Great Staff! Great Service! Very Educative, We learned alot me and the wife!
My Dad was in the hospital for 14 days, so I had lots of time to evaluate the people, processes anc technology in use by the staff.. He was treated very well by all the staff, both during the day and ant night and on weekends. he should make a full recovery. The only complaint I have is that the phone "system", and I used the word loosely, is terrible. If anyone ever evaluated the time the staff wastes trying to reach other departments to get status, transfer calls or respond to outside inquiries for help, I am sure they would find evidence of significant waste of human capital. Get with it NY Presbyterian Queens,, the telephony systems of the 21st century await you.
My wife just deliver our baby few days ago here .Doctor Andrea Olanescu, MD OGBYN, she is the best!!! She loves what she is doing , she takes care of every single thing and makes you strong even with every single word .
For sure we gonna choose her again and again in the future !!! To have a doctor like her you can consider yourself blessed.and also the hospital is very lucky to have her as a doctor !!
Also the nurses Vania from maternity , Angela , Lorna from labor and delivery ,they are very very kind . The lactation lady Eugenie also, the man who did epidural too , And most of the nurses (exept few of them ) was really really nice and very helpful and they took care of us with patient !!! I love this hospital because of these people too!
Worst costumer service in the world. Mother was in pain and couldn't attend her appointment, when we called to reschedule they put her on hold twice and hung up the phone BOTH times. When we called again a third time, the lady at the front desk gave us attitude for wanting to seek help. Go somewhere else.
I went for surgery and the doctors and nurses were great!
THE WORST HOSPITAL!!!!!!!
TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE STAFF, COLD HEARTED NURSES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHATS THE POINT GOING THERE IF A SICK EMERGENCY PATIENT IS WAITING FOR HOURS AND HOURS TO BE SEEN.
PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!!!!
WORST HOSPITAL AND STAFF.
Upon leaving the hospital with our 99 year old grandmother , hospital workers Dwayne Stewart and Troy Patterson who happen to be just walking by and saw us struggling both took their time to help us get our immobile grandmother into the car. Its people like that that make a great community !
Once the doctors get it together then the hospital is one of the best. Beside my son was born ther 26 yrs ago.
They have great service and the staff is very friendly. Dr. Suzzette Robinson is the best.
Still waiting 3.5 hours and nothing! Worst service ever! Go somewhere else.
DO NOT GO if you have an actual emergency. I came in with severe abdominal pains. I ve thrown up twice here and have been here over 2 hours and I m not a priority. Don t waist your time here. Nursing was rude and had an oh well attitude.
Admitted at 6:30pm and have not left the E.R after 5 hours of wait time. I was told to wait another 3 hours to be seen by the doctor. Worst ER of all time.
Best .. Best Hospital from Maternity, Doctors, Nurse , Food and especially in their Service are Number 1 . The place very clean and the people are very Professional. Most Highly Recommended. Thank You .
F*****g unbelievable ER, you already dead before they call you, you will wait for 3 to 5 hours. Don't go in this F*****g hospital m
Bad very bad service super slow why you should wait so long when you come to an emergency!!!
Visited on 8/1/18 with my young child. Upon arrival, we were expedited to the front of the registration line. After entering the pediatric ED, the service was steadily pleasant. Nurses Susan & Jenna were very patient and compassionate towards my daughter who was nervous as she associates doctors & hospitals with "shots." Luckily, she needed no shots. Dr. Thompson was very thorough in explaining the diagnosis, what they were going to do for my child & with answering any questions I had. I was extremely pleased with the swift yet efficient attention they gave to my daughter. I appreciate not being overlooked & waiting hours on end. Kudos & God Bless them all!
I am 38 weeks 5 days pregnant I went to grab a chair to sit down cause my husband is being seen this black nurse told me I couldn t take the chair that I have to stand but yet have a lady who I have pictures below give her chair makes a person not wanna come back to this place
Modern, staff is nice, wait times can be a bit long.
Everyone s so nice, cute, funny, professional and quick compared to other hospitals in the area. Everyone at the ER front desk VERY FRIENDLY. Susan RN super cool, Michael the nurse super nice, Michael the doctor very nice too. He helped me ease my anxieties and my neuro exam was good. I m glad I came here for care after the bike accident I had.
