Extremely satisfying stay, water access, great views, bar, restaurant free hot breakfast & clean comfortable rooms, very friendly staff....

Phenomenal ME location, quality dining, and A+ accomodations.

We stayed here a few years ago and absolutely loved it. We were so excited to return. But... rooms are shabby. Lights don t work, rickety furniture, faulty ac, no towels anywhere upon arrival. Now a botched or delayed linen delivery can happen anywhere, especially during a pandemic. But the front desk staff was not exactly apologetic. And when I went down to alert them... very politely and with understanding... that we were very disappointed in our 2 rooms and would happily pay for an upgrade, there were no rooms available. If the hotel is at half capacity how can there be no available rooms? Pool area was strewn with dirty towels and abandoned glasses, garbage. The location is lovely, but our rooms right off the main staircase were a huge let down. Would not return for another stay.

The room was nice. The property is beautiful. Well maintained. The staff are very friendly. I'd say the only downsides in my personal opinion are the coffee (weak) and the restaurant takes a long time and often misses things.

A wonderful place to stay in maine. It is a hotel for those tired of fighting with the big name chains. They have just as much amenities of a hotel and the community feeling you get at bed and breakfast. Each room features beautiful decorations and is unique. For those searching for something different they offer suites and cottages. The hotel offers a game room with bowling,foosball, and shuffleboard. Unfortunately you have to sacrifice some modern amenities and getting a cottage is difficult. Also the A.C. is difficult to operate but we still had a great night sleep.

We came for a large family wedding. Every staff member was welcoming and so helpful and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and offered many things to do and places to relax or gather with friends and family. Views were spectacular. Food was delicious. The only thing I didn't like about my stay was leaving.

Lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, great views. Restaurant on site is delicious, the lawn lobster bake was fantastic, there are lawn games and rowboat available for guests to use as well as a sunset path with a gorgeous view. Will definitely be staying again!

This place is amazing! The staff is very courteous, the food is perfect and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Love it! We will be back.

We just left Newagen Seaside Inn this morning and were very pleased. Our room was in the main inn. Checking in was a breeze. All staff were very nice and seemed very happy to be working there. The room was very clean and had a newly re-modeled bathroom. Room and bathroom was very small but adequate. Furnishings were older. Linens were luxurious as were the toiletries. The grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained. The views were breathtaking. We ate our night meal at the restaurant. Service exceeded all our expectations and food was excellent both in taste and presentation. Breakfast comes with the room. It was a full delicious meal and again service very good. I am sorry that we only stayed one night. Would definitely like to go back and stay longer.

Always a comfortable environment, like coming home. Tian is a great server, and remembers us year after year..

This is our second year coming up here from northern Virginia, and we love this place. Already planning our trip back here next summer. Perfect location where u can open windows & hear the waves crashing as you go to sleep. Bar & fire pit are the best!!

My experience there was delightful. The views and sights were beautiful. The people there were great I needed dinner late but the pub was closed so they went out of there way to help me in getting some amazing lobster bisque (If you go there you need to get some)

Amazing place, if it nad been not for the price I would have made it a 5 star. Room and location were awesome. Most rooms have balconies, which is great. So many outdoor activities! Small outdoor pool, which is salt water from the bay, very nice. Life-sized games like jenga, connect 4 and shuffle board. I'd check before booking if there is an event going on, as they'll take up the outdoor space. The breakfast was a traditional continental breakfast, which was disappointing for the price. Definitely spent an 2 nights there.

Spending the weekend here for the LoCurcio Wedding, i must say i absolutely love EVERYTHING about The Newagen Seaside Inn. The coastline and cove along the property are breathtaking, we took a stroll along the Sunset Trail and came across 2 chairs facing the bay and talk about peace and quiet. The staff is amazing, very friendly and over the top helpful. The rooms are just right, idk why people complain about no tv, relax and enjoy your company. I'm having a great time and wish i didn't have to leave tomorrow. Great job all around thank you for an amazing weekend with my family!

Wonderful hospitality! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do on the property but also a short drive from Boothbay! The inn is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect place for our mini-moon. We extended our stay to enjoy everything the area had to offer. The Pine Room (game room) was so neat, the guest room was clean and cozy, and we had an incredible view of the water. We can not say enough about the hospitality. Abby was so kind and welcoming and the rest of the staff was excellent as well. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect!!

