They do definitely have a long wait time when it comes to making flights to the Pacific Northwest. They might not be as clean as Austin-Bergstrom international airport, but at least the place has other sanitary locations for us to sleep on during the airport.

I happened to make a transit at the Newark airport on 04/08/18. Upon arrival, our flight was delayed for 5 hours so my wife and I decided to look for a nearest restaurant to eat and watch our golf game. We called the aviation grill and morning host named Greg made our day. He actually told us to wait for the bus shuttle to transport us to the hotel. We were homely welcomed by him and he gave us a comfortable seat for us to relax, eat and watch the game. He actually would come and check up on us often to make sure everything was perfect. Such a brilliant host. You made our visit to the restaurant a pleasant one. Hoping to make another transit at Newark(smile). Thanks Greg!!! Overall a perfect stay at the marriott.

I asked for directions at the information center (obviously asking if anyone spoke Spanish) and I was treated quite badly by a man who didn't even show me his face to talk to me. If they have an information center, at least that the treatment is cordial or friendly

Close to Newark International Airport with good views of the airport from the redesigned hotel rooms which offer modern decor, marble bathrooms, ample desks and room service. There is a fitness center, free EWR shuttle and good restaurants.

It's a fine hotel if you need to stay as close to EWR as possible without sleeping inside the airport. Room was quite large, bed was comfy, food in the restaurant wasn't bad. Most annoying thing was the lack of free WiFi in the rooms. Seems like it should be a basic amenity by this point. But at least there's free WiFi in the lobby.

They are disgustingly annoying and cheat, my card was over charged for what I know nothing about and every attempt to make them reverse it proved abortive. If you must stay in this hotel please go with cash they have alot of hidden charges.

For the price it was awful. The staff treated us like "no-good vagrants" ready to rip them off before we even interacted just because I wasn't wearing a suit. There was no refrigerator, microwave. The elevator had to use a key card. Parking was outrageous charging me $25 everyday just to have my car in their empty lot. The Starbucks was only open for 4 hours and then closed the rest of the weekend. One of the employees localized their irritation to 2 pizzas brought in as if we were going to destroy the hotel via pizza box. DON'T Stay here experience was horrible.

Literally at the airport, this well maintained hotel was great inside for my conference. Just parking was annoying honestly. Paying so much for the conference, just include parking in the price then. Instead got a voucher which was nice but only like 2 machines and short time to pay and a mad rush of everyone using the machine.

So for a really old hotel, Marriott has done a good job of renovating to make this not feel like a realic from 1971 as it looks on the outside. The rooms are nicely remodeled as are the public spaces. My complaints: generally pretty overpriced... Second although you can see it and it's close to the terminals, technically your not suppose to walk it. You have to go over Baricades to get there if you walk. That's horrible... So there is the shuttle bus that they claim runs every 10 minutes. Good luck with that. It's more like every 30. Finally, third, the concierge lounge has next to nothing. Cheese cubes and a cookie at best each time I'm there. So glad I don't pay for that upgrade. Totally not worth it. So... Given the bus situation you can get an equally nice ewr hotel for half the price...

This hotel has absolutely no willingness to help its guests. I needed some change to pay the cab driver during check-in, but they said they have no change. I understand if it s their policy, but instead of just being honest, they just brushed me off leaving my family with 2 little ones outside. Worst of all, I later discovered they had an ATM machine right there in the lobby. Why not just point me to it?

Room extremely dusty, especially the curtains looked like never been washed since they were installed. In just a few hours my iPad collected a visible layer of dust. You can see the dust in the air when the curtain moves. Quilt had a large blood stain.

Check in was really quick, and the receptionist was very professional. They were also able to easily show us how to get the train into NYC from the hotel. The free shuttle was nice that ran 24/7 from the hotel to the terminals. One thing that was misleading was that it looks like you can walk from the terminal to the hotel, but there actually aren't any sidewalks or safe ways to actually do that. I thought it would be an advantage of staying at this hotel. Also, even if you stay at the Best Western right next to the NJ Transit train stop, you can't actually get walk to the train. You need to get on the airport's AirTrain to access the train platform. The building definitely was older, but they recently renovated, and everything was clean. I didn't see a fridge in the room, but we only stayed one night and didn't need it. Overall it was a good option for the price!

I'm giving this 5 stars, considering this is an airport hotel. The rooms are clean and remarkably quiet, considering the property is so close to the airport. Good food at the bar/restaurant on the lobby level. Parking is overprice, but that is to be expected.

It was a very quick trip to get to the hotel, making it convenient especially since my flight got in very late and I was very tired. It was comfortable and everything I needed was provided and it was a very nice stay.

The facilities of this hotel are good for an airport hotel, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is small but comfortable. However, the service here is very slow, and the food is only average. This is what I have after eating the room service, breakfast and dinner. The concierge here is very enthusiastic, telling me how the taxi route should go, how to price it, and how to arrange the itinerary.

My first impression of the Marriott when i first walked in through the front doors it was very clean with a calm setting also the workers were very helpful and welcoming, in addition my uncle came here after he got married they were very accommodating also included a complementary champagne bottle as a token for booking a room with the hotel for his special occasion.

Waited at least 15 minutes to be able to check in. Staff was nice but over worked. I was stunned that the only bottled water available was $4 from the lobby, which required waiting for a cashier, no machines. Felt like it was meant to make you feel fancy, but just felt like a rip off. Room service prices roughly normal, but there was a $5 charge to get it sent to the room (which made it overpriced takeout or overpriced room service - as usual with Marriott, food itself was good). Shower and bathroom overall did not feel luxurious, but were clean. Reasonably good toiletries. Bedroom furniture seemed like they were trying to compete with Airbnb but had used a consultant for an airline - weird mini couch made of material that felt like it could be mopped but hadn't been, with a strange little table - not remotely comfortable. Bedroom seemed clean, but they didn't have a protective cover on the mattress - ugh!! I don't know when hotels in the US will start switching out grimey carpets for easily cleaned tile or tile floor boards - I just can't feel clean around a hotel room carpet. Internet wasn't free - time warp! I honestly don't understand how it cost as much as it did (not that expensive for a Marriott, but really, really sub par hospitality experience). Owner or manager, I operate Airbnbs that shatter hospitality benchmarks and own a hospitality consulting company called Howard Street Hospitality Consulting - feel free to reach out to me, my intro consulting rate is a much better deal than I felt I got at the hotel. :D

I had to drop off something to the front desk for a guest to pick up, they sent me to security, security told me I should go to the front desk, then finally took it. My friend got the package, it just was annoying and they weren't that friendly

There are a hundred hotels around the area so needing to spend your money here is not necessary. I really have a problem with hotels allowing their guests to be ripped off by the cost of the restaurant and services it offers just bc nothing else is walkable or anywhere close to you. This is disappointing. Marriott usually offers at least a bottle of water or something especially for its elite members but at this hotel it's all about greed. It's the same thing as going to sporting/concert events. They rip you off on purpose bc they know you have no other choice in food/beverage options. Very disappointing.

Great Overnight experience before getting on a plane the next morning early. Stayed on the concierge level with an upgrade and the food was very good. The Staff were super friendly and I got the wOw feeling walking into this higher end hotel lobby. Comfortable beds and clean room, although room size is a bit smaller. FREE shuttle to and from airport as well. Will stay again and highly recommended.