I wish i could give it a zero rude service good at front desk takes a year and a half 5 star at front desk
Reception and nurses are relatively indifferent, and the waiting time for medical treatment will directly lead you to miss the best treatment time. No matter how serious you are, she asks you to wait, and the hospital has the responsibility to shirk responsibility. My wife was pregnant only a little. Bleeding, but it took 6 hours to wait for the doctor to go to the hospital, which directly led to miscarriage. Finally, the doctor did not tell us that it was a miscarriage. We called the gynaecologist to check the next day. The doctor saw the doctor the next day. The report tells us that it is abortion. Didn t tell us on the first day that we were afraid of telling him? Sb something, cao you?
My girlfriend's abdomen is very painful. I went to the hospital to see the emergency department. From 6 pm to 2 am the next day, I was diagnosed by a doctor and waited for eight hours. This was disappointing.
Have been waiting to er last 7 hrs.....can't even see a doctor...I was referred by a doctor for faster service while having some serious health issue.....
Incompetent, disrespectful bunch of idiot nurses that work here.
I went to the emergency room for head injury 2 days ago. The lady at the front desk and the doctor that saw me are both very nice
but I was really disgusted by the attitude of 2 Asian ladies that work in the emergency room: One is working in the regestration room; and the other one is working in another room inside the waiting area---- both of them treat patient in a very rude manner. I won't mention too much about the one that works in the regestration room, I would specifically talk about the one that works inside the waiting area because I personally think she is the rudest one. After I have seen my doctor, done my CT scan, I was waiting in the waiting room for the final results. Well, after I've been waiting for about more than one hour (the time is almost 10PM), I wanted to find out how long I still had to wait before I got discharged. First I asked the security, she told me to go inside a room to ask for information where there were 2 people working in front of a computer. After hearing what I was concerning, the old black lady sitting near the door told me to ask the Asian lady further inside the room, which looks like some 16 year old girl from south east Asia a real ugly girl by the way . I asked her nicely when I can be discharged. But to my surprise, she gave me a really nasty look like I just owed her thousands of bucks, and said in a really condescending attitude: "Who are you? Why you here? Where're you from?"
ARE YOU F**in KIDDING ME?
What is this, some kind of joke? are you checking a suspected criminal, Who taught you to ask patients this sort of rude and idiotic questions? What are you, a slave driver? Did your parents taught you to speak to people like that? Didn't your parents teach you some manner? You feed your superiority complex by talking down to patients this way?
Well, I have to calmed my temper down and asked her again. she showed me some really nasty body language and said" you got a go to the front desk , bla bla ..... etc" I did not bother to argue with her at the time due to my headache, but rather I talked to the doctor that just saw me in the triage room.
luckily I got discharged by my doctor within 10 minutes.
I forgot to ask that Asian lady's name at the time because I was in pain and also too upset but I am sure any one who visit Queens Hospital emergency room often should know whom I am talking about. I personally think this Asian lady should be fired for having such nasty and rude attitude towards patient.
How did you degenerates get your jobs anyway? Please Learn to treat patients with care and respect. At least pretend that you care for patient's safety and well being, as that is a part of your job-correct? And stop openly bad mouthing patients. Disgusting
This hospital is a good hospital, I am happy we have this hospital in flushing because the nurses, doctors and staff are great. They do all they can to help patients and make them feel better. Rather come to this hospital then flushing hospital.
I had 2 operations there and they were my first. I will never forget Dr Chawla who performed the first. He has disappeared, but I still look for him.
Hi, this review is with regards to the doctor who helped the blind man who was looking for a guide to exit the building. God bless your good deeds , doctor. You are an example of a person worthy to be emulated.
My mother was taking to the emergency Rm, for an in-farct. She was treated wonderful. That you everyone for caring for my mother.
I only go here to see my daughter's pediatric doctor. Don't go to the ER it is horrible !!!! They don't care about the kids being sick. My daughter had a fever and the doctor didn't care. I take my daughter to Elmhurst Hospital only if I need to go to the ER !!!
