NH Firenze Reviews

Overall had a good experience. Keep in mind this hotel has been in use for over 6 centuries. We reserved two rooms: junior suite and a regular room. The junior suite had an awful sewage smell but management was able to upgrade us to the presidential suite. At first this sounded great, but the suite was very awkward. About 6 flights of stairs (within the suite) from the 5th floor to upstairs lounge. Narrow and steep stairs - not safe for kids or elderly! Finally, switched to another junior suite on the last night, but the shower was half broken - faucet knob didn t work. Regular room has an exercise bike and some yoga mats/hand weights. Not bad for burning off some carbs when in florence.

Management was very accommodating. One recommendation I can make is to have colder AC!

Especially the treatment received by the hotel staff, making a special mention to Nadine that from the beginning facilitated the stay, resolving any doubt without any problem.

I stayed at the NH hotel for one night. The room was not very large, as a single room it was fine but as a double one could have felt the lack of space. I found the room clean but the bathroom was not well cleaned (very limestone on the shower tiles). Well soundproofed. Beautiful rooftop with views across Florence. Decent breakfast.

Stay in Florence for a year now. I have tried quite a few hotels, but I keep coming back here very willingly. After yet another stay I decided to leave a review to share my experience in this 4-star hotel that makes your stay truly enjoyable. Very large and clean rooms, terrace with swimming pool in summer, gym, restaurant and above all STAFF, make you feel like you are in a real big family. Thanks and see you soon!

Very nice hotel located 15 minutes walk from the piazza del Duomo. The interior is very clean and well maintained and the rooms luxurious. The staff is very welcoming and does not hesitate to give advice on the stay.
The swimming pool on the roof of the hotel is a delight in the heat of the city. However, it is necessary to pay parking fees in one of the nearby garages, as there is no possibility of parking around (restricted traffic area)

Excellent service. I owe a debt of gratitude to this hotel for the unexpected welcome for me is my family on a particular night. By comparison other hotels in the area may also be closed.

The hotel is very comfortable, I was welcomed with a pleasant surprise or vin santo and cantuccini Room. The rooms are comfortable, stylish and well appointed. The staff proved friendly and professional.

The location is lovely, the staff are delightful and the dinner is delicious.
We had a spritz-based aperitif before and I can assure you that the drink was excellent, and I ate various appetizers, excellent prawns! The fresh pasta cooked by the chef won us over and the meat was absolutely top quality. My husband and I can't wait to go back!

The staff are helpful, nice and the hotel has a complementary smartphone for guest to used during the stay.

Nice and modern hotel. Little disturbing from nearby tram jar. The breakfast could be better. To much desserts in my opinion and almost no vegetables. Lack of some thing in the rooms, for example a shoehorn.

Do you want to enjoy the perfect sunset? You are in the right place: Terrace with wonderful view of Florence, delicious cocktails and good wine selection. Very friendly and professional staff. Relaxing environment and perfect rooms. Perfect location for those who want to stay close to the center but away from the chaos.

Because the flight was cancelled, the service was very good, the attitude was very good, and the breakfast was very good.

The hotel is very well located, close to the station, about fifteen minutes away, where trains leave for Venice, Rome or Luca. And near the center, about fifteen minutes along the Arno river.

This hotel doesn t deserve 4 stars. Or it s a 4-star HoStel !

I ve been to other good NH hotels but the ones in Florencia are really disappointing... mainly for the quality of their restaurant. And other small attentions that make the difference ;

I mean we are talking :
- 22 for a disappointing burger (Mcdo are better!) served with... CRISPS... not French Fries ! But LAYS Chips... 22 . Come on...
- 4.50 for a Coca Cola... plz...

They organise events/meetings in the lobby of their reception, at the entrance of their hotel. It gets crowded... This kind of meeting should be in a separate room!

Also, no complimentary waters in the room, or kettles, or coffee...!
They didn t re-supply the shampoo and shower gel samples after cleaning.
Furthermore the minibar does the sound of a car (and I m not talking electrical car!) !
And last but not least... the rooftop (which has an incredible view over FLR, I must grant that to them...) is closed half of the year, it s a shame because that s such a good point to this hotel !

NH if you want to keep your reputation and your standard, this hotel should be thoroughly reviewed...

Excellent welcome, friendly and helpful staff, terrace with swimming pool with excellent bar service, top cleaning.

Very friendly and helpful to tourists. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was very nice. The main sightseeing areas are walkable, within a mile. Plan on walking 5 to 8 miles a day to sightsee.

Convenient location (20 minute walk from the market, or a short train ride).

Walking distance to 'Borderline', one of the best restaurants in Florence.

Amazing breakfast spread, also open for lunch and dinner I believe, and nice little bar open at night.

Incredibly friendly staff, and cool amenities like a smartphone for you to use, free of charge and electric scooters/bikes for rent.