I've visited Newagen Seaside Inn a number of times first meals and the occasional overnight stay. Always a good experience.

We had a really incredible mini-moon , staying at the Newagen. The views are spectacular, with the picturesque Maine deep-blue waters, and a very nice property to walk on. Our rooms were very clean, and our upgrade to the little inn with a private balcony was phenomenal. The manager, Abby, was super nice and helpful and helped make our vacation a truly special one!

Also, the food at the restaurant is amazing, and would definitely recommend going multiple times

I had the pleasure of treating myself to a one-night stay at the Newagen Seaside Inn this summer after delivering a wedding cake to a nearby home. The dining room was closed for another wedding and the front desk staff directed me to Boothbay for a delicious meal at Ports of Italy. I knew about the wedding when I booked the room and was ok with the dining room being closed and the noise of the band. Most of the hotel guests were at the wedding. The suite I stayed in was comfortable and clean. The dining room staff was lovely when I went down for lunch before I checked out. I look forward to returning another time when I can spend more time exploring the grounds and enjoying amenities at the hotel.

Just visited to inquire about booking a future event there. Views are amazing and accommodations appear quite awesome. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Cherie went out of her way and took us down to the Chamber of Commerce to speak with the lovely reps about what activities and attractions the area offers and to collect brochures to help us with our planning. Can't wait to stay there next summer!

Newagen Seaside Inn is FANTASTIC. Beautiful location; Clean, comfortable rooms; Great food; Above all, the staff is spectacularly friendly and the service impeccable. On our last visit this past summer, we brought our infant daughter and the owner made sure we had everything we needed. She even stayed late to make sure an air conditioning malfunction was taken care of. We can't wait until our next visit!

I have photographed weddings here over the years and it continues to be one of my favorite venues. Secluded with surrounding ocean views and a quality staff, honestly they are the best. You can't go wrong booking your event here.

Beautiful location. Check in with Abby was wonderful. Drinks by Tian were fantastic. Service by Maggie and Xander at dinner was spectacular. Had a very relaxing long weekend away close to our home in Maine. Fantastic experience. We will be back.

The food from the restaurant was very good. Room service was excellent. Though raining for all but for our last day there the views were excellent. If we are in Booth Bay again we will be back. For those who might need to get some work in while they're the internet was the best I have ever had while on vacation.

Awesome, secluded vacation retreat...away from it all. Charming seaside hotel. Intimate and very romantic.

I was there this weekend and stayed in the Starfish Cottage. The land line was not connected to a phone service, the wifi in the cottage was spotty at best. We asked for towels a couple times before we picked them up at the front desk. When we asked to have dirty linens removed the attitude from the staff was like it was an imposition to do so. There is a binder on the coffee table encouraging guests to if they need anything, its too bad the written material didn't match the staff's attitude.

Had a wonderful lunch and afternoon with my family. The calamari is the best! The tiki bar area is my new favorite hiding/relaxing spot. Perfect day. Perfect service! Thank you NSI!!!

Didn't stay a night or have a meal at the pub, but did slip down the trail to the water where the Rachel Carson memorial is and enjoyed the sunset. Will have to come back for dinner, both that and accomodations looked incredible.

Fabulous place to stay. We stayed here last fall as well traveled throughout New England for fall foliage. Their well maintained flower gardens are second to none. So peaceful and tranquil down by the water. Such a lovely place. There menu was fantastic. During our stay we had many items including steamed mussels, wonderful New England Clam Chowder, crab cakes, salads, etc. with plenty of cold beers and wine. We had fun bowling a couple games on their antique Bowling Lanes. The water views are superb. We had such a wonderful stay we look forward to when we can return.

Went for a wedding, it was absolutely beautiful. The staff was courteous and helpful. A great experience.

All the staff was friendly, and the spruce cottage had an awesome view to wake up to! Some parts are on the old side and it isn't cheap but we had a blast and it's hard to beat the location. Stop by the alpaca farm when you visit!

Our family stayed here during our vacation in Booth Bay, and this hotel was phenomenal. There is a lot to do at the hotel, such as a game room (with bowling and other games) and a heated pool. If your visiting Booth Bay, this would be the best place to stay at.