It took me 6 months to write this review because honestly I was so disgusted with this hospital that I didn t know what to write. My OBGYN was only affiliated with this hospital unfortunately. Towards the end of my pregnancy they sent me on the labor and delivery tour. When I seen the labor and delivery room I was happy. When they brought us down to the maternity floor I was disgusted. Especially since they said the did renovations. The maternity floor looked out dated. Paint peeling off the walls. Looked more like a psych ward to me. I tried to register at Katz but since my doctor wasn t affiliated it was too much of a process to get records transferred at that point in my pregnancy. The day I went into labor. I had to get induced. The nurses on the labor and delivery floor were great which is why I m giving them a star. I was in labor for 26 hours. About 6 doctors came in within that time frame to see how dialted I was. Finally after the 6th doctor he told me the baby wasn t positioned correctly. Which I find ridiculous since the 5 doctors before him should ve determined that in order to try and position the baby correctly. So I had no choice but to do an emergency C-Section. I informed the nurses we wanted to cut the umbilical cord and do skin to skin. They did not let me do skin to skin right away and they did not let me husband cut the umbilical cord. They took that away from me and my husband. I cried for days Bc that was important and I didn t see my baby for almost a hour after delivery. The doctor we had Michael Csompo was great. He came in on his day off to even check on me. On the maternity floor the nurses were horrible except for the nurse Jackie and this other lady who helped with me using the bathroom and dressing. I called for Jackie the first night and it took her 30 min to get to the room Bc the lady at the desk decided to take a lunch break and not inform Jackie and I bled out on the bed. Jackie did get mad at her for me since as a patient I shouldn t have been ignored. The whole time the nurses were rude and didn t check on me. When I was in so much pain that I couldn t get up to hold the baby they wouldn t bring the baby to the nursery to get help for me. I felt like it was the worst experience of my life. I will NEVERRRR come back to this hospital again. I will go to Katz women s hospital like I originally wanted to. Also I found it very strange that all the woman that were in the hospital with me ALL got C sections. You re going to tell me that we all truly needed one. We all know you get paid more for c section delivery. I honestly wanted to sue this hospital for how unprofessional it was and not taking the write procedure to ensure my daughter was positioned correctly for delivery and forcing me to have no choice but a c section.
My wife and I are thankful for this hospital baby. We are especially grateful for Dr. Na who has delivered two babies for us and is a fantastic doctor. The labor and delivery nursing staff is also outstanding. The cafeteria in the basement is a little-known secret, offering many good food options, especially for breakfast!
Terrible terrible terrible! I went to the emergency room in January and when asked if I had insurance I handed over the lady my insurance I'd card which is under my moms policy. The person responsible for looking up my insurance was the most laziest stupid person this hospital has hired. 4 months later I got a letter from collections stating that my insurance is not paying the bill. When I called my insurance it turns out they tried to bill me under my fathers insurance which is no longer in affect. So because that lazy employee did not go through the trouble of inputting my moms policy number which I handed to them in their hands all he/she needed to do was go type it into the system with their little fingers like seriously, you only have one job. There was no need for me to be dealing with collections. On top of that the lady at the cashier department which is in charge of billing doesn't even know what the heck she is talking about and proceeds to say "oh this is a private hospital" like excuse me I have a private insurance With full coverage so Dont give a damn if it's a private hospital. Not coming back here and the only reason I came was because my moms clinic was closed on New Year's Day. Stay away.
Horrible emergency room they don t treat the patient nicely they Nurses are so rude I don t care Jessica she was so horrible so I m going to complain to department of health so the be on top of does Nurses
Worst ER EVER. Sat for FOUR HOURS wating for an orthopedic doctor that was "coming right down" 30 mins after I arrived. After inquiring for the forth time, I got fed up and just walked out. RIDICULOUS. There is no communication amongst the staff. I could over hear several doctors and nurses asking the same patient the same questions repeatedly. TERRIBLE experience.
The only good thing of this hospital is the name. The doctors, the nurses and the aids are careless and inhumans. My mother suffered a stage 4 bed sore while been there. Nor in ICU or in the regular floor my moms care was treated properly. Is something simple to avoid, but yet some how their careless acts, will take months if not a year for her wound to heal. The doctor's main interest is how much money they can get before Medicare starts pressuring them for discharge. Patients are been discharged pushed or pressured by Medicare and not by the patients health treatment accomplishments. It is a shame that a hospital like this place is called a hospital. I could give it a zero star if i could.
