Great location to downtown, food, and events. Rooms were clean and updated. Would stay here again while visiting Amsterdam.

Ok for a week end. Under renovation. Room floor and drain system absolutely in decay. Urges to compensate guests lowering prices until it renovates completely.

We spent our wedding anniversary in Amsterdam and when we came back to the hotel in the evening, we found a little present in the room. Balloons, a voucher and something sweet. We were very enthusiastic.
The breakfast is plentiful, you have a large selection of food and drinks.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Small discrepancies in the look of the hotel were more than compensated for with the service. We were very satisfied.

Great location, but has problems with air conditioning in the rooms.

Very well located hotel, super helpful staff, large and very comfortable room.
However, the air conditioning in the room was really bad. We didn't complain, because as it was a pleasant climate we ended up not using it.

After a very pleasant stay of 6 days at the hotel. If you place an order through booking it is important to check the small details and indicate your requests. The location of the hotel is excellent and close to everything !! Rooms and all areas of the hotel are very clean. The hotel staff in all departments are attentive and very attentive. It is important to know that there are small balconies that are located on floors 4 and 5. Big time allows for a great experience and enjoyment of the city.

Unhelpful staff. Check in is at 3 and no flexibility. Reception packed with people from the airport waiting to check in at 3. Whole day of tourism unfortunately wasted.

Hotel rooms in very poor condition, the alternative that was offered was far from our group. Amateur service, check-in took almost 40 minutes in the middle of the night because the printer wasn t working. They wanted to charge us for amenities that were never provided. This hotel does not match NH standards.

Well after a few days in the hotel that looks good and everything, the cleaning services here are the worst I have ever seen.
The cleaners just come in, fix the bed, change towels and that's it!
Do not change used glasses or change bags in cans simply leave the room as it is.
There is warm hot water but no good current (a little sucks)
They said the place is a 10 minute walk from the Dam and it's really not true it's a 10 minute drive to Dam Btram.
Walking is about 30 minutes.
It is said that the place is quite full of bars and the area is very lively, and no .. it is not .. it will suit anyone who is looking for chill and fun without too much noise or night life and so on ...

Great location , near transportation and shopping area . Room a bit dated , comfy bed and big bathroom.

We had rented a large suite with jacuzzi. We got a total NH hotel unworthy room, with broken lights and 2 worn chairs instead of a nice couch. Another suite was not available and received a downgrade room in the basement with no view. We ourselves requested compensation in the form of a free breakfast, this was arranged. And of course the price difference back. What should have been a luxury weekend became a disappointment. The staff helped us very well and were friendly, the director later sent an apology message. NH hotel do not rent NH hotel unworthy rooms! Compliment for staff.

In a great location, a short walk to most of the local ammentities.
Unfortunately my room was next to an ongoing construction site so was woken up very early each morning, would have been nice to have some kind of warning about this. The reception team were helpful, but were only able to switch my room on my final evening. The second room did have a great view which I was very pleased with.

The hotel could do with a bit of a refurb to touch old cracked and yellowing paint up and reconsideration of the breakfast price, 20 per person per day felt too much, considering there are lots of resonably priced cafe's a <5 minute walk away.

I liked the hotel very much! Right in the center, near the flower market, the room was on the seventh floor for two with two balconies, great design, everything is thought out to the smallest detail and sane, I recommend!

I don't know what to say about this hotel as I would probably sound like their marketing department!
This was my second stay at this hotel and l I can say is AWESOME!!!
This is the equivalent of a Hilton in the US and it is a truly fantastic property.
My rooms have always been very clean, well equipped and oh so comfortable!!!
The staff is second to none and the location is perfect.
The hotel sits just off the Leidersplein (I am sure I slaughtered the spelling on that) and is convenient to all trolley's, restaurants and night life.
Dam Square is just a 15 minute walk and the walk is an experience in itself. The city is so safe you can walk the streets at 2 AM and not feel any threat around you (regardless, when visiting any city do be aware of your surroundings).
With no hesitation, I recommend this hotel!!! Have a great stay!!!

Good hotel for short Trips, but the rooms were sometimes dirty!

Bathrooms are small and showerheads fixed. The location and rooms are lovely. Clean. Beds were comfortable, pillows.

Rooms spacious but they charge 80 for an extra rollaway bed.

Excellent hotel, central. The window of the room looked directly over one of the central squares of Amsterdam. Very cozy place is clean. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We took a quad and I have to say that it was really spacious and clean.

Nice, but during IBC show in September, pretty expensive hotel. The big advantage is a close restaurant Midtown grill in Marriott hotel:). The bar in NH closes at midnight. So no good parties there. The breakfast is good, but the scramble eggs are from powder, so terrible

The sheets were not very clean. The counter staff gave a double check in when they gave the room. The scheduled morning call did not. The next morning the duty officer said that there was no message. The booked baggage service also said that no one can do it. Please take care of it. A lot of nh are good, but this is a big mine.

