rock damage... hardly visible nicks at best is what I would describe it as.

I find it a shame that a company would not stand behind the product... I have never had a condenser fail in my life of 53 years.... Based on the minimal visible damage, I believe it very may have been thin wall condition on the condenser itself that caused the problem.... Such a low cost to buy the part on-line, the dealership wasted an opportunity to gain a loyal and satisfied customer.... Now I will never buy a Hyundai product again and will share my story with others.

I was well taken care of from the moment I express...

I was well taken care of from the moment I expressed interest in a car they had in the used lot. I came from out of state specifically for a car they had and they held it for me which was great. The car was clean inside and out although there were more dents in the side that were not originally shown in the pictures. Overall still a good experienced, was taken care of by the sales rep all the way until I left the lot. The only thing they overlooked was filling the gas tank up. I'm sure it's just a courtesy but I ended up leaving with the gas light on unfortunately. I did not return when I noticed because we had another appointment, but I am certain they would have taken care of me.

Once again the folks at AutoNation Hyundai Tempe provided excellent service in my Santa Fe. It was a routine service but everything was top notch. My service was through Amanda and she got me in when I wanted to meet my schedule. No delays getting in service was on time. Wait area was nice and comfortable. Was able to get some work done. Car came back exceptionally clean. Was very satisfied and will be back the next time I need any service for my Santa Fe.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! They are a bunch of lying bastards. They will tell you a payment to get into your car then change everything on you 2 days later. DO NOT BUY HERE. They don't keep any of their promises. Some of the oiliness, shadiest salesmen I've ever worked with, from the manager to finance. Huge regret coming here.

Just bought a new Elantra and absolutely love it! Tony was great and super helpful finding me the car I wanted. This is my 7th car purchase and by far the best experience I have had from start to finish. I would recommend this dealership and especially my terrific salesman Tony to anyone! Love...love...love my new car!!!