Worst hospital. Staffs are rude. Doc didnt catch my toes were broke though she has x-ray. I kept complaining about the pain while nothing was helpful including clinic doctors because they want leave a voice msg with my number so that they can reach back to me for appointment. However I got nothing. Claim may be filed.
Never have a problem at this hospital. Professional and attentive ER staff. Hard to understand alll of the low ratings
This is the worst Hospital you could be in they do not care how about their patient they will leave you to die in their bed don't even bother to come in
Every couple of months my mother is admitted to this hospital, and every time she is stabed by unprofessional savages who call themselves nurses, doctors and phlebotomist. They take advantage of the fact that she cannot defend herself in English, and so poke her where ever it's easier for them and not for the patient. My mother suffers from trauma due to her health issues, and stabbing her with needles does not make her experience in this hospital even better. The only reason why we keep coming back is because of short distance. So I'm sharing this with you guys so you're aware that there's so many people like my mother, who are tortured by idiots who lack compasion and humanity.
I went there to get my tooth pulled. They didn t do too bad but it s nothing like Presbyterian on 60th and York.
If I had a choice I wouldn't even give this hospital one star ... from the ambulances that picked up my father to the ER room and the surgical unit team words cannot be expressed of how horrible they had treated my father ... never again will I or any of my family members go to this hospital ...
No communacation left me waiting to make an appointment for a test no one is on same page disorganized unfriendly staff in cardiology clinic no companion for the patients there very unproffesinal staff in cardiology clinic made us very uncomfortable
This hospital is really good. The nurses., and doctors are really nice...And the food is really good...much better than any other hospitals...
Peds ER was great! Very kind staff, great follow up and clear instructions! Would highly recommend!
truely one of the best hospitals in the state of new york its not just about its impeccable cleanliness-but about its staff who are deverse and yet come together as a team that offers the best treatment and after treatmnet in new york city
I must say Dr.Todd from the delivery unit was very professional . She did her best effort for my wife . Thanks to Dr.Todd for everything
Been in emergency room 8 hrs....NOTHING should take that long!
It s hard to find the right words to describe the amazing and beautiful experience I had in NY presbyterian Queens. I am a first time mom who delivered in this hospital, my baby girl had to be in the NICU for almost a week. It was the scariest experience in my life but the nurses and physicians assistants were so kind and compassionate. I knew my baby girl was in the best care. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Maternity and NICU team. This hospital is the best and I was very blessed to have delivered my precious baby there.
Horrible I ve been waiting 5 hours and nothing. Don t come here if you cherish your life.
By far the best hospital to go too in Queens, in my opinion. Best experience. Very clean and hospitality was great.
Excellent Excellent Service the workers are good and the doctors.
Had serve car crash here for weeks # I am a big guy and need air cond , most not working correctly #2 broken legs the bed I am in is too short after setting my legs will be a big headache for me #3has very old junk furniture trying to use recliner it was broken too stay far away Steven
I love this place because I went right inside got triaged sent to urgent care and now she's writing my prescription for my antibiotics
They never know what's wrong with you. They run tests keep you there all day, nurses pay 0 attention to you. Never seen an actual doctor, always PA's who are clueless. Excruciating chest pain radiating to the back, swollen feet and they say to go home and take Advil. Not worth your time. This place is ran by children.
We ve been in the ER with my daughter waiting for the hospital room for over 28 hours now even after officially admitted status 12 hours ago. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS.
You have to chase people down to try and get some sort of answer and they all feed you the same answer I need to check and will come back .
The ER is a hellzone. The staff are boring and slow. They don t check on you, no privacy, uncomfortable, miserable atmosphere.
Emergency room staff is friendly and knowledgeable but the wait is outrageous! Waited 3 hours for transport from ED to the admitted room! How backed up can you be to wait for transport 3 hours?? Terrible!!
Doctors and staffs here are full of professional attitude and are also full of kindness to the children.