What an amazing place to go. Amazing wedding venue with amazing views, rooms and game hall. Eat lobster caught right in the bay or take a boat around the harbour. The staff are friendly and extremely accommodating and help make sure while you are there, your trip is the best. I cannot say anything that all of the glowing reviews haven't said already. It is one of those places that you can see pictures of, but not understand what the place really is until you experience it for yourself.

First time visitor and we chose the Newagen Seaside Inn. If you want to step back in time a little where you aren t bombarded with screens or music, this is the place for you. It s remote and quiet and makes you long for times when families took trips without iPads and DVDs. The in-house restaurant is pretty good and the bartender, Tian, makes a flawless old fashioned. We ll be back next year.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from the patio was lovely including gardens and boating. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a great place to experience Maine.

The location, service, and food are all spectacular at the Newagen! We stayed 5 nights as part of our mini honeymoon and we had an amazing time. The people who work here, most notably Abby the manager, are attentive and helpful. Abby upgraded our room to the Little Inn, and we were so thrilled to have a spacious room with a terrace overlooking the water. I would highly recommend staying at a room in the Little Inn as the regular inn rooms have thinner walls. The service was excellent and the Covid precautions were great. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. The area in Southport is also gorgeous, and you are a quick drive into Boothbay Harbor. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I just returned home after a 3 day stay at Newagan Resort. We were lucky to get a great price as a result of their Pay What You Can offer for Maine residents during the month of June. We stayed in the Little Inn with a large and well appointed room complete with a comfortable king bed, amazing shower, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, take away continental breakfast, and deck with super comfy cushioned chairs and amazing ocean view! We brought our own bikes to explore the island but the resort provides bikes to borrow. We loved walking the beautiful grounds and sitting in numerous areas to enjoy the oceanfront views. At cocktail time, we enjoyed sitting outside on comfy sofas sipping on drinks and enjoying a delicious appetizer. One day we had mussels which were amazing. Another day the calamari which was the best preparation we have experienced. We also loved the crab cakes. The outdoor deck also has a fire pit that others enjoyed but we loved our excellent service right on the lawns.

For dinner, we were not ready to dine inside so we ordered take out each night and found every meal amazing. The potions were large so we shared one entree each evening. We brought our own plates, wine and wine glasses so we could thoroughly enjoy the dining experience on our deck. We had the shrimp fettuccine, ravioli, and halibut and each was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious!

Many guests enjoyed the pool area but we didn t use that area.

One day we went to the nearby Southport General Store 4 miles away and got lobster rolls then drove a half mile to Hendricks Beach. We had packed our folding chairs for this purpose and enjoyed a lunch on the beach!

Another day we had lunch at McSeagulls in Boothbay Harbor. Since the outdoor deck is open air, we felt very safe and comfortable eating there. All staff wear masks. Nd diners are expected to wear them when walking in the common area.

The Newagon staff was great and the stay felt very safe in terms of mitigation efforts for the virus. Everyone has to wear a face covering when in common indoor areas.

Highly recommend this great resort

Great service and food in the restaurant. Had to deal with unwanted guests. FLIES. Please make arrangements to have the doors closed. Each time someone leaves the dining room to go out on the deck they leave the door open for the uninvited flies to come into the restaurant. Pumps can be installed on the doors to pull them closed.

Excellent Inn on the rocky coast of Boothbay Harbor area. Minutes to Sanford and the town of Boothbay. Excellent breakfast each morning and the morning walks to the adjacent cove were spectacular. Would definitely stay again.

I feel like I got a better room at any holiday inn or Hampton inn. The location was kinda cool. Nothing here like remotely wowed me. For the standard rate to start at $199 a night I expected alot more.

Was working up there for Epoxy Floors North LLC beautiful scenery even in the winter

We are really enjoying our stay! I am sitting in front of a roaring fire, listening to live music, my wife is doing a puzzle, all after a delicious meal. This place has it all and then some. We highly recommend both the inn & restaurant. The staff really is top notch, it shows that they enjoy working here. 5 stars!

This inn is one of the loveliest places I've stayed. The indoor spaces, including the rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated. The outdoor spaces were perfect for sitting quietly and listening to the sounds of the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, both before and during my stay. The food was delicious. I hope to come back again next summer.

Visited this hidden beauty this weekend and what a pristine view of the ocean. Its a great quiet get away and if you are looking for a spot to relax and enjoy some laid-back Maine living this is as nice as any.

