Went to see The Macc Lads, first time going to Riverside and I went alone. It was absolutely amazing!
Went to see The Macc Lads, first time going to Riverside and I went alone. It was absolutely amazing!
I've been going here since 1996. Pick your vibe and you're laughing. From Roni Size Shindig, Bury Tomorrow to Crossfaith... I've always been entertained for almost 25yrs :)
Brilliant place, really good atmosphere...could do with a makeover but when they do it tends to ruin these places some how, so just leave it the way it is please ..prices for drinks were ok
Place looked a bit run down inside but the door staff were bad. Went to see a Punk band stated on ticket doors open at 7pm. This one door man kept everyone standing outside nearly 25 mins for no reason. It was cold, light rain and his attitude was disguting. He just kept saying to people who were trying to get in '5 mins 5 mins' 25 mins later after the stated time he let us all in. Disgusting behaviour really especially that door man.
First time here and will certainly be looking to come back in the future. A good size venue with a good sound and good drinks . A decent position in town to get to .
Always a great party night every Saturday I'm there.... Love Voodoo Saturdays at Riverside.
Great crowd, great staff, and great door team, and great prices too!
Much much more than just a pub.
Great staff and great music....to call it quirky is to only just scratch the surface.
A great place for a relaxing stroll and a coffee or wine.
Lush venue honestly, you d think it would be dodgy but nah, to the security guard that took a pic of the set list for me you are a G I love you. There s a big shiny cool disco ball, a good bar, a beautiful neon sign and at the gig I was at the crowd was mental so always adds to the experience. Defo would go back.
People running along corridors at 3am shouting. Beds are like rocks.
Lovely views and a lovely place to visit shame about the rubbish
Fantastic place and everything is best except the thing is that its too crowded.
Awesome place to go for any gig or nite out will be visiting again
A misused space. Big and with lots of potential but feels incomplete as a space and don't even get me started on the toilets....what is the layer of scum that covers everything?
Lovely views of the river, nice walks, plenty of bars and restaurants to visit amongst other attractions.
Great venue for a gig. Intimate feel so you feel really immersed in the performance
Sound was brilliant and a really fun enjoyable experience
Watched Sleeper. Gig was fantastic and the review is about the venue. So it was lots of areas to see the band, there was one bar open. Toilets we're functional but not anything special.
Cracking venue / good bands uk subs /gimp first /angelics etc pricey beer though but!
Great little venue, we came from York to a gig and it was easy to get to and free parking, ifcthetes space left.
Wonderful little gem hidden away. Menu is sparse for now but what you get is always well made. The staff are from the local college and all have some sort of learning disability. I thoroughly recommend it
Good venue, been here several times for various gigs, always a good atmosphere.
Small venue good for intimate gigs. Great selection of craft beer in cans and on tap
Poor venue.
No details of stage times on website or social media.
Unresponsive to enquiries on social media.
Expensive drinks.
Unable to leave venue between acts. Once you're in then you're in.
I would ask for a refund but I wouldn't know who to contact such is the obscurity of contact details online.
Cool venue for live music etc, not too big and decent acoustics. Drinks prices are about what you'd expect on town
An absolute pleasure to be here to watch Dragonforce live amazing experience
Was an ok night, some of the clientele where not particularly friendly. It seemed someone wanted to start a fight with me which was a little irritating. This hasn't happened at other clubs I've visited so I can't say Riverside attracts a great crowd
Good venue. Over zealous fans. Just because the band is playing acoustic doesn't mean that everyone has to be silent! Be cool people and enjoy.
Fab gig venue
Not for the fainthearted
Fantastic little venue. Went there for a wrestling show and it worked well. The drinks where cheep and the staff where helpful.
Excellent venue. Saw Lacuna Coil there. Good acoustics, good views.
Enjoyable experience. Games consoles available for free use at the bar. Would recommend for any music lover.
I was a regular feature at the old Riverside new venue just isn't the same having said that it's a great venue all the same been there a dozen times or so good sound good views OK beer.
With this Think Tank and Boilershop live music thrives once again in Newcastle
Absolutely stunning venue. Love how they've modified their clientele and style, saw Romare and Dan Shake here and the venue blew my mind at how perfect the lights, room sizes, club layout were. Can't wait to go back
This is a great venue with a reasonable sized space including a balcony area. Sound quality was good and the bands were fantastic. Drinks are not cheap but also not ridiculous.
Great venue
Smoking area
Nice bars
Great place to see up and coming new bands. Very basic, standing only but just the job.
One of Newcastle's larger music venues (and clubs), it has a good sounding PA and good looking lighting set-up. From the floor, you get a good view of the stage, however, if it's a sell-out, it can be a bit of a tight squeeze.
The bar could be better, stocking up on the usual luke-warm cans you see in other bars, helpfully poured into a plastic cup.
Small gig venue on Newcastle quayside. Nice venue with friendly staff.
The service was quick and friendly
All staff happy to help
The place was busy but kept clean too
Great to see that Sea has opened a beer garden, you can also get food from there. Great to sit by the river and have a cold pint.
Beer cold, outside cold, plastic glass, makes me sad.
First time at this venue. Great place for gigs, nice big stage, good views from everywhere , has a balcony running down one side which is the best place if you can get a spot like we were lucky enough to. Bars upstairs and downstairs, decent range of beers, not too expensive, small seating area to the rear near the merch stand. Really liked the place, looking forward to going back
Good bands but drinks were expensive for Newcastle and the gig ended at 10pm!
Went to see the PALE WHITE with my 2 daughters 18 and 14 excellent venue friendly staff superb night out
Really nice place. And the balcony over the stage gives a great view
Anywhere the Alabama 3 play is hood enough for me. Good small gig, reasonable bar prices and nice vibe.
Only seen from the outside, but appealing due to the architecture.