Will absolutely be staying at NH hotels, whenever possible. Especially in Florence :)

Noisy, no character and lacking. small Standard room, the shower door leaked, the room there was a permanently noisy pipe, the Wi-Fi did not work for three days. For the rest, modern furniture, excellent mattress, cushions a little too low.

A good hotel near the center. You are 20 minutes walk from the center. The walk is very nice since you can do it by skirting the river. The hotel is very welcoming and the receptionists and waiters are very friendly. The rooms are not very big, but very cozy and clean

Hotel located in the central area near the Porta al Prato (Leopolda) stop on the T1 tramway line. The property offers spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean rooms. Also recommended is the indoor restaurant available

Comfortable rooms, good attention, modern, a little far from the center, but it allows you to make a nice walk on the banks of the river. The rich breakfast. Recommended 100%

Very nice bar area, otherwise a structure that would need some overall restructuring effort.

Excellent staff. Breakfast is AMAZING! And well priced, very good staff! They were patient with my American unfamiliarity (the lights and toilet were confusing).

Please note that 4 star in Europe would be 3 star in USA. Prices are similar as well.

You can walk to everything worth seeing in Florence here as well! Valet parking, and services for bikes/scooters (I don t think the rideshare tech companies have taken hold yet much in Italy, so bikes and scooters concierge were helpful).

Checked in this past October. Rooms are large but a bit outdated which gives a feeling of room being a little dirty. Breakfast was good with a healthy variety. Staff was helpful during check-out but quite slow during check-in.

I stayed in this hotel with a friend of mine and two little girls, it was a wonderful experience thanks to the clean cozy room with all the comforts (very spacious bathrooms, comfortable mattresses, the possibility of having a coffee, tea, herbal tea, water) Yes reaches the center with a nice walk along the Arno, safe even in the evening and with little girls. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They delivered the room earlier than expected, helped with transportation. Breakfast has everything you need including an extra attention to intolerances, all of quality. Of course we will be back! Super recommended!

We stayed a weekend in September, a really recommendable hotel, clean, elegant and with friendly staff.
There are numerous mobility services (scooter, electric bike) but considering that it is 1 km from the center, they are not even that necessary.

You deserve 4 stars for a hotel less than 2 km from Ponte Vecchio. The rooms are well maintained, the food can be improved.

Good attention, varied and tasty breakfast, and very well located for those who want close to the center but with the serenity of a residential area. Recommendable.

The hotel is large with comfortable facilities, however it does not have cosiness for anyone expecting this from a honeymoon trip as was my experience. In the room, the bathroom exhaust was not working, besides being very dirty; the drain in the shower box did not drain the right water accumulating dirt.

Good hotel quite comfortable with the center. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent cleaning of the rooms and environments. Breakfast buffet with fresh products. I recommend rooms facing the back because they are quieter. Large rooms and bathrooms but with slightly dated furniture. The only real flaw is the lack of internal parking, in the immediate vicinity it is possible to park only for residents.

I stayed here while in Florence and it was a great location, super close to the main area. They are very vegetarian friendly and can pack breakfast to go if needed. They also helped us book a private taxi and guide for a morning. Very helpful people, i highly recommend.

Structure a bit secluded but really good, just a few hundred meters from the historic center of Florence, reachable with a pleasant walk along the Arno. Rooms very spacious and beautiful, well-kept and clean. Same thing for the bathroom. From the roof top you can enjoy a beautiful view of Florence and the surrounding hills, with the possibility of having an aperitif.

I continue to choose NH Firenze for my business trips for the attention and kindness of the staff, but above all for the bond created with them. <br/> Thanks in particular to Ryhad and all the restaurant staff (I highly recommend a dinner in terrace) and the fantastic reception staff.

Great Hotel Staff, Rooms and Restaurant

This was our second time at NH Firenze and for good reason, see my title. Everyone at the front desk that we encountered, namely Nadine, Federicka, Dolores and 2 others, we did not get their names (shame on us) were super helpful in making our stay one of the best in all of our travels. We had adjoining rooms and both rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Our rooms were facing the front and we could hear the tram and sirens, but it did not bother us at all. There were times we even had our windows open.Breakfast was wonderful and had quite a variety to choose from. Their coffee machine provided different choices of coffee which was nice. Same as the front desk, the restaurant crew was busy running around making sure that everyone was comfortable and happy.The hotel is about a kilometer from the city center. Staying at this hotel requires a lot of walking, which was not a problem this time of the year, but could be a problem at peak of the hot summer months, which was our first time in Florence last year.Nonetheless, it is the staff and the the rooms that make this hotel a great place to stay. We'll be back!

Hotel next to the national road. Car needed. Staff always on the run. If you want a value for money b&b it's an o.k option.