Optimal position in a quiet area and served by local and means of transport. Very clean, excellent breakfast and extremely courteous and helpful staff who met all our information requests. Highly recommended.

One of the best front desk services teams and manager you will work with. They wanted to solve problems rather than just respond like 50% of front desks do. You can rely on this hotel

Service was great, nice room. Every employer we spoke to , especially Carolien and Mike were very nice !

Room key kept on demagnetizing, meaning many trips to the front desk. Room itself was fine. Small bathroom, large sitting area. Beds have a waterproof/allergy barrier, which was great for an allergy sufferer like myself. The wardrobe was not accessible with a rollaway bed, nor the mini fridge.

Good hotel, we had some problems with the room that were not resolved, the most is a good hotel. Breakfast very expensive and not included in the room rate.

Scam artists! Making us wait over 2 hours to check out! Found out that they had overcharged on the initial booking and also on the check out deposit! Very unhelpful staff and very rude! Especially Denise!

Hello everyone, would like to note a review of the hotel nh center amsterdam. The "experience" started when we arrived at the hotel and to our surprise the receptionist begged us that the room was not paid in advance and we had to arrange immediate payment for the room - only after proving our payment (lucky we printed an invoice at home) did she realize her mistake.
The stay experience culminated after two days when we returned to the room after an exhausting day of touring the city and found that new bags had disappeared from the room! (Bags from expensive stores) .. just do not have them-gone clothes and invoices of tax refunds!
The care the hotel management provided us was that the household was looking for our bags claiming to have been thrown away because they thought it was rubbish (with clothing details inside).
In each period of time we asked what was happening? And was our loss found? We had to retell the whole story. Turns out there are no cameras in the hallways and the cleaner who came into our room certainly remembered bags that had never been there. (that's where I suspected!).
From here we went through two whole days in which we were assured that we were looking for the bags (even though they could never remember the names of the bags), we kept calm for all those two days until it was time to check out and only then did us a favor. On the contents of the disappearing bags. (No tax refunds) The quotes are there because they did not really credit us and only after contacting the hotel by email did they start investigating the missing bags again .. Lucky I did not trust them and I was left with an invoice photo of the contents that happened to be in my wallet.
Must mention I'm sorry I did not call the police! Hotel management fell into disrepair!
Recommend you and my friends not to come to this hotel - there are many other good hotels at great prices, you will not miss anything.
In addition to the future I recommend concentrating all tax refunds in the safe immediately after returning to the room and your shopping put in a suitcase and close it on a key no matter what hotel you are in .. because here I relied on the hotel and the household Wind and not ruin for myself the vacation.

Very pleasant experience staying with being so close to where we wanted to be, all staff very nice and showed us where to go near for fun etc. However the experience has been tarnished.



Their customer service has been so poor, I ve attempted multiples times to contact them and resolve this situation various times and still have not been given my money back and incurred calling charges.

Overvalued. Very expensive for what it offers. The hotel is comfortable, clean and well located, but in the area there are cheaper hotels. Five blocks away, on Overtoon, there are several Rent a Car agencies where you can return or take your car. That aspect is positive. Super abundant breakfast, but it costs 20euros

A hotel with an excellent location, because it is close to the museum district. The breakfast is very good. They didn't get any valid notes from me about cleaning. About the staff.

This hotel is in a very good location . The team is willing to help. I went for a business meeting bit concern on the amount of light on the desk to work and the lack of plugs. They bring me a lap!

If you want to be awoken by building work and someone staring through your window for the three days you stayed!!! Hotel has a large amount of noise from 7.30am... air con/heater was broken. Wouldn't change our room untill 3pm the next day. Old fashioned out dated. Location is good and in general room was clean but that's it

Well located. They should have informed us that the hotel is under renovation ... A bit disappointing .... The rooms a pelin used .... Well mattresses and clean bathrooms. In Spain this would be a three star .....

I don't think I've ever stayed in such a shabby 4 star hotel. The room was tiny, and had not been refurbished for a very long time. The lino floors in the room were completely worn away and damaged. As a result the floor was not only uneven but also dirty as it could not be properly cleaned - very unpleasant to walk on. The window overlooked the back of an office building and noisy AC units.

The internet was almost non-existent. The free service was not fast enough to open simple webpages (0.1 Mbps), the "enhanced" service at 9.99 euros per day was only around 1 Mbps. Once purchased, I could not get the faster speed on the desired device, when I tried to ring reception for help the phone was disconnected.

When I used a couple of items from the minibar they were not replaced the next day.



I'll never stay in an NH hotel again.