I love the Newagen Seaside Inn. It has everything you need to get away from the world. The views of forest and ocean are beautiful. The Inn has maintained its charm and has been updated so that it works well for today's traveler. The dining room has amazing food. The breakfast buffet is really good. This is a place where you can relax, have a swim or just sit on a deck and read.

Nice place, On its own point and boat dock, campfire pits around the property, with truly , million dollar views! Dinner for 4 halibut not included will be 170.00 bucks easy so be prepared, and that was with only one in the party drinking:(

Great old fashioned family Maine seaside get away! Modern amenities (air conditioning and wifi) are sub par, but the grounds, simple leisure activities, service and general ambiance of the Inn far out weigh those two complaints.

Beautiful! Celebrated our anniversary here. Great accommodations and gorgeous views. Didn't want to leave. Abby was so helpful, attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

What a great place to stay! Feels like you stepped back in time, and sums up what Maine is all about. The Inn is a little older, and with the wood floors you can here everything conversation in the main lobby in the morning. So if you are someone who enjoys sleeping in, then avoid the rooms that are located within the Inn (We stayed in the Blueberry Room). They have many other rooms not within the Inn to select from. However, the overall experience was what was hoped for. Will definitely return next year! And finally, Debbie at the front desk was an exceptional host. She just made you feel so welcome, and was about the most helpful person you could ever meet. The Newagen Inn is so fortunate to have someone like her representing their business. I'm in the hospitality/service business and would hire Debbie in a heartbeat if she was willing to relocate. Thank you Newagen for making this weekend trip very memorable. John

Got married here and had the best experience! Sandy and her team were amazing to work with and were extremely accommodating. Our guests gave endless compliments and seemed to also be very pleased with their experience. I'm so glad we chose Newagen Seaside Inn for our wedding!

Good location for a wedding, though it is very secluded.

3 star hotel it is. Even though located in a beautiful area with amazing views, this hotel needs a lot of improvement.
First of all, the check in is at 4pm. They explain this rather late check-in by saying they need to clean the rooms only few hours after the previous guests have left. But then they ask you to check out at 10am! Basically you lose 2 days.
Also, the rooms are not very clean. Especially the floors and doors. They have no TV s in the regular rooms.
But the main reason I would not recommend this particular hotel is because they don t have traditional service now. They only change your towels if you request it and they don t even clean out the garbage cans every day. In other words its more like Self Service.

We had a great Elopement and stay at a Newagen! It was perfect in every way. We will definitely be back to enjoy this special place and enjoy the beautiful views, delicious food and mouth watering drinks!

Wonderful old Maine resort. Did a fantastic job with our niece's wedding

I would rate the service staff with five stars and the hotel accommodations at three stars. We had room 101 which was very clean but had very noisy floor boards, a very noisy bed, and an air conditioner which could not adequately cool the room. The remote for the air conditioner (which is necessary to use) had very inadequate instructions. The grounds were poorly kept as was the game room. The breakfast buffet was very good with the food being kept warm and well stocked. Excellent coffee at breakfast. The restaurant was very good but a little pricey for the quality.

Beautiful location! Accommodating staff! Loved the candlepin bowling!

Service was great, food was even better. The Jamaican Curry had perfectly cooked vegetables and the curry was neither overpowering nor tasteless. The shrimp fettuccini was awesome. The madeira sauce was fabulous. Dinner was finished off with a chocolate tart that was super.

The person who checked us in had the most bubbly personality and was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable and beautifully dressed.

The bathroom was a little small, but very updated and comfortable. How does the glass shower door not get water spots!?!

We were here during COVID and were amazed with how clean and protected everything was. This hotel cares about keeping everyone safe. We had our own little to-go breakfast boxes in the morning!

The grounds are gorgeous. The room overlooked out to the ocean and was breathtakingly beautiful.

The hotel is secluded on a small peninsula but still close to a wonderful, cozy port town.

Incredible family-oriented old-school resort/compound. Have been going for years. Always a pleasure! Coastline sunsets, bicycles, candlestick bowling, yard games, tennis, campfires, tall tales, folk musicians... all for your enjoyment... Please support them as best you can!

A hidden treasure that we discovered while spending a couple of days in Boothbay Harbor. We had a wonderful lunch and walked the grounds after.
