Worst customer service I ve experienced in awhile....

Worst customer service I ve experienced in awhile. I came in to activate a new company phone and they swapped in my old SIM card and shredded my new SIM card. The old SIM turned out to be not compatible with the new phone and I returned to fix the issue. They then said they needed my company to give me authorization to get a new SIM card and fix the issue even though they had shredded my perfectly good new SIM card that came with the new phone. I initially walked into the store in the hopes of easing the process and didn t think it was possible to actually make things more difficult on me. Manager was extremely rude and incompetent and not willing to fix the issue they had caused. This took place on 9/27/19 at 10:30am.

I can t stand AT&T s 800 number customer service. Every call takes hours with multiple transfers and no one ever wants to help you. I decided to go to the store today and Jennifer was extremely helpful. She got both my problems figured out in a very timely manner.

I visited the AT&T store in downtown San Diego and was Fred gave me the best service I could have imagine. He really took the time to assess my needs and did not try to over sale me and recommend what I need. A true professional in every way. He was great!

As soon as I entered this wonderful woman greeted me and helped me instantly! There was no judgement or contempt in her demeanor, which is very rare, due to the fact Im very obviously houseless. She treated me like any other customer and even referred me to one of their competitors for a phone case since they didn't sell the kind I needed. I wish I could remember her name so she gets recognition for her outstanding service and professional courtious personality!

I went in to buy the Note 8, just pay for it and leave, could have been done in 5 minutes. Instead I waited a solid 45 minutes just to buy a device I knew I just wanted to pay for and leave.

I recently moved downtown and my phone that is only 18 months old has been losing the screen and was on its way out. I walked in and Eden greeted me right away. I told her I am NOT at all technological and would take up a lot of her time. She said no worries have a seat. Before she even asked me to upgrade she tried to look into the problem with my phone first. As I figured it was not fixable. Two hours later, I walked out with my new phone and everything I needed updated and transferred to my new phone. She walked me through all the "idiot" phone questions a non techy would have. She did it with a smile too! I found all the employees at this store helpful and fun. I loved their positive energy and Eden ROCKS!! She was the best! Thank you!

AT&T is not the company I thought it was. My daughter likes the service a lot in Texas. However my experience here in San Diego is the same as New York. As a customer you are mislead by incompetent salespeople who do not actually know what they are selling or how it works

This company is the most unprofessional, unhelpful, anti customer business I have ever had the displeasure of being trapped into business with. I have been trying to cancel my service with this AWFUL company for weeks. My calls always get conveniently disconnected and never returned. I m livid!

Ordered a phone through the AT&T website for pick up in the store. When I ordered yesterday I was told it would be ready in about two hours. I finally got the email that it was ready for pickup about 7 hours after I ordered the phone and of course the store was closed by that point. Now I come today to pick up the phone and they literally can not get the system to release the phone to me. I ve been here for over an hour....

Update: The agent eventually told me that his best advice was to wait until the hold clears In three days and try to order again. I went back to my car and tried to dial 611 to speak to Customer Retention and found out that the phone I walked in with was now disconnected from the network. I went back to the store and spent another hour there only to be told there are SIM delays and my phone should work sometime later. The agent did his best with what he had but ultimately whatever AT&T is pushing out to the store is not user friendly for anyone.

Ms. Tia, was so helpful. She has a great attitude and personality! I ve had an a IPhone for years and was seeking help with my phone and a friend s. I needed help with my iCloud and passwords which was a terrible problem remembering. She helped me unlock my phone for a friend to have and remember my iCloud to access my account. I m terrible with trying to remember, unfortunately because Apple wants something different than a usual password I use for other devices. I m very happy I came in at the right time and have had the help from Tia. She deserves to be appreciated and acknowledged for her costumer service. I ve been a server for years and she has exactly what it takes to be a great asset to any company! Thank you!

4star for the long wait, store was short staffed, I think there was only 4 employees and this is one of the larger stores, about 15-16 customers and of course they could help as many as there are employees at a time!

Courteous and efficient once my turn came up and they apologized multiple times for long wait.
Will go back to this store if needed.

Do not expect to be greeted, served, or helped in a timely manner. Twice I ve come in and the systems are down . 3 employees on the floor helping customers and 6 people waiting in line. Told we ll be right with you , but clearly that s not true, so why say it? Another employee walks in and takes tile to brush his teeth before helping the obvious backup of customers. Get it together.

He walked me through all of the new phones and asked what I wanted and did not try to upsell or push. I was very shocked by this and I am very gladHe was the one to help me. This is the most knowledgeable and friendly AT&T store that I have been to in a long time. Mariano, the rep that helped me, was friendly so patient. Helped me upgrade my phone and get me set up. He s for sure an incredible asset to this store and company.

Let me preface this with the fact that everyone we dealt with in the store was great but what followed has been a nightmare of an ordeal-

On January 4th, 2018 I purchased a new iPhone X thru the AT&T store at 252 Broadway in San Diego. AT&T was offering a "buy one get one free" deal for an iPhone 8 which I took them up on and gave that iPhone to my wife. But she decided that she would prefer the larger iPhone 8 Plus so we returned to the AT&T store a few days later and was told that we would only have to pay a $200 upgrade fee to which we agreed.

But AT&T began charging me monthly installments of $31.67 for the full price ($949.99) of the "free" iPhone 8.
I contacted AT&T and explained what was happening and they said I had to take it up with the store manager which I did. I had to go back down to the store to talk with him but he promised that he would get it handled and a credit would soon appear on my account - but it never did.
I contacted AT&T several more times - including the store manager, AT&T's corporate billing department and a several other departments, each time getting an assurance that it would be handled on the next billing cycle but it still has not been resolved.
AT&T has now just charged me for my 10th monthly installment payment!
At this point I have no faith or patience remaining in AT&T getting this resolved and have just filed a complaint with the BBB to try to get intervention and resolution...

All the stars for Jimmy, but had to take off one because it is still AT&T we are talking about. I have had AT&T since high school and can't bring myself to switch carriers, no matter how many stupid people I deal with or millions of dollars I pay for barely using my phone. It would be a terrible thing, except JIMMY at the downtown location is AMAZING. He seriously is one of the only reasons I have stayed with this carrier. He is the best person I've ever worked with in my 14-16 years with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T and I wish there was a Jimmy every time I needed customer service from any business. All the people at this spot are sweet, but Jimmy is THE BEST EVER. All caps, so you know it's true. He's super honest, funny, smart, and knows what's up. Make an appt first!

I went to the downtown store to get an iPad for my company. JONATHAN C was the man to help me out. Not only did I get exceptional customer service from him I walked out with two iPads and spent less than I would ve if I would ve bought them anywhere else. He explained to me that the specials they had that it s cheaper to get to that it is to get one. He gave me both prices and I was able to choose what I wanted. Thank you very much hands-down the best experience I ve ever had with AT&T.

I have written hundreds of reviews some in gratitude, others in disappointment and some wanting betterment for others. But this one I was compelled to write. I want to say it takes a certain type of person to be so human you say, I'd like to be more like her. This human has a name and made a great impression on me. Her name is Tia Harris, I don't know where AT&T found her? They need to find more like her. She is delightful, kind, patient, and generous. Tia thank for our time making a tedious task easy on me. Your kindness towards others Shows!

Located right by Horton Plaza, parking is a challenge as usual for downtown. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about AT&T services and equipment. They make sure you are comfortable, offer you water and listen to your issues to better help you. We left the store happy with our experience but not with AT&T in general.
