good venue but staff all just seem like they dont want to be there. arent allowed outside once youre in regardless of the reason and they shove past on the floor with no manners. would be a good little club aside from that

Went to see Dead Daisies and The Answer. Had to come out before bands came on. Venue too full absolutely no room to move. Profit put before safety of fans.
Strange venue for a band the size of the wildhearts. Far too small but since the Mayfair went this is the best rock venue in Newcastle. Beer on tap is garbage but they have some decent, expensive, cans in.
No atmosphere, dreadful decor, toilets were appalling no seats no locks on the doors no toilet roll dirty and smelly (urine), drinks were extortionate and they charged whatever figure was in their heads, I will not be going back
Good venue great bands, bar shut at 9.55 so get your drinks in early! Heather Findlay and Hughes Taylor on 15 Jan 2020. Two great bands, look out for them next time.
Great venue, one of the best in Newcastle. The balcony has limited viewing area of the stage, so stay downstairs if you want to get a good spot for a band.
Seen Astroid Boys live here March 2018, lovely little venue overlooking the river. Sound quality is brilliant and stage lights looked great. Downfall is that the card machine only accepted payments over a certain amount meaning you had to buy more than one drink at a time which was awkward to carry around while trying to enjoy the music as well. However still a nice venue and would definitely return. Parking is limited for this venue as well which was a little tricky so getting there early is important if you want to get parked!
1994 was the last time I visited this small concert hall, but had a great time watching the drummer from Queen trying to deafen me. Heading back in December, hope they've got rid of all the black interior.
Zero disabled facilities, not made aware on website as they state it's wheelchair friendly. Left a few minutes after entering as didn't want to spend the entire gig looking at the backsides of the people in front.
Big and located nicely opposite the river of the Hilton hotel. Parking does charge however. Lighting is great and the venue even has a balcony to make more space for guests
Security staff grumpy and rude. One member of staff in particular bluntly criticising the band in front of fans. Not the right example to be setting to young music fans. One security guard was trying to force one of the young music fans to leave when she wasn't causing any trouble and was clearly waiting in queue to meet the band at merch stand. I thought this was shocking. As a visitor, coming to Newcastle for the first time not impressed very unprofessional and gives your venue a bad reputation. In a way this type of behaviour can be perceived as bullying tactics. Security staff should be there to prevent problems not cause them. The fans were in one tiny corner at the back behaving very well the staff could still clear the venue there was nothing preventing them from doing this and the fans cleared very quickly after meeting the band.
I'd only go here to see bands I love. Decent sound system and nice intimate size for watching a band but a bit of a dive and over priced drinks. Like a small O2 Academy.
Went to see ugly kid joe, it was absolutely fantastic and the staff couldn't help us enough. Great atmosphere, great staff, great venue and to top it off I got a pic with the lead singer Would recommend this place to anyone .
Club is awesome decent drinks prices. Dj uses auto fade and makes no effort for the punters kinda put off going to this night again as Spotify is a better dj
Went there to do photography stuff for the performers. Atmosphere was great. Drinks were decent, bartenders were friendly. Overall a great place to spend time.
Absolutely fantastic live music venue, 5 minutes walk from the station. I've been to Riverside in its hay-day, it wasn't nice. But several years have passed and what to me is a newly done out interior make for a fantastic music venue with balcony. Sound was fantastic. My only gripe is lack of nice beer, it's 2018 let's have something other than Red Strip and the other famous 4 on tap. Only reason why not 5 star.
Great sound and lighting on every occasion I've seen a live band. Door staff were helpful and respectful. Nice choice of viewpoints for gigs, balcony, rear of crowd to mosh pit. Also near some nice quayside pubs for pre and post gig drinks.