I can t think of a better hospital experience. Each professional introduced themselves and was very kind and attentive. I didn t want to wait for the survey because I don t want to forget the names of all the wonderful people who took care of me. Diana in emergency, a perfect nurse was the beginning. Roberta my nurse when I got admitted, a wonderful sympathetic professional, Sue, the nurse who replaced her, wonderful. The surgical team (can t remember their names, but a better group does not exist). Of course my Surgeon, Dr. Merola, the best and Dr. Villani who also operated, a wonderful manner. Also the anesthesiologist (can t remember her name but also wonderful and her assistant Gina and the other people. I felt as though there was an army of people taking care of my every need. It was truly incredible! Of course NY Presbyterian Queens is a very busy hospital and I hope I was a good patient. Living near Manhattan there s always the thought to go there BUT right HERE in Queens, 10 minutes from my house is a great hospital with great staff, oh and by the way, the cleaning staff help you too! KEEP up the great work and service to the community. You are all important; vital to our great borough of Queens and to the city of New York, I was operated on August 2nd and was released on Aug 4, 2018.
Wait 8hrs and then left.but i figure out in 8 hrs u get treatment with color and reference. I heard and i saw from my eyes ..never go there even i am dying.
Before go to this hospital read all reveiw.this hospital only for white people.whatever good reveiw its all from oen people those who get special treatment.
Waited 3 hours here for Jin to come out ... Downstairs got restroom and charging place ! Good that's all I need
Bring your own blanket. It s freezing in here. My MIL (the patient waiting in emergency) asked for a blanket and got snottily turned down by a nurse at her computer. She said I heard you the first time and you asking another nurse 10 seconds later? Be patient!
Seriously??
This should be 0. This hospital is the hospital from hell. The nurses in this are very rude and argumentative with the patient and families. You can not get any answer from anybody, all you get is I do not know, we are not sure, we are checking and so on. My husband has been in the hospital for 2 days and we still don't know what is wrong with him. You have to order your own food, have to wait for 15 to 25 for them to answer and the food is always late.
People if you want to keep your sanity, do not come to this hospital. If you need a GOOD hospital go to NYP in Manhattan. I came to this hell because the ambulance would not take us there it was too far.
Takes way to long to check you. Like you could die in here and still not be attended. Not enough doctors. I mean we get your tired but this is an emergency we wanna leave too
Excellent service, very professional, work fast, a large part of the employees are very friendly.
I went for a nuchal translucency in the perinatal clinic. This is our first child and a very important time in our lives. First, they lack professionalism. During the registration process, in midsentence, the lady doing the registration just begins talking to a colleague that had nothing to do with work. Second, the technician seemed as if she did not want to be there. She made it seem as if we (my husband and I) were a bother to her. At no time did she try to explain anything to us nor ask us if we had any questions regarding the nuchal translucency exam. I might be asking for too much but I've talked to many friends and have read many different experiences online.
I would like to thank all the staff of the delivery and maternity units of New York Presbyterian Queens (physicians, anesthesiologist, nurses), where I delivered my baby on 26th of July. My special thanks go to my doctor Andrea Olanescu and nurses of the labor and delivery department Audrie and her colleague, who helped her during my labor (unfortunately, I do not remember her name). They were so professional, so kind, so attentive and so supportive. It was such a good experience I will remember all my life!Thank you very much!!!
Worst ER ever...went in today they did absolutely nothing and had us wait 2.5 hours to do one test...and then made us wait another 3 hours for a second test...this place is such a disaster, wish I could give 0 stars instead...
They have fat and quick service. They are amazing. My father felt great less than 5 hours. Just amazed by the quality.
I have had well over a dozen hospital stay/surgeries & a multitude of ambulatory procedures due to giving birth & my health issues. I have utilized many hospitals on Long Island & a couple in Manhattan. Recently I had an ambulatory surgery (foot) performed here. I was impressed from start to finish. The staff was on target with scheduling. I felt comfortable & not anxious. I didn t even feel like I waited! I had brought a book to read, no time because of the efficiency. There were many in that morning for surgery.
The hospital is clean. The staff...doorman to nurses to doctor exceptional. I am so impressed I want to find doctors associated with NY Presbyterian.
Good vibes from all of the people i interacted with.
The transfer the call never answer and I hang up the phone
My wife pregnant she has pain we come here in hospital since 1-21pm & right now 5.30 pm & they not see her please be sure if you come here in that condition make sure first they help you or not I prefer you should choose other hospital thanks
I delivered my baby here, the service was excellent. Nice and professional staff.
The ER is a hellzone. The staff are boring and slow. It took over 2 hours for me to get an IV after speaking to the doctor. They don t comfort you or check on your needs, LIJ is much better. The Pediatrics is horrible. There s no privacy, just some cheap curtains. No doors. Then they re very cheap and split the tiny rooms, to get to the sink or trash can you have to intrude on the other people next to you. They don t check on you, no privacy, uncomfortable, miserable atmosphere. It s sorta hectic and you don t feel tended too. Don t recommend it. Boring, miserable, I cried for the 8 hours I was there. The nurses don t listen to you and that damn Chinese man can t do an IV right. L.I.J is a much better hospital if you want to feel actually welcomed. I d never go here again. And the ER waiting room is always packed and it s uncomfortable to be in a tight little room with random old people. In LIJ there s a dedicated Pediatrics ER and it gives you a good room for yourself, an actual door, and friendly people that are always asking if you need a blanket or a pillow. Didn t get asked that once here. LIJ is very swift and they re usually very fast. They make time for you. And there s people in Blue Shirts (Child Life) who ask to play games with you, talk to you, hang out, and make you feel more at home. It s a friendly hospital. Do your kid a favor and don t take them here. They ll love LIJ but this place is torture.
The staff is just the greatest and caring of all.May GOD forever bless them.
I had symptoms of (possibly) a very serious condition that required a diagnostic test. For 2 days I was made to wait to have it performed, only to get no response from the technician as to when it would happen, until evening when it was cancelled for unstated reasons. I wasn't informed that I'd need to fast for it until they simply didn't serve me breakfast or lunch, so for one day I went without food for almost 24 hours. I'd have been starved another day had I not simply left the place due to their neglect. I still don't know what I had or have, and some symptoms persist. The only things tested for where things I brought up as possible causes. Otherwise, they just storaged me and pumped me with drugs that they had no way of knowing whether or not I needed because they hadn't diagnosed me with anything. They didn't try to figure out what was wrong. 3 doctors from infectious diseases only showed up when I expressed my frustration and threatened legal action. By then I had already agreed to leave "against doctors recommendation", dressed and was ready for discharge. Healthcare in Queens New York is inferior to that of most third world countries. Just pure apathy.
My girl with a cough and temperature and They as if nothing had her sitting in a chair and covered with my sweater.
this place use to be great. I was here with my son the service is horrible if i could give no stars i would. Never coming back here ever. the nurse the staff not helpful what so ever.
really great service had my baby here a week ago an everything was to exception
This hospital is amazing.
When I had the coronavirus, I first went to the NY Presbyterian in Manhattan, the doctor there was rude saying that I should just assume I have the virus. He also said the tests are for senior citizens and medical personnel. They just did an X-ray and said I have pneumonia.
I then went to this NY Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing, and it was quite the opposite! They admitted me in right away, even though their emergency area was packed. I was tested within 30 minutes, they gave me the results later that night saying I tested positive. I don't blame them for keeping my bed at the feet of another patient, since they were packed. They took me to the basement the day after, was kinda creepy.. lol. But then ended up in their designated coronavirus patient area. I was put in a room that had a reclining chair, no bed. And the Doctors, Nurses, everyone their was amazing. Super friendly. They explained every pill, every shot, that they gave me. It was my birthday there too! The nurses gave me a bottle of water, a bag of lays, and a flower with a cute little post-it saying Happy Birthday! They also came and wished me personally. I loved it there, and they cured me so I can get back to my wife and kids! If any of the doctors or nurses that took care of me is reading this Thank You! Love you! You guys are my heroes!
Had to take a friend to the ER here nice as quick as they could be... ers are never fast. But they did what needed to do and it worked out well as it could have.
I gave birth to my daughter here on September 13 2017 and majority of the staff were AMAZING!! They went out of their way to help me out with just about everything I needed and any questions i had they answered! I felt very comfortable leaving my daughter in the hands of the nursery staff knowing she'll be taken care of for the short time she was there. I ended up with postpartum preeclampsia unfortunately and had to stay an extra day and a half and be treated but in the recovery room the staff I had were absolutely great! I was even allowed to pump breast milk and my husband was able to bring it downstairs while my daughter was in the nursery! This hospital is clean and well managed. I am very happy with my experience here! Thank you NYH!!
